Better than book 1 but not by much 3.75 ⭐
Again, the book has not seen an editor and it needs one not just for errors but also for content. Again, on every other page there are errors with missing words like he, double words like that that in sentences, words out of order in sentences, and it happens consistantly throughout both books. In addition, it was repetitive, which made it feel long. Everytime Gabriel, spoke, whispered, grunted, threatened, he did it with a growl. The word growl appears more than any other in the book. The sex scenes were repetitive, from the acts, the descriptions of them were all the same and 90% of the story was them banging. Dont get me wrong, i love dark romances with lots of sex, but it was boring overkill in this book. The last couple of chapters were unnecessary and boringly long, and the epilogue was not needed, which i just ended up skimming and skipping through because i was long overdue to see the end of this book & series. Sam was not written as a 32 plus year old as she was supposedly that age. She was a miserable, ungrateful, stubborn and almost always wrong, aggrevating character that never grew throughout the series. Gabrielle was a great character, and i dont understand how anyone like him would put up with her constant disbelief and trust in him and her whiny biotchy attitude without dumping them and never looking back. The book would have been much better if you easily cut out a 100 or more pages of total, repetitive bologney. I was Disappointed
