I thought that this lunch break read was just okay. There wasn't a whole lot of story. In fact, I would say most of it was a sexy time scene which was kind of boring and I mostly skimmed over. The writing wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. It was an okay read but I won't revisit it.

This is a sweet romance novella. It's about Katie and Ezra. They met 8 years ago when Katie was 16 and Ezra was 32. He was the summer camp counsellor and Katie fell head over heels. Something happened and he pushed her away in a cruel manner, which left her scarred.
He stayed celibate for the next 8 years while she dated around. That's a switch-up from other books! I didn't really like that factor but otherwise it was a really enjoyable read.
Now, Katie needs help from a bad date. She just so happens to run into Ezra in the mountains while she was running away. He cares for her... and soon, the past is brought up and they confess their feelings!

The Mountain Man's Temptation is the first book in the Men of Burly Bear series by Felicity Raine. It's a short, fast, well-written story. I love a good age gap story and this one delivered. It's definitely not everyone's jam, and I tried it because it sounded intriguing. If you like a little taboo in your romance, you will love this.

This is a quick, over the top story about an Alpha who finally gives himself permission to go after who he wants. There is a 16 year age gap and a little daddy/lg play/talk. I liked the low-drama overall, but also the clever crazy person in the beginning. The audacity and level of crazy was hilarious.

She finally gives in to a male teacher at the school she teaches at but the date ends with him driving her into the mountains and being so creepy he scares her into jumping from the car and running into the trees. The whole karma thing works in her favor and she sees a cabin and runs to the door knocking frantically calling out for help. None other than Ezra answers the door. They have a talk and discover they both still love each other and now their both old enough to act on it. This book is also about Katie calling Ezra "daddy" during sex. I didn't take it she put him in her father's place but called him daddy because it turned them both on. They have sex without anything preventing pregnancy. That's another turn on to them as the thought of her increasing with his child is "hot" to them.

Katie sees Ezra for the first time in 8 years while on the run from a truly creepy first date. She runs away from her date and ends up on Ezra's doorstep. Ezra was the owner of a summer camp that Katie attended and fell for Katie when she was 16 and felt like a monster for thinking of her in the ways that he did so he sold the summer camp and became a recluse on a mountain. Ezra kept up with Katie's life until she went to college. Once they meet again they let their feelings for each other known and they get together. This was such a good story about them reuniting with their soulmate and finally having that happily ever after that they both desperately wanted with each other.

I did enjoy this book, although it was a pretty quick read. I like how Ezra and Katie, who liked each other for the longest time ended up being together. The story was exciting at the beginning when Katie was on her supposed date and I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but when she finally gets together with Ezra after years and years, I wish the story was a little more exciting. It was definitely steamy and I really liked both main characters. I also really liked Katie's sister and can't wait until I read her story with her own older gentleman. I received an advance review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

This was book 1 in the
"Men of Burly Bear"
. This was a short quick read that I liked. Ezra ran a summer camp until he started having feelings for Katie a teenager, he was twice her age, so he left. He moved and secluded himself in the mountains and away from temptation. Eight years later Katie is on a date that goes horribly wrong and ends up on Ezra’s doorstep. This was a pretty good age gap story that had some hot sexy scenes in it. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar and spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Ezra and Katie knew each other a long time ago. They wanted one other, but it wasn't possible then. Neither forgot the other, and when fate puts them together once again, they're not wasting time, and taking full advantage of this gift.
A quick read, this age-gap romance is a beautiful story. I thought the storyline was great, and even though it was quick, there was plenty story, and I didn't feel the story was rushed. And hot--really, really HOT!

Ms. Raine certainly has a knack for delivering a hot and steamy romance that will leave you in need of a tall glass of ice water. Ezra and Katie’s connection started when their love was forbidden. But when their paths unexpectedly cross again eight years later, their souls once again ignite leading them into each other’s arms with a love they’ve always longed to share together. This novella is a quick read that you won’t want to put down.

This is a HOT age-gap romance. It's a novella, but gives you a full story with flashbacks and an epilogue. Absolutely LOVED it!! There's a little bit of suspense, then so much FIRE and sweetness!!!
These narrators are AWESOME! I always love Amanda Watson, but Noel Harrison is new to me and I LOVE his growly voice!!!!
If you want a quick, steamy listen, this is the one for you! I listened while I drove to our camper. I can't WAIT for the kids to go to bed, so I can listen to another one of these Men of Burly Bear!!

The author has given us a fast paced story that pulls us into the lives of Ezra and Katie. Eight years ago, she was a camper at a summer camp run by Ezra. She had a major crush on him but he pushed her away because of the age difference between them, as well as legal issues. This was not my thing. I knew it was an age gap, taboo, super steamy romance. But I wasn’t prepared for the daddy/little girl dynamic or the breeding trope. Both of those make me cringe. Hard. The story started out exciting, witty, and promising. But the instalove moved too fast. And I didn’t feel like I knew the characters at all. Everything was really over the top. There was plenty of down and dirty sex throughout, so that may make it worth it for others.

Loved It!
What a fantastic introduction to a new to me author, that was recommended through a FB book group. It was very well written, and I enjoyed their backstory, and her amazing sister. Loved their honesty, passion, lust and love for each other. What a perfect happily for now and always, just for them, ending.

age gap goodness
This story started out so exciting and kinda crazy and then….well, it just got super hot and steamy. The scenes between Ezra and Katie were very hot and I only took a star off bc I’m not into the LG/ daddy talk. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. And I look forward to reading more. If you like age gap, this is a good one.

Oh, to be young!!
