At her breaking point, Narcissa risks everything and follows a hunch she has on Severus Snape to save Draco from the Dark Lord constant torture. That’s how Draco Malfoy ends up waking up in a tent in the middle of nowhere, Potter, Weasley and Granger perched over him, his wrists bound to an old camping cot and his wand nowhere to be found.
His mother had exchanged his life for a cup, a stupid cup, entrusting him to their helpless enemies.
She had clearly lost her mind.
‘It’s not just a cup’ said Granger gritting her teeth.
‘It’s not just a cup’ Draco repeated mocking her.
‘This is going to be a disaster’ muttered Potter massaging his temples.
Dramione. Narcissa gets Draco out because she's worried the Dark Lord is going to kill him. She drops him off with Harry on the horcrux hunt. Great smut and believable trauma. Some of the best conflicted Nottpott I've ever read. Story continues into several year post-war and gives a very satisfying HEA. Rolf Scamander kills it as an OC in this. Some lines are laugh out loud hilarious. Great Snake/Lion friendships.
Another horcrux / on the run, 7th year fic where Draco is dropped off at The Golden trios camp by Narcissa, barely alive after countless Crucio curses by Voldemort. ( she followed Snape’s patronus.
- camping, horcrux hunt, secret “not” relationship, blood wards, blood purifying, NottPott, misunderstanding trope that causes major angst.
A lot of POV from Harry that I really enjoyed. End battle was also well written. Loved Theo and Harry as it was a quick/explosive pairing. That became messy and confusing for them. Everything that was angsty, they handle with angry passion. Fucking loved it and wanted more.
With Draco and Hermione there was Lots of guilt between the pair that honestly grew tiresome (misunderstanding trope *eye roll). I felt it was unnecessary and dragged out.
Ending was a lot of timeline jumping that came off a bit mismatched. Again, unnecessary, like author wasn’t sure how to end it.
Dramione is still really good. Hermione struggling to keep the trio alive during the war then Draco stepping in to lend a hand while effortlessly loving her will always be a good read. Plus, the side Theo/Harry pairing💗💗
The story was fun, until the end. With so many POVs it felt repetitive, the lack of communication felt juvenile and forced. The ending was also very rushed.
