This was exactly the book I needed after I lost my beloved 21 year old cat. I was heartbroken and this book was exactly what I needed as I navigated the sometimes overwhelming grief that I experienced. It is gentle and wise ... her voice is particularly soothing and easy to listen to. The information and tools were helpful even though some of it was a little more hokey than I am comfortable with. Everyone grieves differently and I found that I was able to take what I needed and skim over things that weren't as helpful. The first 2 chapters in particular were really helpful. Overall, this is a really good book about grief ... I can see it being helpful for other types of grief beyond pet loss. I will revisit this one for sure!
