Second chances at life and new friendships are sometimes exactly what you need.

Austin “Kitt” Kitteridge knows firsthand that it only took seconds for your life to change. When a ride on a bull that’s never been ridden before goes terribly wrong, Kitt suddenly finds himself retired from the rodeo circuit and left wondering what’s next. He knows he doesn’t want to go back to Texas, and when a phone call from the Carmichael twins offers a new start, he jumps at the chance. Not only are they more than willing to offer him a place to heal, but something new to focus on in life. What he didn’t expect was the gorgeous, blue-eyed cook.

Brendon Sagehorn likes his job working as head cook at a restaurant in Steamboat Springs. But when a new kitchen manager is hired, they don’t see eye to eye and things become stressful. Fortunately, a chance phone call from Gideon Carmichael offers not only better pay and benefits but less stress, so he jumps at the opportunity to become the cook for Broken Arrow Ranch. Even if the guest ranch isn’t up and running yet, his skills are needed because the four retired rodeo cowboys can’t cook. What he doesn’t expect is the cute Texan he longs to make smile. But Kitt is recovering from a badly broken leg and the last thing he’ll want is Brendon’s attention.

Kitt and Brendon are both attracted to each other but with Kitt recovering, the twins being overprotective, and Brendon dealing with parental issues, they settle into a friendship that both seem to need. When flirting starts, all bets are off and Brendon sets out to win the guy with the sexy twang. Will he win his heart?

Kitt is the second book in the Broken Arrow Ranch series. This book has a broken bull rider, a cook that knows how to bake cookies, and a found family that takes care of each other. It is a slow-burn, friends first with a HEA.

Both men came to the Broken Arrow Ranch for a new start.
Their new cook, Brendon, 33, ex-football player,

a big guy, 6'5", 270, has a Sphinx cat, Gordon. He's tired of his folks pushing him to coach football instead of the cooking he loves.
Kitt, 31, an ex-bull rider is lean and lanky,

with a broken leg, physical therapy, and he will be the Ranch's guest organizer. He struggles greatly with his physical needs and has nightmares.
All of the men are at a point in their lives to try something fresh. An LGBTQ+ Ranch seems to draw them in.

Construction is in full swing.
Kitt asks Brendon to marry him right away, but everyone thought he was joking.
The two get closer, and learn about each other as friends, before things escalate as lovers later on.

We see Brendon's misguided folks, his restaurant issues, and the new role he has at the Ranch.
Decisions are being made and all of the guys have discussions and plans.

These two men are perfect for each other. Fun, bold, outspoken and super sexy.

The end is satisfying with great future hopes.
ENJOY !

I was looking for my next read when I happened to stumble on a new to me author and a group of cowboys. I enjoyed the first book in the series, Gabriel and happy that a second book was already released.

The second book, Kitt is about an injured bullrider , which I can never say no too! It does have a re-occurring theme and the stories intertwine so it best to read in order. Kitt was injured in the ring and knew he couldn’t continue on the circuit anymore. He gets an offer from his friends Gabriel and Gideon to heal and help start a LGBQ ranch. This is an offer he cant say no too. Fortunately for him the ranch also needed a cook and in walks in the man of his dreams, Brendan.

These two were in the previous book and couldn’t wait for their story. I loved watching these men move from friends to something more. They were perfectly suited for one other. There was minimal drama but any to keep the story moving. Brendan is dealing with overbearing but well meaning parents. Kitt is dealing with a new reality of a career change. He is afraid of this but jumps right into his relationship.

Some parts were a bit wordy (there was a lengthy trip to the gym that wasn’t necessarily needed) but I could overlook some of the fluff. We are also gifted a bonus chapter about these two.

Kitt by Taylor Rylan is the second book in the Broken Arrow Ranch Series. If you read Book 1 first you will have a better understanding of what is happening in this story. The backstory is that 4 rodeo stars have basically retired because they were getting older and had lost their passion for the sport and one got badly hurt and is recovering. Two of them (twins Gabriel and Gideon) inherited a ranch outside Steamboat Springs and decided to turn it into a dude ranch for LGTBQ+ vacationers. During this book they are working on the ranch to get it ready to be opened the following summer. The other two are going to be working there and are taking college courses to help them out when it opens. This story is about Kitt and Brendon. Kitt was thrown from a bull and then stomped on. This badly hurt his leg and he is recuperating from his injuries at the ranch. He is taking college courses so he can be in charge of guest services when it opens. Brendon is a cook in a restaurant in town and is getting tired of being overworked. The twins are looking for a cook for the dude ranch and ask Brendon if he would be interested after tasting his great food. He decides to take the job and meets Kitt. They have an instant attraction and at first don’t act on it but then they decide to try to build a relationship. Getting in the way are the others who are babying Kitt because of his serious injuries, both men have problems with their parents they have to deal with, and most of the story takes place during the Colorado winter which makes traveling difficult. One of the things I like about this book is the character building. You get to know all of the characters well and especially Kitt’s and Brendon’s motivation for what they do. There is a small amount of angst that keeps the story moving. One interesting thing that I found was that this story takes place at about the same time as the first book in the series. You don’t often find that and it helps you remember what is happening in the previous story and how it affects this one. There is also a hairless cat that steals the show! I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series as it is about the fourth member of the rodeo group and I can’t wait to hear his story.

I really enjoyed this latest book in the Broken Arrow Ranch series. Kitt is a former bull rider who is recovering at the ranch from the last ride he took that broke his leg. While at the ranch, he meets Brendon who is the new cook at the ranch. Brendon is excited for the opportunity, he is ready for a change from the job he had prior. Too many long hours and long days and never getting time off wears on a person and Brendon has had enough. The opportunity to be the ranch's new cook couldn't of come at a better time. Meeting Kitt was the icing on the cake for him. Sparks immediately fly between the two of them. Their story was a delicious slow burn and when they finally make that move, it was so worth the wait. I was hooked from beginning to end. I laughed, cried and swooned throughout their story. I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this book to all and I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series. Well done!!!

I am loving this series – Kitt and Brendon was another amazing addition.

Kitt and Brendon had such a wonderful, slow, sweet path to their HEA. They both have things they struggle with – Kitt is recovering from a being thrown and stomped while Brendon is recovering from being overworked/underappreciated and struggling with an issue with his parents (no spoilers, I promise!). This isn’t instalove but there is instant chemistry. It was clear from the offset that these two could be amazing together and they took the time to truly build something. There was some angst but generally speaking this was pretty low-angst. Mostly, we got to see two people working through their own problems and building something together. Loving the series so far and can’t wait for the next one!

This is the second story in the Broken Arrow Ranch series by Taylor Rylan. This was fantastic!! I seriously loved every word in this story! Kitt is a retired rodeo bull rider who is recovering at the Broken Arrow from a broken leg. He meets Brendon who’s been hired to be the ranch cook. Brendon is stressed out at his job as a cook in the local restaurant when Gideon Carmichael calls him and offers him a better offer that what he’s doing now. Brendon and Kitt hit it off right from their first meeting. They have serious chemistry! I love how the author weaves the story. I love the found family that Kitt has!! Overall this is a fantastic story, it was really well written, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

If you love a slow burn and good character development, this is the series for you. In the first Broken Arrow Ranch book, Gabe, we met Kitt and Brendon, but here we are immersed in their story. Both characters are faced with the need for change and transition, and lucky for them, they find each other in the process. Taylor Rylan writes really good stories about cowboys and ranchers, but she also gets to the heart of the matter in her character development - she doesn't gloss over the challenges, recognizing that change is hard, but shows how good it is to have people who love and support us along the way. I love the Broken Arrow Ranch universe unfolding before us - how intertwined the characters are. I can't wait to see what happens next. You can read this as a standalone book, but I think you'll enjoy it more if you read Book 1 - Gabe first. Happy reading!

This was a sweet friends to lovers slow burn story. Kitt and Brendon make such a good couple. Two completely different men but their bond is rock solid. The side characters play a significant role and it definitely gives meaning to the phrase found family. I look forward to the next books in the series.

Almost DNF.

Kitt was a bull rider but all we kept getting told about was how small he was in stature.

His friends/ bosses Gabe and Gideon treated him like a child and unless there was something I missed by not reading book one this made no sense. They all seem to be in their thirties so not sure why they acted like this but it annoyed me.

I really enjoyed the sweet slow burn between Kitt and Brendon, two wonderful main characters who each come into the relationship with some baggage.

Kitt is recovering at the ranch with injuries sustained whilst bull riding and Brendon joins the ranch as its cook. Even with Kitt’s injuries making him a bit grumpy, they develop a strong friendship. Although Brendon has an issue with his parents that gets him down, he’s so easy going and is a gentle giant with a love of cooking. The chemistry between these two likeable main characters slowly bubbles and builds until they can’t deny it any longer and the steamy times commence, even if they need to keep the noise down due to thin bedroom doors and lots of roommates! They do achieve their much desired HEA with only a very slight hiccup along the way that doesn’t distract them from what they both want.

I finished this engaging and enjoyable read with a happy feeling in my heart and cannot wait for more in the series.

Fantastic book about how tough rodeo can be. It tells of the possible cost of riding. This book shows that you don't have to be blood to be family.Parents can be ass .It shows narrow mindedness of some parents and how others accept and love their children.Following 2 men find themselves and love

A Reasonable Sequel

This second book has a storyline which runs concurrent with some of the storyline from book one. There are shared characters though little overlap in actual plots. Decent character development and some rather intense scenes, plus the requisite detailed sex scenes. Ends with a promise for a positive future for Kitt and Brendon.

Great series

Loved the book and can't wait for the next one. Start out with the series because some of the characters are interdce in another series of books and now reading these I can't wait for the next. Love how the author makes most characters sassy and manly and still keep you interested in the romance of the story.

Good story

Mitt feels as though he's worthless and that he's being treated as a child. Brendan is overworked and in the eyes of his father, hasn't reached his potential that his father thinks he should be at. However, Kitt and Brendan are both loved and they really love each other.

I thought Kitt’s and Brendon’s book was brill and I really enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship though Kitt did propose to Brendon straight after eating one of his cookies. They have hurdles to overcome with their friends and Brandon’s family. Can’t wait for the next one.
