I've got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
So honestly I'm going to give this book 4.2 stars. The story itself was amazing. I just think that because I didn't reread the first two books to find out what the story is about again, I was kind of lost at the beginning.
First two books, I remember, were a top 5 stars no doubt! I loved them so freaking much. I just think that since that time my needs for a book changed a tiny bit and now I'm looking for more.
The book starts with Fallon being in haze and seeing her daughter Luna. We get to see the fight Fallon does with herself all throughout the first third of the book. It's not a boring part, it's more like we get to see inside her head and what is happening.
These feelings and emotions she has inside, I bet we all felt. Being lost and wanting to give up rather than continue to live. Sometimes we think that if we could change the past, the future wouldn't hurt and would've been better/easier. That's not true though and that's something Fallon is going through. She has people around her that support her and want her to get better, but mentally she's not there yet. It takes time to heal and it can't be pressured.
We got to see more of Jesse, Jade and Cason. Also of Catherine (their mother) and many more people. Every moment they came into the scene, I loved it! I understood each and every one of them.
The moments that involved James emotionally...I got those from personal point of view and I am nearly as blind when it comes to my father as Jade is. There were definitely some realisations about that part on my side, which I'm grateful for!
I would love to hear more about Jade and Cason. I'd love to see whoever would charm Jade enough for her to be interested or for Cason to be finally happy in his life, he deserves it after all!

After the epic ending of the previous book, I was eagerly awaiting this one, but also scared at the same time.
While I can't say whether my feelings were justified (because not wanting to spoil), I CAN say that the wait was definitely worth it.
Yet again I was transfixed from the first page till the last. It felt like I blinked and it was over, and that's from quality not length.
I actually don't want to say much more as if I do I'll say more than I should, and both characters and plot have plenty of surprises up their sleeves. For a bunch of teenagers the world certainly hasn't gone easy on them...
Will they finally catch a break? Will they all come out the otherside together and in one piece?
I highly recommend that you one click immediately to find out.

This is book three of the “Cherry Creek” series and can not be read as a stand alone. I do have my fingers crossed that Cason’s book is next!!

This book continues right where book two left off. My nerves were all over the place and my heart was aching from page one. If you read my review of the other books you will know I am a huge Fallon fan. I love Jesse as well. So this story is when they try to repair from the worst, from their rock bottom. This book shows their actual age I feel. They do have a lot more on their plate then average kids their age but their coping mechanisms are not matured.
I love the entire book of characters and some even redeemed theirselves. Cason is always a fave of mine. But a few others peeked my interest, including Jade. The author does an incredible job of creating this tight group.
I think my only critique is it just didn’t flow as well as the other two books and kind of rushed to an ending. With that said this book gave us answers and brought us back to a happily ever after.
I am obsessed with this town and can not wait for the next book!!

After how book two finished, I was excited to get this one. While I really enjoyed this one, I found it didn’t have the omfph of the first two. It was still a great read and a great conclusion to the series though. My heart ached for Fallon as she tries to navigate everything after the accident. Jesse just wants to be there for her and help her. But there are always those twists and turns that play a major factor into the story that will keep you on your toes. It can be intense and raw and so much more. I am curious to see how the rest of the family will play out if they get their own stories!

If you think this series couldn’t pack any more punches, you are absolutely wrong!
When Shadows Fall starts just after Fallon has been in a horrific wreck, having been held hostage (in a manor) by Marcus. Readers of book two are chomping at the bit to know what happened.
Fallon has a long way to go in her healing journey. Having been the recipient of numerous beatings by Marcus and then the accident, we are lucky she is alive. She has so much healing to do, not just her physical injuries but also her mental issues with dealing having been held captive, her abuse, and her past. This girl is under pressure.
Adding to all of that Jesse had tangled with his father and had made promises that James intends to collect on. He isn’t making this easy on Jesse and Jade and Cason are seeing how Jesse’s worry about Fallon and trying to fool his father is taking a toll on him.
The action in this book was non-stop. Pages flew by and the twists and turns just keep coming! When Shadows Fall is very emotional and there were several times when I had to put it down and walk away for a bit, these characters all are young adults and they are dealing with issues that not many 18 year olds have to deal with, they handle things as best they can, but eventually there is a breaking point and readers can tell that things are going to bet much worse before they get better.
This series definitely needs to be read in order, it would hard to figure out where each of these young adults came from (backgrounds) and where they will end up.

When Shadows Fall is the third book in the Cherry Creek series by Callie Rae, and you do need to read the first two books before this one. Even though I'd read the other books, it had been awhile, and I had a little trouble remembering some of the plot details going on here. It finally starting coming back to me though, and then threw me a bunch of new loops.
This book continues Fallon's story as she is recovering from her trauma. Jesse wants to be her protector, to "fix" her, but he feels like he just continues to fail her. With so many secrets and lies standing in their way, Fallon and Jesse have a rough road to find their HEA.
There are plenty of new twists added to this series in the third installment, and still more angst and suspense. Fallon's story is heartbreaking, but she truly is such a strong character even when she doesn't believe it. I loved watching her friendships with Jade, and especially Cason, continue to grow in this book, and I do hope that Cason will be getting his own book next.
Although these characters are in high school, they are so mature and have had to grow up fast due to their families. So, even if high school romance is not your thing, I encourage you to give this suspenseful series a try.

Heartbreaking. Painful. Emotional. Perfect.
When Shadows Fall is the final book in Fallon and Jesse's story. Callie Rae delivers this amazingly perfect ending for them. From the very first line Rae took a piece of my heart and shattered it. The pain and heartbreak these characters feel I felt like I could feel it in my soul. From When Shadows Follow Callie Rae just created these amazing characters that I loved. This trilogy would have had a completely different effect on me had I not grown to love these characters.
Callie Rae's writing just sucks you right in. From the first line on the first page to the last word on the last page I didn't want to stop reading this book. This book was just filled with everything but not in a over the top, why would you add this kind of way. Everything followed and made sense. Things weren't added just to add. Side characters weren't added just to add. She had a purpose for everything. And while I'm 99% sure it was to break us, it was still perfect.
While this is the end of Fallon and Jesse's story it is not the end of the Callaways. Rae left the perfect opening for future books without taking anything away from Fallon and Jesse's story.
If you haven't read this trilogy, you need to. If you were waiting to read this book. Don't. This trilogy has made me a fan for life of Callie Rae!

This was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride that consumed me and filled me with heartache and pain for some very relatable and amazing characters. Right from the very first page, we are thrust back into the story where the last book left off and let me tell you that it will gut you, fill you with heartache, anguish and pain reading what Fallon goes through. She is broken and needs time to heal and to come to terms with what she has gone through. Jesse has a tough road ahead of him to try to help Fallon and to show her that she is loved and perfect even with her imperfections.
This story is filled with suspense, secrets, action, drama, angst and utter heartache. It will have you crying, laughing and aching for everything to work out just right.
I loved how this story just sucked me in and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and I can’t wait to read what comes next.

This book picks up right where When Shadows Fracture left off. When Shadows Fall is the third book in the Cherry Creek series. This series follows Fallon, who moves to the small town of Cherry Creek and finds friendship with Jade and Cason, and can’t seem to stay away from Jesse.
This series is one wild ride! There are a lot of moving parts, a lot of edge of your seat and emotional roller coaster rides. I am happy we got the ending for Jesse & Fallon. My heart broke for Fallon in this book. She has a lot of inner struggles that she is dealing with after the accident in When Shadows Fracture. But also for Jesse trying to pull her from those warring thoughts. There is so much going on with these characters in this book, and I love how this ending played out. We got a little sneak peek about Cason possibly having his own book, and I am super curious about that now!

Wow oh wow oh wow!! What a book!!! I’m so wrapped up in this family and all I could think of was when I could get my hands on the next book!!! I’m such a fan and I love this authors incredible writing and ability to suck me into her story!!
Jesse, this poor man has been through hell and I can’t imagine the sacrifices he’s had to make to keep his family safe. I can feel his pain and sadness throughout this book and it makes you intoxicated with rage.
Fallon, I didn’t know strength like this woman could be so potent. I know I would’ve broken quickly and not recovered. Fallon gives me goosebumps just thinking about how much she truly has overcome and done the impossible. But not all her moments were what I thought they would be…
I am so in love with this family! Except for the obvious! I really really can’t wait to see if and when we will see more from Cason and Jade!! So much more story there and I love it!! When shadows fall by @callieraeauthor is book 3 in the cherry creek series and man did Callie bring it hard !!!!! This crew has been put through it big time each one having to deal with crazy life altering situations and book 3 is no different!! Right off the bat you are hit with all the feels with some twist and turns you didn’t see coming !Fallon,jesse, cason & jade are all going to take you on a ride full of heartbreak, depression, trust issues, secrets being exposed, fights, self reflection, healing and love!we love You get so much from each character !!The bond they all share is so amazing & to see how they come together even in the worst of times shows just how perfect this group is ! Callie has created a world we are addicted to and will never get enough of 🙌🏻🙌🏻 in true Callie fashion the ending will leave you happy for some and gasping for others ! If you have not read this series go do it now !!!!

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series and this series needs to be read in order. Jesse and Fallon’s journey continues and when their lives are shattered, Jesse sacrifices so much to protect and keep his family safe, while Fallon is strong and a true survivor. Fallon is recovering from her traumatic ordeal, and my heart went out to Jesse, as he just wants to protect her, and their journey is a tough one with many challenges to overcome. This is a well written story with an intricate and in-depth plot, and is emotionally charged, heartwrenching, and with secrets, twists, danger, suspense, healing, angst, turmoil, lies, family, friendships, and love, which all leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I was totally enthralled throughout this brilliant story, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend.

I've been begging Callie Rae for this book. I kept telling her "give it to me now!". There's a very good reason for that. You see, I just knew it was going to be amazing and I was not wrong.
We were left hanging after book 2.
We all needed answers. She sure did deliver!
She managed to wrap this trilogy up with a bang and a pretty bow to top it all off. If you weren't obsessed with Jesse and Fallon before, well you will be after this. The family unit the Callaway's created is one we should all strive for. Family doesn't have to mean blood. Brothers don't have to be the typical siblings. When you love each other and promise to protect each other at all costs, that's the true definition of a family. I loved the close unit Jesse, Fallon, Jade and Carson had. I for one would not say not to more from this family.

When Shadows Fall follows on from When Shadows Fracture. It’s the third book in this captivating series. So if you haven’t read the two previous books don’t dive into this one yet. Go read those two first!
I had mixed feelings going into this book. I was excited and nervous at the same time. It still didn’t stop me jumping headlong into this story. Now I can’t say too much without spoiling, but I will say I really enjoyed this book. It pulled at the heartstrings and was emotional. But I was rooting for all these characters to finally find some happiness. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for them for all they’ve been through.

I didn't know who to feel for more in this story, Fallon trying to reclaim herself. Jesse not knowing what move to make, but having to continue anyways. Cason trying to hold everyone together, while trying not to break down himself. And Jade, always in the back row. Trying to prove herself in everyone's eyes.
I'm so glad that even in the end, everything with their father is finally over.
Now I just hope Cason can finally get his life back into place, where it should have been all along....

From the first page I was captivated. This was an incredible journey reading this series and it ended perfectly with this book.
I love the drama, the depth of emotion it brings out, the intensity, the darkness, all the highs and lows, it’s an incredible plot put together and set at a great pace that’s easy to follow. The characters are well written and developed. The chemistry was undeniable and made the reading experience more authentic.
This was a dark and mysterious world with so much emotion I didn’t want this to end. It’s always a great book when it effects you emotionally and this is definitely one of them. Amazing read, one I won’t forget anytime soon.
I love the drama, the depth of emotion it brings out, the intensity, the darkness, all the highs and lows, it’s an incredible plot put together and set at a great pace that’s easy to follow. Oh, damn! That ending...
This book... it feels like I have waited a lifetime for it, but it was so worth it.
Full of suspense, heartache, steam, and love, it'll tug on your heartstrings and leave your mouth gaping.
Fallon and Jesse don't have an easy journey. But, this book leaves them in a HFN place.
To say the ending surprised me would be an understatement. I have so many questions left unanswered and I want more from this world so badly!
It's safe to say that Callie has gained a new reader because of this series.
I love it, so hard.

Fallon has been my girl from the beginning. Her strength, drive, and spirit .awesome her one of the toughest females I have read in a while. Jesse's love, adoration, and willingness to do whatever he can to protect Fallon is commendable.
Callie warned her readers that this book would not be easy, and the fight for a happy ending was going to be brutal. She was not wrong, and it was worth every nerve racking turn of the page. As always Callie seems to have another trick up her sleeve that will once again have me checking out her reader page for whatever I can find!

Ahhh I have been blessed with the ending Callie Rae has given me. 'When Shadows Fall' brings the end to Jesse and Fallon's story, and a smile to my face. The emotional rollercoaster was worth the closure. As secrets are revealed. Family bonds get torn and re-bound stronger than ever. The Callaway's story will forever stuck with me. The strength and love each character has for one another is absolutely wholesome. I could not have asked for a better ending. 5/5 stars for the book and the overall series.

When Shadows Fall is the third book in a series that must be read in order.
We pick up the story where we left Fallon in extreme danger and that heart pounding cliffhanger. This series has been fast paced full of secrets and one that I could never guess what was going to happen next. After the events of book two Fallon is struggling both mentally and physically. We see a conflicted Jesse trying to do the right thing and keep those he loves safe. It was hard not to be affected by the emotional turmoil the charcters feel but I also liked how all the threads of the story came together to give a very satisfying conclusion.

What a ride.
I loved this trilogy. The character development is spot on. You will love Jesse and Fallon, but what I liked so much about this series was the side characters, they are perfect and I want to know more of their stories as much as I wanted to know the main characters. This book deals with a lot and the antagonists well they are horrible but in the best way. It did not seem pushed, the story flowed well and I could see it all played out in my head.

Love his series
I absolutely loved this series. Once you start reading you get hooked and don’t want to stop until it’s over. I am hoping I will find the story continues with stories for Jade, Cason, and maybe even Jax!
My one issue was I found myself having to reread a sentence here and there to try to figure out what it was trying to say due to the sentence missing a needed word to complete the sentence. This happened in all three books.

Conclusion
The anticipation for this book was real with how the author ended the previous, When Shadows Fracture. Emotions were at an all-time high throughout the entire story and I felt every single word that was written on the pages. I absolutely loved the pieces of information that were finally uncovered in this conclusion of Jessie and Fallons story.

Great conclusion
“Like her life, my life, meant nothing to this world. Our fight, just a tiny blip on a cosmic radar. I couldn’t stand it.”
We all hung in there for the conclusion to Fallon and Jesse’s story, and it was worth the wait.
I think out of all of them, I felt for Cason the most. Would love to hear from him next.

Wow what a ride
Absolutely loved this series , great characters gripping story and Jesse and Cason they are just to die for !!!
Loved the way we saw from both lead characters pov too, its great to be in the guys head and let's face it there was a lot going on in Jesse's

It felt like I waited forever for the third instalment in the Cherry Creek series “When Shadows Fall”. Callie teased us for months with teasers, quotes and other things that boosted the excitement and the antipcation for its release; and it was worth every torturous minute. Fallon is my fave, and to read how emotionally desolate she was in WSH fall broke my heart. There was tears and laughter (from me 😬), fierce loyalty and protectiveness (from the Cherry Creek crew) and just the most well written, emotionally charged, beautiful story. Hou did it Cal😝 now get to it, that ending was enough to start the never ending torture you love to dish out again!

Omg this book is heart wrenching. Fallon is not the same girl, she is broken, empty and grieving. Everyone else is hurting cause they can't get through to her. An emotional read. Would have really liked to see Cason get his happy ending. Definitely recommend this series

This series hooked me and kept me enthralled all the way thru. Fallon is a badass who still struggles with the tuff stuff. Loved every second of this book. What a way to end it. But tbh I'd love to read Carson's story and hopefully Jade's.
