Abby
Since I left Curver to pursue my major, I've been unhappy.
My parents pushed me into this degree. Truth is, they've pushed me into everything I've ever done.
So, when the opportunity arises to spend a summer at the Love sisters’ retreat in Curver, I take it.
Living and working at the retreat, I doubt my parents will ever see me.
But when there's a mix-up with the housing, I'm forced to return home and face the music.
Mom and dad aren't happy. But when they have ever been happy with a single decision I've made?
Fortunately, the new Coast Guard offers me a place to stay.
I just hope that it doesn't come with strings attached.

Nathan
I joined the U.S. Coast Guard to get away from home.
Problem is, now nowhere feels like home to me.
Moving from station to station, I'm searching for a place to finally call my own.
That's when I'm seconded to Curver Mountain.
I make no secret of the fact that I don't want to be here.
But when I pull that curvy minx, Abby, out of the lake, something changes inside of me.
This girl is my home.
Rebelling against her parents, she's feisty, free-spirited, and curvy in all the right places.
And better yet, she knows what she wants out of life.
I just need to make sure I'm a part of that picture.

Welcome back to Curver Mountain, where instalove and happily-ever-afters are made. If you're looking for curvy girl romance and small-town romance short reads, then look no further!

Nathan is Book One in the Curver Mountain Coast Guards series. They're steamy, but safe. And of course, there's absolutely no cheating and no cliffhangers here. Nothing but heartwarming happily-ever-afters to perk you up and get you believing in insta-love. If you're looking for a short read to fill a spare hour or so, then look no further!

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Abby is trying to escape her life for one summer, needing to follow her dreams before her father decides what she is doing next. Returning to the town of Curver feels like a dream but it’s a lace that feels like home do after blowing off the internship her dad arranged for her, she’s laying low after scoring a job at the summer retreat. Everything is going to plan that is until she gets caught in a parachute attached to a speedboat and is dragged into the water. Thinking that her life is over she’s saved by Nathan, he’s the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen but surely a man who looks like him couldn’t honestly want her. But after he convinces her to go on a date she knows that they are meant to be but is this just a summer fling to him or is it more and if she follows her heart will her parents ever forgive her?

Nathan never expected when he joined the coast guard he would be working at a summer retreat with his best friends, it’s not exactly his dream gig. That changes when his eyes lock on to a curvy beauty in a summer retreat uniform, it’s then that he sees she is in danger and before he can do anything to stop what’s about to happen she’s dragged off the beach by her feet and disappears beneath the water. There is no time to waste and sets off to save her. From that moment on he knows that there is nothing that he wouldn’t do to make her happy, but will she still want him when the summer is over and will he have to let her go?

Abby and Nathan are perfect for each other, he shows her that her dreams are possible and he finds his home in the woman he ever saw coming. Really liked both characters and easily relatable to. My first book by this author and hope to read more in the future. 4 swimmingly *

The couple: Nathan and Abby

Romance genre: insta-love
Series: Curver Mountain Coast Guards
Length: 59 pages

Plot: Abby is in Curver for the summer as a camp counselor of sorts. She is also trying to get away from her overbearing parents. On her first day there, she almost drowns and is rescued by Coast Guard member Nathan, who fell in love the minute he saw her. But she has baggage and needs to unburden some of it before they can go any further.

Commentary: The story was okay - I think the epilogue was the best part. I liked seeing her as a successful artist. But there were things that I wasn't really sure about - Nathan made it sound like you could just quit the Coast Guard (it's not a regular job, it's the military), and then her dad just handed the business over to him? And could that really happen that a resort calls up the Coast Guard and say "can you send us some of your people to patrol the lake during summer camp?" And they were just going to assign Abby to parasailing without any training? And Abby made it sound like she was extra-protected as though she had a condition or disease, but nothing ever came of that line of thinking. So I'm not sure where to go with all that.

Next book in the series: Aaron: An Age Gap Curvy Girl Romance

Parents only want the best for their children, and sometime they are so blind to what should be that they don't understand what could be. Abby as ditched her summer intern and returned home, hoping her parent won't find out so soon. Nathan joined the U.S. Coast Guard to avoid his parent's pressure, but to find what he want to do.

This is a well written story, two characters from different background, but dealing with the same pressures from their family. I love how Nathan holds his ground with her parents, in a respectful way. This is a great beginning to a new series that will let you escape for a bit.

Not really for me

Nathan is the first book in the Curver Mountain Coast Guards series. This one will have your head flying so fast that you will get dizzy. I have read a couple books by Kate Weiss but this one just did not make any sense to me, as there are a number of story details were so wrong right from the start so I was rolling my eyes and laughing. I also could not get into the characters and did not feel that they had any connection. He went from saving her life to way overly sexual that it sort of creeped me, and I read a lot of insta-love/lust books. So for me this book did not work but I know for others they will love the story and characters, and all the more power to those readers.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Nathan is the first book in the ‘’Curver mountain coast guard’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Abby ditches her internship to return home and be a summer consoler. Will she find love. Nathan hasn’t got time for love but when he sees Abby, he wants her.
The chemistry between Nathan and Abby is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

✋️ Let us stop for a minute and just thank this author for this hot, amazing book.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Because I want to.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 stars
🌶🌶🌶

This book has been added to my list of favorites.

The author jumped straight into the action with this one. Too many times I feel like I read a short book and barely get time with the main characters because the author prolonged their meeting.

Bonus points for our Hero being part of the Coast Guard and rescuing her. Even more bonus points for him putting his hand around her throat to get his point across 🥵 and also standing up to her parents so she didn't have to.

This book ... I wanted so much more. ❤ I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters.

A super sweet summer romance that will leave you smiling. Abby ditched her summer internship without her father knowing to return to her hometown of Curve to be a camp counselor. She was somewhat of a day dreamer, so first thing she has to be saved by the U.S. Coast Guard lifeguards. One of them instantly falls for Abby and cannot keep his eyes off her. He was there to help her and support her at every turn. A book you will not want to miss.

This new series focuses on a group of Coast Guard members and is set in Kate’s world of Curver. Nathan meets a local girl, Abby, and is instantly drawn to her. Abby is an artist but is going to school for business to make her dad happy. Nathan is searching for a place to call home. These two together are sweet, funny, and steamy. Their story is fun to read and you will definitely love this couple!

Pretty good little instalove romance. I did think that the author did a better job developing Abby than Nathan, hence the lower rating. But it was sweet, steamy and all tied up in a nice bow during the epilogues. Good for a quick read and available on Kindle Unlimited. I'd read another book by the author.

false advertising

He’s not an alpha male. The spice scenes are take at best. The entire relationship is over two days. Epilogue into three months the. Two years. It’s basically telling an entire story with cliffs notes. You can read this in an hour.
