#1 Meet Me in London - ★★★★★
#2 Meet Me in Hawaii - ★★★★

Meet Me in Hawaii was a lovely romance, and I managed to read it in two days. It's very fast paced and captures your attention straight away. I remember Meet Me in London giving me Christmas vibes, and Meet Me in Hawaii managed to do the same with the summer destination. The coctails, beaches and surfing brought a great atmosphere, and during the pandemic, I actually really needed a little bit of that.

I really liked Malie as a character, especially her story, and how she bravely tries to be happy and get rid of all the guild she feels. And I also liked Todd, with his own traumatic childhood and his broken relationship with his father. I loved how these two characters managed to find themselves and click so fast. I loved their beginning scenes, and they gave me many butterflies.

However, then Malie makes some poor decisions, and I didn't enjoy them. I am not a fan when a character decides to stop a potential relationship from happening because they are scared of being hurt. They could both feel the tension, and they both at some point tried to resist it, and then Malie properly rejected him and I was just agitated. But that's just because I'm very picky with my romance tropes. It's a "it's not you, it's me" situation. But apart from this, I really enjoyed the whole book.

I especially enjoyed the children and their interaction with Malie as a surfing teacher. Tara's story was very moving and to be fair, I would have loved to read more about Jonny and Sky. I felt like there was an opportunity to explore this, and things were left unsaid. The competition in the end was quite interesting as well, and I loved the ending.

Even though it's mainly a romance story, Meet Me in Hawaii is so much more than that!

It's also a story about grief and guilt, and moving forward. A story about true friendships, one of those strong ones, that are quite rare to encounter these days. It's a story about relationships, not just between partners, but between friends and parents too. But most importantly, about the freedom to be able to do what makes us happy in our lives.

How I wish I could get on a plane and transport myself to Hawaii, it is so wonderfully described that I felt as though I was there alongside Malie.

And Malie's initial meet cute with Todd is really dramatic, and set it up to show what a powerful heroine we have. She is one amazing surfer, and her patience teaching the disadvantaged children that are staying for a few weeks, is impressive. Especially the way she bonds with Tara.

In fact it was at the point Malie is drawing Tara out of herself for the first time, with the help of Nalu, that had me completely and utterly hooked into this book and realising it was far more impressive than the first book in this series.

Starting a week after Meet Me In London ends, the focus is on Malie this time although we still get to see a fair bit of the other friends, and I felt instantly at home in this book.

And Todd.. let's just say swoon, and once Malie has finished deciding if she can risk her heart on him, can I have a go! Would love me a Todd! As leading men go, he is definitely one of my favourite for a long while and there is so much more to him than maybe meets the eye initially.

I have to say I'm now hooked on this series, these characters and really can't wait for September and the next release. Definitely fabulous escapist fiction and perfect for some exotic armchair travel this summer.

I liked Meet Me in London better but it does not mean Meet Me in Hawaii was a disappointment. It was not the quickest read, in the middle it did start to drag but started well and ended strong. The end made me go up the star from around a 2.5. Just on the lead characters it deserves a three. Malie and Todd were deserving lead female and male in the story. Malie is strong headed, I love it about her but at the same time want her to let Todd in. Todd was entertaining from the first point of nearly drowning. How he takes to the relationship with Malie and her closest girl friends makes him even more the hero of every hour. A story not to be taken too seriously and overall enjoyable.

i liked the beginning and ending. i would be lying if i said i loved this book, but i didnt dislike it either!
i think this book would be perfect for summer, so thinking of rereading it then.
the only things i didnt like about it was that it was predictable, the main character (malie) was the most annoying person EVER in the whole book, and that it seemed to drag a lot.
it seemed the plot kept going back and forwards and so was kind of hard to keep my attention on it for a while, but great for a quick read!
i did love it being based in hawaii though, as someone who was born originally in a country known for its islands and sea, i loved the summer-feeling of this book! hawaii is definitely a country on my travel list when im older.

I WILL RE READ THIS BOOK IN THE SUMMER

I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to reading Toffs second book. I loved #MeetMeInLondon so I had high hopes and I wasn't disappointed - easily another five star read, I loved it!

Telling the story of Malie, friend of Victoria from the first book and taking place under the glorious sunshine of Hawaii, where you are instantly transported by the descriptions of sunny beaches, waves and by Malie's passion for surfing - MMIH is a fun, feel good and slightly more flirty read.

I loved that it launched straight into Malie and Todd's relationship, leaving us to learn more about them as they got to know each other. Both are such likeable characters and their chemistry could be felt on every page through their playful behaviour - the attraction and how well they got on was so apparent which made Malie's hesitations all the more frustrating! But I thoroughly enjoyed how their story played out, romance is never plain sailing right?!

I'd describe it as a whirlwind romance, it certainly felt like love at first sight! But there was more to this love story, with it also exploring how our pasts can shape us. I enjoyed how the characters developed. Once again my inner romantic couldn't help but get swept away by it all! These books have been an absolute joy to read, I can't wait to read the next two books!

The second book in the Meet Me series, we follow Malie who is a surfer in Hawaii. Malie loves her job, and her life but often misses her family back in Devon who are still grieving the loss of her brother Koa from cancer years before which has put a strain on Malie's relationship with her parents. When Malie helps out a youth charity, she meets businessman Todd Masters whom she has an immediate connection with, and also suffers from family losses and strain. Can the two of them help heal each other and show that falling in love isn't as scary as they think?

This book had a beautiful setting, a gorgeous cover but I have to say I was so let down by it as I felt I didn't really care that much about what was going on, and the overall premise and pace of the story was so, so boring. One of my favourite things about Meet Me in London was the friendship group between Victoria, Malie, Lils and Zoe (also absolute LOL that for some reason Lils just isn't getting her own book?) and while this is still a thing in this book, I don't think it came across as strongly as the first one. I did like seeing little glimpses of Victoria and Oliver from Meet Me in London and how they are getting on.

I did believe the connection and chemistry between Malie and Todd in this book - there was definitely a sizzling and a sexual chemistry between them from the first scene when Malie pulled a Little Mermaid and saved Todd from drowning. The problem was the constant back and forth going on with Malie, and it got to a point where it was frustrating and boring to read about again. She was the definition of the kombucha girl meme when it came to Todd - no, yes, no, but actually maybe yes? I understood the two characters had a lot going on with family grief, trauma and strain and fear of becoming attached in case you lose that connection but with Malie, she was so all over the place, it was ridiculous and the girl just really needed to talk to a professional.

A few side notes of things that kind of irritated me too - Todd is a very wealthy businessman who started from the ground up having grown up in foster homes with an alcoholic father. He's only 33 yet we never find out what exactly he does for a business and considering he's a millionaire more or less, I would have liked to know. Also every time Malie and Todd kiss or do anything steamy, the author kept describing her as 'whimpering' or 'she whimpered' and it just creeped me out.

This book was so cute! I loved the setting and the characters were great. I loved her friendship with her group from home and their regular chats and video calls. It was so nice to see friendship take a key role in this book!
The plot line was sweet and I loved seeing Malie help children learn to surf and grow with confidence in their own abilities. Todd was lovely and I really liked the aim of his charity work.
Sometimes the communication issues between the two of them annoyed me a little but nothing major! The ending was lovely and it was a good book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Mills & Boon for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I picked up this book, hoping that a nice quick summer romance would get me out of a current reading slump. However, it did nothing but make it worse.

As a romance, I expected a level of cringe, but it felt as though every couple of sentences of speech between Malie and Todd were broken up by a lengthy paragraph about how they each find the other attractive and desperately want to kiss or touch each other. These excessive descriptions slow the pace of the book down massively, with very little plot throughout the whole book. The ending was obvious from the first chapter and felt extremely rushed relative to the painstakingly slow rest of the book.

I also didn’t find Malie particularly likeable. I felt like the ‘I have a traumatic past so don’t deserve love’ theme was explored in quite a shallow way and so I really couldn’t connect with her or empathise with the way she treated Todd. Overall, I enjoyed the description of the beaches and surfing aspect but the rest was disappointing.

This is the second book in the ‘meet me’ series, the first one being ‘Meet me in London’ which I read over Christmas and loved. This series focuses on four women, and the strong friendship between them, each book following one woman in particular. I adore these characters and their bond with each other, in particular their ‘lost hours’ phone call rule. It reminds me of my own five best friends who I know would be there for me no matter what 💕

This one picks up the storyline where Meet me in London left off, only this time instead of Victoria in snowy London, there is a change in climate and we follow Malie, who lives in Hawaii and works at a surfing school.

I adored this, it was such an easy read feel good romance, and the setting is perfect for summery days and leaves you craving a beach holiday!

This was beautifully written, and I loved the character development and how Malie progressed by the end. The whirlwind romance was perfect, and I loved the relationship between Malie and Todd, from the dramatic way they meet to the way they both have to fight the demons in their past before they can move on.

I’m moving on to the third in the series now and can’t wait to keep following this storyline and see what happens next!

A lovely nice easy holiday read.
I am very much craving a beach holiday now.
Yes rom com/chick lit is predictable but that’s what I like. You know who will end up with who but it’s the journey to get there.
Now time for a trip to the beach 🏖 and a cocktail 🍹

I really enjoyed Meet me in London so I knew I would like this too, I was not disappointed.

Here we are in sunny Hawaii and boy did I feel as if I was there on those sunny warm beaches with the wind blowing my hair.

We focus on Malie who is one of Victoria's friends from the first book London.
Malie is a surfer and working at a surf school when she meets Todd.

The two form a bond who are both running away and scared of their past.

A lovely little read about friendships, love and moving on.

I really enjoyed this one and hope for more in the series with friends Zoe and Lily.

Firstly thank you so much to Netgalley and Mills&boon for this arc!
I chose this both because who doesn't love a summer romance?! and because I was excited to read something that Toff had written, the cover also drew me in.
I'm so glad I picked this one, one of my favourite books I have read this year!!
Although it is quite lighthearted and fun, the background of the two main characters isn't that way at all, which brought in an extra dynamic to the story, which made it all the more riveting to read!
I was fascinated by the characters - how they were introduced, how they developed. And of course I loved the ending of this book.
This is something that I would definitely read again, and I recommend this book to anyone, no matter what genre you normally read!
Will definitely be reading whatever Toff writes next!

Meet me in Hawaii is the second book in the ‘Meet Me’ series. It is a very sweet and feel good romance set against the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii. Malie, a surf instructor meets the attractive millionaire, Todd, who has come over to Hawaii with his charity to use the surfing recuperation programme with a group of disadvantaged children. Malie rescues him quite by accident when he gets caught in a riptide and this forms the beginning of their relationship and lays the foundations for the rest of the story.

Although some of the characters in the first book are introduced again, Meet Me in Hawaii works well as a standalone and there is sufficient background history covered to get a feel of the previous book. The characters are likeable and fun and there wasn’t one I disliked. I particularly enjoyed the bond Malie had with her close friends and the fact this bond had deepened after their shocking car accident in their youth. This is a lovely supportive friendship group and I adored their ‘Lost Hours’ emergency video calls.

There is not an awful lot in the way of content to really get your teeth into. The story has a lot of dialogue and very little in the way of rich description. I would have loved to have seen a lot more descriptions of the setting, the visits to the Dole Plantation and the North Shore could have been explored in much more detail adding extra depth to the story. Descriptions of the local cuisine always go down well with me in books and this again was skimmed over but could have added another layer of interest. I did enjoy learning about surfing though and learnt quite a lot!

The romance was very quick, they fell in love almost instantly but subsequently there was too much indecision and dallying around to get to where they actually needed to be. Malie being unable to commit to the relationship because she felt she didn’t deserve happiness due to some tragic events in her past. She led Todd on a merry dance on more than one occasion and despite being rejected several times I was astounded by how forgiving and patient Todd was. However, there are some lovely moments and set against the dreamy background of Hawaii this book certainly gives you lots of feel good emotions.

Meet Me in Hawaii is an enjoyable and entertaining read. The writing wasn’t the best I’ve ever read, and I did wince a little bit at some of the dialogue, but the book is exactly what it’s meant to be, a light and fun romance which is easy and quick to read. The perfect beach read in a wonderful setting.

Thank you so much to the publisher, via Netgalley, for my advance copy to review.

Cute easy beach style read about a woman learning to forgive herself for tragedies not of her making and a man who grew to be a great philanthropist from the depths of poverty but cannot let go of his past. Both have deep seated issues with love and its potential to hurt you. Its a bit on the instalove style for my tastes but still a fun read. Probably helped that I read this in a day while on vacation in the sun.
Malie is a good character who is pretty easy to root for. She wants to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those in need and is doing so while working as a surf instructor for her godfather's surf school in Hawaii. The book starts just before some youths deserving of some happiness and maybe another start arrive for their surf lessons. Everything with the kids was pretty darn sweet. But back to Malie, she is good at helping others but has trouble helping herself. She has some major survivor's guilt she has never worked her way through. During this story, she realizes how damaging that can be and that if she wants to help others live their best lives maybe she should do the same.
Todd grew up in poverty, in and out of foster homes. He managed to work hard and become rich and now gives back to disadvantaged youth of all kinds. He has a lot of trauma to still work through himself and has always hidden himself away from any kind of long term connection of any kind with another human for fear of them leaving.
They have a great connection from the start but have so many trust issues there's a lot of pushing one another away. Some of this was alright, other parts got kind of old. Overall its a pretty predictable romance book but enjoyable.
Again, a cute book. I havent read the others in the series, dont know if I will, but it is a perfect kind of book for lazing outside in the sun.

Malie's story, set in sunny Hawaii, is the second book in the Meet Me series. It's easy to imagine the setting from the vivid description and sensory imagery. Malie's life seems idyllic, and on a superficial level, it is, but deep down, Malie is suffering from grief and guilt and needs space away from her devastated parents to survive. Todd is outwardly successful with a caring heart, but his difficult early life means personal relationships are problematic and best avoided.

A growing friendship with chemistry and humour draws the couple closer to love, but their internal conflicts are many and make trust difficult for them both. Contemporary issues highlighted knowledgeably and positively makes this more than a conflicted and glamorous romance.

The enduring and strong friendship group surrounding Malie keeps her grounded and moving forward, knowing they want her happiness. This book moves on convincingly from the first story set in London and anticipates the next Meet Me book.

This is an engaging, romantic story with a contemporary focus and a perfect, escapist setting.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is a brilliant book for the escapism we need right now and who doesn't want to read about the gorgeously exotic Hawaii? Being there would be even better!

I was really looking forward to reading Toff's second book having read #MeetMeInLondon earlier this month. My high expectations were met and I was disappointed at all.

Malie, friend of Victoria from the first book, is working at a surf school. Content with what she's got but doesn't feel she deserves happiness, she came to Hawaii for a fresh start.

Unknowingly saving Todd, the handsome and rich CEO for the charity working with her surf school, passion is ignited and we follow their "will they / won't they" story.

Reading their alternating perspectives, I loved how the book dived in to meeting the pair and their relationship, leaving us to learn more about each character from their chapters. Both are likeable characters with real traits and flaws, they both have troubled pasts and their instant attraction had me hooked.

Definitely a whirlwind romance for those who have a romantic heart, but also so much more. I can't wait to read Zoe and Lils stories in the next two books - sign me up!

Meet me in Hawaii

Eek! This book was fantastic. I loved how it followed on from Meet me in London and had updates from the girls friendship group.

Malie was such a great main character I loved how funny, straight to the point and how helpful she is. Going through her life story and starting to open up about it was lovely. Todd was a fantastic character and one of the best main male characters I've read about. I loved how genuine, friendly and helpful he was.

A fantastic read I simply loves it

The epitome of gushy romance novel, all the feels of a chance meeting with a beautiful man Malie is all swoon and Tom the big boss of a charity is equally as bowled over by Malie.
The perfect summer read for romance and ANTICIPATION. Toffolo brings the surfing beaches of Hawaii in a romance story with all the cheese needed to get you wondering and eager with anticipation.

I loved the first book in the series Meet Me in London and I was eager to see which friend we would be meeting in book two. I was delighted it was Malie and it was lovely to spend time with her and get to know a little about her fictitious life. What I love about the plots of these books is that they are so much more than just your run of the mill romance books. They have side plots that are really important. In the case of Meet me in Hawaii, we meet a group of kids that have had a tough time in life and a charity has brought them to Hawaii to get away and perhaps bring them out of their selves. Malie is perfect and patient as their surfer teacher. Having been through tragedy in her own life she can relate to them in a way many others would not be able to.

Then there is the romance element of the book, I love that it is relatable and honest. The characters are well written and likeable. It is definitely a fast page-turner and I absolutely love that characters from the first book appear in Meet me in Hawaii too.

You also get a small insight into what might be coming up in book three as we learn a lot more about some of the girls. This series is definitely for the readers like myself who do enjoy a little romance in their books but that also need more depth too.

So I encourage you to take a trip to Hawaii and fall in love with Mali and Todd.

A beautiful page-turner with ohana at its core.

Having read Meet Me In London a couple of months ago, I was delighted to find out, this featured one of the close friends of Victoria, the main character of the first book. Malia is a surf chick in Hawaii, running from heartbreak after losing her brother, which ripped her family apart. Todd is a successful business man, heading up a charity project to help kids, following his own tough childhood. A heart-warming story of learning to love and trust again, I thoroughly enjoyed this, and am hoping for the next two books to feature the remaining two friends Zoe and Lily!

If all romance books were written by Georgia Toffolo, it would be one of my favourite genres! I usually find it difficult to find romantic fiction believable, engaging or compelling, so I often find them largely disappointing.

But Toffolo's writing delivers on every level. Her characters are immensely likeable, the romance is cliche but still original, the characters have a believable and steamy chemistry, the story is fast-paced and well-developed, and the themes of friendship are very comforting.

I was a little disappointed at first to see that this second book focused on another character in the friendship group after loving Victoria and Oliver so much in book one, but this allowed us to catch up with them whilst putting the focus somewhere fresh. I didn't find Malie's story as interesting as Victoria's, but I definitely look forward to getting to know each female character more over the rest of the series.

Most of all, the setting in this book is absolutely beautiful and it was great to escape to Hawaii and relax by the waves while listening to this feel-good flirty romance.

I absolutely love listening to these audiobooks. It's great to hear Toff read her own narrative and it really brings out the personality in the characters.

Meet me in Hawaii follows on from Georgia Toffolo's first book Meet Me in London. This time focusing on Malie while she works at her uncle's surf school in Hawaii.

This book captures the feeling of Hawaii from the very start. The romance aspect starts soon afterwards. Malie comes across as a lovely person, despite her pain, and her rapport with the underprivileged kids that she teaches is evident.

You don't need to have read Meet me in London first as the background is covered, but I recommend that you do. I believe this book opens up a series and we will soon be reading about Lily and Zoe, the other two friends from the group.

I felt that unlike the first book, this is more what I'd expect from a modern day Mills and Boon. It's more romantic and swoon-worthy. It's a pleasant easy read that's worth a go if you're not looking for anything too taxing and want to escape to Hawaii.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Mills and Boon and Georgia Toffolo for giving me the e arc copy of this book to read.
This is the 2nd book in the series and Malie is the main character. She helps her godfather run a surf school on Hawaii. As part of their outreach programme, they take groups of children who have both mental and physical issues and use surfing as a way to help them. Todd runs a company that raises money for good causes as well as helps kids. He brings a group of children from the UK to Hawaii as a holiday but using surf lesson to aid them.
At the fundraising event he wins one to one surf lessons with Malie. There is a draw to each other that they both feel but try not to act on.
This story is one of hope not only for the children but for Malie and Todd. Malie and Todd both have events in their past that haunt them and maybe only by facing up to these events and dealing with their effects can they begin to move on. We see the growth of both characters; we are shown that the love of friends and family is important to help you with whatever you are going through.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next one.

I have been looking forward to this book since reading Meet Me In London and this absolutely did not disappoint. Gone are the snowy scenes of London and Christmas and we say hello to sun, sea and surf.

It is another beautifully written story focusing on Malie and her journey of guilt, loss and grief and also of Todd's past of the same emotions.

I didnt fly through this one as quickly as the first book and that was purely because I didnt want this to end. I had tears in my eyes at the end as Malie conquers her fears and I am already looking forward to the 3rd instalment of this amazing series.

This is the second book in the Meet me .... series and this book follows Malie who was introduced in the first book. The book follows her as she begins a new life in Hawaii teaching people how to surf. Although it is the second book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone as there is sufficient background history provided.
In my opinion this book was a little predictable and there wasn't a great deal of content to get into. However, it is a light and fun romance which is easy and quick to read.
Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for this read.

So this is the second instalment of the Cove friends and I was excited to see what happened with Malie in Hawaii. I loved Meet me in London so was so happy when NetGalley accepted my request.

The premise is really lovely, especially Todd and the Foundation. Todd is just something special! The beach and surfing made me really excited to go on holiday again one day.

I felt some of the descriptions became a bit repetitive and Malie a bit frustrating at times! But as the story went on I just became more engaged with the story. I personally preferred Meet me in London but still enjoyed this one.
