This is Tommy and Olivia’s story. These two are the friends of the characters in Take me in the night. Tommy is visiting Maddox, an old friend. When he arrives Olivia is there and she’s spiked his interest last time they met. When Olivia explains the troubles she’s been having both inside and outside the bedroom, Tommy can’t help wanting to protect her. He wants her to know what chemistry is all about and help her with her other problem.

What starts as a game turns into so much more.

This is a great addition to a sizzling series. Hot hot hot.

Oh Man, the two books in this series are steamy and hot AF!! Honestly I had never read anything from this author before but the cover caught my eye and I thought what the heck, let's give it a try. I am sooooo glad I did.

Tommy is a hunky ex-navy SEAL who is sweet and protective yet hot and dirty too. Olivia is smart and feisty but way too focused on her work. Her friend Addison from the first book thinks she knows just what Olivia needs to relax her and shake things up. Tommy who is a "BIG" guy and well versed in how to use his equipment is just what the doctor prescribed.

I really enjoyed and recommend this series. Turn on your AC or fan and enjoy!

I waited so long for this book and now that it's over I'm so sad. BUT I really enjoyed it!

I knew from Take Me in the Night, when Tommy and Olivia met that they were destined to be together. There is no way that two people could get on each other's nerves and there not be any sort of chemistry. I love it when a hate-hate relationship turns into love.

Olivia is a criminal crushing attorney and Tommy is a former Navy SEAL... A very handsome SEAL that Liv avoids at all costs. However, after another failed relationship Liv is kind of ready to get back on the horse again - if you catch my drift😉. Tommy on the other hand is looking for a new purpose after being honorably discharged due to a knee injury. I guess he just didn't see Liv being part of that new purpose.

Of course dodging death threats and exploring the bedroom with a handsome SEAL wasn't supposed to turn into love, but hey... What's an R. L Kenderson book without a HEA? Even if it takes the two most stubborn people a while to figure it out.

I can't believe I'm actually leaving a 3-star review for this book, because I usually LOVE everything these ladies write. But this one didn't quite hit the mark for me.

First, the positive aspects of this book. As I've come to expect from these ladies, the sex scenes were SMOKING hot and the chemistry between Olivia and Tommy was great. And I did love getting to see a little more of Maddox and Addison, the couple from the first book in this series, Take Me in the Night.

Now...the negative aspects. I get that this was an erotic romance and, as such, had a heavy focus on the sexual relationship between these characters. I don't have a problem with that, and I've very much enjoyed their other erotic romances (absolutely loved Wicked Chemistry, Take Me in the Night, Object of My Desire, and Five Dates Only). But this one felt like it was focusing on the sexual aspect so much that it ignored the other parts of the story, which made for a read that felt very two-dimensional compared to their other works.

Remember how I said minor spoilers at the top? Well, here's where to stop reading if you don't want them. The heroine is a lawyer who has someone harassing her for a client she's defending pro bono, and this aspect, to me, could have been elaborated on more and used to strengthen the relationship between the characters. Instead, it was just sort of there and seemed VERY hastily solved and explained at the end, and the solving of it, while possible, didn't feel probable. Also, there was another random brother and sister duo that harassed the hero. These two felt thrown into the story for no reason, and they just sort of disappeared and were never heard from again at around the 75% mark.

All in all, this was definitely my least favorite book I've read from this duo, but it's not going to stop me from reading the next book. I still love their books, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what's next!

Steamy and a little spicy with a touch of suspense.

Tommy aka Flash is a recent medically retired Navy SEAL who comes to town to visit his former teammate for a month as he settles back into civilian life. Olivia’s friend invites her to town for a week to enjoy some downtime after a big court case and having her most recent boyfriend break up with her via text message.

These two meet years prior with less than a positive first impression - he thought she was an uptight prude and he made a crude comment about her having boring orgasms and needing her pussy pounded. Their overlapping visit to Addison and Maddox was planned by Addison to see if this time they would maybe set of sparks for a vacation fling or more.

After Olivia arrives a little to early the first evening for a cookout at Addison and Maddox’s she gets an eye full of them getting busy in the living room and while she’s embarrassed by what she saw, she is also jealous she’s never had sex like that ever.

On the walk back to their temporary apartments, Tommy and Olivia find themselves actually getting along and later when Olivia gets an eye full of a very naked Tommy she decides to go knock on his door. They start a passionate affair and spend the week sleeping together and getting closer.

Is this just a vacation fling or can it turn into more. Tommy isn’t even sure where he wants to live now that he isn’t in the Navy. Tommy helps Olivia with figuring out who is sending her threatening letters about a client she defended.

The story is fast-paced, the characters are interesting and engaging. It’s clearly the second book in a series where the characters have some history, but I didn’t feel lost or like I was kissing anything even though I didn’t read the first book in this series.

So Olivia and Tommy got of on the wrong foot well Olivia thinks Tommy is kinda a jerk and a foul mouthed pig. Tommy thinks Olivia is way to uptight and needs a certain something he even volunteered that went over like a lead balloon. Olivia couldn't wait to get away and stay away from Tommy now her bestfriend Addison has begged her too visit and with all the threats and a recent case win she agrees too bad her friend wants to set her up with her husband's old Seal friend Tommy who just happens to be visiting as well.

Tommy can't wait to see his friend Maddox and now that his time in the Seal's is over hes at loose ends but coming to Iowa has brought some funny and unexpected chances he will get more then he bargained for. This time around Tommy and Olivia will heat up the night but what happens when the vacation is over not to mention that harassment Olivia is dealing with. I loved this there was plenty of steam it was great bringing Addison and Maddox back you have Olivia the Lawyer who has had some losers she dated and then you get very out spoken Tommy who says it like it is there perfect for each other now I want more about Tommy and Olivia this series needs one more I bet they had allot of kids lol.

This was book 2 in the “Take Me” series and I think I may have liked this one better. I enjoyed “Take Me in the Night,” it was an excellent second chance romance between high school sweethearts Maddox and Addison. However, this opposites attract romance between their friends Tommy and Olivia was wonderful. I think it helped to have both couples in this book, seeing where Maddox and Addison, or Maddison, are now. Plus Tommy’s character is hilarious!!

Tommy is a Navy buddy coming to visit for a month. Olivia is a lawyer friend who needs to get away from work after a breakup and burn out. Addison tries to play matchmaker by letting them stay in neighboring apartments. What leads to their first hook up is so funny and also super steamy. You just know these two are going to be good together.

On top of dealing with developing feelings, they also have to deal with threats that Olivia starts receiving about one of her cases. Tommy is determined to keep her safe and find out who’s threatening her. You will have to read their story to find out what happens. You will love it and while you’re at it, read book 1 too because they make a great duet.

Book #2 of R. L. Kenderson's Take Me series features Tommy and Olivia, each best friends of Maddox and Addison from book #1. In book #1 Tommy insults Olivia on her lack of sexual experience, without even knowing her. Olivia avoids Tommy at Maddox and Addison's wedding. She hasn't seen him since then. Years later after Maddox and Addison have a couple kids Tommy and Olivia are asked to take a vacation at their friends house not knowing the other will also be there.

Olivia find Tommy still to be annoying, but there is an attraction there too. The first night there she seduces Tommy and this begins Olivia's experience with great sex from a partner who knows what he is doing. After a week things have progressed but Olivia must return to her law practice.

Olivia ends up needing Tommy for protection and their sexual escapades continue. Is this their HEA? I recommend you read both books in this series. They are fun, sexy, steamy and yes educational.

“Take Me In The Dark (Take Me #2) was a fast romance read with lots of steam. However, in my opinion it was not as good as the first book in the series. It also wasn’t as suspenseful and it was really predictable.

Maddox Wolfe’s buddy in the SEALS, Tommy Morelli is retired and decides to spend time in Brook Creek with Maddox and his wife, Addison. Addison’s best friend and fellow lawyer, Olivia Mayer needs an escape from the pressures of her last case in Des Moines and is invited to vacation with her friend; which coincides with Tommy’s visit. Addison then decides to play match maker despite the rocky “cute meet”Tommy and Olivia had in the first book.
I liked the characters, but this story felt rushed and had no steady theme and nothing the reader could invest in like the first book. This was a novella for those who liked to read about quick hot relationships with no after thought once it was over. This was the one night stand of books. I was hoping for more. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

So when her friend, Addison, invites her for a visit, and she needs a chance to take a break from difficult work issues, she decides to accept the offer. What she didn’t want was a set up with her hubby’s SEAL buddy who is also there to visit – Tommy! Is this meant to be? Or is karma kicking her in the teeth?

I enjoyed this story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story that has characters that make the story pop. They relateable and truly made the story for me. The author's attention to details not only give the story life but also made it fun and entertaining to read. This is a story about Tommy and Olivia. They knew each other in the past but skip a few years forward and they meet again. What fate has in store for them, you don't want to miss. Will he be the man she needs this time and will she be ready to accept him? They made great characters that kept me turning pages. They pulled me into their story from the beginning. This is a steamy story that will heat up your afternoon for sure. I highly recommend this book.

When her friend convinces her to take time off from her demanding job and visit her, the last thing she expects is to find Tommy, a former Navy SEAL, visiting at the same time. Since he's there, available, and her boyfriend just dumped her, maybe it's time for Olivia to take him up on his previous, very crude, offer.
Wonderful, well written and compelling characters getting together for a vacation fling and finding much more. Sexy, and romantic read with a little suspense, and a happily ever after, I couldn't put it down. Great book.

You don't want to turn out the lights with this one!!!

Take Me in the Dark is the second book in the Take Me series and it was another great read. The story is about Tommy and Olivia, who are both friends of Addison and Maddox. These two have a very intense and passionate chemistry but they are also very much opposites, I guess that is why the work so well together as characters. It all started with a comment that should have gotten him slapped but instead ends up with them getting some very naughty time. We know they a have great sexual chemistry but will they mean they have a future together outside of the bedroom?

Tommy is more than happy to oblige since he's more than a little attracted to Olivia; but what happens when vacation is over and it's time to say goodbye?

I loved Olivia and Tommy's steamy story. This is a well-written, sexy romance with a little intrigue and great characters. I really enjoyed this book although my favorite is still the first book of the series, Take Me in The Night. It's even more steamy and delicious than this one!

Don't tell Maddox, but I was a little turned on when he said that you needed to be spanked and f**ked hard." Olivia's fascination with Tommy (and his dirty talk) provides many LOL moments. His protectiveness is in full force when danger appears. But will their fast and furious relationship be able to withstand more than the short interlude of a visit with friends? Book 2 in the Take Me series.

I feel like I have waited years for the follow up to Take Me In The Night. And I am going to go all cliche right now and follow up with saying it was so worth the wait.
Tommy is the man Olivia never knew she was waiting for. Their first encounter left her underwhelmed but intrigued. Then Addison decided to play matchmaker and basically that is all it took for Olivia to throw caution to the wind and give Tommy a chance.
There are plenty of laughs, also lots of sexy times and some suspense as well.
This writing duo keeps going from strength to strength. Cannot wait to read whatever adventure they take me on next. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Maddox has been my book boyfriend for a while but Tommy is providing some stiff (pun intended) competition. He's a big strong man with a dirty mouth, who is good with his hands (amongst other things), cooks and reads! Sign me up. It's nice to see a return of the characters we first met in Take Me in the Night. This book delivered the steaminess I've come to expect from writing duo R.L. Kenderson. There is some humor, danger, tender moments and lots of sexiness! Olivia is an okay character, I neither like nor dislike her. For me, Tommy stole the show and made this book a delight.

Also Olivia's curiosity inspired by catching her friend have sex with her husband and watching Tommy through an uncovered window allows her to make the first move. Tommy helps her with an investigation for a case she is working pro bono on and discovers a new job he will enjoy. Along the way Olivia and Tommy fall in love. I love how Tommy got the answers about their relationship from Olivia. A real humorous part of the story is the interactions between Tommy and Olivia and the Donaldsons.

I’m completely blown away this book is left me in awe!! It’s one of those book/ series that’s you never want to end and pray that the their is a follow up. Tommy and Olivia two unlikely souls have found each other only never to part, but to learn about each other. I love the comedic companion they share together. It truly keeps the relationship refreshing. I must say that having friends like Addison and Maddox is better than having family. They have got your back and gives you strength. Most of all I love the way the Olivia and Tommy’s relationship flowed effortlessly.

Omfg!! The heat from chemistry in this book was got enough to burn 🔥. Right from the start, the passion begins with explicit banter that would have any woman in their right mind soaked with moisture. It doesn’t help that Tommy is an ex-Seal, so you can imagine what type of body he has.

The plot was outstanding and well-written with absolutely nothing left to the imagination with even more intense characters. The mountains these two characters manage to climb, and admit to, makes for an excitement filled, passionate, and desired read. Hats off to the author because I couldn’t put the book down once starting!

She is now sexually frustrated and Addison invites Olivia for a visit when she knows that Tommy is on his way for the same period of time. Matchmaking and a little danger make this book an enjoyable read that engages the mind.

Get yourselves a fan and a soft spot to swoon, cause you're going to fall in love with this one! The chemistry between Tommy and Olivia is palpable. Even from Maddox and Addi's story you could feel the tension building. I had a feeling that one day we would be seeing a lot more of them and boy, was I right or was I right?!? I absolutely LOVE those two together! They bring each other out of their shells, especially Olivia who was a little uptight and intense. Seriously, this book is fire!! 5 stars and 2 thumbs way up!!

Funny 5 stars. - This book will tickle your funny bone and give tingles. Tommy is the perfect man for Olivia. The first time they met was funny and shocking so the proper Olivia avoided Tommy. The next time, they were thrown together to live across from each other and what Olivia saw broke the dam and got them together. The scenes were steamy but you can feel the characters enjoying each other’s company and having fun. The whole book is full of entertaining interactions between the 4 friends. I’m glad to see Addison and Maddox again. There is a bit of danger and mystery. I did enjoy reading this book. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

This was definitely a hot read. I loved how he was determined to show her another side that she hadn't explored, but understood she was still a strong independent woman. I did think for her line of work she was naïve to the threat against her, but I loved seeing her slowly let down her walls to let him in. Steamy read!

Olivia is thrilled to be visiting her friends for the week. Being a lawyer is stressful and this is just what she needs. Tommy is our of the military and goes to visit Maddox for a month. He has a way of being blunt especially when it comes to Olivia and her sexual life. Olivia wants what Addison has. Tommy and Olivia have amazing chemistry. I love their spunky attitudes. This book is just as good as the first one. Great ready by an amazing author.

Olivia acts like it bothers her but I don't think it does (; They was that RL writes this series, sarcastic and with innuendoes, I could read them all day long!
