Deacon Yeah, I know what they call me. Hell, I’ll be honest. I’m a criminal. Well, I use to be, but you know that saying, a leopard can’t change its spots. I’ve been out of the car theft business for years, ever since that one night when everything blew up. Since then, I’ve gone legit. Opened up a business and been on the right side of the law. So when I find out my one night in Vegas is about to make me a daddy, I’m in shock. However, she doesn’t want me to be involved. I have six months to prove to Noni I can be a dad to our baby, and I can stay out of trouble. Too bad my old man is about to pull me back in the game. Noni I have to be perfect. The perfect daughter and the perfect fiancée. I guess my one night in Vegas is going to make that hard. I’m pregnant by a man I barely know. That’s what happens when you’re single and drunk.
Now I have to manage this pregnancy between the man that made me feel like a Queen for one night and my fiancé who won’t let me live it down. All I want is to give this baby the life I never had. He’s fighting to stay in his child’s life. She’s fighting for a happy family. Will either of them find what they’re looking for before their six months are up?

Kicking myself for waiting this long to get Deacon's backstory. It contained all my catnip: accidental pregnancy, a one-night tryst in Vegas, and a man that instantly falls for his unborn child.
CW: Generational Trauma, Emotional Abuse, Guilt, Secrets, and Lies
Myself like many others couldn't wait for Deacons book to drop. His story captivates you from the beginning with his strong silent self. He definitely is an a**hole but he is also stands up and protects th people he cares about. A friend of mine mentioned to me that one of the reasons she loved Deacon is because he has remained the same before and after the book and that is a very true statement! I loved his slick comments, Deacon is such a smart ass and his comments had me cracking up! Tiya's writing style remains top notch the way she told his story and added the twists in the storyline. I was shocked about one particular character (don't want to give it away) but it will be interesting to learn who the Master Puppeteer is behind all this. Deacon's story is without a doubt, the Best one in the series!
After quite a delay, the fourth installment in this A-holes series arrived. I have to say that after the many release delays of this series (this series should be finished and all books available by now), I'd lost excitement for this book a bit. I like Tiya Rayne so finally decided to read this one and it was a decent addition to this mediocre series (for me anyway). So. Plot: Deacon and Noni (apparently) had a magical one night stand months before in Las Vegas and because it's a convenient plot device (not really for this heroine but I'll get to that), they knowingly had a contraception mishap and now Noni is preggers. She's actually engaged and now wants Deacon to relinquish his rights so her fiancé can raise the child once they marry. Like the previous books in the series, this one also suffered from too much happening outside of building a relationship between the couple. We never even saw their initial meeting, attraction and encounter in Vegas. We just were thrown into the story of these two people thrown together by circumstances. I went along with that because I assumed we'd get to see Deacon and Noni's relationship build. Unfortunately, Ms. Rayne decided to employ so many time jumps and TELL us how Deacon and Noni supposedly connected instead of SHOWING us (same as the previous books). I did think those moments between Deacon and Noni were nice but there weren't enough of them. Instead we got the boring and unbelievable crime plot (definitely Gone in 60 Seconds as another reviewer pegged) and Noni's frustrating family and fiancé drama.
I admit that I have very little patience for adults that allow others to rule their lives but I can absolutely understand how it can happen. I get duty and family and that it can be hard to draw boundaries but Noni was ridiculous! Having her be so mistreated by her fiancé and her mother (and aunts etc) was bad but her reasoning for allowing herself to be continuously subjected to such was so idiotic and unbelievable! Noni constantly muses about how she's always needed to be perfect (because her mother is a sociopath and blames Noni for all the ills in her life) and because her father left when she was a young child. To Noni, being perfect means overachieving, never complaining, always being picture perfect and... allowing herself to be the biggest doormat. So first, the way Noni is characterised, I can't believe she'd know that contraception failed and yet not take care of it. But ok. When we meet her, she's got this awful selfish fiancé that is constantly treating her terribly and has cheated on her multiple times. But she wants to be perfect and have the perfect family so she stays. BUT this guy obviously doesn't care about this baby she's having and makes his lack of care known, yet she keeps telling herself that he'll love this baby that isn't his? When he treats her like garbage? She'd rather be in an abusive relationship and bring a child into it, instead of being a single mother and stand up to this guy and her mother for herself, her baby and her peace of mind. She just accepts it until of course Deacon comes to save her (and this poor baby) from her false sense of perfection. YUCK. Eventually she stands up for herself but we have no idea what the aftermath of that really is, particularly regarding her horrid mother. Noni was so frustrating.
Now Deacon. Typical (supposed) alpha bad boy from the very wrong side of the tracks. He had a bad childhood and got in with a criminal car theft gang but left to open his tattoo businesses. The plot about him being pulled back into criminal activity was so silly and again, boring and predictable (the twist that... wasn't?) that I don't care to rehash it for review. I liked him though and that he was all in to be a father even though he didn't have parents and didn't think he had much to offer. He took good care of Noni and stuck up for her and the baby (because she didn't). I liked his interactions with his employees and his friends in the A-hole club (and this was the first book where it seemed that the authors got together to flesh out more of the crew's bond.)
While this book was okay, there was something that has been bothering me about this series and some these authors' work previously but it was so blatant in this book that I can't not address it. These books are so filled with the degradation of women it's INSANE! Any female character that is not the heroine (or Skittles) is treated so disgustingly by these guys (and these authors). I know they're supposed to be A-holes but this goes so much beyond that (and it's a pattern with some of these authors). How do these ladies not understand that if a man is disrespectful to any woman that isn't his GF, isn't a good thing and when you ever become not his GF, you'll be the one he turns his A-hole behaviour on? Can't they just write a guy casually (or charmingly even) saying he's not interested or not have a guy (or the heroine in some cases) resort to insulting every other women for every interaction? Any time another woman is on page, she's used as the focal point for whatever character's vitriol and to be brought low so that the heroine is brought high and it's so misogynistic and gross especially the times it happened in Deacon. Checkout lady, rando woman in the club, previous friend with benefits, woman who's man "disrespected" Deacon and Noni becomes the target instead of the man. Just pretty much any woman that isn't the heroine or someone the hero or heroine cares about. It truly brought down my enjoyment of the book (and lowered my rating significantly). Just so gross and sad and makes me wonder if these female authors ever think about why they do this so much and sort themselves out!
Anyway, in spite of the issues I had with the book, it was cute and it served as a time pass. There are two books left (also hugely delayed -- which means they were never really ready for the initial schedule because the final book was to drop in mid-April - scheduling is so important and when 4 of 6 books are massively delayed... not good at all) and I will probably read them. If only to confirm my theory as to the person behind all the issues this group has been having and see how things will absolutely make no real sense as to how he's accomplishing it (he seems to know everything about everyone, even things about their childhoods and lives that their so called close Crew don't know and is all seeing and all knowing with endless resources lol). I'm still intrigued by Kelex and Rhet's author is new (and SUPER late with their book as we were told it's still being written yikes) and I always want to try new authors so I'll be somewhat keeping an eye out for those. Unfortunately, my excitement for this series and project has plummeted a lot.
I've been waiting on Tiya's book as she is one of my top fav authors in ir romance. I didn't understand the attraction between Noni and Deac. Noni and her story was super annoying for way too much of the story. I pushed thru because Tiya is, and always will be, a great story teller. Deacon had me rolling and blushing for the whole book. He was absolutely and unapologetically himself and hilarious!!! Loved seeing his life unfold with his cocky nature, but also his insecurities, doubts and challenges that came with him because of his childhood. This series is not fairing well for me...loved Pit's story so far. Hope this gets better and they get back on schedule with these release date🙄
Normally I would be too excited about reading this book that I would want to talk about everything all at once. But this book has left me VERY conflicted, until I manage to figure out my overall feelings towards this book.
So let began this review with a great start...
Let me be the frist to say that All hands down Deacon is my FAVORTIE out of all the other A$$holes males.... no I cant even lie he comes before even Skittles. HIs sarcasm is one that you cannot help but enjoy and laugh about. He has a mouth on him that I just couldn't stop laughing. Even the first couple of pages of the book I instantly fell in love with him. lol This guy is really too much and I absolutely LOVE him.
Honestly he is most definitely an A$$hole. But just like the other memebers, when push comes to shove they're the ones that will have your back, and push you to do better.
Dang this makes me want to have one of my very own from this club. The Loyality is out standing and envious. I can honestly say that Deacon is what save this book from me tossing it to the side. Because woooah Noni is one person who was pushing my every last button, and pissing me off.
So let talk about the woman of the hour, the main female lead, Noni.
Hmm what can I say about Noni... Hmm... How about some details about her.
Noni is someone who tries to please others and be this perfect daughter, perfect person, an over all good girl. She has her own buiness, she helps her mother around the house, she even forgave her cheating ex and took him back and agree to be his fiancee. AND if that's not the kicker of all things, before she went back with him she had a one night stand, giving her virginity to Deacon on an Las Vegas trip, and ending up pregant.
But no that's not the best part, the best part of this all is that James ( her cheating ex...well her fiancee ) he puts her down ALL the time. I do mean ALL THE TIME. Blames her for getting pregant by someone else, tells her that he's doing the best he can, while making her do everything he wants. Oh and her Mother is a real peice of work, she is no better then James putting her daughter down her entire life. Telling her she no better then her father, who left her by the way, since he couldn't deal with her mother.
BUT that's not what makes me extremely mad when reading about Noni, or reading from her point of view.
Nay. Nay. Not that, but little miss Noni herself.
This woman pisses me off so freaking bad, that I was about to just throw away the book. I just couldn't stand reading it anymore, her decisions was pissing me off. She's not dumb, she is a VERY bright and capable woman who was able to get her own buiness by herself, and handle her responsiblites by herslf as well.
But she makes these Dumb A$$ Decisions that makes you want to reach in the book and knock some common sense into her. There was just so many times when it was just too much to read, to watch it happen over and over, and watch her chase after and accept the disrespect, put downs, and ignorance. It was stressful, infuriating, and frustrating to the point I just wanted to stop reading.
But Deacon's sarcasm and him being there has made this journey bareable, and then pleasureable, and then hilarous... Or is it hilarous and then pleasureable... Hmmm, can't exactly choose which one I would put first.
Regardless, I don't really care for a damesel in dristress Female Main Lead, esp. one this much of a push over, but I can tell everyone don't give up on this book. And that it get a whole lot better.
Now it took me to stop reading it for a couple of hours so that I can get through the rest. But It was extremely worth it. Eventually I came to a realization that if your being put down all your life, esp. by your own mother, you start to believe thats normal. Coming to this realization made me realize that this was a work in progress for her to get through. And then I started to appericate her journey of having more selfcare for herself. And how it's all because of Deacon that this break through could've happen.
Now if you're like me and you do come across this part and find yourself wanting to throw this book across the room. DON'T! It's extremely worth it. Just breath through your anger and your inplus to drop it, and ride this wave out. You will DEFINITELY thank me in the end.
There are a couple of scenes that had me confuse. The biggest one is the timing of Deacon and Noni child. I swear on the book before this one, Tak & Jazz was 5 months pregnant, when Tak came across the the two in the DInner & Deacon finds out he's going to be a dad. Jazz was either 4 or 5 months pregant, and at that time Nino was around 2 &1/2 to 3 months pregnant. So timing wise on when Deacon & Nino baby is born doesn't make sense, since Tak & Jazz didn't have theirs. This is something the Arthurs would want to fix / keep a better eye on.
Overall I really enjoy this book, found myself extremely surpise by alot of the scenes that happens in this book. I'm excited to read the next book of this series Rhet.
DEACON! Yes, now that's what I'm talking about! This guy really has no filter, but he's hilarious, bold, and sexy at the same time. I enjoyed reading about his romance with Noni. I really enjoyed how the heroine kind of grows into her own, building confidence as her relationship with Deacon grows deeper and more serious. I really love how he uplifts her. Also, there's plenty of action packed into this too. Also a surprise twist you don't see coming! Really enjoyable read.
I enjoyed this book from the beginning until the end.Tiya Rayne didn't disappoint. One of the best book in this series in my opinion. The storyline was good, I loved the main two characters. The "quotes "Deacon said had me in stitches so much so my husband asked me what was so funny, and I told him and he started laughing too. l would recommend
OMG, I initially thought I would develop an ulcer with the way Noni responded to confrontation, but she grew one! I loved this book. Love Deacon and loved him with Noni. There is so much crazy that was trying to ruin what they were trying to develop. Poor Noni's Mom and her other relatives appeared to be working overtime to bring that poor child down. And I won't even say anything about that fiancé, Jason. I felt for Deacon, but was so pleased when he got his fellow "Brothers" and Skittles involved , because you knew then they'd figure it out. Now it's still not clear who is behind all this trouble plaguing the group. Looking forward to the continuation of their saga.
Thank goodness Noni found Deacon. He not only gave her butterflies, he helped her realize that she was already perfect just the way she was, gave her the strength to cut ties to the toxic people in her life, and gave her Asa.
I absolutely LOVED this storyline with Deacon and Noni!💞. They were the perfect example of opposites attracts. Noni's life wasn't exactly what a young girl would dream of... Instead feeling loved, she was put through trials that no one should have to suffer. Deacon had a really rough childhood and put his trust and love into a man that treated him like a son. They find each other and realize the life they had previously, wasn't a life at all.
This book actually made me laugh aloud more than a few times. Deacon is definitely befitting of the club he belongs to as he is rough around the edges and vulgar but he usually is right in his observations.
Noni meets Deacon one night in Vegas and chemistry between them is incendiary They have a very passionate night together... which is truly where the story begins as Noni meets up with Deacon to tell him that a busted condom had consequences. Events take off from there.
Both Noni and Deacon have serious baggage from rough childhoods. With Deacon, it was a negligent mother and an unknown father. For Noni, it was an angry mother and an absentee father. So both characters come into this situational with different ideas on how to handle the situation. Noni’s resolution also includes a fiancé who she had been on a break with from she met Deacon.
What makes this story entertaining for me is definitely Deacon’s ripostes. He is so rude but funny as hell as he speaks the truth. I was charmed by his burgeoning relationship with Noni throughout the story. They are totally hot for each other but more importantly, he brings her joy. He truly sees her and loves her which in turn gives her the confidence to quit some bad habits and to learn to be herself. Deacon lifts Noni up.
I enjoy Tiya Rayne’s books a lot. This one is no different and I recommend it. I think I will also check out then rest of this series (which is by different authors).
If not for the first few chapters, this would have been a 4.5 or possibly 5 stars. I love this writer — have enjoyed all of her other books. She almost lost me, though, because of the h Noni’s reactions (or should I say non-reactions?) to the truly over-the-top behaviors from her fiancé and mother. Some of those situations and/or dialogue weren’t credible. Noni’s need to be the “perfect” daughter/fiancé shouldn’t have risen to the level of emotional and psychological abuse she withstood. There wasn’t enough preliminary setup in the storyline to make it plausible or to allow the reader to truly empathize with her. But, this writer demonstrated why she’s one of my favorites: even with one character’s frustrating behavior, the storyline and other characters were compelling enough for me to continue reading.
With that being said, once Noni woke up, she woke ALL the way up and the rest of the book was really good. The connection between her and Deacon was completely believable and scorching hot. I loved the progression of their relationship and that they always found a way to reach a higher level of understanding, commitment and connection. AND some of his comments had me laughing out loud!!!!
Can I please see the button where I can add more stars because Ms Tiya done showed out with this book. Firstly i might be W little bias because mama knows how to serve page turners. And that’s no hype, that’s a point, blank, and a doggone period.
Now to the book😉. I think as more of these guys are introduced to us you love them even more. I thought I stan Pit, the. I stan’d Luke and then Tak now my mind is discombobulated because can wooooow that there Deacon done did a number in me.
Ms Tiya Served characters as always. The couple is sooo well matched and just complement each other so well. Noni was the perfect Daughter with a very ungrateful Fiancé and Mom ( who I wanted to give a number of chops to the throats to) and one night of being care free they make her pay for her current predicament. Now if I’ve learned anything with Ms Tiya is that she captures you from the beginning and then when you get comfy on the ride, then she through a you for a loop. I mean how???? I had more to say . But then that would mean I spoil the book for you and we don’t do that here ( enter Black Panther Voice). Let me just put these extra stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Down here .
This is my first time reading anything by this author, but because I’m addicted to this series I’m finding new authors to enjoy. So far I’ve loved all, but one of the books from this series.
Deacon Titus Clarke has pushed Pit and Luke out of my top spot. I ADORED him!! Because I didn’t finish Tak’s book- I didn’t realize the unresolved issue mentioned in Pit’s story continued on. Now I don’t feel so lost about how things concluded there.
Now back to Deacon and Noni. I saw a few readers complain about Noni. I didn’t feel the same, IMO the author did a great job laying the groundwork to explain Noni’s personality and difficulties with boundaries. So her doormat persona didn’t annoy me. But the moment she begin to show a backbone… 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾I literally cheered while reading.
Jason was the literal worse. James was trash. Mad Dog needed a better nickname. But her Mother, ugh!! Like- how could she be so awful.
I love that the other characters appearance never overshadowed the main characters.
I could go on and on about why I enjoyed this. It was a great balance between steamy (and I mean steamy), gritty, funny, and sweet.
I was getting worried about this series, but Deacon saved the day. Deacon and Noni met in Vegas and had a one night stand. Months later, Noni informs Deacon that she is pregnant but wants him to give up his rights so she and her Fiance can raise the baby. The first quarter of this book was not good and had me feeling like I was about to be disappointed. Noni basically is 31 years old and allows her cheating Fiancé, Jason, make her feel like crap for getting pregnant. Although Noni and Jason had broken up because he cheated on her with his colleague. Noni had a fear of abandonment which her psycho mother was the root cause. Shonda, Noni's mother, made Noni feel like she was the reason her father left when it was the other way around. Noni eventually gets a backbone and finds her voice with Deacon's help. This was a good read. There was a twist at the end that wasn't expected, but makes sense because Griff reason for getting caught up with the Russians didn't make sense. I would recommend this book.
I guess it is easier to see the truth when you are on the outside, cause I could see that Deacon and Noni were both being loyal to the wrong people! Not only that, these were selfish and self centered fakers! A lot of damage was done before they saw the truth and started to live out their happiness! I am sure both are grateful for their friends who were ready and willing to step up and step in to help save one of the A-Team and his Girl! You Go Team, to Pit & Skittles, Luke & Syd, Tak & Jazz, Kelex and all the other Bada** men they have befriended!
While I really liked Deacon and cheered his defense of Noni, which helped her to begin to see that she could stand up for herself and demand better treatment, he himself tended to not see the whole picture until it hit him in the face. By not engaging in analytical thought, or not knowing when to pull out per se the A-Team, things are allowed to happen that there may be no time to reverse before major damage is done.
She thinks it’s an accomplishment to make me come. I’m not going to argue with her. However, despite how good her head game is, I miss my pussy. “Yeah, well, that’s why your ass needs to get some rest because tonight, I’m taking back what belongs to me.” Her high pitch laughter dies out on another yawn. “Go to sleep, I love you, Mrs. Clarke.” “I love you too, Mr. Clarke.” Noni and I got married two weeks after bringing our daughter home from the hospital. I called Pit and asked him to be my best man and stand with me at the courthouse. I should have known they weren’t going to let it be that simple. We had a small, close-knit wedding right in my yard. Noni’s friends and Skittles decorated the yard, and Pit arranged for the priest to be there. All the guys showed up, even Jeff’s ornery ass. I turn my phone off and place it on the table. Asa and I have big plans for today. We’re starting off at this coffee shop, because Daddy needs a little pick-me-up.
Deacon is the 4th book in the A**holes series. Tiya Rayne, as always, brings her A-game to the telling of Deacon and Noni's love story. I love how Ms. Rayne always takes the time to develop both her H and h. You know them and therefore are invested and root for their HEA. I imagine it must be challenging to incorporate characters from four other author's stories and stay true to them in your book, but she does it masterfully. I am a huge fan of Tiya Rayne, if you haven't read her other books, what the heck are you waiting for??? All her books are pure fiyah! Deacon was a great way to get back on track, in this series, after the last book which I didn't care for. I can't wait for the last two books in the series. I'm dying to meet Rhet and Kelex and the little ladies the will bring these big A**holes to their knees! Bring on the goodness!
from this series…Which is an improvement for me. I love The concept of The A**hole Series. Loved Pit and Luke was good too. The Authors… I’m very happy for these ladies and want to support them. Chapters 15 & 30… both pivotal in me continuing reading this book. It took until Chapter 15 for Noni to catch a clue and until chapter 30 for her and Deacons story to come together. I started flipping pages in between b/c I hate not finishing a book. I liked Deacon & Noni’s characters together but Lord have mercy, why does it have to be so hard? This makes me want to re-read The Black Brothers series again for the 3rd time. Now that series is perfection… plot, theme, character build up, not too much needless bull and excellent love/sex scenes. This book was ok but I’m not confident about the rest of the series.
Noni made me mad with her at the beginning of this book because of the way she let her mother and Jason control her just so she could feel like she belonged to a family. Glad she finally grew a backbone and knew her self worth with the help and live of Deacon. I still think Jason and Shondra had a relationship going on or something behind Noni's back because the way they acted with one another was more than just future in-laws type behavior. As for all the incidents or "shitstorms" that has been happening to them I think it has something to do with Jeremy and that race they were all involved in. It's either Jeremy himself ( which means he didn't die in that explosion) or one of relatives. But in the end I'm glad Deacon and Noni made it through and got their HEA.
Who’d a thought the criminal could be reformed completely. I guess when you’re faced with decisions and your past mistakes and pain you do what you have to do.
Deacon was living his best bachelor life and minding his business. However a wild night for Noni the good girl and a usual night for Deacon yielded fruit.
I enjoyed this book and the main characters. Noni needed a backbone so bad and love. Deacon needed to love someone and to be needed. They both needed each other. Family won’t let you be great and both of theirs were definitely the epitome of that. The mama made me want to choke her out! I just knew she was sleeping with the fiancé or something because she was a lot! The fiancé was asking for his face to be punched in.
It was good to see the crew in this book as only they can come in!
The last thing you think about when reading a series called the A**hole Series is IR or romance period but in true Tiya Rayne style, she delivers. If you haven't read the first 3 books in the series, do yourself a favor and go catch up...NOW! Pit, Luke and Tak are good - damn good actually, but Deacon takes it up a notch. This book is jam packed and fast paced. I had to put it down a couple of times to catch my bearings. The individual character development was well crafted. Noni and Deacon's insecurities are relatable as individuals and in the fragility their relationship is built on. I cannot praise this book, this series and its authors enough. They deserve ALL the flowers. Bravo, Tiya! You've done it again, this book is a masterpiece.
Unbelievably Awesome Deacon is a riot and Noni is a beast in the making …….
Without giving too much away, there are some selfish people among us. I’m talking deliberate sabotage, servitude to the umpteenth degree, intentionally misleading, self-righteousness, delusional, fake, barely disguised contempt, jealousy, pompous and etc……….
Now if you want to read about a person who comes into their truth and lives accordingly, this is your book
If you need a reminder of what a true family (kin or not) does in a time of crisis, this is your book
If you want to learn to be nice and petty when someone upsets you, this is definitely your book
Lastly if you need a dose of feel good happiness, you got it, this is your book
This book is the fourth in the A..hole Series. The books are connected with crossover but can be read alone. Deacon and Noni connect in Vegas and she falls pregnant. She was broken up with her cheating and controlling fiancé....now they are back together and plan to raise Deacon’s baby together. Deacon has other ideas but his life has a new complication from an old friend. I really enjoyed this story and Ms Raye made the villains extremely hateful....Noni’s mother and fiancé were so OBNOXIOUS that I had to stop reading at one point. They made the gun carrying thugs look good....I wanted to reach in the book and pop Noni upside her head. She was TOO nice. This book was exciting with that Fast and Furious vibe but also hot and romantic.
If you liked Pit and Luke you’ll love Deacon! He’s the hilarious, badass, lovably sensitive asshole everyone wants and deserves lol. His patience and tenderness with Noni was so sweet to read 🥹 Both of them grew up in traumatic environments and had their own set of insecurities to work through, but through everything they always supported one another and that was so nice to read. I love love *loved* Noni! She made me want to pull my hair out in the beginning lol but to watch her literally bloom… She was determined to give her child the love she didn’t get.
This one has it all: romance, setbacks, disappointments, fighting, heartbreak, and a wild twist. I was so surprised my jaw literally fell open lol.
I went through every emotion reading this one, that’s what I call a good story!
I found Deacon to be interesting in the first three books. I couldn’t figure out how he got on the racing scene. I was surprised to find out why he was there that night. Noni meets Deacon while in Vegas for her besties bachelorette party. She just broke up with her fiancée. She sees Deacon and can’t keep his eyes off of her. They end up spending the night together and she ends up pregnant. This is where the drama begins. Noni is trying to live up to her mother’s standards-be the perfect daughter and fiancée (to her ex). Deacon is trying to make sure his father is okay. This book was fast paced and kept you on your feet with the amount of drama that was going on. Deacon is definitely an a*hole and his one liners had me rolling!
Tina! You did the darn thing (edited for Amazon but you know what I mean). I hated Jason so much I had to the book down several times! But those moments between Deacon and Noni were so perfect. I loved how you showed her grow into who she really was and I loved her friends! Porsha and Amira are the best kind of friends! I'm glad she kept them despite what her mom and Jason said about them. I can't say how wonderful this book was without spoiling it but I loved it all! You wrote these characters so well that I'm sad the book is over. Can't wait for more from this series though! Who's up next?
I’m love the A-hole gang they all don’t play and their women don’t play either. I loved Deacons storyline him and Noni were so cute. I’m glad Noni found her voice it took her way too long to let her ex and mother knew how she really felt about them. But once she did it felt good. I do wonder what her and mother’s relationship will be like now that baby Asa is here.
***Spoiler alert**** I was praying Deacon didn’t get arrested because I knew there was no coming back from that. I was disappointed in James though shame on him for betraying Deacon. I really enjoyed seeing the whole gang! Can’t wait for the next book!
I love all the assholes but I believe so far this one is my favorite. It's the audacity for me. Noni's mama and limp dic Jason has some real problems. For a minute I thought they were smashing each other the way they were always cosign for each other.I was so glad when Noni started speaking her mind and putting their azzes in their place. Griff is the lowest. He took Deacon love for him and used it against him. He knew Deacon would do anything in the world for him because he looked at him as his father. Griff greedy self got what he deserved. The crew may be assholes, but their smart assholes. Can't wait to see what's in store for Rhet.💖💖
