Shaw Montgomery loves reading, traveling, and family. While not necessarily in that order, they all rank pretty close. Shaw has lived all over the United States and even Germany. While the coast of North Carolina is a favorite place Shaw currently lives in the Western United States. Current wish list places to travel to are Australia, Italy, and Scotland.
When Shaw wants to write about things that are a little more taboo (or sometimes a lot more taboo), Shaw writes under the name M.A.Innes.
Lane is nothing less than adorable...and he isn't really your normal stalker, or any other type of real stalker...just a name he calls himself as he tries to never miss a chance to watch and be present in the shop when Wilder comes to get his coffee. Actually, Wilder secretly likes it and looks forward to seeing Lane. Wilder was also able to think more about something he had been puzzling over for several months.... his thoughts about his sexuality and these thoughts were ever more present after getting to know Lane more. The best thing, other than these two sweet guys, was that throughout the entire story there was absolutely no angst...just these two getting to know one another...fall in love...and find out that there was way more to Wilder than the macho tattoo artist. Seeing Lane and Wilder slowly becoming more and more comfortable with each other produced several smiles. The narrator, Kenneth Obi, did yet another fantastic job with the narration.
This book "Lane" (Leashes and Lace) was sooooo much better than book two "Eli". Even though Eli and Roman are in this installment also I just couldn't endure their constant yelling and screaming. I hated both MC's but let's talk and Lane and Wilder.
Wilder was a little to good to be true but that is the type of man Lane needed in his life. Wilder didn't have any reservations about Lane. He just wanted Lane because he was Lane not something else.
Sweet and shy Lane just wanted to find someone who saw the real him. Soft and hard, sweet and sexy, leashes and lace. Wilder is everything and more that Lane can want. This was a great read. Looking forward to Preston's book.
I love Lane and Wilder right from the beginning. I was fully invested and keen to see where the story went with these guys. "It's not stalking - it's getting coffee." "It's stalking if you do it just to follow someone."
Lane has been admiring the tattooed hottie Wilder for a while. He assumes that he's not got a chance with him, so Lane admires/stalks Wilder as he gets his coffee a few times a week. When Wilder overhears a conversation in the coffee shop, he decides he wants to meet his friendly stalker.. "Only you could pick up a lingerie wearing guy as a stalker."
Wilder comes to realise that he's not as straight as he'd once believed... "Getting your cock sucked didn't necessarily mean you were gay or bi - wanting to get to know the guy who was crushing on you or going to town on your dick probably did."
"I was being asked out by the sexiest, most interesting guy I'd met in a long time. I was going to buy a lottery ticket on the way home from work."
"Part of me wanted to poke him and make sure he was real. And not just to feel up his muscles."
Wilder is interested in Lane but had never really thought of himself as bi before. He's open to getting to know Lane and seeing what happens from there. They go from coffee to a dinner date. It was fun watching them both be excited but nervous about each other. Both having friends who are trying to be helpful but only kind of succeeding... "Those are not I'm going out on a date with a sexy tattooed hunk underwear."
"Surprising him with interesting things on a first date seemed like a bad idea. Not that I thought we were going to get naked on the first date. I liked the guy, but I wasn't going to be caught in a situation where things got out of hand and I got naked - and opps, I'm wearing red lace panties."
Lane was adorable.. "Some things you just shouldn't spring on a date. I likes to wear panties. I liked to get spanked occasionally. I knew I was cute but In was a bit of a math nerd and I played DnD with friends a few times a month. There were lots of things you just had to ease people into."
I loved the growth of their relationship. Watching them get to know each other. Both sweet and genuine guys. "He'd gone from my cute little stalker to something more precious in just days, but there was no denying the fact that nothing had ever felt more right."
I loved the way their relationship evolved. It was perfect, the way Wilder wanted Lane to stay true to himself and embraced all of Lane's differences.
"You look beautiful. Every silk and lace covered inch of you."
A beautiful story of finding love and that perfect person for you. I loved everything about this book. Highly recommend!!
Did not enjoy this at all :-/ ... I do believe that as enjoyable as her books are to a lot of people, her books and style of writing are just not for me :-/!!
The blurb sounded great and promising, but the execution left a lot to be desired :-/! I’ll list several points relatively soon!!
It is the hints obscured by lace that makes it special.
I am not particularly interested in the gayfem genre, but pride myself for flexibility and versitility in reading and life. This book caught my attention with the name "Lane". My first real best friend had that name, so I had to buy the book. It was worth it. Not that anything was the same, but the book kept triggering memories and dreams that made both better.
My Lane lived near my uncle's farm where I worked summers from 10 to 18 before being limited by distance, jobs, school, and Army duties. I have only seen him a few times since, but we just clicked together,, bringing out the best and worst in each other. I wish it had been different, but I still love him
The book "Lane" is young, cute, hot, and knows what he wants. He wants a manly handsome tattoo artist and begins stalking him at afternoon coffee breaks to feed his need knowing the guy is probably straight and unattainable. But just as mine was kept apart by fate after allowing me to bond, Lane bonds with his artist as fate brings them together. The bonding leads to love and forever, preserved in pictures and drawings of Lane the model and Lane the man. Wearing feminine fashion modified for men makes sessions interesting as the minimal fashion bares skin and hints of sexual tension amongst the models and staff. It will also swell in your mind as you read about the sessions and after parties.
Maybe 2.5 stars, but this book #3 just didn't work for me. I loved #2, Eli, but even with a lot of "manties" I just couldn't work up to liking this one. The first half of the book is all conversation about a GFY tattooed he-man dating a male lingerie model and the second half is some actual hands-on modeling by our MC's, but I'm afraid I found it sappy and not very romantic. Sorry.
Not really a relationship I was interested in. After Eli's book, the next one I needed to connect to Bishop's book was Wesley. Started out surprisingly fun with Wilder overhearing his stalker and things going from there. Another Eli push to get them going. It was alright, but apart from the sketch, this couple was pretty forgettable.

Lane by Shaw Montgomery is the third book in the Leashes & Lace series. This novel is a sweet and sexy tale about loving yourself and finding love when (and with whom) you least expect it, and it follows Lane, a pretty, lingerie-wearing amateur stalker, and Wilder, a big, tattooed hunk with a soft side. These two men explore new sides of themselves through their blossoming relationship, and realize who they truly are as they learn how they fit together.
I cracked this book open looking for a light, romantic read with some hot sex.
I am absolutely thrilled to say that is EXACTLY what I got. Going into this book, I had a feeling that I would enjoy it based on how much I loved Houston, the first book in this series. I’ll admit that I didn’t enjoy this book quite as much, but it was still really, really good!
One of my favourite parts of this book is Wilder’s journey with his sexuality. There is no big freak out, and there’s not really a big moment of realization either. It’s a natural progression, and I thoroughly enjoyed how it wasn’t something that he stressed himself out over after meeting Lane. Instead, he just rolled with it, and that was really sweet to read.
Likewise, Lane’s exploration of his gender expression was really nicely done! It’s clear from the start that he likes femininity, but expressing that in more public venues is something he isn’t comfortable with. As the book goes on, we see his relationship with himself grow, and his attitude towards expressing who he really is shifts and evolves as he is given more and more support from those around him.
The dom/sub aspect of this novel is pretty light and exists more in undertones than defined roles. That was, however, really enjoyable! These characters come together really, really naturally, and this feels like just another extension of that.
I didn’t read the second book in this series, so there were a few instances where I was a bit confused about what was going on. Nothing major and nothing that massively impacted the plot in any big way, but there were enough little mentions to things I’d missed that it felt mentionable here.
I did find that the end of the novel came up a bit quicker than I’d have liked. If the last third of the novel had been stretched out and some of their getting to know each other had been explicitly written out instead of just implied, I think the ending would have been much more impactful.
With that said, if you’re looking for a quick, light, loving read, I think this could be a good fit for you if you’re also a fan of adult fiction, light BDSM and cross-dressing!

Lanes story was cute and it was enjoyable, however it didn't hold my attention like the others did. I dunno why it just was kinda, meh, for me. I'm looking forward to the next one though! Preston has intrigued me since book one! Can't wait!
This is book 3 in the Leashes and Lace series. Unlike the previous 2 books, in this story the author gives us so much more emotion. There is mild BDSM, but the strength of this book comes from it's opposites attract basis.
Wilder is a big strong alpha type , with a body to die for covered in tattoos. He has an arts major and he uses that talent in so many parts of his life. He has never been attracted to a man before, but has always felt comfortable in the company of gay men. Never questioning his sexuality, he just does what feels good, and when he meets his " sweet stalker " he is happily intrigued. His attraction to Lane is never questioned, all he wants is to get to know the sweet , sexy man, and watch him come undone by his hands. He wants to capture the inner beauty, the attraction, the feelings Lane expresses so freely, all on a soul baring sketch.
Lane is pretty nervous, his obsession with Wilder is taking up all his time. Will a potentially straight man be attracted to someone like him? Someone that likes all the pretty things in life, the soft costumes and sexy lingerie. Being a lingerie model is not an easy thing to accept in a partner, so much to worry over.
When these two characters meet, their journey together is so special. Wilder takes things slowly, not wanting to rush Lane, trying to prove to him that he's in this relationship for the long run. Lane is so happy that he's met someone so special that also understands his kinks.
You could feel their love developing like a tangible thing, it's heart warming and deep, with so much acceptance and tenderness, just beautiful.
This story stirs your imagination like nothing else. The descriptions of the lingerie, the costumes, especially the sketches are so impressive, that you can't help your mind going places.
I'm not a man, nor am I a interested in anyone other than my husband of soon to be 43 years, but if anyone could help me understand what the phrase "Love is Love" means better than Shaw Montgomery, I don't know who it might be. As a long-time ally of the LGBTQ folks in our world, I've used the phrase many times and truly believe in the words. Reading this book gave me the substance behind the words.
Long before he was noticed, Lane developed a crush on the beefy, tattooed guy in the coffee shop so he started going to the shop at the same time each day in an attempt to meet him. Finally, after Eli went along one day and projected his stage whisper too loudly in Wilder's direction so he knew about Lane's little obsession, the story of love between the two could began.
This was a simply delightful love story between a man who thought he was straight but super open-minded and another man who bounced back and forth between feeling genuinely strong about his identity in his world and concerned about others perception of themselves in his world. It is a wonderful tale and example of one man discovering that when he falls in love, it is with the person, it is not with the gender of the person. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be re-reading it many times. Thank you, Shaw Montgomery for such a feel-good book!
Lane wasn't really a stalker as he just made sure that he was in the right place at the right time to watch the sexy tattooed hunk get his coffee in the afternoon a few days per week. Besides the hunk had to be straight no matter how badly Lane wanted to imagine him being otherwise. Wilder wasn't quite sure what he was going to do about the admirer he'd picked up on his afternoon lunch break when he had heard the two men talking about him. He should have ignored them or found a way to let the sweet shy guy know he wasn't interested, but he kept thinking about him - maybe he wasn't as straight as he thought. When one guy isn’t as shy as he seems and the other isn’t quite as straight as he thinks, they just might be able to make it work.
I loved this story with the two guys who met over coffee and managed to build a lasting relationship when both of their previous behaviours were challenged and proven to be not quite as true as they were assumed. I loved the passion that they had as well as the way that they were able to communicate and find many differences and similarities that just worked together well. I loved that Wilder loved the whole of Lane. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content of a BDSM like nature of a D/s nature.
Lane (submissive model at Leashes & Lace) & Wilder (dominant tattoo artist & children’s book illustrator).
Lane has a crush on a local tattoo artist and he’s taken to timing his visits to the local coffee shop in order to watch him. The tattoo artist, Wilder, is usually lost in a book, so he’s never noticed Lane. But on this particular visit, Lane and Eli are sitting at a table behind Wilder, discussing Lane’s stalking skills. And Wilder can hear every word. Despite never dating a guy, Wilder find himself developing an easy affection for his shy and unassuming stalker.
Lane leaves without a glance his way, but Eli lingers long enough to indicate Lane was interested and let him know his stalker will be back on Friday. Devious little matchmaker.
On their next visit, Wilder asks Lane to have coffee with him and Eli makes himself scarce. They hit it off right from the start. The conversation flows and the chemistry is tangible.
First date at a new restaurant. Wilder is very tactile. Gentle teasing touches leave Lane squirming.
Second date: Lane making Wilder Italian at his apartment, followed by making out on the couch. They’re both happy with Wilder teasing and generally taking control.
Third date: Wilder wants Lane to model some of the lingerie from the site. Not only for the sexual thrill, but because Wilder wants to sketch Lane. Wilder likes the first nightie enough that the runway shown is called off for sex on the floor. (The bedroom is too far away.)
***
Love how “my stalker” becomes a term of endearment.

This is an incredibly sweet love story. Lane is a male lingerie model at Leashes & Lace, and he loves to express his more feminine side. He is also crushing on a big tattooed stranger who he is sure must be straight. In fact, Wilder thinks he is straight, too, until he notices Lane and feels things he's never felt for a man before. The two of them begin dating, and more, and they are so right for each other. I love how Wilder is able to just go with the flow when it comes to realizing his sexuality isn't what he thought it was. I love how Lane decides to trust Wilder, even though he worries about what could happen if he pushes his lover too much with showing his less masculine side. I love Eli and his usual pushiness, which I know comes from a place of caring. Basically, I just love everything about this sweet, and very sexy, romance. This series is so fun, and has incredibly hot moments. The characters are easy to relate to and care about, and their stories are satisfying. I am enjoying every storyline, and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On yes! This one is my favorite. I have loved this series from the beginning and have connected with the characters easily but Wilder and Lane are my absolute favorites. There is something so special a out these two that makes them seem so real and endearing that my connection to them is even deeper. I can almost picture the images of them together at the end of the book. Like other series by Shaw Montgomery, the books get better as you go farther into the series. I just don't know how she can top this one. Sweet nervous Lane and bold beautiful Wilder make a strikingly artistic couple. Can you imagine Ronan's pictures and Wilder's sketches? Wow is too weak to express how amazing I found this read to be. www.reviewsforthosewholoveagoodbook.w...
I think this is my favorite couple, but then again I might say that with each book. :) Lane is a sexy sweetheart that likes numbers and sexy undergarments. Wilder is a tough looking tattoo artist who illustrates children's books. I love how well these two work together as a couple. Wilder is great when he doesn't freak out about liking a guy for the first time. I really like it when the characters don't spend a lot of time freaking out about changes in their perceived sexuality.
Another great book by the author. I can't wait fur the next book in the series and I would love more from all the couple's that we have met so far.
Another great story by Shaw Montgomery! This is the third in the Leashes and Lace series but can be read as a standalone as each book centers around different couples. Such a sweet and sexy story between Lane & Wilder. Low angst & HEA. I loved how their story developed from what could have been an extremely awkward meeting in the coffee shop into an open-minded and truly loving relationship. Some of the scenes from the photoshoots were painted so vividly I could see them in my head and wanted them to be real!
I'm rounding up from 3.5 on the strength of the characters. I had to deduct stars because it seemed like the author left out some chapters.
The buildup between Lane and Wilder was fun, and I enjoyed their mostly angst-free relationship, but it seemed like the book ended at about the 3/4 point in the story. I wanted more story. This just felt rushed at the end, as if three or four chapters were missing.
I'm not saying don't read it - absolutely read it - but don't be surprised if you feel like you've been edged and let down without a climax.
As always, Shaw Montgomery is and excellent storyteller and gifted writer. I'm so glad Lane found his man and Wilder found his handsome beauty. I know this book was Lane's story but I heard Wilder's voice and sexy tone so clearly. Such a beautiful, sexy story and I've come to expect nothing less than tantalizing and amazing work from this author. I hope the readers will hear more from these two in the future. This is only the beginning of something wonderful and fulfilling.
Okay I'm gonna re-try this book at a latter date cause I usually love this series. I'm giving this 3.5 stars, the story was okay for Lane and Wilder but I couldn't get in with Wilder's character and his side of the storyline. I've loved the first two books of this series. Being a subject of ones stalking was a little amusing especially since it was in a coffee shop. Lane was a model for "Laces and Leashes" for sexy lingerie. He lusted over a hot tattooed guy he thought was straight. Wilder was straight but curious about Lane and see what'd happen between them.
Lane has a huge crush on Wilder, the sexy tattoo artist from aroubd the block. He would stalk the guy at a coffee shop. Eli, the Queen of Panties (yes his official title) got tired of the shy pining and took matters into his own hands to make the two meet. It all worked out though cuz the chemistry between Wilder and Lane are HOT. I love those two. In this book, Eli and Roman (Book 2) made appearances but Reece and Houston (Book 1) didn’t and i’m kind of sad about it :( But nonetheless, Wilder and Lane? Yum yum yum!

I loved this book. For some reason I love books with tattoo artists in them aaannnnd Wilder filled that sexy tattoo artist role perfectly. Lane and Wilder's relationship was one of my favorites of all the ones I have read. Lane is a sweet submissive while Wilder has that low key dominate thing going on for him. The epilogue seen was my favorite of the whole book when there doing the BDSM photo shoot I felt tingles from the raw passion they had for each other is incomparable to any other book I have read. JUST READ IT!!
I have no idea what I just read. The personal fantasy of a GNC or cross-dressing guy? The world revolves around Lane. He loves his job and enjoys wearing feminine things, but he's actually incredibly insecure even though he won't admit it. His love interest is a GFY hetero. Wilder experiences no earth-shattering moments as he adjusts to his new attraction. Why? Because it's all about Lane. Wilder is magically an expert at gay sex and mild-domming despite there being no set up in him being interested in anal or BDSM. The lingerie kink aspect isn't even fun. Lane only ever wears nightgowns.
