The A in the Opposite Dorm Always Thinks I’m Pretending to Be a B

Rate this book
As a Beta, Ning An’s goal in life was to work hard, make money and get rich. However, his own dear father changed his aspiration and made him become a military academy student. Initially, he wanted to spend his days lazing about. What? The first place in the year gets a generous scholarship? Then staying up to study and train my body is nothing at all! The first place scholarship is definitely mine!

The A in the opposite dorm: So you’re actually an O.

Ning An: Ah?

The A in the opposite dorm: I know. You’re risking it all to prove that an O is not inferior to an A.

Ning An: You know my ass. Laozi is a B.

The A in the opposite dorm: You need to correctly recognise your own gender ah.

Ning An: …… Teacher. Report. I’m afraid this person is stupid.

Interstellar. Military School. 2.5⭐
This ended so abruptly because apparently the author had some health issues.. That means, I can't even say what kind of potential it could've had. It started fairly well, but still.. it was just ok I guess..

LMAO. The author developed all the side ships, but left the main CP to languish in a desert zone. Though I've heard she got sick, which caused the ending to be written abruptly (hope she's feeling better now), still doesn't explain why she seems to hate her main characters and gave all the side ships her love.

pros: promising start, nice characters overall and cute side cp

cons: end was super rushed and felt incomplete (due to authors health issues apparently), extras don’t focus on the main couple so they don’t help with that either

I had high hopes for this story, and maybe that's why my disappointment with it feels so rough.

I enjoy reading Omegaverse stories, and seeing one with an unconventional pairing intrigued me, as well as the synopsis for it: a Beta mistaken for an Omega(MC), and an Alpha who pursues said Beta(ML).

The beginning is enjoyable enough, and the language is quick and to the point that I could forgive other parts that I wasn't too fond of/ignore some aspects that weren't to my liking; it's only after the first maybe 1/4 of the story that it all starts to go downhill.

I won't even touch on the extras about the Omega friend because, once again, with the whole story supposedly about the Alpha/Beta pairing, we got fed more by the SIDE pairing in the main story, with no r*pey moments included. The side stories were bad, and continued on with the weak Omega=forced by pervert Alpha

I don't know, I'm just so upset because there was so much potential, and I understand that the author had some health issues in the end causing the abrupt ass ending, but my sincere wish is for the author to recover and go back and edit this again.

Rating: 2.5/5- What a deceptive novel- like what even...?

This novel starts off really well but it ends abruptly and the characters that should be the ML and MC hardly ever spend time together, making their relationship rather unrealistic.

So many things are mentioned and introduced and then have absolutely no meaning in the novel? Such as the instructor with the sexual harassment past, or the mental training or the pheromone syndrome? Like what did any of those things even mean?

In my opinion, Derek and He Xin were the star couple, even though they were side characters. If you’re gonna read this story, then just read it for them. The MC was better suited to either of the omegas in the story because the ML had absolutely no high points. He’s such a poorly constructed character- even the instructor had more chemistry with the MC than him.

I’d give it a skip if you’re looking for something with substance, as this novel will only get your hopes up until you’re left sorely disappointed with an unfinished and unromantic lot of chapters along with sorely half baked characters.

BEWARE of SPOILER

It's an ABO novel with Ning An as the MC. He wanted to join the business world but, forced to enter the military world by his dad. He got accepted even though hoping to fail the medical exam by rubbing his body all over his Omega's sister so that he can have an Omega scent. On his way out to venture the campus ground with his roommate, he bumped into an Alpha who of course thought he was an Omega pretending to be a Beta. I mean, who told him to rub his sister's scent on him right. To make matters worst, Ning An looked just like the typical Omega. He was even described as more beautiful than any Omega his roommate ever laid eyes on. To be honest, I preferred his roommate's love story more than his. Oh, and it's a slow burn romance.

ABO book that relies on funny (and sometimes kinda frustrating) misunderstandings. both the main stories for the main and side CP ended ubruptly. the extra story did too actually. its fine though since it was probably caused by the authors health issues

La novela es muy.. SUPER Light. No hay dramas ni nada de nada... Solo malos entendidos.
