They call him The Great Oz, but for Ozzy, sometimes life isn’t so great...
Over twenty years ago, at seventeen, the Blood Fury’s colors were inked onto Ozzy’s back. But when the club imploded, he was one of the few who survived. Throughout his life, the Original has made mistakes. Too many to count. Most didn’t matter. Until the last one. The one he regrets. The one that left a mark. Once he realized he screwed up, it was too late. Now his urge to hit the road is strong, to go back to being a nomad tempting. Recent events proved he never should’ve come back since being a rolling stone’s in his blood. Because back then, he’d only joined the Blood Fury for one reason and one reason only... Revenge. Now, once again, nothing’s holding him in Manning Grove any longer. Until someone tied to his past appears. She makes him reevaluate his life choices, in both the past and for the future. However, will he learn from his latest mistake, or is he destined to make the same one all over again? Or will his choice be made for him once the truth is revealed?
Note: Blood & Bones: Ozzy is the ninth book in the Blood Fury MC series. As always, this book has no cheating, no cliffhanger, and has an HEA. It’s best to read this series in order. It’s also highly recommended to read Crash: A Dirty Angels MC/Blood Fury MC Crossover before Ozzy’s story.

I've wanted to know more about Ozzy for a while now. One of the originals, but he was a young one, so not that in with the club when it imploded. What we have seen of him is that he's a fun loving guy, one who was all about sexing up anyone with anyone. Turns out he was hiding a lot, shocker, I know.
I felt for Ozzy as a kid, what he found and how that changed his life, so horrible. I didn't think bad of him for the choice he mad, going after the person who caused him to lose what was so dear. Of course later that one act would come back to bit him in a big way.
I loved Shay from the start, loved the connection she had with Ozzy and how he was there to pump her up as she faced things she didn't want. Loved it more when Shay stayed and helped all the club businesses and her and Ozzy got to spend time together.
The one black spot for them was just who Shay's father was, was he an original? No one really seemed to know, even as it was easy for us readers to see what was coming our way.
I have to give it to Ozzy for telling Shay what he did when they figured out who Shay's father was. He knew it would destroy anything he had building with her, but he did it anyway. I really thought that was it for them. But with some advice from Lizzy, Ozzy went to see Shay, who had been doing her own thinking. Did she hate what Ozzy did, yes, did he have cause, yes, would she have done what he did in his place, no, but only because she is more of a kind soul, she would have involved the police. I was glad when she was able to work past things and give Ozzy another chance, they both deserved the happiness with each other.
2.5 stars for Ozzy. I think I'm the only one who didn't think Ozzy redeemed himself. Yes I quess he did a little but it was still there even to the last page hoping that Stay will go for threesomes. Felt no real connection between them most of the time they were together was in bed. Ended was rushed would have loved to see a little more into their relatinship further down as they got to know each other better. Guessed who her father was right away. By far least favorite book so far.
Wow, this book goes nowhere I expected. I’m still in shock that the author made such a huge decision with the characters’ backstories. It was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat to see how the impossible could be resolved into a happily ever after for Ozzy and Shay. I knew the secret before Ozzy did and, boy, did the author set this one up perfectly. I loved the characters -Ozzy and Shay seem like such polar opposites. But…..The dialogue is always impressive, the writing crisp and clear. The secondary characters are amazing and I loved Liz’s role. This one was a doozy, but so satisfying to see Ozzy find his soulmate and how love can overcome just about anything.
No cheating- the characters issues are way more complicated than that.
3.5 stars. I almost didn’t read this one because Ozzy was really unlikeable in Crash’s book. The author did a good job showing us Ozzy from his perspective and in the end, I was happy for him and Shay. I felt like the numerous references to Liz and his other sexual exploits took away from his current interest in Shay.
Also, I know these guys are in an MC, but they are often crude to the point where I feel repulsed and wonder why any female would want to hang out with them.
I have really enjoyed this series and Ozzy is definitely one of my favorites!! This series is really about broken, damaged people coming together and creating a family. Ozzy is one of the only Original Blood Fury members left alive. He had just patched in when the club imploded. His nomadic life led him all over the country but he came back to Manning Grove when he heard the Blood Fury was being resurrected. He know manages the hotel owned by the MC. Shay left Manning Grove after graduation and didn’t look back. Years of being the odd smart girl who was constantly bullied left her with scars. She decides to go home for her 20th class reunion to prove to herself she doesn’t need the approval of those people and to show them they didn’t break her. Little does she know that going home is going to change her life forever.
I don't know what to do with this author. Around 40% of the book when Ozzy was pressuring her for a three some I was done with this author. I didn't even care about the series with Cee. I was only going to read Cee's and hope I would figure out the added wussy women from St. Jame's side of that series. Anyway I flipped through the rest of this series to see if she was going to be a robot and do as he commanded and have that 3 some. Around 80% they didn't and I was like ok Ms. St. Jame's one more book but one the last pages we get this remark from Ozzy "Outside of that, anything else she consented to would be a perk." Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!! This author is so stupid. A perk really. He is nothing but a cheating where monger. Another couple bites the dust in divorce. I'm starting to wonder if this author is a swinger. And thinks its ok to cheat. Most woman don't want cheaters Ms. St. Jame's. Wake the hell up!!!! Done with this author.
Another great addition to this remarkable MC world. I enjoy getting to see these characters grow as they settle their demons while finding their happily ever after. I enjoyed Shay and Ozzy. I felt the pain of how they were similar due to circumstances. My issue with this book was the ending. It seemed rushed and ended pretty abruptly. I wanted more to come out about who Shay was and how that would ultimately affect the club itself. I wanted more than a month in the future and discussions of how this one act could be overcome in their relationship. Even though this wasn't my favorite, I enjoyed diving back into this world.
I wish there were more stars to give. Ozzy wrecked me in the best possible way. And Shay helped put both of us back together. I must admit Ozzy was a tough guy to like after the crossover book that came out just before this one. He has a possessive streak that may have ruined him and his club. He couldn't see the value of what he had until it was walking away. And believe me, he was redeemed in this one. Shay was his salvation. She changed him in so many ways that I can't even. And in return, he helped her to really see herself in a totally different way. There are things that happened in the past for them both that have shaped who they are today. Things that can't be changed. Things that true and pure love may be able to heal. I loved all the emotions that I felt, lust, love, hate, sadness, devestation, while reading Ozzy. I always have a roller coaster time while reading anything by Jeanne St James.
Another instalment of the Blood Fury MC. I was worried about this one because after reading 'Crash' I was really not a fan of Ozzy. He did a lot wrong in that book and he wasn't nice about it. I actually took a break between reading the two because I was just too mad at Ozzy. Jeanne has totally redeemed him in my eyes. I am now a true Ozzy fan, I was able to guess where the story was going to go quite early on and even knowing they always get their HEA I still worried through most of the book hoping Ozzy got to be happy finally. Very happy to say that Jeanne didn't disappoint. So if you've been reading this series this is another great story about a character who made mistakes but is still worthy of love and happiness.
Ozzy is struggling to get over the loss of Lizzy (Liz). He never thought she would leave him, not that he ever thought to claim her. He doesn't want that. He doesn't want another thing to tie him down. As his uneasiness continues he considers packing up and going nomad again. He did it after the Fury imploded the first time and wasn't sure why he came back. Maybe things will be better if he just moves on.
Shay has returned to Manning Grove for her high school reunion. She doesn't really want to be there, she wasn't liked in high school, she didn't enjoy it not even one single day. But she's a different person now, she's not the same skinny, nerdy, shy girl. It's time to push herself out of the box she's had herself locked in and become a better person.
When Shay walks into the Grove Inn, Ozzy is stunned. Not since Lizzy has someone woken the sleeping beast inside him. He is completely taken by the beauty standing before him. Shay's not sure what to make of the dishevelled looking man behind the front desk but despite that she finds herself spending time talking with him and enjoying it.
Ozzy takes Shay out and the chemistry between the two sizzles and bubbles under the surface and when the night ends with a hot kiss the promise of what's to come lingers. After a hot date, Ozzy realises he doesn't want Shay to go yet, so with her business of web design he gets Trip to hire her to get the MC's business into the 21st century.
Shay is excited to work with the MC and stay to be with Ozzy for a little longer, nothing is calling her home to Boston and Ozzy is a definite icing on the cake for the work she is doing. While she works Ozzy tries to find Shay answers about her father and Ozzy relives memories from the past with the original Fury. When the truth comes out about Shay's dad and a secret Ozzy has kept from the entire Fury brotherhood comes into play it may be more than Shay can handle.
Will Ozzy lose another woman he cares about, no not just cares about but loves?
wow wow wow! I'm not going to lie I was extremely disappointed with Ozzy after the last book. He truly redeemed himself in this one. Him and Shay were perfect together. She really connected with him and showed his true self. Also that twist in the end I didn't see coming made this book all the better. As per usual with this author she nailed it!!
Others say Oz needed savin’??? I just thought he was a biker…former OG 1%er…he was just waitin’ on his one. 😍
This is the type of MC book that has me coming back again and again for bikers and MC romance. Ozzy or the Great Oz is old school biker: former 1%er, decades as a nomad, patched as a teenager…all things associated from the drugs, sex (“I’ll try anything once” sex), and bids. But…and this is a huge, but, he wants his brotherhood more than he wants his freedom on the road. Torn between his nomadic life and the stability and curiosity of what Trip wanted to build…Ozzy returned to the Blood Fury as only 1 of 2 Originals. He and Dutch are hilarious (only 15 years apart for these two guys) and both are harden rough and tumbled bikers. But knowing what we know from Crash (previous book in crossover between two series)…Ozzy is restless. Enter Shay. A great book with twists and turns and most of all: Ozzy’s come to Jesus moment as he finally at 40 learns to let someone in. And dang girl…did you get in!!!
Ozzy being an Original, I was expecting his past that brought him to the Fury to be filled with such anguish.
At the tender age of 15, Ozzy's mother was murdered by a Fury Original named Ham. Not for anything she did, but because she was home when order were sent down to hurt Fender, her boyfriend at the time. Considering, Ham was supposed to keep Fender alive. His mothers death was in vain. He vowed to get revenge.
Lying about his age, he became a prospect at 17 and was patched and inked by 18. Asking the right questions at the right time, he discovered who carried out the needless hit on his mother. With the club going to he'll in a hand basket and brother turning on brother, he had the perfect cover to avenge his mothers wrongful death. He put Ham to ground.
Fast forward many year later and Trip has resurrected the fury and they are looking for Original's and Ozzy heeded the call.
At him now with the new Fury, Ozzy had Elizabeth (Lizzy/Liz/Sunny) in his bed for two years and never claimed her. She moved on to be with Clutch. It's not until Shay, checks into TBE hotel for a class reunion does he understand why her never claimed Lizzy. Because Shey was meant to be his.
Shey and Ozzy have a lot in common. Both lost their ex's, both lost their parents, neither has any other family. Unfortunately, that's not alk they have in common. Shey is determined to find out why her father disappeared year ago when the fury exploded.
On the search to figure out what happened to her father with Ozzy's help... Ozzy learns the terrifying truth. Shey's father is the same Fury brother that murdered his mother and Ozzy acted out his revenge on.
The two split until Shey gets her head out if her ass and realizes, had her father not murdered Ozzy's mother his dumb ass would still be alive. Also, how can she hold a grudge against Ozzy for her fathers death, when he has no ill will towards her for her fathers killing his mother.
Unfortunately, the identity of who's Shey father was easily plucked from the first few chapters. But this is duck a great series, it's the little details between the pages that keeps the reader reading. That includes myself.

Have been impatiently waiting for the book since Crashs book came out 😁. I think anyone who has been current on this series has. We all wanted to know what becomes of Ozzy after Liz ups and leaves with Crash...a member of The Dirty Angels..ally to The Blood Fury. If you have not read Crashs book you will need to..to know what's happening in this book. Unlike some people who were upset with Oz in the last book and didn't see how he could redeem himself...I loved him and felt sorry for him when Liz left..although I knew she was meant to be with Crash. It was a life lesson that Oz needed to learn...and it made him a better man when his soulmate ( which he didn't believe in before Shay) would show up. I LOVED how wonderful Ozzy was with Shay...helping build up her self esteem, encouraging her to be bold, just being her rock when they were barely acquaintances. The major twist that could cause a major problem in a happily ever after had me like 🤯😭. But to see what lengths Ozzy would go for Shay melted my heart. That's how you know it's love..when your willing to.do for that 1 person that you never would have even considered doing for anyone else. Out of ALL the MC characters that I have read...this is the FIRST time I have read where the lead male is willing to walk away from everything...The Club, Brotherhood, only family he's known for a woman. So does he give up everything for his Sweetheart, does she become the 2nd woman to leave him broken hearted, or do they find a way to fight against all odds to be together. Such a great book, can't wait for the next book in the series.
Blood & Bones: Ozzy Blood Fury MC, Book 9 By: Jeanne St. James Narrated by: Ava Lucas, Noah B. Perez
So, book 9 and the series is still so good I can't get enough! That is the magic of Jeanne St James and her fabulous flare for picking the best narrators. Ozzy is a difficult character, A horrible childhood, he is seeking revenge for the murder of his mother. But what does he find? He now lives for the club, nursing his heart after Liz left and taking in the sweet butts to suffice his needs. Not a happy man. That is until Shay. Walking into a room, she stir something in this dark man. She is in search of answers in Manning Grove and may not be prepared for what she finds out. St James has so much packed into this book, it's one of my favorites of this series. Some history of the original Blood Fury sheds light on Ozzy, some humor with Dutch that had me laughing out loud, and a twist I know I didn't see coming! It's a fantastic listen, making my heart hurt and putting it all back together. Bravo!!! Loved this one!
And to bring it alive and make this like a movie in my mind is the talents of Ava Lucas and Noah B Perez. Lucas is a favorite of mine, and her ability to adapt to each personality of these strong women is phenomenal. She finds the essence of each one, creates the temperament and gives it to us. Love her take on Shay! Noah B Perez could not have been better cast. Growlie, cranky, teddy bear, this man knows Ozzy and makes him real. He lets us in and makes us feel his pain and passion. This is an amazing listen!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book since Ozzy seemed like such a b@stard in the past books. Especially his relationship with Lizzy. But my gosh—- I adored him in this book. We saw a side of him with Shay that I never would have believed even existed. He was so sweet, and gentle with her from the minute he meets her.
I loved Shay and I REALLY loved that she was the polar opposite of Lizzy. I loved that Ozzy felt things with her that he never felt for anyone else. He seemed to recognize almost immediately that she was different. I loved their story and how it evolved. I also loved the banter between him and all his club brothers-it was hilarious.
The twist towards the end was utterly gut wrenching when he had to tell Shay. My heart broke more for him than it did for her. Especially when he goes to her and pours his heart out. I was sobbing. Mostly for him because he was in such pain. I never knew Ozzy was capable of feeling so much. I was sad for her too but I just wanted her forgive him because after everything that he and they had been through, I just wanted him to find happiness. Anyway, they work towards their HEA. Even though it wasn’t immediate, it was still very sweet and emotional. I truly loved them together.
I do want to add something after reading some other reviews… I agree that Ozzy still hoping that Shay will do a threesome with him was a big turnoff. Especially after everything that they had been through. He said he would never share her, but he expects her to share him? I still loved the book though. I just didn’t like that he said giving up threesomes was a sacrifice.

Again, when I think that Jeanne St. James has reached the top, she climbs that mountain even further, and brings us an incredible story filled with such raw and gripping emotion. When you have suffered through such emotional trauma as a child and feel that you are incapable of loving someone, when that right person comes along and those emotions that you never experienced before come to a head and you are absolutely overcome with such emotions that you never thought you could feel in your lifetime, then you know that you have finally found someone worth sharing your life with. Ozzy is a tortured and tormented soul who is not looking for any type of commitment. He has always been out to have a little fun. He never expected to feel such a connection to anyone, let alone a stranger who comes into town for a few days. Watching him fall and realize that he does deserve happiness was well worth the wait! This book has it all – great chemistry, witty banter, twists and turns that will leave you shaking your head, and a brotherhood that is there through thick and thin. Thank you Jeanne St. James for giving us Manning Grove, a place where we all wish we could spend a little time, and the Blood Fury who prove that once again that even though you may not be related by blood, you will always be a brother!!
This is a kinda complex storyline that goes in a circle and it all circles around Ham... It starts with him letting his daughter down by disappearing when she's a teen, but before that he had secrets including a completely separate life he hid... Wish they had answered if he had an Ol' Lady too. Ham kills a mother and leaves her for her teenaged son to find along with her biker boyfriend who was his target he tortured but left alive.... The teen boy kills the biker boyfriend and takes the info the biker told him about the one who killed his mom to seek his own revenge... He joins the Biker club as a prospect and once he is made a member he find out who actually killed his mom... But before he can kill Ham the Blood di Fury implodes and he uses the chaos to kill him.... Then several decades later he finds out the woman he has finally fallen in love with is Ham's secret daughter no one knew about. He tells her the truth but she is hurt and leaves... But eventually he convinced her to give him a chance... She decides she loves him ... Its a good story... But its got less of the excitement and adventure of some of the other stories. In some ways its a bit of a treasure hunt trying to find her dad... Until that's not such a good thing... I was hoping it had been Beans since he just disappeared.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this latest instalment in the BFMC series but I am blown away. Ozzy has not been one of my favorites, most especially so after the events in the previous book, Crash. He’s been an unapologetic selfish manwhore jerk from the series beginning with no signs of regret….until Crash & his Sunny ride off in the sunset together.
Shay is a lovely woman who I identify with in so many ways down deep into my being. She was so beautifully written. You just keep rooting for her to win through the whole book.
I loved that this book is written about 2 seasoned people rather than a younger couple. Great reminder that it is never too late. I’d love a surprise baby in a future book for these 2 because I think everyone would love the ensuing panic scene from the Great & Powerful Oz.
I genuinely laughed in so many parts of this book from baby Dyna’s shirt to near the end with mention of muscle creams and not wanting to strain muscles. Totally ugly cried in a lot of parts too. Another amazing and beautifully crafted book from Ms. St. James!!!! And looking forward to the next, especially after that peek at the end of the book.
HOLY SMOKES!! Y’all this book! It was everything. To say I love the wonderful biker world that Jeanne St. James has created is an understatement. I am really enjoying the turns the last few books have taken with the Shirley drama being on ice. Ozzy’s book hit me in the feels. He was so bent about losing Liz, and then in comes Shay. She was the breathe of fresh air he didn’t know he needed. The way he helped Shay come out of her shell was the sweetest thing! Then knew there was going to be a bombshell and was it ever! The way Ozzy fell for Shay and the way he got his closure with Liz was so heartwarming. The end though when he got her back, I cried. And on a side note. I laughed out loud so many times during this book. The banter between the guys is so damn funny. Dutch and the boys at the garage. Those scenes were priceless and just another reason I love these books. The monologues are great, especially Ozzy’s because I swear that’s how a dudes mind works. Jeanne St. James I bow to you! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo. This was a damn fine book and I can’t wait for Dodge. I don’t want the BFMC world to end. It needs to go on forever and please can we have another crossover with DAMC!!
I need to start this review with a question that I have not been able to answer. How??? How am I now in love with Ozzy, The Great Oz? It’s Jeanne St. James’s fault she created him and now everything I thought I felt for him has changed 🤦🏾♀️. I mean he was a serious jerk in Crash and although what he said wasn’t right it wasn’t necessarily wrong either, but his actions had me hating him so going into this book I pitied the woman he ended up with. Shay was adorable in her awkward way. Childhood bullying caused her to pull herself into a shell and even in her thirties she still needed assurance and support and Ozzy turned out to be the perfect one for the job. It was at this point that I could sense the climatic event slowly approaching and man when it hit it rocked me even though looking back the signs were all there. The author left just enough suspense to keep me enthralled while throwing in hot sex and beautiful dialogue to get me turning the pages. I can admit this is one of my favorite books in this series and I’m still slightly baffled by this 😂
I definitely recommend this book, but you should read Crash first to understand all that we have gone through with The Great Oz. Dodge is up next and I need to know how the sexy biker came to be!
I have been dying for Ozzy's book ever since Jeanne imagend him up, and she didn't disappoint.
Ozzy and Shay's chemistry is hot as hell.
Ozzy is an OG of the BFMC and has a deep dark secret, and that secret is about to bite him in the arse.
Ozzy has lived his adulthood hiding what he did, but Trips the new prez and Ozzy is intrigued to see where it goes. He is now the manager of the motel and has Liz warming his bed life couldn't be better.... until suddenly Liz was no longer his. Wanting to get over the clubs old Sweetbutt, he sets his sites on the cute woman that just booked in for the Manning Grove reunion.
Shay is back in the one place that that held memories; some good like memories of her family, and some bad like being the bullied gawky nerd and the hardest memory loosing her dad... her dad just simply disappeared with no trace. Booking in her eyes locked on the huge man behind the desk, and found her self captivated. Maybe she could could a pretend to be bold and not self conscious and have little fun whilst visiting home.
Until the past rears it's ugly head. Can Shay for give Ozzy... Will Ozzy win thw girl that ever meant the world to him?

Now I see why Jeanne recommended the Crash Crossover be read first! There we saw Ozzy on his high horse ruling over his 'sweet butt.' Now we see his life of misery doing without her. Until he comes down awakened by an alarm at the front desk of the motel; somebody wants to register. She's a beauty, too, even if she's not blonde and too thin. When he can't see to hunt and peck the right keys, she invites herself behind the desk saying she's an expert, and registers herself. Ozzy gets the low down on her though: she is in Manning Grove for her twentieth class reunion and she is a website developer and he is sitting out front waiting for her when she leaves her reunion early. He works hard to woo her and get her working for the MC to develop a presence on the web for all their businesses. He is also helping her find out what happened to her father who disappeared when the original club broke up. Makes a funny but sad story with all the brotherhood and the ol' ladies as Shay is introduced to everyone! Don't miss reading this tear-jerker!
I've loved the stories of each man in the Blood Fury but Ozzy created his own special place. He was still dealing with the loss of Liz and accepting that she had moved on when Shay came into his life. She was a guest at the hotel and had returned to Manning Grove for a high school reunion. She was beautiful and easy to talk to but hid her smiles. She was a geek in school and had been bullied and made to feel nonexistent. Even though years had passed and she was completely different a part of her was still that child. Ozzy was drawn to her and the more they talked the more they were attracted to each other. Eventually they end up in bed and Ozzy finds he wants to keep her there and with him. The problem is her father disappeared when she was 16 and she's been trying to find out what happened to him. Ozzy is trying to help her and trying to determine if he was part of the original members of the Blood Fury. The twist that fate throws at them almost destroys them but in the end their love proves to be stronger. I couldn't stop reading.
What a exceptional story! A fantastic ride that you will not want to get off. I having been looking forward to Ozzy's story and this went beyond my expectations. You hope he finds his peace because he seems so lost. Ozzy will need to find the perfect person to match that personality of his. And what do you think happens when he least expects it. This was heartwarming and at times heart-wrenching. The mystery and suspense will have you anticipating what will happening next. You add in a few twists and turns and just you can't stop reading. Ozzy's history will send you in a tailspin. I love how the story came together and all your questions get answered. I thought Shade was my favorite of this series but Ozzy has moved to the top. I just can't get enough of Jeanne's books. They have everything you would want in a story plus more. ENJOY! I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I wasn't sure I was going to like Ozzy much after some of his recent behavior but I knew that hesitancy wouldn't last. Jeanne St James will make you fall in love with her heroes even when you want to smack them upside the head on occasion. Ozzy is in that category. When he meets Shay, he immediately starts to go down the path of previous Fury members and he doesn't even realize it. Shay is a little closed off but right from the start there is something about Ozzy that draws her in. She trusts him in a way she hasn't anyone before and so quickly too. I loved how they clicked together even when they couldn't have been more opposite. So incredibly moving and well written, overflowing with passion, I didn't want their story to end. I especially didn't with us growing closer to the end of the Blood Fury series. I don't want to say goodbye to these characters, ever. All the stars for Shay and Ozzy!
This is another simply incredibly entry in what I consider, a not to be missed series. Of course, I love this series for its grittiness, action and intensity but if I'm completely honest, it is the rich emotions and strong relationships between friends and family that really draw me back to it again and again. It was so easy to get caught up in this book. The writing in solid and the storyline gripping. I liked Ozzy. While I'm no biker or even a biker babe, I could really relate to his feelings and that helped me form a strong connection with him that had me fiercely invested in the outcome of this book. This book had the perfect blend of romance, thrills, feels and swoon to have me staying up way later than I should have and I don't have a single regret. I am independently posting an impartial review.
Ok, I’ve got to admit I love it when I’m right and man was I right! I just knew that Ozzy was going to be an exceptional book and I was right…so glad. I would have been really disappointed if the book sucked…luckily it didn’t! There’s just something about Ozzy that has appealed to me in all the previous books even when he’s being a jerk, and he can seriously be quite a jerk. In this story we finally get to see the man he really is. Flawed and a bit jaded but he is also loving and willing to do anything for the right woman…luckily for us we get to see that happen. This book is full of humor…”herding stray cats” and plenty of “old man” cracks…love it! It’s also sexy and sweet and heart wrenching…Ms. St. James tore me up with the prologue…once again. Was Ozzy worth the wait? Oh yeah, the old man was totally worth waiting for!
After finishing Crash’s book I must admit I wasn’t overly eager to read a book featuring Ozzy as the main character. But once again Jeanne has shown me why I love her stories so much. Not that I could describe Ozzy as endearing but his story did shine him in a whole different light to me. I loved Shay for him. Two totally opposite people who are just drawn to one another. Now it wouldn’t be a typical Jeanne St James MC novel without some twists and turns. And boy she didn’t disappoint with this one. There were plenty of times I thought I knew where the storyline was heading but then another twist or twenty was thrown into the mix and it just got to the point where all I could do was hold on and ho for the ride. Thrilling reading for sure. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Ozzy is one of the original Blood Fury members and he's made his share of mistakes over the years but there is one that still hurts and I was so hoping he would find true love to heal the hurt. Shay is in town for her 20th reunion when she meets Ozzy and their lives will never be the same again. This is a heartbreakingly beautiful addition to the Blood Fury MC series and I loved it. This is one of those books that once you start reading you better be prepared to read until the last page. It is a pull at your heartstrings emotional read about two people who are total opposites but they are so perfect for each other. They so deserved to get a happily ever after and I was cheering them on to get it. Blood & Bones Ozzy is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Highly recommend reading Crash from Down & Dirty before reading this book. Ozzy, still reeling from Liz having fallen in love with Crash and leaving him, battles ghosts from his past, his wanderlust, devotion to his MC family and the latest focus of ardor, Shay. Shay returns as a swan from her ugly duckling past to attend her school reunion to battle ghosts of her own. Together they have to discover the strength of their love for each other.
It was difficult to feel a great amount of empathy for Ozzy in the beginning, but his honesty and genuine personality brought out by St James's writing won me over well before the end of the book. Shay's innocence and openness makes her the only person to completely win Ozzy heart. She doesn't deserve what happened to her in the past, but really shows her strength of character and the only one who can hold their own with Ozzy forever.
