I enjoyed reading this book. Guess we all want to believe Diana found true love in her life. Maybe in the idea of a dark and handsome doctor there lingers the long ago Arabian Nights theme? Not sure what makes it so easy to buy into this romance except Kahn certainly could not have more different than Charles who certainly wound up being "the villain of the piece." Another reason this romance is so easy to buy into is watching the transformation in Diana that occurred during that vulnerable time as a public figure and as a woman. Diana had come into her own. Still, no one saved the princess from her fate in the arms of Dodi Fayed and that's why this fairy tale forever remains without its happy ending. It was a play cut short after only two acts. One can only dream of what might have been.

Once started on this book I could hardly put it down. It is an insight into the adult life of a beautiful (yet very insecure and tormented) woman who simply wanted to love and be loved in return. We will never know where life would have taken Diana, whether with James Hewitt or Hasnat Khan or with neither lover. Fate dealt Diana, her two sons and those who loved her, a terrible and cruel ending. We can only ask, “What if.....”

The only thing wrong with this book is it is too short as I didn't want it to end.

Fascinating book. It gives you a more detailed last months and how much she loved Hasnat Kahn.
Very interesting read.

Overall very interesting. The book showed a different side of Diana which was not clearly portrayed through the media during her life. It also talked about who she was a person, bringing her to a more "human-level" rather than an elite princess and celebrity.

I seen the movie first, then read the book which had so much more detail. I loved it.
