Wow this book was sizzling and captivating. I devoured the entire book in 5 hours.Nik and Ciara's chemistry was off the charts!! I also loved the side characters.I do hope though that we get a book on Harley. Scarlett Avery is a very talented writer you won't be disappointed with this story.
Throw your panties away. They are going to be soaked. Scatlatt Avery burn the underwear right off of you!
Can't wait to read their 2nd book. Ciara and Nikolaj are like two meteors colliding. A fierce love story where the heroine has had her heart broken long ago and sworen to never allow another man to destroy her life. Nik breaks all the rules
Dnf on page 40. Writing style was not my vibe. Unlikeable characters. Cringy dialogue. And of course the quickest way to make me dnf a book: the female lead saying that she’s "not like other women". I’m rolling my eyes so hard right now.
These are actually terrible. Basic spelling errors, grammatical errors, clearly wasn't proof read. Poor storytelling, contrived unlikeable characters. No plot, the sex becomes utterly repetitive and boring. Their is real racist undertones towards China and Asian people. I've now noticed it in 2 books. I will not be finishing this and I will not ever read anything by this writer again. I use writer and not author because this is clearly a novice who would never be published for this drivel outside of self-publishing.
My overall rating is 4.5 for books 1-5 is detailed on book 5's review. I read them as the box set and then the wedding story separately. They should have remained one book, not broken out. Seems like they were broken out to just get more money for the books 🤷🏼♀️
I don't even know how to review this book. Let's try this..
FIRST: go read this book. like seriously do it. it's so good. so much alpha from both Nikolaj and Ciara it is just so good.🤤 SECOND: BRITISH ACCENT...need I say more? I am a SUCKER for any type of British in a MC. Not only does he have the sexiest accent in the world, he has the mannerisms and thinks like a Brit and if you don't know whether this is a good or bad thing IT IS GOOD. LIKE SO PERFECT. THIRD: The fact that this starts as "love at first sight" with two characters who DON'T do relationships is just my faaaaavorite thing. The soulmates trope is by far my favorite in any book and SA does it so well in this book. And the fact that Nikolaj did not let Ciara forget him or ignore him and was always there when she was in crisis was just to die for....exactly why I started this with it being my kryptonite. FOUR: there are so many layers to these characters and this book. SO much detail, backstory, twists, you would think it would be too much or overwhelming but SA does a great job of making everything flow and make sense. I am so here for all the details because a lot of books skimp on the details but it makes these characters shine as they should. FIVE: the fact that this book ended perfectly BUT SA gives us ANOTHER FULL LENGTH book just about their wedding is even more a reason to read this book. Because wedding factor is so amazing and I love how much backstory SA gave these characters.
Ok. I think I'm done. I could literally make a never ending list about why I love this book but I will stop. Go read this book. AND the next one, Wedding Factor. Seriously you will fall in love with these characters and the things they go through are so relatable it's just UGHHHH so good.
I don't always leave theme/trope ratings because everyone has a different level but I couldn't leave without another reason for you to read the book so here you go.
Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Romance: 💖💖💖💖 Strangers-to-Lovers: 💏💏💏 Book overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed getting to know Ciara & Nik. They certainly have chemistry!! (That was an understatement... I felt the heat through my Kindle!) Some of the angst was a little over the top and some was rushed through... I understood a little more once I read all the bonus scenes... I feel when they were removed, they were chopped out without adding enough summary in the published book to keep the flow and progression of particular relationships and they affected Ciara and Nik. Considering this was a re-release, more polish could have been applied to editing of not just the story, but grammar and syntax. I definitely appreciate the generosity of the author with the bonus scenes. They really are a must before going on to the fabulous sequel.
This author consistently writes the best filthy talk I've ever read! I've only recently discovered her, so I haven't read every book in her collection (yet). But every book I've read has delivered the dirty talk in spades. I look forward to reading the rest of her books.
If you don't almost spontaneously combust while reading Nikolaj, I am not sure what will. Nik and Ciara have to be two of the hottest characters I've ever run across. I loved their whole relationship journey, pitfalls and all. Fantastic romance!
Ohh gosh this book was AMAZING! I love, love, loved it! It has everything in it! So hot, intriguing, drama. Ci and Nik are a perfect match. I absolutely love the chase! A fantastic read!
This book was fantastic. All I’ve done all day was read this story. I love this writers mind. She pulls you into these stories. I didn’t want them to end. Well on to the next one
These stories are scorching hot with some seriously complicated emotional situations. There were never a full moment. I couldn't put it down. On to the next book now.
Nikolaj and Ciara's story was full of bumps and bruises. Their story wasn't an easy one, but it was well worth the read. I highly recommend reading this book and the entire series.
This man was unrelenting in his pursuit of Ciara when he realized almost immediately that he wanted her. If you’re into very raunchy things this book is definitely for you.
This was a little different to the rest as I knew there was a sequel. However the character building and story are both up to Scarletts usual high caliber.
I’m not a prude by any means, but I couldn’t get past Chapter 6. This book was just too raunchy for my taste. Everything was centered around sex and no real plot. I couldn’t stand the FMC and her friend. To me, they were crass and annoying. I just didn’t care anymore.
Clara and Nik meet in a Toronto bar, have a passionate weekend before returning to their lives. Nik pursues her, however, and 400 of the 600 page story consists of their sexual affair. Remaining pages have an exciting, emotional story of their families, their developing love, and the usual mean people trying to ruin their lives!
The book wasn’t that bad really. What spoiled it for me was that after professing undying love, she never gave the guy the chance to explain what happened instead going off and hiding and crying for six weeks. Turned me off for the rest of the book..
