The Aftermath
Brandi gets news she never thought she’d hear, causing her to retreat into her memories…
John and Brandi have been together for what feels like forever—142 years to be exact (although they have known each other for 164 years). The two of them have shared a lifetime of experiences, both good and bad. John, a Navy SEAL Commander, lives to serve and protect, but looks forward to the day he can retire and watch his children grow up.
When disaster strikes, John is sent overseas to seek out survivors of a bombing, and returns home a changed man. Despite Brandi’s pleas for John to open up to her about the devastation he experienced while in London, he becomes distant and seeks solace outside the home … and away from her.
Sometimes true love doesn’t conquer all. When all seems lost and looks bleak, will she be able to survive the aftermath?
