Functional Core Training

Rate this book
Core training is a popular fitness term but what does it really mean?
Most traditional ab exercises have you lying on the ground using only 1 or 2 muscles at a time. Strength training for your core muscles should not only help them to look amazing, but should prepare them to move your body in multiple directions at a variety of different speeds. Functional Core training will not only help you to look your best but will teach you the exercises that can prepare your muscles for the forces they will experience while you are enjoying your favorite activities. Many injuries result from muscles not being able to control the forces that enter the body, you will learn exercises to strengthen your body from the core on out so your muscles can be prepared for anything. In short, you will learn how to exercise so that can look, feel and perform your best! Based on peer-reviewed research published by top exercise scientists, Functional Core Training will teach you how specific core muscles function and, most importantly, how you can design workout programs that will work for you!

I really enjoyed how this book was laid out. It had easy to understand explanations. I like how it breaks down different core exercises into levels.
