Forgiveness was not an option.

Cast aside within her own pack, a young werewolf’s howl is silenced by the crushing weight and wills of the wolves who would see her suffer. After Halima is falsely accused of murder within the Zircon Moon pack, her life crumbles into the ash of slavery, cruelty, and abuse. It is only after the true strength of a wolf is found within can she ever hope to escape the horrors of her past and move forward.

After years of struggle and healing, Halima the survivor finds herself once again at odds with the former pack who once marked her death. An alliance is sought between her one-time captors and the family she’s found in the Garnet Moon pack. The idea of growing peace where poison lies is of little promise to the woman now known as Kiya. As the rising din of resentment begins to overwhelm her, Kiya finds herself with a single choice. In order for her festering wounds to truly heal, she must actually face her past before it devours Kiya like it did Halima. In the growing shadows, a path to forgiveness seems to wash in and out. For, after all, there is no denying the power of the full moon--and for Kiya perhaps the call of darkness may prove to be just as unyielding…

It started off really strong with loads of intense scenes but it tailed off towards the middle.

My biggest problem with this book is the way the MC is forced to forgive her abuser cos of some mate bond. Neron treated her like shit, and she was only 17. For her to be cast back into that abusive environment so the author can peddle a happily ever after is unbelievably fucked up. She should have fallen for someone else, for all her talk of wanting to fall in love with someone and not be compelled by the bond and yet she falls for the same man who abused her because of the damn bond.

Her family are just as bad. They treated her like shit and when she returns it’s all “baby girl we’re sorry” fuck no. You had your chance and instead of going against the Alpha’s orders (like the Gammas) they took part in the abuse! The least they could have done is left her alone if they were too cowardly to defy their narcissistic leader but they actually took part in the abuse.

I was skeptical of buying this book. It's an unknown Indie author, the book has a sample on a pay by chapter site, and it was $20 hard copy. I always say to myself I would support an author that would branch out and sell hard copies, so I bit the bullet and ordered this one, and quite frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's bigger than I was anticipating, and I feel like it would be worth buying, even though I didn't finish reading it. I'm hoping this review will help others decide to buy or not, because I think a few more would buy this if I can show what it's worth. Click on the Amazon link, and pictures will hopefully be available in the reviews if Amazon can figure out their issues.
Untouchable: Moonlight Avatar Series (Book 1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1737228203/...

It contains 42 chapters, 466 pages, and the words are a reasonable size. The editing isn't horrible. There're only a handful of errors, though it could stand another walk-through for corrections. There were a few errors that caused some confusion, pulling me out of the story to try and determine what was intended. It was like Solaria's typing was too fast to catch all the words her mind was thinking and/or auto-correct took a bit of play. It probably took a half star bringing the 5 star down to 4.5.

What really took a star from my rating was the lack of flow. The basic storyline was decent, until it came time to reconcile Halima's past. The absolutely worst part was the heat, like the entire book there was no mention of wolves coming into heat, but BAM! All of a sudden there is one that everyone except Halima knows about. Add into the The context started becoming sporadic around Halima's return, introducing misplaced hardships, background villains, and rando characters like the punk rock group appearing half-way through during an unplanned mall trip, but another quarter of the book in, there weren't any more mention of them. This is when I stopped reading, just FYI. It felt like a good stopping point like a commercial break. I read for the action, the build up, the love, the character growth, the "unlimited power" nonsense I have an aversion to. Once that hits, I get bored, though up to now, I didn't want to stop reading. Nothing against the author. She does very well to build the scene and characters; I just can't see the point in reading any more. I did skip to the end, but I'm not saying anything else. Solaria's pace doesn't change. If you're here because you saw the ad on FB, I hope you will give this a go.

Brilliant use of fantasy in describing cPTSD, living with trauma, the decisions a victim has to make all the time, and the way they view the world in that context.
The author has a very expansive English vocabulary and she's not afraid to use it :)
It's a series I can barely put down, between the very detailed descriptions, the alert scenes when in action, the feelings that are easy to understand from different characters' POVs, and the fantasy world they are all part of.

I really liked this book. I'm writing this review sometime after I completed the novel but it was one I began reading on an app and got way too annoyed with the chapter unlocking and bought a paperback so I could devour it quicker. It's a slowburn plotline and this is only book 1. I loved the characters and the fact that our FMC didn't immediately forgive those who wronged her and she went to therapy. Enemies to lovers (vibes), found family. There was a small animal, an owl, that became a part of the story that didn't make much sense, but helped the FMC.

- There's one thing in this novel, for me, does not work in a lot of books but I didn't totally hate in this authors writing style was when the POV that's speaking states along the lines of "my deep blue eyes stared into his green orbs". It wasn't bad here, but most of the time when this line is written from a first person POV, I can't help but think "I literally never think about my eye color when I look at something, why is this being brought up every time the POV speaker stares at someone and sometimes somethings" -

I loved this book.
A young woman who is tortured, treated like a slave, & blamed for the death of her packs Luna and her daughter. Yet at the time, she was only a child (8 or 9 years old) and has been cut off from her family and punished until she turned 18.
She finally finds her mate, but he doesn't want her. He blames her for the death of his mother and baby sister. So she is rejected and about to be taken out when someone stops him and gives her time to escape. Unfortunately, it's no use as she falls from a high cliff that not even a wolf like her could survive.

She's given a second chance and finds a family that accepts her as is and helps her begin to heal but when her old pack asks for their help she knows it's time to face the people that condemned her.
Once face to face, nobody recognized her at first except for the boy who gave her the time she needed to escape. He tells her how hard his parents have worked to prove her innocence & they've done just that ... she's been exonerated for the past three years.
When she returns to her pack & her "family" sees how beautiful and strong she is, they beg forgiveness. Her past mate wants her back.
So much happens, but I'll have to wait for Book 2 to see how the rest plays out!
I adore our FMC and her new found family.
She's a special wolf who many want. Now, it's time to claim her power and protect those who need it.

The beginning of this book pulled me in. It was written well enough and created a story that caught my interest. Unfortunately, it quickly went downhill. For me, personally, it felt like author had nursed the beginning of this book for a long time, polishing it, carefully thinking over what she wanted to show the reader and put her heart in. However, after initial part was done, author started to rush the story and it felt very raw, unpolished and not worked on. Like author knew where she wanted to take the story, but had no patience to work on it the same as she did initial part. And so the story became cringy. Writing became sloppy, reasoning disappeared and the book started to feel like a trash read more and more. Something that had the potential to become iconic, fizzled out. And I'm so dissapointed by it. Maybe its the current market putting the pressure to quickly produce or the latest overall trend of publishing works that are basically drafts, I don't know. It started good, but couldn't keep up the same quality through the book. Hence my unflattering rating. I'm sorry, but its not good.

Felt like a waste of time. I already knew despite all the abuse the author would somehow bend over backwards jumping through hoops to to put the victim back with her abuser. Especially since she asked not to get a second chance late I knew instantly she’d crawl her way back to the man that almost murdered her. Absolutely pathetic. For someone that studied psychology it’s very f*cked up. Nothing wrong with forgive and forget but making her get back with the abusive pack and the abusive mate was disgusting. Felt gaslighted and groomed to feel it was ok because we watched their “progress”. This book justifies abuse. Talks alot about them being monsters only to backtrack and forgive them and show the human dude to them for us to actually care for the abusers. Wtf is wrong with you people rating this a** of a book 5 stars?

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Trash. Complete trash book. I won’t lie the book hooked me at the beginning but then it took a turn for the worst. The MC is weak, after all she been through you would’ve thought she became more thick skinned or a kicka** female lead or something but no she still as weak as ever. Not only does the author seem to be supporting abuse and trauma. (Making it seem as if it can be fix with a flick of a finger.) The MC was put back into that toxic environment and was expected to accept her fate and revolting mate. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I only stayed as long as I did to see if she would get another chance mate but :/ Disappointing read I wasted time and money on a dead trash book.

Such a strong beginning

The beginning of the book really drew me in. I'd say the first half of the book was excellent. Good character and plot development. But then it felt like the author got bored of her own writing and just wanted to end it. I'd really love to see this book rewritten with a good editor because I think it could be very good.

Definitely pay attention to the trigger warning if you need that. Personally, I don't, but I admit that some of the scenes were very hard to read.

This series is so good! Cannot wait until the third installment. And as an avid reader, I do NOT say this lightly. I could not put it down. Please make a story for Phoebe, Violetta & Cadmael!

The only con to this book is that it is on the various reading apps and the chapters are so long that one book can cost up to $60.

Amazing book (series) I love following Kiya's AND Neron's journey. Both are deeply broken and both need healing. This isn't your typical wolf story. So many bonds are formed and severed. There is real trauma and it isn't shied away from, the author take you through an unflinching journey that forces the reader to confront dark truths. Cannot say enough good things about this book.

Interesting plot and character development, relatable characters, might be triggering as it's dealing with overcoming abuse and trauma. Good reading time.
