William Butcher is dead and his life has gotten much more interesting.
With galactic peace brokered it may be time for William and the crew of the Mictecacihuatl to finally get back to their day job surveying star systems for resources. Humanity’s power players have other ideas.
Earth’s chief diplomat is bent on revenge against rogue elements in the Navy and the government who started the war with the blood of innocents. The Navy, reeling from the after effects of an attempted coup, is trying to regain their status and power in human politics. Now a new player emerges from the undead underground bent on the destruction AfterLife. When the rogue reanimate acquires a deadly weapon the crew of the Mictecaihuatl are tasked with hunting her down.
William and the crew are caught smack in the middle of a conflict that might very well change everything. AfterLife has held the dead in bondage for centuries, while the living are dependent on the labor of the dead. Which path will William choose? Will he fight against AfterLife’s oppression or defend the system that protects billions of living humans?
One thing is certain. There’s no rest for the dead.

B.L. Craig is the pen name for married writers Brandy Todd and Lorne Craig. The Reanimate Saga is their first foray into serious fiction. The couple lives in Eugene, Oregon with their teenage son, the most obnoxious cat in the universe, and eight trained rodents.

Brandy Todd holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a PhD in Educational Leadership. She is an Old SLUG Queen (never former, once a Queen, always a Queen, darling) , trainer of robot car racing rodents, blogger, and ninja level jig-saw puzzler. In her professional life she researches science education motivation in middle-school aged girls.

Lorne Craig is a redneck raconteur with a talent for improvisational song lyrics and bawdy limericks. He likes reading, board games, Dungeons & Dragons, home improvement, and caffeinated beverages.
In his professional life Lorne tells other people how to make stuff. Then they make the stuff. It’s a good thing.

A fitting finish to the afterlife trilogy.

The book is in desperate need of a copy editor though to stamp out those awkward mistakes (to vs. too, no vs. know, etc.) that increase in density over the course of the book.

A fast-paced ending that will keep you turning the pages. Loved the humor and biting sarcasm.

Side note - There are quite a few mistakes in the book - as in no punctuation or run on sentences.
