Regan's power grows daily, much to the worry of the ones that are of aware of him. With the influence of Nyx growing like a fire in a dry bed of grass, Regan is attracting more than a little attention from powers that might be beyond him. Never one to back down from a challenge, he might be more than his enemies anticipate. Louella feels like she's living out one of the plays she saw back in the capital. Her private life is a mess, and her lordship is being hounded by more than one person that would like to take her place, in more ways than one. Just how far will the world be able to push her buttons before she starts pushing back, with some lightning in the mix?
Starting to feel like it has a story to progress. . .
But still has major problems. At no point is their a plan. Everything is just a series of events where you are going from one emotional outbreak to another. The ending does not happen, it is just something that occurred. I just do not see how Reagan giving in to anger can eliminate his capacity to think. This is my main complaint with this series.
I guess it's time for me to be blasted by POVs I have no interest in reading. It's interesting seeing the contrast of what a good person would do (Dungeon Robotics) and a bad person would do (this series), when left unfettered from law and Morality, and give god like power of creation.
Will pick up the sequel. Peed really writes power fantasy right.
Overall was a fun read, enjoyed the evil dungeon core angle. Nice to not have a MC trying to save the world or bring enlightenment etc. Just a fun read with a Op MC having fun.
I enjoy this series very much. I started with Dungeon automata and after that I found this. It is really good and I enjoy the conflicts and the problems that the main character causes. I like the way the story is written and excited to read more of it.
I read this a while back and really enjoy this version of the series more than dungeon robotics, but havnt seen this continue of late, when is book 4 <3
