Let's Kill Your Husband

Rate this book
So should we kill your husband?

Your shaky demeanor, the bruises on your face... It killed me to see how you'd changed after getting married. Maybe we should just kill your husband. But how? Will our lives ever be the same again? Fate must have been on our side, because everything went smoother than expected.

Two seasons, 43 episodes/chapters. Two very close friends. One in an abusive relationship with her husband and the other whose parents had an abusive relationship. Set in Korea. Where one chance meeting leads to a suggestion that the friend kill their husband. From there the planning begins. These two women are determined to get the job done covering all angles.

It's clever how they find an illegal doppelganger, screw the husband over with embezzlement and genuinely their team work and the way they supported each other was beautiful. Killing is wrong and all that, but their relationship was beautiful. The actual kill chapter was... full on. Two women playing tug of war for three minutes to strangle him.

Season two was the aftermath, the in laws, the suspicious sister in law who wanted a private detective, who played mind games and knew her brother was abusive scum all along. It was touch and go for a happy ending there, the ending was left ambiguous hinting a confession more than friendship. It was short but intense.

Be gay do crime! Happy pride everyone 🏳️‍🌈. It was quite surprising that I enjoyed it despite being the type to want to focus on romance especially when it is wlw but this manhwa is really good. I love the pacing. I couldn't stop myself from scrolling that I might have missed a couple details. I'll reread this again soon.

the moral of the story is that you should 100% kill your abusive husband 😁🫶

also this is one of those manhwa that people don't know whether to tag it as shoujo ai or not. having read it, there is zero romance going on. however, my two cents is that the few moments where their relationship is kinda vague re: romance/friendship actually just made it read really well as best friends 💁‍♀️

Woah man this was intense like you have two women ending up killing the husband and be on the run from his sister! I really ship Jihye & Milo even if there weren’t any Yuri scenes 😭
Also Amy may have been sus at first but damn she is so likeable man!
