Hearts #3

Untamed

Rate this book
Marriage has always meant violence. I don’t trust it, but it’s the only thing keeping me afloat in these dark undercurrents. I married for safety but I got the most dangerous thing in the world—Ronan Byrne for a husband.

Now we’re returning to Bishop’s Landing to face our demons. Mine. His. We have real enemies to conquer, but it’s the fear in my heart that beats the loudest. I can’t stop being in love with him. Except the killer with the heart of stone doesn’t love me.

I don’t know whose family I belong in anymore. Or whether I should stay with Ronan when this is over. But I may not live long enough to make the choice.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”

What an amazing finale for this trilogy. Hands down, this was the best book out of the three. The talented Molly O’Keefe did an amazing and extraordinary job with this book, and also with this series.

Wow, this book completely blow me apart, it was that good. I had such a hard time putting it down, that in the end I decided to not do it and finished the book in one sitting. I don’t think it took me more than two or three hours, because it was amazing.

This book had everything I could ever ask for, from the impeccable writing, full of details, amazing descriptions and scenes, and all that feels. My heart and my feelings were all over the place. I enjoyed the adrenaline and the way the story kept my blood pumping, there were moments when I even stoped breathing for a few long seconds. It was steamy, twisted and edgy.

Poppy is smart, capable, resourceful, and so brave. She is in all ways a survivor, no matter what happens, she always finds the strength in her to lend on her two feet. And she finally starts getting her claws back, she is starting to fight for what she wants, for her happiness. She starts speaking her mind, without being afraid and all that fire that was hidden in her, is slowly making it’s way outside. She is constantly changing, finding out what she is capable of, finding out how powerful and strong she is. I loved how sassy she is with Ronan, and how she constantly challenged him. She is finally getting her voice back and this time she is not taking no for an answer.

”𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣, 𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚’𝙙 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙙𝙤𝙢.”

Ronan risked everything to keep Poppy safe. He did everything he had in his power to make sure that “his princess” is safe and far from harms way. He would stop at nothing to protect her. He is the big bad wolf, and everyone should think twice before going for his most prized “possession”. I loved that I had the chance to find out more about him, about his past and also, more about his demons. He is such an interesting and complex character, with a lot of emotional baggage and trauma. I loved seeing him with Poppy, and I loved how she broke down all of his walls.
And I especially loved that he finally allowed himself to feel and to be happy. He finally allowed himself to love and to be loved.

They have such a strong. Powerful, raw and deep love story. It has everything you could ever ask from it: is has passion, angst, amazing chemistry, so many hot and steamy moments, action, tears and sacrifices, and most importantly: true love.

I had the amazing pleasure and opportunity to receive an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Untamed by M O'keefe brings the heart stopping and breathtaking conclusion of Ronan and Poppy's explosive romance! It was a complicated ending with so many delicate puzzle pieces. It was a complex matter of hearts and lives. An intriguing mix of steam, suspense and heartaching feels delivered by the author's brilliant writing.

Ronan Byrne, the hitman of the Constantine family has escaped to Ireland with Poppy, the woman he wants to protect and save. And who is also his wife now just because it was necessary. But by twist of fate, it is exposed to Ronan that he is a part of Constantines' sworn enemy, the Morellis. And they want him to work for them. So now both the families are after him AND Poppy. He has to come back to New York with Poppy and deal with the war. And Poppy only wants him.

So I absolutely loved this story. The most brilliant part was to see Poppy becoming this self assured and fierce woman while keeping her soft and kind parts. That was just beautiful. She now knows how to fight for herself AND the man she loves. And Ronan is Ronan. And then he is not. He will forever have some violence, some edge and some twisted dark side. But Poppy has finally made him accept that he is more than his darkness. He can love someone and the way he loves Poppy...swooon! There is nothing more satisfying than to read an angry alpha going protective and caring for his woman. And the chemistry? Holy hotness! This plot was juggling many moving pieces. They had to be free of both Morellis and Constantines. So it was very action packed and a total rollercoaster. Yes, I had few panic attacks but it was so worth it. Midnight Dynasty world has some of my all time favourite alphas and some of them appeared here too. And the epilogue? Pure perfection.

Ending an emotional and unpredictable journey like Ronan and Poppy's is always a bittersweet experience. I am so happy for their happily ever after but I am a tiny bit sad to let them go.

This final book in Poppy and Ronan’s trilogy was the cherry on a slow melting sundae. The first two books weren’t steamy but built the characters development and storyline. The author definitely saved the best for this last in this book. It is sexy and steamy from front to back with a great journey to their hea. I adored Poppy and Ronan’s love story. It wasn’t easy but together they got through it.

Poppy and Ronan were never meant to be together, he's a man with a hardened heart, a man who lives his life without feeling or connection to others. But then she wanders onto his path, and it changes everything. She needs someone to keep her safe, and he wants to be the man to protect her, even though it's not in his nature to save... killing is a little more like it. But they find this connection that cannot be denied or severed.

In him she finds a peace and happiness she has never known, she loves him, but he has told her many times he doesn't do love. Marriage has always meant tragedy and pain to her, but with Ronan it's been anything but. He doesn't take from her, only gives, makes her feel safe and cared for... but can it last? They must return to the disaster they left behind, face the demons they've been trying to outrun, but will they survive it?

Untamed is a beautifully penned romance that shows us the ugliest sides of love, and the best parts of it too. These two were never meant to love one another or rely on one another, but they do. It goes against everything they believe, their union was supposed to be purely for benefit, not love. But somewhere along the way love found it's way in, and now they don't want to let it go. It's a dangerous game their playing, one that could cost them everything, or give them everything they've ever wanted!

I absolutely loved every minute of this dangerous, and oh so sexy, adventure. Every page was packed with emotion, danger, suspense, and romance. Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's characters are bound to take you on one heck of a thrilling and steamy ride!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I received an arc for a honest review.

I've been dying to read this book the minute book 2 ended. Lol DEFINITELY UNPUTDOWNABLE. It was totally PERFECT!!! The perfect conclusion to Ronan and Poppy's love story. I feel sooo much for the both of them. They had never got it easy in their life. Both of them went through tragic past, and for them to be each other's only support was so beautiful.

So many unexpected things happened. I was totally sucked back into the world, and didn't want it to end. And Yes. Leo made an appearance, and he did something that totally made me love him EVEN MORE. I already love him, but now he's my favorite in the Midnight Dynasty. A certain someone made an appearance, and now I'm dying for the book. Lol

Overall, this trilogy caught me by surprised, and I loved EVERY SINGLE MOMENT of it. You'll have to read Ruined and Broken before reading this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

“You destroy me, Poppy. You fucking ruin me. Who the fuck do you think you are to be so brave? To be so fierce?”

The final book in the Hearts Trilogy and I wasn't disappointed. It's taken loss, betrayal and tentative trust between Ronan and Poppy to finally be on the same page. With Ronan wanting to keep Poppy safe at any cost, the once battered girl has no intention of leaving the man she loves.

He was my fierce protector and he would break the laws of man if I was hurt.

If I was a queen, he was my king. And we’d find our own fucking kingdom.

Ronan and Poppy are back to face the music from the Morelli's and the Constantine's. With a bounty on both their heads, standing united is the only way to survive. But outside the dangers and politics, can Ronan learn to love the one woman who can provide him with hope and salvation?

“And I think, Ronan Byrne, you’re only getting started. If you let yourself love me…” I whispered, tears burning in my eyes as I imagined the fierceness he would bring to loving me. “We’d be a force of nature. We’d be untamed.”

Short and sweet, this author is a marvel. Her characters come to life in all their intensity and her sex scenes are insane...and they're plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy, from the young Irish boy forced to become a killer and the damaged princess who remained unjaded and brave through it all. They were the perfect pair.

4,1 stars.
This trilogy was the worst in Midnight Dynasty, at least, for me.
Ronan was boring! Really, really boring.
description
I loved Eden Morelli, but it has too little of her, I wish she appeared more in another books, but I guess that ain't happening.
Too much stalling and then suddenly, all happen at the same time, a bit of rush for my taste...
description
Too much attention to Ronan and Poppy, but the secondary characters were more interesting.
What happened to Eden?
To Poppy's sister?
I was expecting more, but this should be read for us to understand all that happens between Morellis and Constantines.
We can see how obsessed Bryant is for Caroline.
I must confess I'm a bit curious about the trio and how it all happened between Lane, Bryant and Caroline, though in the end Lane was in love with Aida.
It was a sweet ending...
But Ronan will be back to the story in the future, since he wants to work with Leo.

Untamed is the third book in the Hearts Series and picks up right where Broken Hearts left off. Poppy and Ronan are now married and headed back to New York to uncover the truth of their pasts and hopefully secure their future. Ronan is still hesitant to allow Poppy close to him, yet he cannot seem to push her away. Poppy is growing in strength and is confident that Ronan can love her if he only lets down his guard and lets her in.

Told in dual POV, Untamed is a complex Mafia Romance with multiple twists and turns as the story unfolds. Both Poppy and Ronan are strong characters, and together they become a force to be reckoned with. I found their connection to be full of passion and heart, and I appreciated every second spent with this couple.
"ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴍᴀʏʙᴇ ꜱɪɴᴄᴇ ɪ ᴍᴇᴛ ʜɪᴍ, ɪ ʜᴀᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴇɴꜱᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡʜᴇɴ ʜᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋᴇᴅ ᴀᴛ ᴍᴇ, ʜᴇ ᴡᴀꜱ ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ꜱᴇᴇɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ."
Overall, Untamed will appeal to Mafia Romance Fans who enjoy a lot of action and suspense in their reads. Ronan is a typical Alpha Male who refuses to let anyone break down his tough exterior until, of course, Poppy busts down the steel walls of his heart. I have been a fan of M. O'Keefe for quite a while, and it was a great treat to devour another series by her! I look forward to more greatness to come.

The first trilogy of 2025 disappointed me! (from 4 starts to three to one star!)

What the conclusion should've been about:
1/The angst in the marriage between MCS. They did a lot of smutty and foreplay things but they never had sex (there was a good reason). Now, when they married conveniently so the mafia can't murder them, I though we would have angsty panty melting moments about them surrendering to their passion.
Instead of that: the first chapter is a lesbian scene out of fuckiiiiiing nowhere!
The plot got derailed, the romance is crying in the corner and there were no warnings ahead (I think the FMC and the wife of a head mafia family characters joking about sleeping together in the other books in a sentence or two was a foreshadowing but still why?)

2/What should have happened: build-up to the action and revealing secrets. THERE WAS NOTHING. Even the chapters were dancing between two povs they gave me vertigo: every half page is attributed to one MCs: what's the point?
Every thing felt easy and everything fell flat!

Hoping the rest books in my Bingo Challenge would be great to make me forget some disappointments.

i'm kinda sad that i didn't like ronan and poppy as a couple. o just felt like it was a chore for them to be together. i really like ronan alone and poppy alone but together they just lacked chemistry.

the whole plot was a mess and i honestly had no clue what was going on. anyway i just can't wait for leo's book bc he hot af.

Untamed is the final book in the Hearts Trilogy and an absolutely incredible conclusion to Ronan and Poppy's story.

"If you let yourself love me…, we’d be a force of nature. We’d be untamed.”

This couple definitely didn't have an easy path to each other, in fact, they were never meant to be together but as they say, the heart wants what the heart wants. Ronan struggled with his past and the revelation that was going to change his future. It gave him doubts when it came to a future with Poppy, he refused to tarnish her sweetness! Poppy really came into herself and shed that meek, quiet person who let people walk all over her. Poppy gained the strength and self confidence to stand up for herself and became a force to be reckoned with!

"We were electric. We were fire. We were something elemental. Like air and earth. This feeling was timeless.

If you enjoyed the previous two books then you'll fall head over heels in love with this final book because the emotions and steam will dig it's way into your heart and not let up until the very end! I highly recommend this suspenseful, captivating and sexy trilogy that will have you begging for much, much more!

I am so glad to finally make it to the end of this series. I have been following this series since the moment the first book got released and I can't tell you guys how addictive it is. It is not as dark as I am used to but the thrill is amazing.

And don't even get me started on the heroes of the Midnight Dynasty world. They are all the best and the way the authors just connect them all is just amazing! The ending if this book was everything I wanted and so much more. I am sad that I won't get to see these characters again but I love that we got to the end.

I need so many more stories from this world kike it's not even a joke. It feels like this world keeps on expanding and expanding! Its soooo good. I will definitely recommend this trilogy to all the dark romance loving people out there!

Holy Ronan and Poppy and all things Morelli and Constantine.!! This finale to M. O’Keefe’s trilogy was absolutely astounding and breathtaking and so very perfect. This couple revealed some very key secrets in this Midnight Dynasty World but it also created more questions about these warring families.
Sensational ending to this couple but I hope to see more of them in the future 💕

''Married to an Absolute Stranger: The Poppy Story'' that quote pretty much sums up this series.

Safety gang:
- Mention of physical abuse
- Mention of miscarriages
- No cheating
- No OW/OM drama
- Violence
- HEA (married and 2 children)

Okay so that book 2 cliffhanger really left me in utter shock. Finding out he is a Morelli (uncle being Bryant and Lucian/Leo are his cousins) which is funny considering the fact he shot Leo (cue awkward silence).

They are ''forced'' to marry each other in order to keep her safe since if she becomes a Morelli then none of them can harm her. Both of them aren't so happy about this arrangement as he obviously wanted her to have a different life and live normally but lets be honest - he had to have known that was impossible considering all that has happened and their obvious feelings for each other.

Poppy is so much more courageous in this book and it was so nice to it in action. She solves the mystery as to what the Senator was doing and why the Morelli's thought the informaiton he had was worth billions - he was spying on Caroline for over three decades for Bryant who use to be her first love before she married Lane Constantine.

The push from Ronan was a bit too much and too long in my opinion - I wish he would of just given in to his feelings sooner and they could of avoided a lot of pain BUT when they finally got together it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

We also finally met Tiernan and his crazy self. We got a glimpse at how much power Bryant lacked after the events of Leo and Lucian and this book clearly takes place after those books!

Also I wonder if there will be a book for Zilla and Jacob?? I loved them (we only got glimpses) but I would love to know how their story played out.

Overall this series was much better than Lucian and Leo's books but Winston's book still remains my favorite so far. I'll continue reading the Midnight Dynasty books and next up is Tiernan and Bianca!

Untamed is an explosive and ultra sexy conclusion to an absolutely thrilling trilogy. M. O’Keefe does erotic and dangerous romantic suspense so well and I loved every minute of this series.

“Ronan would keep my body safe and incinerate my heart. Trusting him would be my worst mistake.”

Poppy and Ronan were absolute dynamite from the moment they met, and their chemistry and intensity only got stronger as their story went on. They had so much stacked against them and their biggest challenge was finding some semblance of happiness amid the chaos that surrounded them. I love the angst that carried through all three books. Very few authors write angst and emotion the way this author can. She has a way of pulling in the reader and making them feel emotionally invested in the characters and what they’re going through. I really enjoyed the way Poppy and Ronan connected, and they way they fought for each other so fiercely.

“If I was a queen, he was my king. And we’d find our own fucking kingdom.”

The plot of Untamed was well paced and kept me hooked the whole way through. There were suspenseful moments and highly emotional moments, which worked so well with the romance that tied everything together. M. O’Keefe will forever be one of my all time favorite authors, and this is one series that I highly recommend.

The final book in the Hearts trilogy, this is the one that brings the romance, sex and emotion that I’ve been hoping for from this series!

Ronan and Poppy’s story has been a rollercoaster so far, and the last book finished with them entering into a marriage of convenience (convenient in that Poppy is provided with much-needed protection now that she shares Ronan’s name), before leaving Ireland and heading back to New York to face their enemies.

It’s intriguing and suspenseful, and it soon becomes clear that their troubles are far from over. Trapped between warring families, it’s become clear to Ronan’s enemies that Poppy is now his weakness, and the two of them have a fight on their hands to figure out why they are being hunted, and find their way out the life they want no part of.

And at the heart of it all, is the love story. And honestly, that’s the part of the story I was here for.

“You’re terrified of her.”
Frothy Poppy?
With her indignation and bratiness and her heart so big it swallowed me whole?
Yeah. I was fucking terrified.

Poppy is in love with Ronan, and though he initially maintains his standoffish ‘I’ll keep you safe by keeping my distance’ thing, their mad chemistry proves impossible to resist, and oh holy God, they are hot together!

This was something worse than temptation. Something I’d never felt before, this crushing need for her. I was married to my addition and I knew nothing good would come of this but I still wanted her.

Ronan’s world has been nothing but violence. He’s never known love, so when sassy and stubborn Poppy refuses to back down from her emotional declarations, blatant seduction and her insistence on helping him, he honestly has no clue how to deal with it. But he recognises that he is changing – just as Poppy is finding her ferocity, he is softening towards her, and it was gorgeous to watch.

“You destroy me, Poppy. You fucking ruin me. Who the fuck do you think you are to be so brave? To be so fierce.
“I am what you’ve made me.”

He’s still a complete badass of course, but his walls are coming down, and as he finally let himself feel and gave himself over to his heart, I loved every moment of it. It’s passionate, emotional and so intense, and it’s the love story I was waiting for for these two!

“I’m yours, Poppy,” I said to her face. All that I am. Every part of me. My violence and my bloodstained hands. Like I was a knight and she was a queen, I would defend her to my death. “I love you and I’m yours.”

Freaking swoon!

And Poppy has become quite the little badass herself! I loved seeing her find her strength, stand up to Ronan, and the people that are trying to hurt them. Together, they become quite the powerhouse, and it was so satisfying to watch them fight for their HEA.

The only life I wanted, the only one with meaning was to be standing between her and what would hurt her.

This is a really satisfying ending to the trilogy. These characters have come such a long way, and I loved seeing them finally come together, open up to each other, and embrace everything that they are. I thought the mystery/suspense part of the storyline finished well, and the epilogue provides great closure.

It’s been a wild journey, but what a finish. 4 stars.

With the major cliffhanger book 2, Broken Hearts ended I was very much looking forward to the conclusion of Ronan & Poppy, the assassin and the widow.

Have been found in Ireland by Eden Morelli, who explained why it was hunting season, the decision was made to head back to the hornets nest.

The first half of the story was slow, although the author managed to create a sense of foreboding, of something big to happen. And did it ever! The second half was quite fast paced.

It was entertaining to see how both characters make leap of bounds in growth. We get to understand Ronan's reasoning to keep Poppy at a distance, which made it more amazing to see how this moody alpha assassin throws it all out the window and go into the relationship full speed!

We see Poppy's character develop from meek and sweet to determined, bold and at moments even rebellious. Poppy knows she wants Ronan in her life and fights tooth and nail for it.

When the book starts it seemed like it all was impossible to solve, so Ronan and Poppy would have to room to explore their newly relationship.
Told in dual POV's, I hope we'll get to read Eden Morelli's story too. I wonder if her story will be written and if yes, who will be the lucky author?

The epic finale of Poppy and Ronan’s dynamic love story does not disappoint. We have everything I’ve come to love about this Midnight Dynasty world- heart pounding suspense, intense chemistry, character complexity, and so much drama. And as always, we have an epic clash of the Morelli and Constantine families that brings everything to a head. Just delicious.

I left book 2 wanting a bit more evolution of these characters, and M. O’Keefe really delivered on that in this finale. Both of these characters have suffered so much within the tangled web of this Constantine-Morelli world, a dog eat dog world indeed. But these two make a stand- fighting for each other against impossible odds. Ronan the protector, but we also see Poppy finally fight. We finally got to see Poppy find herself - find her strength. Against the seemingly indomitable, big bad Caroline Constantine no less. And fighting for Ronan- a man who no one has truly fought for. And Ronan continues to be both dark and dreamy- the violent murderer, a dark presence, but a man who protects and loves Poppy with the same intensity. Their chemistry was so captivating- a beautiful emotive journey amidst all the fast paced action. Culminating in such a satisfying finale, some delightful cameos, and a delightful epilogue.

This story has been quite a surprise to me- in part, because I never thought I could get behind Ronan as a hero. One of the things I’m finding the most interesting about the Midnight Dynasty world is how much reading order influences your orientation to the characters and your understanding of their story. Having seen the worst in Ronan, I never thought I could be sympathetic to him, but he won me over big time. Of course, the wider this world gets, the more it opens up the opportunity for inconsistencies- either with characters or back story- and I did see a bit of that here in book 2 and in timelines, but for the most part, its amazing how characters I saw through another characters’ eyes- like Ronan- evolve when I see them through their love interest and their own eyes, they evolve. I’ve also enjoyed discovered the writing of M O’Keefe- she’s an author I’m looking forward to reading more from in the future.

This is the conclusion of Poppy and Ronan’s sexy, fiery, emotional and very action filled story.
The previous book ended with a BIG plot twist that changed SO MUCH! It has the couple headed back to Bishop’s Landing from Ireland.
It had me on the edge of my seat! They are trying to figure out how to stay alive and maneuver themselves into a better situation given this new information.
A situation that hopefully keeps them both alive and well.
Ronan is not hopeful for a great future for himself, he feels undeserving. He feels he’s made life choices that make it impossible for him to have a regular life, happiness even.
He’s just trying to do the best for Poppy.
Poppy see’s all the hidden good things in Ronan and wants him to believe in himself like she does.
It’s a constant push and pull between them.
It made me feel so much sympathy for them both.
It made me sad that he felt he was undeserving and stuck in a role he possibly didn’t want.
I felt Poppy’s hope for Ronan, her affection and love for him. It’s so beautiful!
They are both so tragic I was rooting for their happily ever after!
She’s the emotionally strong one of this couple in my opinion, I really loved that aspect! She’s been through so much, she’s been used, abused and she still keeps fighting!
There are some very hot and sexy times! These two are absolutely combustible! I love their chemistry, their sexy interactions-they are so unique and
SO HOT 🔥
There are also some big emotions, a lot of decisions and changes to be made.
That back and forth struggle between them finally comes to a conclusion.
I loved this trilogy, this book and these characters so much!
I was very satisfied with this story and conclusion!

Ronan and Poppy have been my favorite couple in all of the Midnight Dynasty world. I feel like they had to overcome the most to get to their happily ever after.

This book picked up right where the last left off, and there were a few surprises along the way (I'm looking at you, Eden!) The writing was great and the story ran the spectrum of feels for me. I can't wait to see these two pop up in future books.

4 Because I Know Stars

This is the final book in Poppy and Ronan’s heart stopping and violent journey. M. O’Keefe has wrapped their story up perfectly, taking us for one last ride that you aren’t prepared for. She pieced together all the lost shards of these two people who were thrust into worlds that they didn’t want to be in, but didn’t have a choice in the matter. The writing was flawless delivering punch after punch of emotions straight through you.

The part that I enjoyed the most in this, was watching as Poppy came into her own. Watching as she not only stood up for herself but she stood up for Ronan as well, was brilliant to see. I was cheering hard for her, not many people stand up to Caroline and it’s nice to see that bitch put in her place.

Poppy’s strength and courage that she grew into really set the tone for this book. I love a strong heroine, and Poppy hit that mark for me. I also adored that she knew what she wanted and even though people around her didn’t understand her choice she still stood by her conviction and never gave up. It takes a strong character with a steal spine, to take the negative in but not let it deter you in any way.

All in all this story was a great read. I still stand by the fact this story could have been a duet instead of a trilogy and there were some timeline issues that I could not overlook, which is why I had to take a star off. However, overall this story was exactly what was needed for these two characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent writing and the people that M. O’Keefe created.

Magnificent. The author's powerful prose grabs your heart in all directions and delivers an unforgettable punch. This is the finale to another favourite trilogy of mine in the Midnight Dynasty universe.

Back in the midst of their enemies' nest, Poppy and Ronan face inner demons, certain death and a future steeped in blood. I couldn't be more excited! I have devoured this trilogy like it were forbidden chocolate. This couple is everything. They suffer like martyrs, love like it's a miracle, and grow into new versions of themselves like warrior butterflies.

Poppy fights for her happiness with ruthless Ronin with all the might of her sweet, hopeful heart, and he struggles against the mere possibility of it. This duel of theirs is fraught with raw emotion and broken dreams. And it's so beautiful. So darkly sensual, deeply erotic, and violent and chaotic and extremely cathartic.

The plot boasts reckoning, secrets revealed, unholy alliances, a killer ingrained with undeserving self-loathing, a princess with a will of iron who loves like a goddess, and feuding families with more schemes than Machiavelli. And you won't believe the level of hotness! I love it when there's equal amounts of feeling, lust, and anguish. It's truly beautiful to read. That epilogue is gold, and I think the resolution of the conflict was quite unexpected. Wholeheartedly recommended!

I loved Poppy and Ronan's final book so much! It is a quick read and like many of the books set in the Midnight Dynasty world the conflicts are resolved quickly, which made for a relaxing reading experience for me, something I have desperately needed the last couple of years. That also leaves lots of room for the couple's relationship development (i.e. my favorite part). Their love story, especially in this third book, is both romantic and steamy. I absolutely loved Ronan's evolution from the their first meeting to their super sweet HEA; he is a dream hero. I wouldn't mind at all reading a book about Poppy's sister Zilla and the "murder accountant" either, LOL. I would likely have preferred to read the entire trilogy all in a row instead of individually like I did, but since this is the final book, it is a perfect time for others to do that.

A beautiful ending to this trilogy!

This slow-burn romance will leave you a mess of emotions with all the angst and sexual tension combined with sweet moments that'll keep you so invested and begging for Poppy and Ronan's happy ending. Their love story came with many obstacles, but I loved seeing the development of their characters while they overcame it all. I couldn't get enough of these two and I'm so sad to see their story come to an end, but I hope we get a glimpse of them in other Midnight Dynasty books. This world is so fascinating!

This was a super quick, easy to read, scrumptious conclusion to this trilogy. I've loved being lost in Ronan and Poppy's world.

He hid his love within his desire to protect her, but I love how Poppy was relentless in bringing out the good she saw in Ronan. That part of what I like his story:

This book kicked up the sexy scenes and I love that they finally reached that point where they could lay claim in one another, it was so damn fun to read. Highly recommend this trilogy.

I’m kind of sad to say goodbye to Poppy and Ronan but once again I really enjoyed their story and their evolution.

This series was an amazing read and I can’t wait to read more books from the Midnight Dynasty and also more books from Molly.
