Turn Around Ranch #2

Hope on the Range

Rate this book
An adorable cowboy romance from USA Today bestselling author Cindi Madsen featuring fan-favorite tropes: Friends to lovers, The girl next door

Brady Dawson grew up in the Colorado heartland running the Turn Around Ranch with his parents and his brothers. The Turn Around offers safety and rehabilitation for troubled teens, and doesn’t leave a lot of downtime, so it’s lucky his best friend is the girl next door, Tanya Greer. Everyone tries to label them as more than friends, but they’ve never crossed that line. Well, except that one time…

Tanya’s family’s dude ranch isn’t attracting a crowd any more. Tanya would love to turn the ranch into a summer riding camp for city kids, but her parents refuse to consider her idea. They still seem to think of Tanya as a kid herself. So when they get an offer from a slick businessman, it looks like they’re going to sell. And when Tanya is offered a well-paying job in the city, she knows it’s time to forget her dreams for the ranch, and her hopes of being more than friends with Brady.

Brady doesn’t want Tanya to go, but he doesn’t want to hold her back either. The thought of losing Tanya has Brady’s cowboy heart in knots. He realizes he’d better take his own advice, cowboy up, and confess his feelings. He only hopes it isn’t already too late.

Hope on the Range by Cindi Madsen
2nd book in the Turn Around Ranch series. Contemporary cowboy romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but characters and family are consistent between both books so far.
A ranch that takes in troubled teens and makes cowboys of them. Or at least a respect of the life and work. Two main storylines. Brady and Tonya, the adults. A friends to lovers story. Maddox and Harlow, teens. First love bad boy redeemed, good girl small town innocence learns a bit of the world.

Both romances are appealing. Tanya and Brady have been friends for years and she’s ready for them to be more. It takes a bit for them to get together but when they do, their romance turns just a bit steamy. The teens romance is sweet. I know that Maddox was supposed to be a tough teen but his heart was so open to Harlow. It was adorable to watch the two interact and learn about lives so different from their own.

Harlow had some cute sayings. Very country to my mind.
A casual family feeling overall. Not a lot of tension, but a graceful falling in love for them all. Minor teen angst.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Sourcebooks.

This is a Cowboy Romance, and this book is the second book in the Turn Around Ranch book series. I have to say that I loved the characters in this book. I also loved all the storylines in the this book, but I felt there was just way to much going on in this book. I wanted more from each of the storylines, but the book had to many of them that you never got a lot from any of them. I did enjoy reading this book, but it just made me wanting more. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Sourcebooks Casablanca) or author (Cindi Madsen) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Hope on the Range is a delightfully sweet story. That combines an appealing best friends to lovers romance with a cute teenage one, and has a story that is relatively drama free, full of family feels, positivity and truly likable characters, and I was genuinely engaged throughout. And I'm looking forward to reading more from this series in the future.

Would recommend.

I enjoyed this book that explored several issues: child abuse, animal abuse, small town living, ranching, and best friends realizing that they want more, but are scared to go after that in fear of ruining their life time friendship.

I did not read the first book, but could easily read this one as a stand alone. Turn Around Ranch is a ranch for at risk teens and through the years some of them have even been adopted by the owners. This book focuses on the second oldest son, Brady Dawson, who loves his home and what they do, but has also recently been feeling that something is missing from his life. Could it be that he has for years been suppressing the attraction that he has had for his best friend and next door neighbor, Tanya Greer? Through a misunderstanding at their senior prom, he believes that she wants him to remain in the friend zone. Meanwhile, she is so frustrating in wanting him to look at her as
more than just a friend that she ordered a how-to book on line to help her flirt and get his attention, which is very funny. It is very entertaining, watching these two discover what everyone else around them has known for years. But that is not the only thing that has Tanya frustrated. The family dude ranch is not doing so well, and she had to give up her scholarship to college to return to help after her father's health had declined. But he still treats her like a child and refuses to allow her to make changes, especially her desire to safe abused animals.

And they aren't the only couple whose story is told here. There is an equally poignant narrative about Maddox Mikos, the most recent juvenile delinquent, to be brought to Turn Around Ranch. All Maddox has learned in his short life, is that no one stays, and life is about rejection and loss. But with the team at the ranch and especially the help of a local girl, he finally learns what it is to be loved.

AS I said at the beginning, I really enjoyed reading this story. The narrative is well written and the characters very engaging. I read an ARC provided by NetrGally.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Tanya and Brady had been best friends forever but now something has begun to shift in their relationship. They both are experiencing some feelings that don't match up to friendship only. But, both of them don't want to ruin this long-running friendship but both wanting to take the next step to more.

This is a sweet story about best friends moving to more. I also loved Maddox's story, too, and the ranch that helped wayward teens get the therapy and love they need to become wonderful contributing members of society.

I didn't love the descriptive sex and foul language. The story was great but I didn't love those facets of this story.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

I enjoyed the two romances but two romances for such a short book left me wanting more of my favorite couple.
The couple I prefered were Tanya and Brady.
Two best friends who've been in love with each other forever.
Brady took a chance on her when they were 18 and because of a misunderstanding she rejected him. They stayed best friends but now 11 years later Tanya can't keep her feelings inside anymore.
I love this trope so much !!
It was very sweet but as I said, I wanted more. Too much overshadowed their romance.

The other couple were Harlow and (omg I already forgot his name. Was it Maddson? Pretty sure that wasn't his name but I forgot).
She is a sweet teen girl from the ranch , he's a troubled teen come to the ranch to get back on the right path.
I liked their romance as well, it was really sweet but I couldn't enjoy it as much as it deserved because I was always looking forword to reading about Tanya and Brady again.

Hope on the Range by Cindi Madsen was a sweet and charming small-town friends to lovers romance. Brady and Tanya have been friends for a long time that many thought they were more than friends, but they have never crossed the line, yet. But what if they did want more? Is it too late now? Add in a sweet teenage romance and you have a very delightful read.

Happy reading!

I really enjoyed this one. A small town cowboy romance that gives you two storylines. We get the adults love story with Brady and Tonya and the bonus first love story for the troubled teen Maddox and Harlow. It’s got great characters, plenty of genuine dialogue and a sweet ending that made me smile.

I received an arc of this book.

Just like the previous book in the series, this felt on the longer side, but was told from multiple perspectives, so it was almost like getting 2 stories in one. I liked that, about how it was written, it kept it interesting. Friends to lovers is my favorite romance trope, so I was excited to jump into this book. And it had the added story of Maddox and Harlow. I definitely want to keep reading this series, especially when it comes to Nash's story.

Hope on the Range is the second book in the Turn Around Ranch series.

Brady Dawson and Tanya Greer have been friends for ages. Growing up on farms that were neighboring, they met early in life and they've pretty much been through all the things together over the years. While Brady works with troubled teens at his family ranch, Tanya works to help mistreated horses and other stray animals. Tanya has a huge heart and Brady is so wonderful and patient with the kids he works with.

We also have teens, Maddox and Harlow, whose sweet romance also unfolds. Maddox is at the ranch and his past is heartbreaking, while Harlow is a local and meets him at the ranch.

I so wanted to enjoy this book more than I did. I enjoyed the characters and individually the storylines were good as well, but there was so much happening. I feel like we didn't get as much of each story as we could have given how much was spread to the multiple storylines and I found it hard to get into. I enjoy Cindi Madsen's writing, so I'll most certainly give the next one in this series a try as well.

This is a sweet friends to lovers story. Tanya Greer and Brady Dawson have been friends since they were little kids. Neither one of them wanted to chance ruining such a wonderful friendship. It took quite a leap of faith to believe they could be more than just friends. I enjoyed the journey to their Happily Ever After.

Brady Dawson and Tanya Greer have been best friends forever, growing up on neighbouring farms they have bickered, goaded, and taunted each other since they were small. Everyone else gives them grief about coming clean about being a couple, but they know they are just friends. Well, except that Tanya has felt differently the last six months and has bought a book about flirting online to try to get Brady's notice. Brady may have had some thoughts in that direction once or twice, their prom being a case in point, but Tanya shot him down so he put her in the friend zone, but recently she's been acting a bit odd, is she flirting?

Brady and his family (including some adopted brothers) run a farm which helps kids that have got into trouble with the law. Swapping healthy outdoor living for drink, drugs and crime. Tanya's family run a dude ranch on their farm.

There was nothing wrong with this book, but also there was no tension to really engage me, there was more romance (although U rated) between one of the bad boys at the Dawson ranch and one of the goody-two-shoes locals who helps out on the farm than there was between Brady and Tanya. I just didn't feel any spark between them, they were both too nice.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Bumped for release.

ESP:
No me malinterpretéis.

ENG:
This had my favourite trope (best friends to lover) and it was written by one of my favourite contemporary authors so I'm not surprised by the outcome.
Brady and Tanya were such good characters! And they had amazing chemistry and their relationship went way back in time. I loved seeing how they went from friends to lovers and how their relationship evolved bit by bit.
The only criticism I have is that I would've rather see the teenage romance as a novella instead of in this book. Don't get me wrong, I did like their romance (perhaps a bit cheesy at the end) but I felt it stole their spotlight a bit.

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.

This is the second book in this Turn Around Ranch series and the first that I have read by Cindi Madsen.

Hope on the Range is a classic friends to lovers tale starring Brady and Tanya. There is a secondary romance between teens Maddox and Harlow that is very PG as well. There really wasn't a lot to the plot itself but it still all worked due to the amount of relationships going on within the book.

The writing was really funny and I loved the friendship between Tanya and Brady. You could see the friendship and how much they cared. The self help book Tanya buys to try and help her get Brady to notice her gave some absolutely hilarious situations and dialogue. You could really sympathize with Tanya's plight and you were really hopeful for her! I enjoyed seeing how they came together and their journey. The secondary storyline for teens Maddox and Harlow was interesting. I don't think that I have ever read a romance novel with a clean teen secondary storyline. Given though that Brady's family runs the Turn Around Ranch for troubled kids though it did seem to work. Harlows clean language was hilarious at times but really seemed to suit the character and not be put on.

Some minor issues I found were that there were so many characters and minor relationships that I felt hard to understand and would have liked these better explained at the start. It didn't really detract from the story in any way but it did make it tricky to understand the relationships. The mistreatment of the horses was quite upsetting as well.

Overall though I thoroughly enjoyed this book, will be purchasing the first one in the series and looking forward to reading the next one!

4 1/2 Stars for this sweet funny romance!

I love how in this series there are two love stories in each book. Tanya and Brady had me laughing-out-loud with their antics, while Maddox and Harlow had my heart breaking for them. All the characters are well developed and the banter between them is so realistic that I felt I was right there with them in the story. I love how the characters from the first book are in this book and I can't wait for future books with the other brothers from Turn Around Ranch. This is a great series and I highly recommend it.

Brady and Tanya have been best friends since childhood growing up down the road from each other. The whole town thought there was more going on between them, but that wasn't the case ... until recently. They started seeing each other in a different light and realized that maybe they were meant to be together. But will Tanya move away to follow her dreams? Or will her dreams come true right in Silver Springs?

Then there is a second love story between two teens. Maddox is new to Turn Around Ranch and is the brooding rebel. Harlow has never had a lot of friends so when Brady hires her to help at the ranch, she jumps at the chance. Seeing how her roping partner dumped her, maybe she'll find a new roping partner at the ranch. Maddox and Harlow have an instant connection ... but can the good girl and the bad boy make it work?

I was excited to see that this book was part of Cindi Madsen's Turn Around Ranch series. I loved the first book and friends to more is my favorite trope, so I knew I would not be disappointed.

Brady and Tanya have been friends and neighbors for years - just friends except for one time. When Tanya's family doesn't take her suggestions seriously to turn their dude ranch into something different, she begins to think that maybe it's time to move on. Especially when she's offered a job and figures she needs to let go of her hopes of more than friendship with Brady.

I really liked watching these two friends figure out their feelings for each other. Brady especially as he doesn't want to hold Tanya back, but he's not ready to give her up either. There were a lot of sweet moments and some that made me laugh, too. I loved their dynamic and how much they genuinely cared for each other as friends even before their relationship changed.

There was also a storyline between two teens on the ranch. I thought Maddox and Harlow's story was a nice addition to the book.

If you are looking for a sweet, fun, and engaging read then I highly recommend this book and series!

Turn Around Ranch houses disturbed, displaced teens, rehabilitating them and teaching skills to deal with the world. This gives Brady his purpose in life after leaving the rodeo but something still seems to be missing and he is soon realizing that his long-time best friend Tanya fills this void but as something more than just his BFF.

Tanya is of the same opinion but since day one they've insisted that they will never be more than friends. So taking the risk of losing her best friend is the choice she makes. But pursuing her lifelong dream of setting up a rescue ranch is also on the list of her priorities but making both her dreams come true at the same time doesn't seem to be happening.

Maddox Mikos has been abandoned all his life by the people he's come to depend or care on. So as is common with teens left to their own devices he's in trouble with the law and has to serves his sentence at Turn Around Ranch. The last thing this bad boy mechanic expects to find is himself as part of a rodeo competition and partnering up with a cowgirl who gets under his skin and makes her way into his heart, allowing him to love and trust again.

This book follows the same pattern as A Cowboy Never Quits, telling the stories of four characters side by side. In this case, the teenagers have a bit more meat to their story than the adults do.

Maddox has been delivered to the Turnaround Ranch on court orders; he was arrested for driving a vehicle with drugs in the trunk and has the sort of troubled childhood that you'd expect for someone who winds up in the situation where the person he was counting on put him in that situation. Harlow is a local girl who competes in rodeo, helps at the ranch and struggles to make friends. Their relationship starts off antagonistic but they quickly grow to rely upon each other.

On the adult side, Brady and Tanya have been friends forever, but Tanya wants to be more than friends. Their main conflict is actually that everyone they know has been telling them they should hook up forever and has little-to-nothing to do with the whole "there might be another ranch" thing implied by the back of the book.

I have yet to read anything by this author that I didn't love.

4 out of 5 stars!

Next-door neighbors and best friends have their lives change as the couple pursue a new direction in their relationship. Harboring such feelings, they began this new path amidst familial issues, new career directions, and the troubled teens that comes to the hero's home for safety and rehabilitation.

I enjoyed reading this Cindi Madsen book. I didn't read the first book of the series but this book delivered enough information that readers are not lost about what happened in that particular book. This book provided a friends-to-lovers in the main couple as well as a burgeoning teenage romance between a local cowgirl and a city-slicker teenager that needed some help. The setting gave positive vibes and not a lot of drama that were resolved in the end. It would have been nice for some more details in some parts for better transition but that's a personal preference of mine. Overall, it's an enjoyable book and I look forward to reading more Cindi Madsen in the future.

Hope on the Range by Cindi Madsen is the second book in the Turn Around Ranch series. I had not read the first book (but I will be very soon!) and I was able to easily read this as a standalone romance.

I loved the story. The characters are so sweet and filled with so much heart! I loved that the Turn Around Ranch is set up to help troubled teens in the community.

The romance is a sweet and a little steamy! I loved the cowboy/ranch theme. I also loved the message of follow your dreams woven throughout!

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to other books featuring the Turn Around Ranch and its community! I recommend this if you're looking for a sweet romance that can make you feel all the feels!

Hope on the Range by Cindi Madsen is a book that has a beautiful, rugged place that pairs hard work with time to do some serious thinking so that actions of troubled youth can changed for the better. It is a place that has love for your fellow man but also where romantic love can be found too.

Brady Dawson and Tanya Greer are two adults who have been friends all their life. Changes are in the wind so it is time to acknowledge that their feelings may be more than just friendship. Then at the Turn Around Ranch young love may also be budding but lives need to be straightened out with a clearer future. Two of the main stories happening at the ranch in this newest addition of the series. Second book in the series, just as good as the first.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed reading this second book in the Turn Around Ranch series. Tanya and Brady have been best friends, neighbors, and competitors for years. Tanya wants more than friends, but Brady doesn’t have a clue. Brady loves working on the ranch and helping at risk youth. He takes a special interest in their newest resident, Maddox. Tanya wants to start a horse rescue at her parent’s ranch, but her dad shuts her down. When Eric Richmond comes to stay, he has a proposition for her that would take her away from Colorado. She’s seriously considering his offer. Will her parents finally come around or will she leave? Will Brady finally see what’s been in front of him all along or will he lose Tanya? No spoilers so grab your copy and see what happens. I also loved the side love story of Maddox and Harlow, so sweet.

Hope on the Range is a cute best friends to more read. I loved this one. Tanya and Brady have this incredible friendship and I love how they try and fight everything between them. They will make you giggle with their banter and they will pull at your heart too. Tanya has such a big heart and you feel for her when it comes to the power struggle she goes through. Brady is amazing with the troubled teens. You also get the teenage couple of Maddox and Harlow that you will just love. Your heart goes out to Maddox as his past comes out. Harlow is amazing with Maddox and getting him to open more. I love how the Turn About Ranch takes a chance on the teens when they need it the most. Brady and Tanya will suck you in with their love and friendship. I could not get enough of this one. I cannot wait for more Turn About Ranch to come.

Brady and Tanya have been best friends their whole lives. Tanya wants to take it to another level, so she orders a dating guidebook to help her flirt and get him to see her in a different light.
Brady works at Turn Around Ranch, helping troubled teens.
Tanya and Brady have a fun and playful relationship, with lots of banter, teasing, and wagers against each other. I struggled with how Tanya is 29 but seems to be treated like a much younger person by her parents.
About half of this book actually focuses on Maddox, one of the teens attending the ranch, and Harlow, a teen from town, and their budding romance. The amount of time spent on Maddox and Harlow was somewhat of a distraction from Brady and Tanya's storyline.
I did enjoy the book, and it was well written and lighthearted. Looking forward to more books in this series.

Second book in the Turn Around Ranch series, this book is a friends-to-lovers romance. Tanya left school to come back home after her father had a stroke and help take care of the family's ranch. But she have different plans from his and the arrival of a city man wanting lessons on ranch life for a property he inherited might be the opportunity of a lifetime. But there's another twist coming her way. Her best friend, Brady, who operate with his family a camp for delinquent youth next door, might be finally starting to react to her flirty hints.

The chemistry between Tanya and Brady lacked a certain kind of heat for me but it was still sweet and glad that we got a second romance with one of the teenager and a teenager already training at Turn Around Ranch. The animals characters were as endearing as the human ones.

Sweet and touching Hope on the Range is a wonderful and heartwarming read.

Brady and Tanya have been best friends their whole lives. Brady works for his family’s ranch for troubled teens, while Tanya's heart is dedicated to helping mistreated horses and other strays. But what will happen when their passions and goals pull them apart?

Harlow is in a bind, she just lost her roping partner after training for the local rodeo for the past year. When Brady asks for her help with training the at-risk-kids, she finds an unlikely new partner in the new court ordered arrival to the problem, Maddox. Will she be able to help him turn his life around and break down his walls?

I loved the unique quad POV in this book, and the two interwoven couples stories, making it feel more rounded and full. With a lot of heart, an extra helping of care and a serious amount of love, this book will get you in the feels.

This was a really cute book. I loved how the author sprinkled in the other characters from the first book so that we still get to see where they are in their journey together. This was an easy read about two best friend who finally saw what everyone else notice between them. You have Brady who works on his family ranch and helps with troubled teens through a program his family created. You also have Tanya who came home from school early to help her parents run their ranch. She put her purpose and dreams on the back burner so that she could help out and found herself stuck. In this story one of them in the beginning tried to fight it but it the end the love between them was easy but they also had some turbulence.

This story is a super cute friends to lovers. I really enjoyed the hero and heroine (Tanya and Brady). I loved the side story with the troubled teens at Brady's ranch. Tanya and Brady have been friends since they were kids. Brady once crossed the line and Tanya didn't like it. They are both attracted to each other as adults but both fear crossing that line if it means losing their friendship. Seeing them take the plunge made for a great storyline. I loved the small town, country feel of this book. It reminded me of where I grew up. This book was fun and held my attention. The writing was solid with just the right amount of conflict to keep me reading into the night. Huge thanks to the publisher (Sourcebooks) and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

Brady's family runs a ranch that helps troubled kids; Tanya's family dude ranch is next door. They've been BFFs who have ignored their romantic feelings but things are changing for them. The dude ranch isn't doing well financially and Tanya's been offered a job in the city. There's a sweet trope-y romance there but the better story for me at least is the one between Harlow and Maddox. She's a squeaky clean local who helps out at the ranch and he's been ordered there by the court in the hopes that he will clean up his act. These two both have shells that eventually crack open. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. There aren't any surprises here but it's good tale with a heart.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable friends to lovers romance. Brady works for his family’s ranch for troubled teens. He has been best friends with the girl next door, Tanya. Everyone assumes that there is more to they relationship, but both deny it. At the onset of this book, both of them are starting to see each other in a different light, but Tanya is the one to try to see if they can be something else. There is also a sweet romance between one of the troubled teens and a local good girl. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest review.
