For years, these words have been collecting dust in the dark. They've been hidden away out of fear. But now, they get to speak out loud. They get to tell the story of a girl once too young, too alone, too full of dreams.
M Leigh Morhaime is an East Coast Native transplanted to the Pacific Northwest with her husband, sweet pup named Myah, and two cats, Hannibal and Watson. She can always be found with a pair of sunglasses somewhere on her head as she wasn’t meant for the sun. With a childhood dream to be an author, she published her first novel in November of 2020. While she is chaos, her stories revolve around the fierce heroines healing, thriving, and finding love.

Adolescent Antiquities: A Poetry Collection is a powerful stream of consciousness by M. Leigh Morhaime that speaks to the deeply rooted hurt and rage that is buried within us all. It is not only an unleashing of these emotions, but a taking back of control that has been denied for far too long. Words are failing me as I attempt to convey the grit and raw humanity of these words that are expressed in such an honest and unfiltered way. Many of these profound thoughts will, quite honestly, stay in my mind for a very long time. I am adding Ms Morhaime to my list of must read poets.
Thank you to M. Leigh Morhaime for providing me with a copy of this collection. All thoughts and opinions expressed are solely my own.
I just finished reading an ARC of Morhaime's debut poetry collection. Such a beautifully written and raw poetry collection. I shed tears while reading these pieces as I can relate to many of these words. Several favorites of mine are: Behind True Eyes, Wandering Whispers, The End Not Found, This Is Not The End. 💜
I consumed this book under an hour! I could feel every raw emotion that M Leigh Morhaime was trying to express. I could feel the words running through my veins, and goosebumps with each line I read. There was so much anguish and emotion. It was a true expression of art. I felt myself reliving some of my own past life events. When an author can draw you into a book like that, they definitely have a true talent with words. I hope Morhaime writes more poetry in the future, because she has a top fan right here!
This poetry collection reminds me a lot of myself M. Leigh Morhaime does a brilliant job at using words to point a poignant picture. A definiate must read.
