Death and bad luck seem to follow me like a curse, and when I join the Kings of Carnage MC as a prospect, things are no different. I represent beautiful destruction with a trigger-happy semiautomatic, and it’s only a matter of time before my fellow brothers see me for what I am. A wake-up call. I’m a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Until sweet Maybelline walks into my life like an unwanted siren, ripping apart my desires and turning them into obligations. She sees me for what I’m capable of instead of who I am, and now I have to decide if my shy little lamb is strong enough to persuade me to show mercy. The question is ... who am I to the Kings of Carnage and what do I want?

Crow wants nothing more than to part of the Kings of Carnage MC. When he gets the chance to prospect for them, he will do anything to prove his worth. Maybelline lives next to the new biker, Crow. When the MC asks for a favor she can’t say no…no one can. Wow, this was a great addition to the Kings of Carnage MC. Bikers, action, some burnt muffins and a big twist you won’t see coming. I loved Crow and Maybelline together. They have such sweet but fun chemistry together. The whole crew has cameos but this can be read as a stand-alone. Told in dual POV
Crow by MN Forgy was the fifth book in the Kings of Carnage MC - Prospects. The series was a spin off focused on the legacy of the original Kings of Carnage MC. Both series are written by five to six separate authors and although are all part of the MC storyline, the books can be read in order or as stand-alones.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed the overall storyline and the included twist. I also enjoyed both Crow and Maybelline, especially Maybelline’s humor. Her Pigeon episode was hysterical. However, the length of the book was short - even shorter than the others in this series - so, it had plenty of room for additional depth, which it needed. I mentioned I loved the twist, but it had so much opportunity to dive deeper and provide more detail. Unfortunately it was rushed so that and many other events were just skimmed over versus a well rounded storyline. For that, I rated it a 3.5, which rounds up to a 4 on this rating site. With that said, it was still enjoyable and a worthy read for the series.
Never seen it coming. Oh Crow you have been a bad boy .... now what are you going to do about it?
This author did good by keeping the secret and glad to hear he really was already a bad boy in his mind. No way am I putting out a spoiler by telling you what is going on... just trust me that it's good. Maybe the change of mind had something to do with the lady interest but I think it still would have gone the way it did even if she wasn't part of his story.
Can't believe the last book isn't out yet... sure hope it's soon and wondering if it can beat these last two?
What a great addition to this series! I went into reading this installment with some trepidation as it is a series consisting of different books by different authors. That said, sit back, fasten your seat belts and enjoy Crow’s story! Even though it’s book 5 in the Kings of Carnage MC series it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a standalone! Crow is new blood, joining the Kings of Carnage MC as a prospect. When an opportunity comes up giving him the chance to do something to prove his worth and get patched… well why not? What happens… you’ll have to read and find out! Fast paced, intense and exciting, this story was chuck full of ex toning nuggets that kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next. I found the characters to be likable and relatable. How the story between Crow and Maybelline evolved and develops was unputdownable! 4.5 stars!
Holy smokes Batman!! I did not see that coming! What a twist that had me on the edge of my seat and kept me seated until I read it all in one sitting! Amazing read and I’m getting to love these characters the more books I read in this series.
This book is just ok. It got totally ruined with the porn as I knew it would. Please he filmed it and gets hard than runs home to Mad and you know he is not seeing her while having sex. Plus she knows where he was and she is to stupid to but two and two together. He runs in and grabs her and throws her on the bed. Wake up girl. The other drama was good in here. But you know everyone but Bear will cheat eventually. I don't like any of the men in here except Bear. Real men don't cheat.
I love a good spin off series especially as this is about new blood joining the MC as prospects rather than the original members children which is a different angle. Crow finds himself longing to be part of biker lifestyle; watching, waiting, hoping that he might have an opportunity to prospect for them. Fate gives him an opening and he grabs it with both hands and no regrets. Revelling in the sense of family and brotherhood can Crow prove he has what it takes to be patched in or will the girl next door be too much of a distraction?
Her life has been shaped by the MC and Maybelline has a healthy fear of the lifestyle. Quiet and shy she tries to avoid attention whenever possible yet the new neighbour has caught her eye. When the MC plants Maybelline to be a front for one of their properties she can’t help but relax around the new prospect, knowing he may be the road to her damnation will she let her heart rule her head for once?
This was a fast paced, action packed steamy read. They seem to be polar opposites but somehow they just work, drawn together like magnets. Their relationship is bumpy and they both struggle with their natures, fighting against happiness because of their own self doubts… This story has all the favourite characters from the original series and it’s great to dive back into their world as I wasn’t ready to leave it. Please please please can someone fund me so I too can open a coffee/book shop? I’m so jealous! The plot twist is twisty…and that’s enough said about that as you’ll just have to read this for yourself. Oh and that scene Crow films, you’ll know the one once you read, who knew a dildo could be that much fun 😉
A five star I want to be a prospect read.

Great book. It was a bit short, but it got the point across. I was always curious to find out what Crow's story was, especially after Leigh's blackmailing in Sterling. She noticed something "off" about him that her brother Ruin, her 'ol man Sterling,' or either North or Bear, who were the closest to Crow, never noticed. He seemed to appear in rural Uprising Georgia out of nowhere wanting to prospect for the KOC MC. He finally gets his chance when North takes an interest in him after Crow helps him with a brawl at Centerfolds. Everything is going well, he's prospecting, and he is making progress with the brothers. Then he meets Maybelline, the shy, feisty bookworm who is a natural beauty. She doesn't even realize it and that's what attracts Crow to her even more. They quickly start to have feelings for each other and his plans are put on hold. He comes clean to her and the club about somethings that hes been hiding. Trusts are broken and he is put to the test to prove his loyalty to the Kings. They go through some ups and downs but they realize that together they can overcome anything that comes their way. They deserved each other and their HEA especially after everything they both endured while growing up. Definitely recommend this book and the rest of the series. I can't wait to see what's next! I saw that Mako's story should be next but I can't find it anywhere!? 😕
Maybelline has been in the same small town / area her whole life. She has always tried to avoid the local MC crew. When they come to her to make a business in a small store front, she agrees, knowing it's just a front for whatever business they do. She notices her new neighbor, who is new in the area and is riding a Harley.
Crow notices Maybelline right away, maybe it's her shyness he wants, but he is instantly attracted to her. After he gets on as a prospect with the local MC crew, he starts going over to the business Maybelline is at. He notices she's a wallflower, he wants her to open up to him, but he knows she's on the shy side.
Crow needs a little bit of a nudge when it comes to making some moves on Maybelline, of course the MC brothers help him out. Maybelline isn't sure if she should believe that a guy in the MC club is interested in her or not. They do have some hot and heavy make out sessions for sure.
A twist towards the last part of the book made me wonder what was going to happen, where we were headed, but it cleared up by the end of the book. Will Crow be able to stay in the small Atlanta town? Will Maybelline be able to keep working at her new business, even though no one is ever inside?
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
When reading the other books in this series, I felt like they were all part of one story. I didn’t get that with this one. Crow was in Ruin and Sterlings books as a prospect. But this book starts out with him just beginning to be a prospect. And Porn Kings was already established. The timeline didn’t make sense. And there was no indication that there was a past and present. In Bear’s book it was mentioned that he was close to Crow. Something like that. So I figured with this being Crow’s story, we’d understand that more as it was also mentioned. Nope. And I never got the impression that Crow was a jokester but it was mentioned in this book a few times. It just feels like the author wrote the story without knowing what was in the other books. The typos, missing punctuation, and missing words were distracting. I own several books my this author and have enjoyed her stories. I wish this one would have been better and easier to read.
I am really loving this series and i was excited for this book as it was another new to me author.
This book took a turn i didn’t see coming and who Crow was but i loved him and Maybelline straight away and there chemistry was instant but it was slow to get going which i loved because once they connected it was hot.
I really liked Dime as well her and maybelline were such good characters and i loved there sister relationship. Especially when things turned on it’s head i felt like they got closer.
Another great book and story for this great series and i am really loving them all, if you haven’t started this is a series i would recommend if you like MC genre you won’t be disappointed.
This was an exciting, crazy, and intriguing story with interesting characters, humor, drama, suspense, and some very unexpected twists. It's certainly a story that you won't want to miss. I have loved this series, and I'm really hoping that Mako's story will be available soon! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Thank you to all of the authors who have made this series (as well as the first generation series!) a huge success, as well as allowing the books to be available on Kindle Unlimited.
I have enjoyed the Kings of Carnage series and the offshoot Prospect series. But this on just wasn't what it could have been. Without giving away the whole book, I just want say say the it wasn't very realistic or plausible. Unfortunately, that kept me from really getting involved with the story, the characters or the plot. Kept shaking my head in wonder at what was happening. A lot of the background information on the characters was missing or incomplete, and many scenes pretty unrealistic.
I read this via Kindle Unlimited, and frankly am glad I didn't pay for this.
M.N. Forgy carefully wove a great twist into the latest Kings of Carnage book. Crow has always been a darker than the rest of his prospect brothers but it was a complete surprise when the author finally revealed the mystery behind the man. I loved the darker elements of his story and how he was able to find a home with the club .... and Maybelline.
All in all this was another great book in the series.
It’s an okay read. It seemed like a good MC story. Following Crow, who wanted in the MC by following North around. The Crow meets Maybelline and feels an attraction. The an unbelievable event happens at the 50 percent mark and it ruined the story for me. No one keeps confidential items like that and why was she digging in the drawer? It was an odd scene and then the trajectory of the story changed. Disappointed.
Spoiler warning. I was concerned about this story right off the bat when the mc grabbed someones throat and "crushed his esophagus"... Anatomically impossible! Please do a little research, that was embarassing to read. Almost as embarassing as repeating the line in the last chapter. The whole story felt forced, and the characters were weak. I should have ended the series with Bear.
Crow is actually a DEA agent he goes undercover with the Kings , but he actually wants to be an outlaw. In the meantime he meets and falls head over heels in love with the girl across the street! It's a fun, exciting, violent, and rewarding story which I recommend you read! 5 Stars review
I couldn’t put it down as I read in one sitting. What happens when the MC finds that one of the prospects isn’t who he says he is? Will they be able to forgive him and bring him into the club? Things only get more complicated when Crow falls for his pretty little neighbor. Definitely recommend this book and author.
M.N. Forgy writes awesome books. Crow doesn't disappoint. Wow!! Won't spoil it, but wait till you read Crow!! Holy Crap!! Didn't see that one coming. Love the ending. Maybelline and Crow make a great couple. She is a timid mouse and he is a take no prisoners type of guy.
An absolutely intriguing, invigorating and suspenseful ride to go on. This story has the perfect amount of angst, twists, turns, secrets and of course in the midst of it all a beautiful romance. I didn’t want this story to end. I enjoyed every single second of it.
Not what I expected but this author always delivers (just read her other stories, truly gifted). Crow falls hard for his meek little mouse and the inexperienced lady loves Crow without question. I did want to know what happened to the awful Madd Dawgs. Maybe in Mako??
This the 55th book in this fascinating series and what an intriguing journey this is. This is a well written flawless story which had me invested throughout. I highly recommend this talented authors for
What is not to love about Crow? Prospect to the kings? Hot as he'll and ready to fight for his place with the club and his new women, but things aren't as they seem with crow. Can his women and club ever trust him again after they find out?
I liked the author in this one. While is was a simple read the dialogue and characters were good. I also liked the twist I didn’t see that coming. Would have been nice to have that fleshed out but this whole series has been quick reads.
You're in for a surprise with Crow, after you read wht its is you'll understand - Maybelline was in for a surprise, she blames the Kings for her parents death.
Crow threw out some twists I didn't see coming. He was not who I thought he was. His girl is shy and light to his dark. I would like to see more from Dime.
