Mia Downing started creating heroes at age four, but her heroes back then rode ponies to the rescue and only kissed her on the cheek. Today, Mia’s heroes still rescue those in need, but the price of their toys and the expertise of their seduction leads to a whole lot more.

Marek Young needed his partner to survive and for that he needed to gain her trust and make her remember. Intense emotions were present at every moment and little by little what was behind Marek's feelings and Skye's doubts and despair were revealed. This is the first story I read about characters who were time travelers and in addition to enjoying the complex and intriguing relationship between Marek and Skye, I learned some differences about what it is to travel in time and those who are dedicated to time travel. Interesting the dynamics between the protagonists, the energy issues and the dangers that the work of traveling in time entailed. I liked the outcome of the adventure and got interested in more time travelers. Voluntarily reviewed this copy that I received free from Candid Reviews.

I haven’t read a time traveling book before but this had me intrigued and curious.
Skye and Marek’s story always deep and not a simple one. Their love lost was heartbreaking, only for me to wish it would be sewn back together.

As I read, there were a lot of puzzle pieces I enjoyed putting together but I did catch myself feeling a little overwhelmed at times. There are a lot of details that go into the time traveling and it is shown here. Their relationship did have a good amount of angst and many well planned, surprising twists that always pull me further into the book.

Even with time traveling not my cup of tea, this book was enjoyable.

This Time Travel story has an interesting premise with a lot of supporting detail. I received an ARC copy in mid-afternoon and read it almost straight through - well, I did stop for dinner! But I could hardly put it down because I had to know what would happen next. There is an unexpected and very satisfying twist, for a perfect ending. I hope we do not need to wait too long for the second book in the series!

I LOVED this book. Mia Downing is an amazing writer and I was caught up in this story from start to finish. I wasn’t sure about the time-traveling aspect but it worked so well for her story. The romance was wonderfully depicted and I was cheering for Marek and Skye to get their HEA. There’s also a little mystery I was dying to figure out and I wasn’t disappointed once the truth was revealed at the end. Loved, loved, loved and highly recommend.

While I am typically not a fan of time travel, this book was good. I was thrown a lot of description about the aspect of time traveling and I always love learning about the events surrounding a story. The love aspect was complex which isn’t a bad thing! It was heartbreaking, emotional and deep. I love complicated love stories. I like when love isn’t easy, you gotta fight for it, break from it and heal from it!

Just finished an ARC of this book. I was hooked from the first page, and I couldn’t put it down. No chores were done, no meals were fixed. I was simply swept away into this magical world with a wonderfully sweet hero, and his saucy heroine. Sigh. Marek is awesome. Mia Downing, I’ve licked him and now he’s mine.

Such an interesting tale, it started slowly and then it took off and I really enjoyed the second half. A well written fantasy...or is it? The author weaves this magical tale answering all the questions I had while thinking how did this happen? Great characters, exciting drama in the latter pages and a wonderful twist.

I'll start this by admitting I've been getting bored with all the time-travel romances. BUT (and a massive one at that) Ms. Downing's take on time-travelling was refreshing. Malek and Skye's story was perfect on all ends.
I ate this book up!

time travel romance with lots of twists

I loved Marek and Skye’s story and their well-deserved happy ending! The second half was full of twists and turns and juicy time travel paradoxes.
