Love these Star Wars stories. Not really following the tie-in, but I will go along with it. This is my favorite time frame for Star Wars. Was not crazy about the last 3. Shifted the focus away from the Skywalkers and towards the emperor. Nah, not for me.

”General Organa can talk about hope all she wants, but it feels like the Empire’s about two victories away from ending us for good. The Rebellion needs a win. A real one.”

While Leia, Lando and Chewie travel to the auction arranged by Crimson Dawn, Luke Skywalker joins the Starlight Squadron to help them liberate rebel troops who are under attack by the Empire. While on the mission, Luke sees a peculiar vision, warning him of what's to come.

This was an alright, fun issue, explaining what Luke has been up to since we last saw him. I liked seeing the Starlight pilots again - especially Wedge Antilles, since he is one of my favorites - and getting a good old pilot story for a change. I liked the banter between the crew and how they worked together. I also liked the twist at the end - the fact that amongst the people

Though I love Luke and I loved seeing Wedge, this issue wasn't anything super impressive or memorable. It was a fun story with a few great twists and some nice moments for Luke and the other pilots. I just want Luke to join Leia and the others at the Crimson Dawn auction already and for that story to keep going!

Don’t be fooled by the cover, Boba Fett is barely in this and this is very much a tie-in to the War Of The Bounty Hunters in name only. Still, that’s not really a bad thing as this book is really more caught up in its own thing.

The Rebel Alliance continues the search for the missing parts of its fleet, which takes them to a world that was effectively rendered lifeless during the great hyperspace disaster during the High Republic (because everything has to connect to that in some way right now). They find the 11th Division under siege by the Empire, but one of the troops on the ground has a bright idea for how the pilots of Starlight Squadron can take down the Imperial Star Destroyer that looms above them.

This is a solid, action-packed issue with great art and writing. A thoroughly enjoyable romp that focuses on Starlight Squadron and Luke Skywalker. Luke’s crisis of confidence as his encounters with Vader play on his mind, causing him to miss a vital shot, is particularly well executed.

Good writing, good art…what more could you ask for?

One of the better generic run titles. Read purely for the tie in to Bounty Hunter War. The references to the movies are becoming a little too much in Soule's narratives though. Be nice if there was some more originality. 3 out of 5 stars

Some great starfighter pilot action, and Luke hesitating when facing Vader.
