Good fluff. Didn’t go much in details about healing of Draco or Hermione post war. The book did discuss about it since a lot of conversations were centred around it but here the blossoming of relationship between Draco and Hermione took centre stage. Their first interaction was when they laid eyes on one another in muggles studies, Hermione didnt like that Draco started 8th year and was in muggle studies but slowly and surely, they got to know one another and as they talked more they became friends and realised they were attracted to one another.
The olive branch started with Draco tentatively seeking help with his muggle studies assignment and they grudgingly agreed to study together in the library when they realised they study rather well together. Draco offered to help Hermione with the castle rebuilding efforts when she was determined to go ahead while others has given up because of certain reasons. With each passing interaction, Hermione unconsciously started to draw away from Ron.
Ron’s characterisation is rather well done. Unlike most Dramione fanfic which painted him to be an inconsiderate and pathetic loser that fly off the handle whenever he laid his eyes on Draco. In this book his emotions were justified and he was shown to be a good and an understanding friend. In the end he accepted Draco and Hermione’s relationship and the reason why the both of them were perfect for one another.
All in all its a good fanfic, I just wish that Draco’s family dynamics were explored more and also the other characters’ stories as well.
this was a cute fluffy story + i’m weak for 8th year fics.
i wish some stuff was explored more, like hermione and her parents or draco and his family situation but overall it was very sweet and a nice break from the rather toxic fics.
i adored the romantic relationship between pansy and parvati like yes lesbian!pansy means sm to me my girl. and also loved parvati and hermiones friendship, which is fanon incredibly underrated so i’m glad it was added here. also i think the whole arc around ron was really well done and just underlining the confusion of platonic and romantic love and all the struggles of not wanting to hurt the people you love. + i know some will probs just brush ron away as an asshole, which he def was at times, but most his feelings were very valid considering he was dating her while all this was going on so yeah i think his development was really well done.
nothing too memorable and deep tho for me to rate it higher, but i truly loved the first 75% or so! the smut was kinda meh to me tho and im just a girl so it downgraded the fic itself for me LOL
I will never be mean to authors in this app. I believe this fic is good, it’s just not what I prefer. I enjoyed the story. I’m just overly dramatic and if you’re not, this fic is for you !
3.5 It was alright. 8th year au where everyone goes back. Draco's essay made me cry, I was very sad for Ron throughout and the last chapter made me fucking bawl like a baby. Also McGonaggal and Luna <3 One star is literally not there because halfway through the cryfest of last chapter i realised that Hagrid is not there in this book at all and then Snape and Dumbledore are not even mentioned in this celebration of heroes party.
Reading all these dramione books sometimes makes me think in the middle of a chapter how i would love to see Harry's pov and i realise that's what the canon is so idk maybe i should just read canon next.
My first 8th year fic, and I have to say I absolutely loved it! Honestly, this felt like a continuation of the original series, just told from Hermione's perspective – the writing felt very similar, the tone and content felt like YA and it had just the right mix of character and plot.
I love this one for so many reasons. First, it feels like the most true to the characters fic I've read to date, and the most believable - Draco without his cronies or any other Slytherins perfectly poised him for softening to Hermione, and OMG the depiction of Ron and Hermione's relationship, of seeing and understanding firsthand why it wouldn't work between them (we all knew it wouldn't, but it was so satisfying to see that play out in detail)! I liked the metaphor of healing the school and healing themselves from the trauma of the war. Most of all, I loved Hermione's evolving self-discovery as it pertained to her sexuality. Her ick (aka "the itch") for Ron felt so real to me, as did her whole journey of exploring her sexual side with Draco (which, admittedly, wasn't the best smut I've ever read, but the percentage and tone of it were perfectly proportioned).
I just can't get over how well-done this was. As a predominantly YA reader, this hit the spot. Also, as much as I love fics with Blaise and Theo, it was really nice to keep the main gang close (Ginny, Neville, Luna and co), rather than have to pretend to know and love the Slytherin characters, which I've found to be a super common trope with Dramione fics.
- 8th year - F.U.C. (fixer-upper club), repairing the damage to Hogwarts - getting the "itch" with Ron - no other Slytherins - authentic, repentant Draco (takes muggle studies) - fleeting mention of Arthur Weasley becoming the new muggle studies teacher!!

I loved this story. So sweet and pure. I liked Hermione and Draco and the progress of the friendship. All the characters are very similar to the ones of the book. I really enjoyed it.
Just amazing! Most accurate character depictions I’ve seen in a fan fiction. Honestly worth the read, it’s great to see Hermione and Draco each making mistakes. Ron isn’t perfect in this fic but none of them are which is great to read! Seriously recommend!
Another solid Dramione fic! I loved the way that the author incorporated the students fixing up the castle, because it 100% seems like something that Hermione would do.
Super cosy, so sweet, a couple moments genuinely got me choked up and a comedic edge I didn’t expect. A little Ron heavy for my liking but it makes sense to the story.
