Very cute! This is one of my favorites of this series, so far. I like Ruby and Bee’s relationship. They’re the best of friends and complement each other well. I also enjoy “hearing” Maddie’s squealing laugh. The characters all have individual personalities.

Bee and Ruby are travelers. Bee is a baker and Ruby is the driver of their dessert food truck. The two have been traveling around the nation for a couple years now. Currently they are in the town of Yesterday. They have been staying in Yesterday for a couple months now asks plan to stay at least one more month.

A new hardware store is opening, but only minutes before the official opening Ruby and Bee found the hardware store owner dead in his store. Also, Bee’s Private homemade recipe was found in the deceased’s hand. There are several people Bee and Ruby suspect to be the killer. Oh! Did I forget to mention Bee and Ruby always get to the heart of the matter and help local law enforcement find the killer?! Amateur sleuths. However, they’ve helped bring down dozens of killers, so maybe they aren’t so amateur anymore?

The recipe found in the man’s dead hand…is it a clue to who killed the man? After all, there is a new lady in town who plans to open her own bakery - competition for the food truck. Maybe Bee and Ruby killed him because he stole Bee’s recipe? Or was it the new baker that shot and killed the man?

Leave it up to Bee and Ruby to butt in and get answers. Someone special visited the ladies at the end of this story. I’m sure the next book will include this very special person as another homocide ensues.

It’s Independence Day in Yesterday and another murder is on the horizon, I’m sure. Read what happens in book 20 “Red, White ‘n Blue Murder”.

The 19th book in a laugh out loud cozy mystery series that grabs you and doesn't let go until you have reached the end! The characters, Cantankerous Bee and the nice even tempered Ruby are a great pair in the bakery truck. Still in the town of Yesterday, they meet the new owner of the town hardware store and were invited to the grand opening the next day. Feeling this is a good way to get customers to their truck, they decide to bring a tray of their delicious caramel apple slices to the opening. When they get there, they find the new owner lying dead across the counter, but in his hand is Bee's secret recipe ripped out of her special cookbook. And in comes the local sheriff with a newly arrived detective who's personality leaves a lot to be desired. He is not only by the book but his demeanor is nasty and of course he puts Bee up there as his first suspect since the deceased is holding a copy of her recipe. The detective also tells Bee and Ruby to keep out of the investigation and out of his way. Far be that from happening since they want to clear Bee's name and the rumor mill silently believes Bee is guilty and stay away from the bakery truck. So they set out and are led on a wild ride trying to put the puzzle pieces together, red herring after red herring. This is a fun series while you laugh at the in your face Bee and her no nonsense demeanor! I can't wait to see what will happen next! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Laugh Out Loud Cozy Mystery with Yummy Bakery in small town of Yesterday!!!

Caramel Apple Murder is Book 19 in A Bite-sized Bakery Cozy Mystery Series so you know it has to be GOOD, it can also be read as a standalone.

Ruby Holmes & Bee Pine are running a bakery food truck in a small town of Yesterday, when Susie-Lee Sawyer is opening a new bakery in town soon, Ruby & Bee are talking about conflict of interests and thinking about leaving town but things happen.

Ruby & Bee take some of their delicious caramel apple slices to Joe Jacobsen's newly opened hardware store and find that Joe is killed and he is holding Bee's top-secret recipe for Delightful Donuts that incriminate Bee. When Detective Pope from Philadelphia comes down to Yesterday to help with the case thinks that Bee is the prime suspect, Ruby and Bee need to work fast to figure out the truth of Joe's murder before Detective Pope lock Bee up for the crime she didn't commit.

I really like this book, it's fun, fast-paced, light heart cozy mystery full with delightful characters and delicious bakery. It is very entertaining and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend it to any cozy mystery fans.

Who Killed Joe Jacobsen ? . . .

Once again, it’s never a dull moment for these two ladies! Ruby and Bee take a tray of their apple caramel slices to the opening of a hardware store in the town of Yesterday. Unfortunately, they find the dead body of Joe Jacobsen, the store owner, lying across the counter with Bee's top-secret recipe for Delightful Donuts crumpled in his hand. This doesn’t look good at all!

The new detective in town right away zeroes in on Bee as his prime suspect! Detective Pope is rude and arrogant. But even the townspeople are starting to think Bee is the murderer. When the detective later arrests the victim’s brother, it gives Ruby and Bee more time to track down the real killer. Will they figure out who it is in time?

Another wonderful cozy mystery in this series! Great characters we all know and love, along with a fast-paced plot and a mystery to tackle, keeps the reader avidly following along trying to figure out who did what and why! Grab your copy and join the hunt for the murderer! And be standing in the crowd to chuckle when the nasty detective finds out he guessed the wrong suspect… twice!

Great story, can be a stand alone book! received as an ARC this is my honest review.
Bee and Ruby operate a Bite-sized Bakery food truck. They are currently at Yesterday PA doing business, staying at a local Inn, Mattie the owner has an UNUSUAL LAUGH, you must read it to understand. Bee is a Baker ex-policewoman who has a special recipe that is a closely guarded secrect. They go to an opening of a new hardware store to find the body of the bussiness with Bee's secrect resipe in hand stolen from her book. As the girls work to prove their innocent, the clues build up, leading them to unrevel the clues that Decetive Poop -oops- Pope is bumbling and going to the press to be "open about what the investigation" is going to. He seems to forget the basic invesgation: who has the most to gain? Who will benifit? Why would they want to kill the owner on the first day? Will the "girls" solve it before the "professional?"Read it to find out! you will want to back track to get the rest of the stories!

While still in Yesterday, Bee and Ruby intend on visiting the opening of a local hardware store in town. When they arrive at the store, the lights are on and the door is open but no one can be found. Unfortunately, walking up to the front counter they find the body of the owner lying across it. Oh, no, here we go again! The worst surprise is when they find him holding one of Bee’s top secret recipes in his hand. On top of this, a new detective is handling the case and he, at first, suspects Bee as the murdered. Join Bee and Rudy as they try to clear Bee’s name investigating the murder. This was an enjoyable read. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged.

Another good cozy mystery in this series.

This time Ruby and Bee find Joe Jacobsen on the floor of his brand new hardware store. Joe recently married wealthy Delilah and she gave him the money to open his store. Also tossed into the suspect pool are his new stepson Andy Tolsen, his brother Beau who inherits the store and Susie-Lee Sawyer who is having an affair with Joe. To make matters more complicated for the ladies, Joe is clutching Bee's recipe for donuts when his body is found. A detective from Philadelphia is brought in by the sheriff and he just wants to arrest the most likely suspect and get back to the city.

I loved Ruby and Bee. This story was really crazy to me. Yesterday is a cool small town vibe type of place but it turns into a nightmare for Bee and Ruby, when Bee is accused of murder. What's the truth? Are Bee and Ruby really serial killers? After all murder follows them where ever they go! I loved seeing them and their friends again. I liked the sheriff but hated the new detective. He is a bit of an idiot. I did enjoy this story and I would recommend this story to others because it is sweet and a satisfyingly cozy murder mystery.

Yesterday, home of the giant silver radish statue, is finally getting a hardware store and maybe also a bakery

well wishes coincide with theft and murder, and chaos is all in the family

with a new detective from Philadelphia in town, will the murder rate drop in yesterday, or will the ladies just turn up the heat?

Jaime pops up. Is romance on the menu, or something else?

Food, community craziness, and sisterhood sleuthing

Bea and Ruby are at it again. Still in the town of Yesterday and a new hardware store is opening. They decide to take some goodies for the grand opening to promote their Bite Size Bakery Truck. However, when they walk in the store it appears empty. They find the owner shot in the back, clutching one of Bea secret recipes. Of course that makes them prime suspects of the new detective in town and they have to find the true guilty party. Join in this fun, fast paced mystery as they investigate who would have motive to kill the owner. This is another enjoyable cozy mystery with Bea and Ruby.

Ruby and Bee had to work quickly to find the killer before the new arrogant detective could arrest Bee for the murder of a guy who was found holding her secret donut recipe.

I never did settle on whodunit until closer to the reveal. The showdown was pretty exciting, but the detective of course wasn't going to give the girls credit for catching the killer. We found out how and who was behind Bee's recipe getting stolen--now I just hope that new bakery coming doesn't cause problems for them. It'll be interesting to see what happens! Always eager and ready to borrow the next in KU!

Ruby and Bee finds themselves in a sticky situation that has nothing to do with their Caramel Apple slices. Bee's secret recipe in the hands of the victim when he died makes her a person of interest affecting business. When that happens, we all know that they will not stop until the real killer is behind bars even if a false arrest of another takes the heat off of them.

These stories with Ruby and Dee are always fun to read. Because they move their food truck to new towns on a regular basis, they often meet new and interesting people. This time, the dead body has one of Dee’s recipes in his hand, so she quickly becomes a prime suspect for the new detective in town. Of course, that means the duo just have to investigate to clear their name. Looking forward to more adventures. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing this book and all opinions are strictly my own.

Bea and Ruby are now suspects in another murder. They found the body and he had one of their recipes in his hand, so the new detective is jumping to conclusions. The characters are fun and inventive in their search for clues and suspects. The storyline is well detailed so you feel like part of the town. A few surprises and twists hold it all together. Loved the ending.

Another good entry in the bite-sized bakery series. A new hardware store is set to open but on the day of the grand opening, the owner is found dead on the floor behind the counter with Bee’s prized doughnut recipe clutched in his hand and of course, ruby and Bee are the ones to find the body. They also figure out who the murderer is and the police finally do as well. Ruby’s boyfriend comes to town. Looking forward to their next adventure.

Ruby and Bee just wanted to help with the Hardware Store opening and perhaps get more business for themselves. What they found was another dead body! Now the new detective in town thinks they are the killer! We meet the new detective in Yesterday, and he is not all that likable. Can they get out of this mess without ending up behind bars? Another murder, another awesome book. This time it’s personal for Bee & Ruby. The deceased has something that belongs to one of them which cause the new detective to suspect that they might be involved this time. Join the girls and they crazy cast of characters in Yesterday, Pennsylvania as they try to figure out what really happened. I look forward to the next book.
