Concise and interesting! It is a lot of information, yet it is organized in a way that makes it easy to explore. I found it helpful for decoding your natal chart for life purpose. Now I can take that information and see where it takes me. It will be a great reference tool to have moving forward as well.

I loved how the author explained everything down to my level. She explained so much so well with no overwhelm. I highly recommend this book.

I found this book accessible and interesting mainly for beginners looking at career and vocational purpose through the lens of astrology. It's cookbook style, so you're going to learn less about integrating the information in your chart (there are a few suggestions, but not much depth) than individual descriptions of your personal placements.

I wouldn't recommend for astrologers. The "Cosmic Calling Formula" isn't an innovative tool, just sun / moon / AC / MC with topic-specific descriptions, and some may disagree with the framing (of the AC in particular). These are introduced well for newbies, but there's nothing extra on the art of interpreting in a career context or how these elements of career might fit together practically.

For newbies, there's a LOT packed in: after the four key placements, Walstein covers all the planets, the nodes, Chiron, and Pallas Athena. Looking up your placements can be really fun, but also potentially confusing. There's a risk of over-emphasizing planets and points, especially since personal vs. outer planets aren't broken down. The descriptions themselves vary—for example, I found the take on Moon and Mars placements really useful and on point, while the Venus descriptions honestly confused me. Nothing super off or harmful, but if you're considering this book as someone without astrology knowledge just be open to the fact that there are other interpretations! Some house keywords are limiting, and in some places there's maybe an overemphasis on interpreting a sign as what you want to create for others vs. how/what you create independently.

The beauty of this book as a tool is in pulling together all the information about your own chart, considering it together, asking yourself what resonates, and doing some self-exploration guided by what you've synthesized. Thinking about your core identity vs. the impact you want to make on the world vs. what you need in a work environment vs. what motivates you, for example, is a really interesting exercise!

Natalie's breakdowns of every sign and house, plus her special formula for piecing it all together, makes *finding your cosmic calling* as straightforward as can be! Imagine formulating a mission statement for your life, and being able to decode it for others as well... This book is a must-have for anyone who wants to dive into astrology, or anyone who is tired of the old ways of looking at birth charts. Her spin is positive and motivating, perfect for where humanity is at right now, and where we need to go 💫

"The Cosmic Calling Formula is the combination of your Sun, Moon, Rising Sign & Career Line which can be used to give you an overview of your overall calling in this lifetime.

I break them each down for you using my signature simple, soulful interpretations so you can better understand who you are & what your true soul-level role is in this lifetime.

For example, when I found out that, as a Sagittarius Rising, I was meant to be a guide to others, it was a TOTAL game-changer for me!"

I really enjoyed the layout and covering the different planets, signs and houses. I really liked that the author touched base on the meaning of retrograde planets in the natal chart. Although briefly covered on each planet, it was great to see that it was included and touched upon. At the end of the book the author also includes a description of all the different glyphs in astrology, and key words to what each of the houses mean. The descriptions provide were very compact. A little too compact for a topic that has so much depth. There was too much white space which could have been filled with more comprehensive information and guidance. While it was incredibly refreshing to see an astrology book on career paths instead of love, there could have been so much more in-depth information could have been covered. I'm surprised that there was no mention of second and sixth house cusps and their respective roles.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

*Thank you to netgalley and the publishers/author for giving me an ARC in return for an honest review*

A quaint, compact book that covers the more advanced details of astrology and what signs and charts mean for people.

It was very fun to read through, to pick out both myself and my friends' birth charts- as well as reading overall what different placements reflect within someone.

It could have been a little more in depth in regards to some of the more obscure terminology, as well as start a conversation on how to relate one placement to another and how they may impact each other- but I respect this is a topic that could fill a shelf worth of books and that is why it might not have been included.

An easy read with nice visuals.

This is a lovey visual book in parts. However it is not, in my opinion, for a beginner. Whilst I liked reading about my own sign and loved ones signs, I felt this was more of a how to book. How to do your own chart etc rather than a reference book.

Unless you have to time to stop at each stage to do as instructed then it will take a while to go through this book. There is emphasis on knowing your exact birth time which hardly anyone I know actually knows. I may reference this in the future but at the moment is it too in-depth for me.

I was provided this book by netgalley for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC of Find Your Cosmic Calling by Natalie Walstein!

This is a great book for beginner who don’t know anything about their horoscope and birth chart. Everything is very clearly explained and easily understood. There were some points that I did t know about like the north and south node, so even though I’ve read several books on this subject, I was able to learn something new.

I recommend this book to anyone who is looking to learn about their birth chart and some suggestions on what their job or calling might be.

After awhile I sort of knew what to expect in the interpretation of a sign in a house, and the planets in the signs and the houses, as if she's just plugging in words to a narrative already written, like a word game. But it is easy to understand and it covers the necessary basics for understanding how all this works. For those who feel their life should be doing something else other than what they are doing, this might help them find out what that is. (I'm thinking that if the cosmos call you, you will know it. But maybe you don't hear it. This book might help open your ear.)

Thank you Netgalley and Quarto Publishing for this copy of Find Your Cosmic Calling. This year I want to get more into astrology and this book was a good start. If you want a introduction, this was a quick read. If you want to take it a step further, have your birth chart ready so you can look up your exact planets for a more detailed reading.

Thank you, NetGalley for the chance to read and review this book!

I feel like having my own copy to reference would be really great, so that I can try to look up things. It's very basic and made for newbies, but really does a good job as an introduction. It also really made me feel like I need to look up my time of birth again because I don't know if I agree with my chart.

I've read a lot of astrology books and I felt that things were a bit more clear on the why I have had troubles trying to find a career path, my Neptune is my only retrograde planet in my 2nd house of Sagittarius. I have retrograde asteroids but not ones mentioned in the book. Trying to work on myself at this point in life and still maintain an understanding toward my purpose.

This was a fun read with colours that drew me in! The book is set out clearly to help get the best out of all the information provided and the sections were helpful. However , I only took more notice of the signs relevant to me.

This book is eye opening. You can either read it cover to cover like I did or you can just read your sign. Either way works but personally I think you will “get” more if you read it all. It’s so fascinating to learn about all the signs.

This was so interesting to try. I've never been good at the astrological houses and rising signs, but this book did an awesome job of laying it out. I took was resonated and left what didn't and I feel better for it.

This is not for everybody. However, if you give any credence to astrology, Natalie makes it easy to use and lays out an easy to follow formula to help identify your calling.
