Upgraded by a Gangsta 2: Finale

Great Read
This was a great ending to a great series. Still enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Held my attention from beginning to end and I hated to see the end. It was so many secrets revealed and twist and turns, that kept me wondering what's happening next. So glad that Shanika, Onyx and Yoson, got exactly what they deserved. Also, I was glad to see Millz and Kenan, overcame their beef. I loved how everything turned out and they got their happy ending. Highly recommend this series. Great job Dedra B.

This book picked right up where part 2 left off and kept bringing the drama left and right... It read at a nice fast pace and kept me on my toes... I mean they had lots of secrets, lies, backstabbing, cheating and so much more...
I really liked Kardy... I hated that she was so weak... Even when she was trying to be all tough it didn't feel right... I mean she had a really good heart... I just think that she allowed everyone to just walk all over her... But I guess she was strong enough to change a street man into a family man...
Millz had everyone on his tail... Either trying to be with him or to get rid of him... He had so many people that were jealous of him... And he had lots of snakes around him... I mean with all the friends and family stabbing him in the back, he sure didn't need anymore enemies... Then people were out here lying on him because of their jealousy... Brought so much danger and drama to his door... And for the craziest reasons...
Shanika was just a whole hot mess... And her mother didn't help to make it any better... Then with her always trying to prove to everyone that she is better than them... Just for it to go to far and cause her to lose everything... I mean she even looked down on her mother and cousin... Then to do what she did to her cousin... And this is suppose to be like her sister... Man I would hate to see how she does an enemy... Well we can all see what all those snake moves and big head got her... And of course her mother helped her to be in the position that she ended up in... All of this was for what... A man that no longer wanted her... Now look at her...
Now as for Onyx... I am so disappointed in him and how he was moving the whole time... Like why would he continue to do his brother the way he does... All his brother ever did was be in his corner and try to help him... But did Onyx appreciate that at all... nope... He thought he was smarter and better than Millz... He hated him and wanted to be him all at the same time... Now look where all his not so smart moves got him...
I can say that everyone definitely got what they deserved in the end... I was glad to see that after everything that Kardy went through... She was finally able to come out on top and got so much more than she could have ever imagined... Millz became the man that he never knew he could be...

Good People Will Always Win In The End!
Dedra, this finale was everything for me. Every question I had was answered, some twist I wasn't expecting, some situations and relationships ended and some new began. I thought Onyx had been molested as a child I just never thought it was by the man that raised him. I could see why he felt as he did, but his hatred toward Millz was so deep in his head he needed help but instead of trying to actually get help he chose to blame his brother for all his defects.
Kardy had been through so much with Ron she didn't trust Millz would love her for real. Letting her guards down allowed her to learn to receive love from him.
Shanika thought she would keep having both brother's at her beck and call. Millz left her alone and she realized the only thing she had as leverage was Diamond, she made that babies life miserable because Diamond was being loved on by Kardy and Shanika couldn't take it. She got her Karma in the best way.
Yoson was the biggest snake of them all he wanted Millz spot so bad he made up a beef that was nonexistent between Kenan and Millz fortunately they figured it out before Kenan or Millz killed one another. His Karma was befitting for his mess he created. Millz was so hurt about his brother's secret life he allowed his anger to get the best and inadvertently caused TK life.
So many trials that they went through, Kardy and Millz was able to overcome all of it. I'm so glad Kenan and Millz are a friend and family now.
If you were thinking of a spinoff Macy and Kenan story would be great! Great Job.

A wonderful and joyful read!
Everything in this finale was great. From all of our answers being given in a timely matter to all parties getting exactly what they deserved, this story came out flawless.
One thing though that was bothering me, for how tight Mina was to Kardy, what’s her story? What does she have going on besides that she worked in Walmart and babysit Kay Kay sometimes specially since she has kids. We went through the whole book with glimpse of her while Macy just popped in on the finale and she was already out there and being present! Just like Kenan who ended up being with Macy when he should have been paired with Mina, which would have made sense.
In any case, I was finally happy that Onyx was able to be with his mother.
What I really liked with this author was that she brought out the realest demeanor of her characters; like take Millz for example, the way he went after everyone who touched his heart was so real because you best believe in real life there is so much that the justice department can do for one while you found yourself that in the hood, in the streets, usually it is justice to go after the annoying matter. It’s not all fiction with this author, again great job!!!!

Girl you did that! Man I hated that he has slick kill his brother but his brother truly did t get the help he needed and it was either kill or be killed! He was trying to start his family so he had to do what he had to do! It’s sad though because you would think that siblings could get over anything but the thing he did it was no way you can just get over it! Lord who would of thought that mills would offer his opp the position to be the lead and he turns it down as well because he tired of living that life as well! Them boys have been to thru much and they just wanted to be happy and alive at the end of the day! Man yoson was something else telling all the lies to play both people and look at where he ended up! But baby the kicker was Ciara shooting millz! He never said anything that was for her own feelings! She knew her man was messing with onxy and she was willing to still marry him! I guess she was helping her to feel better by almost killing millz because tk killer himself! But he met her live and it was for the best! Great job

Tha Pretty Pen Pusha has done it again. Ones just didn't know when to give up, let go and move on. Millz gave him many chances and even spared his life when he should have been swimming with the fishes a long time ago. I'm glad Kenan and Millz squashed their beef when it was built on lies anyway. Shanika was just as dumb as Onyx. With all the dirt she done did she should have walked away peacefully but I guess she wanted to see what Millz was really made of. I love lil miss Diamond, lil mama be having allll tha tea. I love Kardy. She deserves all the happiness and success in the world. I love how she treated Diamond like her own with no complaints. This was a great book.💟💟

Man the twists and turns had my mouth to the ground. Onyx was something else. He did all this mess because he was battling his own demons but underestimated the one person he spent his whole life tryna be like. Shanika really signed her own death certificate going to the cops. Thank God Macy popped back up when she did. Yoson was just one bad apple that spoiled the bunch! He surely learn the hard way who wants all gets none. Kardy finally got her happily ever after! She deserve it all and I'm so glad Millz did right by her! It's Mrs. Derrick Millz to y'all! Great series

Apart Of Me Felt Bad For Onyx...His Step Father Really Did A Number On Him But He Was Hating The Wrong Person Which Was Millz. All The Betrayal Onyx Did Was Cause He Wanted To Be Like His Brother And He Also Was Mad Millz Got Treated Better Than Him As A Kid. Satisfied Reader
It gets no better than this. I laughed,cried and screamed but all that comes with a good book. The hatred and jealousy was at an all time high. Kardy was met with obstacles left and right and she overcame each one. Onyx showed that nobody was gon mess with his family and live to tell it. Onyx got a second chance but the hate he had caused his demise. He should’ve kept it moving. I was happy when Kenan finally reconciled cuz it was tearing Kardy up cuz she loved them both wholeheartedly. Great Job

A good series to read
I enjoy this book series I’m glad that Millz and Kardy were able to be together and have that true unconditionally love they both deserved it especially dealing with their crazy ex’s as far as Onyx he was cray cray he used his past to his advantage to be jealous and envy towards his half brother even thought Millz dad molested him I know it’s hard to get over being traumatized he made his choice to hurt his brother I’m so many ways and it costed him his life right along with with the others that cross Millz

another page turnout
For this book not to be long it was packed with drama and secrets from the front to the back. That Onyx and Shanika were two evil people. I wish Kardy got her revenge on her own baby daddy the way he stole money from her and beat her. This was one book where you think you had the characters figured out and boom another bomb was dropped. I felt sorry for Millz because he was surrounded by some coniving people. I am also happy about the truth being revealed and Kardy and Millz got their happy ending.

Millz is definitely Bae!!! I love him. He did not play about laying somebody down. I love how he took care of Kardy and her family. I love how they both loved each other’s daughters. I hate that Onyx got messed up as a kid and how he envied his own brother. He literally did entirely too much. He was a straight up snake. I’m glad Kenan & Millz were able to squash their beef. Love love loved it. This whole series was good and I'm glad to see Millz and Kardy prosper because it was so many people around them that just wasn't right. I know it crushed him to hear his brother say what he said to him while he was laid up in the hospital. Kardy done opened up her buisness and is doing great things and the family is finally at peace and I loved every page ❤.

Yay finally a decent book!
I read several books from this genre every week and this was finally a Good Read! There were a few plot inconsistencies and a couple places where the dialogue felt unneeded because it did nothing to advance the story but I would definitely recommend. I loved that this story focused on more then whether Kardy would be Millz ride or die. I also loved that this book showed a plutonic male/female relationship

HEA💘
The end was good, and if filled a lot blanks that I had from book 1. So many people had hate in this book, an so many people turning on each other...woo. in the end a good HEA came. I dont want to give it away but friends are not always friends ...when you read it you will see. The pace was good it slowed a bit in the 60 % range but it worked it's way back. I wanted a little bit more although I did enjoy it.

This was one of the most beautiful endings I have read in a long time. Karma was served to the ones that deserved it, you reap what you sow. I enjoyed and recommend this five star read, but I encourage you to read book 1 first. Character development well written. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Shanika and Onyx were definitely out of their minds...Onyx was too damaged by his stepfather which caused his jealousy...Shanika was too greedy to just get it on her own...Kardy & Millz were definitely a ride or die for each other...I'm glad Keenan & Millz were able to fix things...but yep that damn Onyx & Yoson had to go

I can not believe how lowdown Onyx kept baking after he got a pass.for his grimy ways. Kardy got.what she deserved and that's happiness and the love. Shanika stanky self deserved what she got. Kenan turned out to be alright after all just an overprotective brother looking out for his sister.

I love it. This book gets 10 stars. Man that brother was a whole hater out here. How could you hate your own flesh and blood like that . Let's not forget the hater old friend. How could he be mad that he got sent up state and only got offered 100k. If it was up to me he would not have gotten nothing. Be careful who you call your friends.

Good read but I wanted more explaining for all the drama and confusion like I needed a better reason for yoshon to be so vindictive then him being mad about getting only a 100 grand when he came home and how could he not put 2&2 together when it came to his brother and shanika

It’s sad how shanika had to past away but her heart was full of hatred and if she could win she didn’t want any1 else to win either. And onxy .. betrays his brother smh!!!!

OMG
Part 2 was way better than part 1. I could not put this book down I loved everything about Turn down. I really wish Onyx could have turned it around However Milz Got the love Extended bonus family. I'm glad that Kardi brother found Macy I would love to hear a story about them

When things seem like it get no better some one come along to open your eyes to better yourself Millax was that man whatever the streets bring he was always there for his so called wife they been shot set-up etc they still came out strong and they’re still going strong and happy very good book🙏🏽

I so glad the twins made it. I felt bad for Shanika and Simone because they couldn't see money wasn't everything. Im glad Millz seen handle his brother. I'm also happy everyone got the happy ending they deserved
