Where can you turn when you find yourself trapped?

When a certain blond enters my life again, all hell breaks loose.

He makes all hell break loose.

He's gorgeous, spoiled, and believes he's entitled to me. The girl who dared to turn him down. But he's mistaken if he thinks I'll abandon four devoted men to run away with his manipulative self.

He wants to show me the world. He wants to show me the past, too. Because there are things I still don't know and wounds that are too fresh. It's information the others have kept from me, and information he's willing to share.

All I know is I have to find a way out. Turns out that's pretty difficult when you've been hauled across an ocean and dragged to an entirely different country...

5 Boys on the Beach is the fourth Reverse Harem Romance novel in the 5 Boys series. It is not a standalone. It features dollops of angst, continuing storylines and MM. #whychoose?

Okay, so this book has been my least favourite of the series so far. It took a dramatic turn which actually bordered on ridiculous and too far-fetched for my liking. I can’t stand Adam and didn’t enjoy him having a bigger part in this book at all. I want to get back to the relationship between Kat, Leon, Seth, Tarek and Conor.
I do love that the men are focusing on their feelings for each other and spending more time together outside of their relationship with Kat.
One more book to go, let’s see how this story ends.

Just when you are getting somewhere another massive swerve to somewhere else. I can't believe that it has been left there! Can't wait for the next instalment.

Wow... I feel like this story keeps getting crazier and crazier.

I hate Adam. Ugh, I thought maybe his situation would’ve been something different, but no. He’s a dick. The whole idea of what he did/does to get ahead makes me sick. I feel terrible for Tarek, how he was manipulated because of his feelings.

I really hope the last book ends in a good way. There was a little too much drama in this one. There needs to be more steamy scenes with all 4 guys and Kat together.

Wow. This series keeps getting deeper. This one was quite a bit darker than the others, but we finally get to see into the minds of the guys, and see why they are the way that they are. Definitely worth the read. I can't wait for the conclusion!

this one is only slightly better than the rest, but it’s mostly because we finally get to see some development in these characters. don’t get me wrong, it’s not much development, but it gives a little context to a couple characters, most notably tarek and adam.

but again, the logistics of the book don’t make any sense. the ending with “guards, arrest this man” is the most insane thing i’ve ever seen. why did no one say “bro, we’re personal security, not a private police force.” it literally makes no sense.

and the whole deal with kat and adam is so weird. she’s being held hostage, gets access to a cell phone, does not call the police. she’s clearly just not very bright at all. she’s also paraded around a party full of people who are all famous, but are not all employed by adam, and doesn’t take that opportunity to say anything to anyone. she’s in the bathroom at one point with multiple other women and doesn’t say “help me get out of here”??? which is obviously no guarantee that that would work, but she literally doesn’t even consider it.

i’m gonna read the last one because it’s there and because the thing i have the most curiosity about is connor. but generally, i’ve written off the plot of these books as just the weirdest fucking one direction x reader fanfic that exists. it’s not good. it’s not well developed. but it’s entertaining.

the funniest part of this book is that in spite of literally all of adam’s batshit crazy behavior, he’s completely right about kat’s lack of experience, ethics and ability to be a manager (or do literally anything because the last thing we saw her do in any sort of professional capacity was to create the weird little trailer for the band that still has not completed even one song.)

he’s also right that the only reason she even has this “position” (where she does absolutely nothing and calls it management, just like the rest of the world) without throwing her pussy at everyone who walks by. and again, if she had had more than 1 whole conversation with any of these men before sleeping with them, i wouldn’t still be bringing jt up. but let us remember, the virgin who has no friends and had never kissed a boy lost her virginity in an orgy involving 4 other people less than a week after meeting them and then had the audacity to say they’re special and in love. that’s not romance, that’s sociopathy.

so like…fuck adam, he’s a monster. but he’s not wrong. which is somehow the funniest plot twist, but i think it’s totally accidental.

Well, here we are with an improvement. The character development is getting there, and it is more notable for Tarek and Adam. And I love it. It's about time these two men get some love. I love them. I've wanted them to get some love for the last two books now.

There are a few logistics that don't make sense this time around. I am not sure where the “guards” are coming from. No one ever said anything about personal security or personal police. Now, suddenly, these guards are here to arrest this man. It's just crazy if you ask me.

And then you have Kat and Adam. Their deal is getting weirder and weirder. She is held hostage. Somehow, she gets access to this cell phone, but she doesn't call the cops? She also gets paraded around all these famous people at a party, not all employed by Adam, but she doesn't say anything to anyone? In the bathroom at one point with a couple of other women, and she doesn't take the opportunity to say “Help, can you get me out of here???” Yes, it may not work, but the fact that she doesn't consider it is out of this world and shows how silly she is.

And because I love the series and I have come this far, I am going to come this far, I am going to be reading the last book. I am so curious about Connor, but this entire is so warped, and it's just not making sense anymore. It's starting to read more like poor fan-fic than anything else.

The only thing that Adam is actually right about is that Kat is lacking in her experience in being a band manager, and she lacks the ethics and ability to continue in the job. Other than that, he is just insane and literally batshit.

He is right that the only reason Kat has the job is because of the men, and that is because of the fact that she threw herself at them sexually and she continues the sleep with them. She says that they are special less than a week after meeting them and has the audacity to say that they are in love with her like she is with them. There is a sociopathy with her I can't put my finger on.

Adam is a monster, and Kat is realizing it, I think, but at the same time, he really isn't wrong. The funniest thing is that I think that's the unintentional plot twist. The monster is right.

5 boys on the beach

Things get serious real fast. There is so much depth in this book. I've said it from the beginning and I will keep saying it... This is not your typical boy band romance!! This book series has layers and true emotions. I felt so much in this book and wondered how it was going to be resolved. At times it seemed bleak and I was nervous for our characters.... How are they going to deal with these continuing traumas? We have seen their broken pieces in the past few books and they were beginning to heal another. This book is a test to their strength and bonds. Will they continue to believe in their love and relationships or will they fall back into old patterns...

Each character has a moment it seems in this book where they are faced with something... I truly ached at times for them and their pain. I yearned for them. I saw the most growth in Tarek. His past is explained and we get to see his true soul and heart. I truly came to adore him. In the first book I did not like him... But his journey is beautiful and I truly grieve for him at times. This book is darker. There is abuse both psychological and sexual. It is not grievous though and only for a small part. But if you are triggered by it then be weary of chapter 17 and 20.

Connor also seems to grow and admit some things. Leon becomes a solid foundation. Seth continues to be the heart and Tarek becomes strong. Kat also begins to feel more sure of herself and where she stands in the relationship. However, with how this book is set (takes place over about 2-3 days) there is no steamy scenes. So hope there are some in the last book! I think the last book will also show the strength of their bond and what they can accomplish together.

Mild cliffy at the end... And Adam is ridiculous and needs help.

Very Enjoyable And Highly Entertaining

My goodness I did not realize that Adam was so egocentric and evilly manipulative. It would appear that he does not forget perceived wrongs and actively seeks to punish people. Nasty business ... shudder! Then there is poor Seth, however, it appears that he had a mystical experience while in his coma, with some very interesting happenings.

We are left with another cliff hanger have to wait for the final novel in this series to obtain a summation of all the happenings. This is a Good story evoking a number of emotions in this reader. The characterizations are still excellent: all characters are clearly delineated and there are a broad spectrum of types among the large cast.

Very enjoyable and highly entertaining.

Well... hmmm.... this is so different from all of the other books. It’s darker, more emotional, more painful, no sexy times. Hard Truths are revealed. I feel that there were betrayals and even some breakthroughs. I’m not sure where this story and ending are leading us, but I know I have to be along for the ride. It’s a good book, but very different. Kind of sad.

I have really loved this series but was taken aback by this fourth book. What the heck happened here. I don't want to go into detail and spoil the book for others but I will say that this has been one of the strangest books in the series and I hope the last one brings things together and ties up a few loose ends.

This series is heading in a downward slope for me. A lot of unnecessary nasty history that distracts and solves nothing and adds nothing to the present.

Originally strong characters are being weakened.

Hope the series wraps up soon, as I'm not sure how much I can take.

Just discovered that the next book is the final one.

I loved it. Kat's decision to meet Matt may be one of the worst she makes. There is a lot going on in this book. So much is revealed we didn't know before. You begin to understand some if the boys more. The relationships the band has with one another are also coming to a head. Some things are resolved but on the end we are left with a cliff hanger. I can't wait to read the next book.

Hard to keep reading

I’m giving this series 3 stars. That’s because there’s no mistakes in editing that I’ve seen and I know the author put a lot of time and effort into their work.

I flipped pages like crazy. I’m just trying get through to see how it ends. I have a terrible obsession with wanting to know how books end. I’m stuck flipping pages till the end.

This has taken a very strange turn and I am not sure I like it. Well written and nicely edited, I have been struggling with this series and this book was the hardest to read. It’s like a car crash, I cannot help but peek at it. Sorry to say this series is not for me, i will read the last book to see what happens and finish off the series’s it this is not my cup of tea

I'm lost!

I usually love books like these but I'm just having a hard time with this series. I wanna like it but each one frustrates me a little more than the other. So I'm stopping on page 100 on the 4th book, just can't go further and even then skimmed thru most of that hundred. Sad because I like some of the characters, maybe it's me! I just don't get it, sorry.

So I enjoyed the first three books. This one? Just...no. the story line wasn't just unbelievable as some reviewers said....it got to the point of being so over-tbe-top and ridiculous, it almost ruined the series. Im committed to this HEA though, so we'll see how the last book fairs but this was just wildly disappointing

Wow!

I couldn't stop reading this book. It has me glued to each page. This penultimate book in this awesome series was very dark, and have further insight into the young mens. history. I can barely wait to read t he final book. Hopefully the dastardly AT will get his just desserts.

Intense and Seriously Eye Opening

Wow I have spend most of this book on the edge of my seat. The stuff that revealed helps you to understand several of the characters. An the cliffhanger at the end left me on the floor wanting more. I am so excited for the final book.

Good book

The only thing I dont like about this book as well as the others in the series is the cliffhangers and the time between books. I love all the characters. Adam has some serious issues and I can't wait for the next book so see if he gets what he has coming for him.

Best so far

This by far the best out of the 4 I've read. Finally the fmc has some balls about her. I'm glad the guys are finally realising it's ok not to be ok and it's definitely ok to explore who they are sexually. It's been well thought out and executed gracefully.

This one just didn't do it for me. The nonsense with Mat/Adam was just over the top and not even remotely realistic. It wasn't hard to figure out that Mat Alldandy was an anagram of Adam Tyndall. I suspected it was him before even reading what his dumb last name was.

What the heck

I honestly don’t understand a lot of what is going on in this story. The plot seems to be all over the place. I’m finishing the series because that is the type of person I am but... I still don’t know if I like it, love it, or hate it.

Insanity

Holy crazy train! This was an interesting installment. Learned some things about the characters on a deeper level which is nice. There are some major things that need fixing in the next book. We'll see if we get a HEA.

Wow

Wow! What a cliffhanger! Adam is totally insane. I can't believe the lengths he went to just for fame. Poor Kat. Poor Tarek. Adam is completely off his rocker. I really hope he gets his comeuppance in the final book

So much pain but I hope love wins in the end.

This book give a lot more details about the different things that happened and are still happening in the boys lives . Especially the awful things Adam and Tarek went through.

Kat and the guys all seem to be fighting something. Can they work through it together or will it tear them apart? There are a few twists in the book. I saw one coming but overall good read.
