Enjoyed this more than book one. Corbin was really trying to prove that he’s not a spoiled brat and I liked that even though he still slipped he did grow as a person.

I have noticed from this book and the last book that these men love to declare their love in the midst of coitus hahaa and while yes that’s nice.. it also can not always be trusted since sometimes they just say things in the heat of the moment.

I am excited to read about Lance, his monkey Tony and this new librarian!

Yet again another great book in the Theriot family series. Poor Corbin is misunderstood and comes across as a cocky brat however sexy mechanic Beau wants to change that and bring out the true man that the youngest Theriot is.
However this isn’t easy as Corbin doesn’t submit without a fight and alongside this enemies from the past are back for revenge.
These book are full of incredible characters that want you wanting more.
The only downfall is that I would have liked to have seen more sweet moments between the pair.

THOUGHTS
Silvia violet's books are very similar with different settings. Still they are quite enjoyable. This one was a little more difference with Corbin being a brat. He had fight in him. The writing is good. I like it. Characters have the same Dom/sub dynamic. I am exited to the net real. I am liking Travis.
It was a little annoying to see everyone treating Corbin like some Damsel. Like gurl he drew up in a crime family and he wants to part take in and yet if you act like he doesn't know anything the you is stupid. I was so glad he proved himself to his brothers. Like tell em Queen.

I did like this book, but there was something a bit off about it. Thinking about it, it could well be that I absolutely ADORED Henri in the previous book Remington and I while I liked the characters enough in Corbin (particularly Corbin) I just didn't feel that same connection. Happily though next up we have Lance! I Hopefully his sidekick Tony the monkey will play a huge part🐒🐒🐒

Brat

Corbin is a brat who thinks all he has to say is do something and it gets done. Beau brings him up short and teaches him how to find his inner man that all can respect.

Corbin will be familiar to readers of the first book in the series as the “bratty” baby brother of a mob boss, and while “brat” is the word his siblings and his love interest use most often to describe him, the author does a masterful job of making him a deeply sympathetic character— not so much a natural brat as a talented, fully grown up man whose siblings and everyone else treat him like a child to be coddled, condescended to, and ignored. He’s understandably frustrated by this, and it’s hard not to empathize. Enter Beau, the mechanic and associate to Corbin’s crime family, who sets out to “tame” Corbin and instead, of course, falls for him.

I really liked Corbin, and felt for his frustrations. He’s exactly what all the people in his life have molded him to be— something they don’t take into account when blaming him for it. Beau, I was more on the fence about, and that’s because of the way their relationship starts. For me, there was real tension in the “Corbin needs discipline to find his purpose in life” narrative thread because in the beginning it seemed so detached from what should surely accompany that— someone who actually cared about him to dispense that discipline. Don’t get me wrong, the “strong hand” concept is hot, but not without basic respect that goes both ways. Beau is dominant, but in the beginning he’s not kind, gentle, or caring about it— in fact, from the start he acts like a jerk and writes Corbin off in the same degrading, dismissive way his older brother does, when he’s not actively trying to provoke him, or fantasizing about all the things he wants to make Corbin do for him. He likes the idea of bending Corbin to his will, but there’s little evidence of any emotional involvement beyond that— or care for whether or not it would actually be good for Corbin— for the at least the first third of the novel, and that was long enough that when he did actually start to act like he cared about more than putting Corbin in his place, I was already alienated enough to resist buying into it. That said, I did come around to liking him eventually— the last parts of the novel, in which the dangerous subplot, Corbin’s family issues, and the romance all come together went a long way towards putting everything, and everyone, in a more favorable and caring light. Overall, an enjoyable read with one awesome protagonist, and one who grew on me over time.

Each book in the Theriot series gets better and better!

You can depend on Silvia Violet for an interesting, engaging storyline with plenty of heat, and Corbin is no exception. For some reason, this story felt more like Louisiana than Remington did, probably because the amount of time spent in the swamp and because Beau's a working man, a mechanic with grease under his fingernails and he teaches Corbin what that's like.

There's a bit of an age gap, but not dramatic - more of an experience gap. As the youngest Theriot, Corbin's been protected and minimized his whole life, and I loved the way Beau sees Corbin and helps him grow.
A fun read, and I can't wait for Lance's book.

Excellent second book in this series, I’m really enjoying this one, the author is new to me and the plot lines are so different and entertaining.
M/M romance at its best.
Corbin is a little bratty and Beau is cool and tough, great pairing.

3 ⭐️ I found the book VERY average. Everything was rushed, the writing is “weaker” than the first book. There is no actual development. I need more details about the relationship, the plot, the feelings… I liked Corbin and Beau as a couple though. The steam is average as well. I wanted to know more about Lance before, but now I am not sure if I want to carry on with the series. I need books with a little bit more depth to them.

I can understand Corbin wanting to be taken more seriously by his family and by the world in general, because he wants to be seen as an adult and his older brothers don't let him do that. But, I can also see where his brothers are coming from, because sometimes Corbin isn't necessarily the most grown up acting person.

I think that Beau was really good for Corbin, in a whole lot of ways.

"You as a person, are enough. You deserve everything." --Beau to Corbin.

📒Read 1st June, 2025. Read the series in this order: Dax → Ambrose → Lancelot → Remington → Corbin.

With this, the series comes to an end. What a confusing book. i knew when i started this that it would anger me. Ugh, this book. Knew it'd piss me off—poor Corbin! His brothers treat him like worthless being just for being the youngest/half-sibling. At every stance he has to prove himself. i always liked him, if only i could say the same for the book tho. It was disappointing, it wasn't to my liking. i sped through the audio (only finished for Michael Dean). Tropes at end.

♦ Don't get me wrong, i liked both Corbin and Beau. It's just that, a lot happened and i didn't bother to follow everything.

♦ This is an enemies to lover story. Corbin truly dislikes Beau and the latter makes him work in his car shop to discipline him. But he also feels Beau is very hot! Well, they both do!

♦ This one's Love Language is Physical Touch just as i suspected! :D

Beau's very protective of Corbin but the protector here was Corbin himself and that's what i loved the most. Also Corbin needs to be wrapped up in a burrito as far as im concerned. Not as favourite as Julian but he became a close 2nd fav!

SIR/brat! Disciplined! 👀

♦i knew the Travis/ex mystery from Dax’s book, but seeing Beau handle it was interesting. It’s not angsty (bcuz he’s fiercely protective), but i'd lie if i'd say i didn't feel bad for the poor bbe Travis. He's too precious.

♦ Holy frick can Corbin kick ass! Unlike any of the other babies in this series, the one who does the rescuing here is Corbin!! He's a trained killer.

♦ This had the least amount of sex (only 2!) and it doesn't happen till 51% and the other one at the very end of the book!! It was all very underwhelming considering there's some really good scenes in this whole series. There were a litany of sex acts tho! i would not have read it as a book. i don’t like books like this. And other sex were off page!! It really takes a back burner in this. i should've just dropped this.
//i consider intercourse as separate from sex act unless otherwise stated. All my reviews reflect that.

♦ Beau saying Travis was irredeemable was kinda jarring to hear, but the dramatic irony of it all made it easier for me to be okay with that.

♦ So... Corbin sucks him and suddenly they trust e/o? But next moment Beau says he's dangerous and not to trust him?! And then he starts calling Corbin as baby. They had sex and suddenly Corbin loved Beau?! Ugh. What’s going on? Make it make sense. It’s all too confusing. Ugh. 🙄🙄

At least, i finished the series, so yay me.

Corbin Theriot, the titular character in Silvia Violet’s Corbin, the second book in her The Theriot Family series, represents a departure from what we’ve come to expect from our Marchesi/Vigilance/Theriot males. Over the course of the prior eight books in Ms. Violet’s Marchesi universe, the main characters have been big, muscled, powerful, intimidating, testosterone-fueled, mafia/vigilante alpha males. However, Corbin, the baby half-brother of Remington Theriot (from Book 1, Remington), doesn’t fit that mold. Corbin is lean, blond-haired mischief in a compact package. The cover model for the book actually shows Corbin’s beau, aptly named Beau, who very much fits the prototypical alpha male we’ve come to expect from these books.

In Corbin, Ms. Violet had an opportunity to pursue a different kind of story in this universe. However, she doesn’t capitalize on it. Instead, she defaults to focus on yet another story of a domineering alpha exerting control and taking possession of the object of his lust/love. This means we get a sex-laden, fast-moving plot revolving around action, intrigue, and mafia-style double-crosses, retribution and murder. In short, we get what we’ve seen in the first series, The Marchesi Family, and its spinoff series, Vigilance.

Corbin does deviate a bit, though, adopting a slower start to the story. We first see how Corbin and Beau meet and their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is established. But then we go around in circles. Corbin vacillates between “I hate him but I want him”, and “why do I want him when I hate him”. Meanwhile, Beau’s refrain echoes what we’ve heard in the prior books – “I want him, I own him, he’s mine”.

Corbin and Beau’s relationship works better than the relationship between Remington and Henri in Book 1, Remington. Ms. Violet spends more time establishing an emotional connection between Corbin and Beau which is why I think Beau’s overbearing entitled ownership and the Dom/sub dynamic between them makes sense. Ms. Violet also gives Corbin greater dimension. Corbin struggles to find his place in his high-powered family. He just wants to feel worthy and needs someone to give him structure and believe in him. Then he finds it in the most unexpected of places – in Beau, the man he loves to hate, … that is until he doesn’t hate him at all, and all that’s left is love.

Once again, Ms. Violet delivers what we expect from her: fast-paced action, low-level suspense, minimal angst, maximum heat, and nothing too heavy or thought-provoking. Just a high-stakes, heavily sexed romp through the colorful Marchesi universe. It’s fun and absorbing, if superficial, but on the whole, an enjoyable addition to The Theriot Family series and the Marchesi universe.

I received an ARC of this book, for an honest review.

I Couldn’t put this down!

I want to give this book all the stars! Five doesn’t do it justice. I didn’t know I needed a bratty mafia boy, or a working-class mechanic, who isn’t going to take his nonsense, but boy did I ever! I read this book in one sitting.

This is the second book in the Theriot series but can be read as a standalone. The author was new to me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have now added her entire backlist to my ever-growing TBR pile.

Corbin is the youngest of the Theriot brothers and is a certified spoiled brat. His mother didn’t believe in spanking, and his father didn’t believe in going against her. He’s been coddled and protected his entire life. Corbin is well aware he is a brat but can’t seem to help himself sometimes.
Beau is a working-class mechanic, who the Theriot’s did a big favor for. Even though he’s paid them back, they still bring their cars to him. He’s the best at what he does, and his business doesn’t always keep everything on the right side of the law.

I loved Corbin’s brattiness, especially when he knew he was being a brat, but his mouth got the best of him. I loved that Beau sees Corbin’s need to be acknowledged by his family as smart and useful, and not just the baby to be protected. When Corbin needs Beau’s help, Beau doesn’t just give in to his demands. He makes him work off the debt in his shop, getting his hands dirty, and not putting up with Corbin’s sass. Sass has consequences and Beau has no problem discipling Corbin.

This book had excitement, intrigue, a little bit of a mystery, action in the bayou, and the flame factor was high! Hot, hot, hot!

Corbin is the younger, brattier brother of Remington from the first book. In Remington’s book, we saw Corbin as unreliable, bratty, spoiled and generally just a bit of a failure in comparison to his older brothers. But in his own book, we see a bit of a different story. He is totally all of those things, but when Beau enters the picture and forces Corbin to work for something for once in his life rather than his family just handing it to him, we begin to see a different side of him.
As Beau and Corbin grow closer, Corbin begins to work to be better. He fails of course, but Beau quickly becomes the person who will help him try again.
This does continue the storyline from book one, with a rival family trying to push the Theriot's out, only this time they’re also going after Beau and his business. This means Corbin has to step up and prove to his family that he can be a part of the family business.
Corbin’s character development over the course of the book was incredible. It was like reading a boy become a man. And I was so proud of him for taking charge of his life. And Beau was the perfect person to help him realise that he could do just that. Plus Corbin freaking out about ruining his brother's house while staying there was pretty funny. Poor guy. I think even I held my breath when Tony, his brother’s monkey, decided to mess with Remington’s cello.
I’m so pumped for the next book based on the epilogue, I think I’ll be in for an even more fun read.

Corbin is an amazing enemy to lovers MM Mafia age gap romance book in the series the Theriot Family. I would recommend reading the first book to fully understand the story and because the first book is as amazing as this one.

Corbin is the youngest brother of the Theriot's. He is a bit spoiled, expects everything done for him in an instant, and never had to take responsibility.
When he scratches the car of his eldest brother, he tries to get it repaired before his brother comes back from vacation and gets furious with him. He turns to Beau, who owns his garage and had some business dealings with the Theriot's. But Beau does not fess up with Corbin's attitude and wants to teach him a lesson. He wants Corbin to work in his garage to repay for repairing the car. But can he keep his distance from Corbin when some secrets left in the past catch up with Beau?

I loved this book! I already loved the first book in this series, and this one can keep the level.
Corbin is an amazing character and you get insights into the "spoiled brat". The author paints a beautiful picture of a young man shaped by the circumstances of his upbringing, who wants to show another side of him, but never gets the chance to do so. Until Beau sees behind his facade.
I loved the dynamic between Corbin and Beau.

An amazing book and definitely worth reading!

I love me a enemies to lovers story and Corbin, book two of the Theriot Family series, delivered everything I want; two opposites who absolutely hate each other but can't fight the combusting attraction finally give into each other's deep desires.  I guess it helps when they're smoking hotties who just so happen to need one another inside the bedroom, as well as outside.  Corbin is what we would call a brat but has a heart of gold.  He would do anything for the ones he loves and sometimes, his bratty behavior is taken the wrong way.  Enter Beau, the stoic mechanic, who happens to be the one on the receiving end of Corbin's attitude.  It's not long before Beau convinces himself that he needs to discipline Corbin and it just so happens that Corbin needs Beau too!
Silvia Violet delivers a story with low angst, low external drama with another plot to the story, I finished it in one sitting!  It was perfect; I enjoyed Beau and Corbin's bratty banter and sexy chemistry, it was difficult to take a break.  I mostly loved how Beau helped Corbin in building his confidence  to finally be a part of the family business rather than the baby brother or spoiled brat;  he really redeemed himself and got the guy too!  Perfect pair and I cannot wait for Lancelot's HEA; Silvia Violet's Corbin is a hot five stars in my books!  Happy reading all!
I received an arc, in exchanged for my honest review, of this title for Gay Romance Reviews.

There's nothing I love more than seeing a brat meet his match, and Beau certainly knew how to keep Corbin in line in this book. I had so much fun watching Corbin bluster, act up, and otherwise try to get out of the discipline he so desperately needed, and it was even sweeter to see him submit to it all under Beau's firm hands. Though he resisted at first, Corbin thrived in Beau's shop, learning not just how to be accountable for his actions but also how his submission made him a stronger, better man. Their hookups were deliciously steamy, with Beau's possessive dominance and Corbin's fiery attitude, and I can't believe how incredibly compatible they were between the sheets. What made this story even better was seeing how much Corbin matured as he opened up to Beau, going from someone everyone thought of as an irresponsible kid to leading a mission to take out one of his family's biggest enemies. There was violence, heart-pounding action scenes and moments where I held my breath waiting to see how the chips would fall. Even though this book was undoubtedly a romance, Corbin and Beau faced down some serious threats and it was really exciting to see the Theriot family rally to protect their own.

I fell in love with Corbin - he’s so special and I’m glad he’s found his person.

This was a solid 4.5 stars for me. I fell completely fell in love with Corbin. I already really liked him but this book made me fall hard for him. I was so angry for him, so angry with how people treated him (especially his family), how they made him less and then blamed him for how they treated him and the consequences of that treatment. Yes, he’s a brat but not in the sense that a lot of people used it. He was bright and sparky and lovely. In the end he got the love and care he deserved from Beau; he found his person and happiness in both himself and with Beau. I have to say though, what made this not a full 5 stars for me was how Beau acted for a good portion of the book. Certainly the first 25ish percent. During that period I didn’t like how he simply fell in with how others treated Corbin. He seemed to enjoy the idea of breaking Corbin’s will. It wasn’t about caring about Corbin it was just about inflicting his will on him. Don’t get me wrong, Beau changes. His attitude changes and by the end of the book you know that he loves Corbin and is there for him. The story is still engaging and hot but I struggled getting past my initial strong dislike of him. I definitely recommend the book; engaging plot, interesting characters and some seriously sexy times!

Corbin is Remington's younger brother who seems to have little standing within his family. Beau is the body shop owner the family uses for their cars. They get off to a rocky start..

Both of them are arrogant, stubborn men. I really enjoyed the sass, the back and forth teasing and confrontations between them.

"He was an arrogant asshole who hadn't shown me any respect. I couldn't stand him, and yet somehow he'd ruined me for other men. How was that even fair?"

Beau keeps trying to stop himself from putting his hands on Corbin. The almost dislike of each other combined with lust  filled attraction was fun and entertaining.

"The boy just did something to me. As much as I hated it, I was getting damn tired of fighting it. Why the hell did I have to want someone who could bring me so much fucking trouble?

There is a lot going on in this story. Who is after Beau? How much danger are they both in? How will Remy react to what's developing between Corbin and Beau? Is what they have strong enough for the long haul?

There is plenty of heat and action that keeps you invested in the whole story. I really enjoyed this addition to the series and can't wait for Lance's book.

A brat, a mechanic, mafia, murder, mayhem… awesomeness.

Corbin, the bratty younger brother of the Theriot family, who seems to annoy his brothers and parents, whines to be included in the family business, makes terrible decisions, takes no responsibility, and spends more time pouting than contributing, goes on a journey of learning his value and his place at the hands of an exacting, dominant mechanic who won’t put up with his bratty ways.

The book continues the overarching story of the Theriot family, but focuses on Corbin and Beau and their rather forceful, confrontational, aggressive relationship that ultimately blooms into an HEA, with the Theriot brothers finally seeing Corbin’s worth in the organization.

Like all of Sylvia’s books, this one is steamy, in your face, a little dark, and just a wonderful mix of everything. Well paced, some great exploration of the seedier sides of the French Quarter in New Orleans, and raw emotion that’ll keep you reading through to the end without taking a break.

This book rocks! The second book about the Theriot family and this one’s about the youngest brother, Corbin. Always overlooked and excluded by his older brothers Remington and Lancelot, he’s determined to prove himself. Beau is the mechanic Remington uses for all his cars. Corbin doesn’t like him but that soon changes when he needs Beau to do him a favor and keep it from Remington. Beau will agree to help but on his terms. This will put the two men together and soon they can’t keep their hands off each other. Beau believes in Corbin and when Beau’s past comes back to haunt him, he talks to Corbin first. It’s not just Beau’s past when they realize the people causing trouble for Beau are also after the Theriot’s. Corbin will get his chance to impress his brothers with the new man he has become with Beau’s help and it will end the trouble for both Beau and the Theriot’s. The two men will get their chance to try for their happily ever after when Beau is accepted by Corbin’s family.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

I love the new addition to The Theriot Family Book and Corbin and Beau didn't disappoint. This two are so hot together and they have the pages steaming. Corbin is the baby of the family and they treat him that way. He feels like he should have more responsibility but his brothers are always cleaning up behind him. When he sees Beau there is an instant attraction and Beau puts him in his place. Beau doesn't let anyone intimidate him not even the head of the Theriot Family but he knows Corbin should be off-limit.
When Beau's business and life are threatened he will do anything to find out why. He doesn't want Corbin to get involved but he's caught up in the middle of it anyway. The book is exciting, romantic, funny, low angst, and I love the interaction between the brothers and other family members of the Theriot family. The sexy times between these two will have you fanning. Silva Violet is a must-read for me.

This series keeps getting better

This is the 2nd book in the Theriot Family series and this one deals with Corbin who is the youngest spoilt brother. He is regarded as a brat and as a result he is not allowed to take part in any "jobs" . He damaged Remington's car and has to go to Beau to get it repaired. However Beau doesn't just say yes he will repair it he makes Corbin work in the garage before he will repair the car. Beau proves to be the perfect person to give Corbin the discipline he needs and they fall for each.
Beau has problems of his own -someone trying to get their own back on him. This as Corbin realises is tied in with the recent problems that the family had. He comes up with a plan after Corbin is kidnapped and much to everyone surprise insists on leading the mission. Corbin and Beau get their HEA and the family realise the Corbin has changed and is ready to be part of the family business. Can't wait for Lance's story.

Corbin is the second book in the Theriot Family series by author Silvia Violet. It can be read as a standalone. However, I think best enjoyed reading this series in order.

This story is told in dual POV and it works great for this storyline.

Corbin is the youngest Theriot brother. He is the bratty one who will use his family name to get the job done. He also doesn’t feel he is as strong as his brothers. He is a good soul who needs some guidance.

Beau owns the local garage. He has worked hard for everything he has. He will not put up with a brat telling him what to do. He tells them what to do not the other way around.

He is a great soul who likes to take care of others.

Overall this is a great story. You meet people from the first book and build on that storyline. I cannot wait to see what happens next and who falls in love.

3.5/4 stars

Still very insta lovey but definitely better than Remington's book. Henri appeared for like one or two scenes and all of his interactions were just awkward. He was supposed to be the seen as the one who can calm down the big bad mob boss but it still doesn't work for me.
Anyway the book isn't about them :')

There was definitely a lot of improvement with the plot outside of the romance. The ending was very anticlimactic and a little rushed but at least there was a plot.

I really enjoyed Corbin and Beau's story. Beau was perfect for Corbin, who was struggling to be respected by his family and given more responsibility. I liked that Corbin was fierce and could take care of himself and Beau respected that and helped Corbin show this to Remington and Lance. But in the bedroom Corbin was all too happy to let Beau take charge. There was so much UST leading up to them getting together and then once they did, holy hotness! Silvia really knows how to bring the heat! There was a little insta-love I would have liked to have not happened so quickly, but it was a fast moving story with an interesting mystery that all happened over the course of a week so everything did come together nicely in the end. We got to know more of the Theroit Family here, especially Lance who I really like a lot--I am looking forward to his story next!
