Someone in a writers group on Facebook mentioned how much she loved this book so I went and ordered it from Amazon. I love this book and I’m attached to the character Matthew. I think he’s just an old softie with a tough shell. For some reason I feel like Kanti isn’t done with Matthew yet.

It’s hard to find good British crime books to read with the way they are very inaccurate or inconsistent with the way things really are over there. This book had literally made sense in every British way possible and was a good attention keeper for me. That’s a lot to say since it’s hard to find a mystery that’ll keep my attention. Hoping this Author will give me more like this to read in the near future. I’ve grown fond of Jacob.

Good plot if you don't mind the terrible grammar and misspelling of words.

I absolutely loved "Envious Score" by Beth Savoie! From the very first page, I was hooked by the intriguing plot and well-developed characters. Matthew is quite the charmer, effortlessly drawing you into his world with his charisma and wit. On the other hand, Jacob feels more like a role model type, providing a strong and steady presence that balances the story beautifully.

The storyline kept me on my toes the entire time. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another twist would come along and throw me for a loop. The suspense was palpable and expertly maintained, making it nearly impossible to put the book down. I was particularly impressed by the ending—I definitely didn’t see it coming! The author has a real talent for crafting unexpected and satisfying conclusions.

Overall, "Envious Score" is a thrilling read that kept me engaged and guessing until the very last page. The combination of charming and complex characters, along with a plot full of surprises, makes this book a must-read. Highly recommend!
