Edge of Your Seat
We get another look into the Delancy crime family with Felix’s right hand man and best friend, Malcolm. He has always had a thing for Desiree who was the twin of Tristan another of the Delancy brothers. She had always had a crush on Malcolm but never acted on it because she was afraid of her brothers’ opinion on this.
In this story Desiree is kidnapped by the very demented Dimitri and does unspeakable things to her. Its then that Malcolm wants it known that he will claim Desiree as soon as he finds her. I loved the way Malcolm helped Desiree deal with her trauma. We find out what a strong, amazing woman Desiree really is during all of the this.
This whole series has been amazing and Deny was another winner. This was a one sit read for me because I couldn’t put it down until the last page was turned. And just let me say that was one heck of a cliffhanger!! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.

Desiree is taken and tortured by Dimitri, Malcolm and her family will do anything to get her back. When he finally does rescue her, she is broken and doesn’t want to go back to her family. She is unsure of Malcom’s true feeling for the but will another come between their new romance? Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Lots of twists and turns, emotional and intense. I really liked it.

4 1/2 stars! I love this series! This is the story of Malcolm and Desiree DeLancy. Malcolm has been a longtime friend of the DeLancy’s and works for her Felix (her oldest brother). Malcolm has always had feelings for Desiree, but has kept them hidden. Desiree has always had a crush on Malcolm for as long as she can remember. When Desiree is kidnapped by Dimitri and abused and tortured in the worst ways possible, her brothers will do anything they can to find her. Especially her twin, Tristen and Malcolm. When Desiree is found a month later by Malcolm, she feels at ease and comfort, thinking it is just a dream. But then dreams become a reality.
After a few weeks recuperating, Desiree is not ready to face the majority of her family and decides to stay with Malcolm. However, she is not sure if he is doing it because he rescued her and sees her as weak, or if he might actually have feelings for her. And old boyfriend of Desiree’s shows up (Gaylord) and will do anything he can to get her back. Needless to say, Gaylord brings some more adventure into the lives of Malcolm and Desiree. That on top of not being able to find Dimitri just adds to the intensity and suspense.
My heart hurt reading this story as I cannot imagine the pain and suffering Desiree went through that month she was in Dimitri’s “care”. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because what seems like less than a month later Desiree was ready to get intimate with Malcolm. I just don’t see that as being realistic. However, I did enjoy the story along with the drama, suspense, darkness, violence and the cliffhanger at the end has my heart hurting even more. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series.

While the subject matter tends to be dark and equally disturbing at times, the book is a romantic tale between two who thought their love was doomed from the start. Of course, there are twists and turns, as well as fly out of nowhere endings, but the characters more than carry their roles to the betterment of the heart. Somewhat irredeemable rogues and sweet minxes don't seem like much until you run into the DeLancy Family.
Totally not a waste of time.

This is the fourth book in this amazing series and is Malcolm and Desiree’s journey. Malcolm is dangerous and is Felix’s best friend and right-hand man, and Desiree is strong and confident and is Tristen’s twin, and she has always had a crush on Malcolm but has never acted on her feelings. When Desiree is kidnapped, Malcolm and her family will do whatever they must to rescue her. Desiree has endured horrendous torture and is mentally and physically broken, and when Malcolm rescues her, she wants to stay with his where she feels safe. Desiree is a survivor and I loved how Malcolm helped her deal with what she endured. This is a well written fast paced, emotional roller coaster story, which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and with angst, suspense, danger, intrigue, family, drama, twists, secrets, and love, which leads to a heartwrenching and steamy riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I highly recommend.

Deny (DeLancy Crime Family Book 4) by E.C. Land and Elizabeth Knox really packs a punch. It is not for everyone with lots of triggers. My heart breaks for Désirée and what she goes through. She is strong somehow coming out the other side. If I had to nitpick I question just how quickly she recovered from her trauma. However this is minor to me.
Malcolm is so protective of Désirée and it kills him when she is kidnapped. He loves hard. The chemistry between Malcolm and Désirée is crazy h¤t; they ste@m up the pages. The characters are written well. The family is tight knit and the world is well defined. I love catching up.with the other characters.
The plot is paced well with actions, twists and tension. This series is much better read in order. The story of Malcolm and Désirée's story is sort of wrapped up but boy does it end on a kicker leaving big questions. I love the series and Deny is a perfect addition.

You'll only see me as the damaged little girl now..what a tear jerker that line is.
After everything that Desiree has been through when she bares her soul to the man she has longed for for the longest time finally has his arms around her it's just what makes these books so hard to resist let alone put down. The woman go through such torture and the strong men are there to pick up the pieces and lift the women back on to that pedestal where they belong.
Desiree sure seems to take hit after hit and Malcolm is there for her to lean on when she feels comfortable not when he is, yet it seems both have been P footing around each other for long enough and just when things start to look up they come crashing down again.
This book was one I couldn't put down and had to read till the end and Oh my God how can you end this book like that talk about heart breaking, gut retching and balling my damn eyes out. Poor Desiree.

I have said it many times about EC Land and Elizabeth Knox but these two authors really deliver an amazing read and they know how to pack a punch. This story is quite intense and very heartbreaking especially for Desiree. The trauma that Desiree has been through would destroy any other person but Desiree is very strong and a fighter. With Malcolm by her side she is able to heal and move forward. Unfortunately her ex and her kidnapper have other ideas and destroy her with their actions. I need the next book because I am still in shock over the ending. A great fast paced story with lots of action will have you literally on the edge of your seat and anticipating what is going to happen next but with Ms Land and Ms Knox you never know because they are very good at shifting the tide when you least expect it. A great addition to this series.

Deny is part of the Delancy Crime Family series. It is the most riveting book to date. All of the books are compelling and engaging. Each is connected to the other, and teasers throughout each book lead to the next. In Deny. Very innocent, Desiree falls victim to the family business in some very horrific ways. She survives as only a BOSS can, showing everyone she is strong and resilient. Malcolm has always loved his best friend's sister, and he will move heaven and earth to keep her safe. The characters in this series are gritty and believable.
With a sweet romance, a few twists, action, drama, intense suspense, betrayals, and a manhunt for the most despicable person on earth, Deny is an awesomely engaging and compelling read. It ends on a cliffhanger that will rock you! The next book in the series can't come quickly enough.

This is the 4th book in the DeLancy Crime Family series featuring Malcolm and Desiree's riveting story. Malcolm has known Desiree her entire life he's her brother's best friend and since he's now the head of the DeLancy Crime Family he's also his right hand man. Malcolm and Desiree both are attracted to each other and have been for years and Malcolm is in love with her but he felt he was too old for her and with the family he felt it was better to keep it a secret. That ends when she's in danger when Dimitri kidnaps and abuses her Malcolm will move heaven and earth to get his love back. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this gripping story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

This was a great, riveting story that kept you turning pages until the book was done. This story has twists, action, drama, suspense, evil people, betrayals, abuse, kidnappings, survival, darkness, strength, passion and steam. Desiree has been abducted by her families enemies and ends up going through any and all evil that the enemies can think up to do to her. Malcolm will move heaven and earth to rescue Desiree and then he will keep her close to him. I love that these books are connected to each other with other characters showing up in the next books. Malcolm and Desiree are perfect for each other and with Desiree getting kidnapped it brings Malcolm and Desiree's relationship to the forefront. Can't wait till the next book.

Wow!!!! What happened? Climatic conclusion - is it true?
Mind boggling - YES. Strictly no spoiling. The storyline has taken a dark path. What Desiree has endured, no person deserves - Torture, abuse, humiliation, a few words to consider.
Malcom - devastated, lost, revenge, hunger - a few choice words.
A much more violent storyline. Abuse, debasement, violence - all presented and more. Will Desiree survive the abuse? Will she want to? Will she refer to her sibling Olivia for guidance???
So far, this would be the strongest read regarding the DeLancy Family. Many readers may struggle, so do beware. Authors notes are presented on each book.
This is dark, sinister, yet you will want more. Questions will be asked of you in regards to ending. YES/NO, is it true? Only way to conclude is by continuing in next read

I’m obsessed with this series. The plot lines keep getting better and better with each new book.

OMG !!! loved it !!! love this series !!! love Malcom and Desiree... this is their story... a fast paced action packed mafia dark drama... Desiree is kidnapped by Dimitri, who is a sadist and torturer... she's there for a month but, must have felt like forever... Malcolm and her family start looking for her right away...Malcom finds her after a month... he made it just in time... she is alive barely...she thinks it's a dream... she'd been in love with him forever... and so has he... but , he couldn't show it.. he works for her family... but, he will protect her and care for her now... twists and turns...healing and more... a very dark story...

This is a book I found to be gripping, riveting and dark, it's part of a series where all the books are connected to each other and each book leads to the next so I would advise reading them in the correct order. Desiree's an innocent who ends up a victim, abused and tortured horrifically! Somehow she survives it and although scarred she's strong and resilient. But will she allow herself to be loved?
Malcolm's loved Desiree, his best friend's sister, for a king time and is determined to keep her safe but will she return his feelings?
I was on the edge of my seat whilst reading this one there are some twists, betrayals, action, drama, intense suspense, as well as romance and a manhunt but be warned It ends on a cliffhanger!

Deny is book four in the DeLancy Crime Family series and is Desiree and Malcolm's story. When Desiree is kidnapped horrible things happen to her changing her forever. Malcolm has loved Desiree but he kept it to himself but now that she's gone he's determined to find her and bring her home. Deny is one of those stories that you need to set aside time to read because you will not want to put it down until the last page. From the descriptive writing to the dark and suspenseful romance this is a fantastic read and I was cheering Desiree and Malcolm on to finally get their happily ever after. I definitely recommend this book, this series, and this fabulous author duo to everyone looking for a great read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I have been reading a lot of mafia type stories and I think that has turned me on to the rescue type romance and I really enjoy it. This story is the 5th book in the DeLancy Crime series and I’ve enjoyed it so far and certainly this story about Desiree and Malcolm. He and Desiree’s family rescue her after she was kidnapped. This couple has wanted each other for many years but with this rescue bringing them together they can’t ignore it any longer. The only part that made me feel a bit off was that she was brutalized but when she’s rescued it felt rushed as if not enough time and attention was paid to what she went through. That would be my only criticism.

This is a Delancy Crime Family book 4 love story for Malcolm and Desiree. This book will defiantly leave you with a lot of questions and heart break too. Oh not for Malcolm and Desiree no they are together after all the horror Desiree goes through too. She is learning to fight back. What did Desiree's family do to put them all in this crazy man's path? What will happen next I can not wait to find out. I have been hooked from book one and each new book makes me want to re-read them just to get my fix. I loved this book.

I love these interlinked series, and especially how the author takes on storyline and passes it though from book to book so well, whilst still giving the main characters their own storyline.
Malcolm is Felix’s best friend and has (he thinks) hidden his feelings for his sister, however not so much.
When she is taken he will do anything to bring her back, then get vengeance for her but another threat also shows itself which also needs resolving

I don’t even know what to say!?! This book was absolutely amazing I didn’t put it down at all!! Malcolm is Felix’s right hand man and best friend so when Felix’s sister is taken they all go crazy with worry but not as much as Malcom. Malcom had always wanted Desiree but he had decided when they get her back he is staking his claim. Desiree had always had a crush on Malcom, hey brothers best friend but he had always seen her as a little girl. What will happen when they come together and the ending?? Oh my goodness I hope there is another book!!

Once again we are with the DeLancy family and this time we get the story of Desiree DeLancy the twin sister of Tristen and his best friend Malcolm These two have always had a thing for one another but neither has ever admitted it Now that Desiree has been taken in the latest feuds the family has going by Dimitri It will be up to Tristen and Malcolm to rescue her This is achieved but she has been abused and neds respite from her family something Malcolm is more than willing to give They can no longer hide their feelings but does he care for her or feel sorry for her. When someone from her past returns it will bring everything to a head and she will learn just how much Malcolm wants her.

These two have done it again. This is Malcolm and Desiree’s story and I absolutely loved these two.Malcolm was so sweet and caring with Desiree is also as protective of her as her bothers are. He also has strong feelings for her that have grown over the ears. Des and Malcolm are a perfect pair and I just couldn’t put this down until I finished it. The connection these two have go well beyond that of friendship, Malcolm just needs Des to believe him. These two shocked the heck out of me and will do the same to you. I do enjoy the DeLancy family. While I did love these two, my favorite sibling is Desiree’s twin Tristan. I can’t wait to see what these two do with the rest of this series.

An intense read. Better read as a series. Desiree is kidnapped and Malcolm needs to find her. He has always been part of the Delancy family and Felix is his best friend. So even though he’s always loved her he could never let her know. He will do everything to find her. Desiree is being held by Dimitri an enemy to her family and be warned this book has many triggers. The book was intense has the reader go through many different emotions. It is a series so there is more to come. I can’t wait for the next book in this series
