The one thing I love about my life is that when I go through shit, I'm not alone. The club's always got my back. I've been seeing Vail for a while now and when a series of old photographs are brought to light, Vail almost leaves. I almost lost the best thing in my damn life. While things might've been fine, I wasn't going to simply let it go.

I was gonna find who was trying to ruin my happiness, and I'd make sure they had hell to pay.

Only, after a while it wasn't just affecting me. This person was going after Vail, and none of us would have that.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all the other Raiders of Valhalla MC books. But Vanir is not my favorite character. He was just cruel to Vail, too selfish, to all about what he wants, when he wants it. He was disappointing for me. And Vail was willing to let him have what he wanted, when he wanted it, and put her feelings to the side to be with him. She has much more value than she demands of him. Again, disappointing. Fortunately this and all the Raiders of Valhalla MC series is available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited. A binge-worthy series.

I am loving this series and I loved Vail and Vanir. These two may have been back and forth, but with Vanit, you will understand why he is the way he is. My heart hurt so much for him and for Vail. I was taken on an emotional ride and there were some WTH moments. The ending was, oh my! I can’t wait to read the next one and see what else will happen in this club.

Vanir and Vail are hot together but their story isn't easy. It takes a lot for Vanir to realize what he has in her. I liked that she had the backbone to stand up for what she wanted even if at times I felt she gave in too easily. It's action-pack, steamy, and sweet.

I’m a very unforgiving person at times, which is why I felt Venir pushed way to far and Vail took way to much crap from him, but that’s me because despite that I enjoyed this book and will wait impatiently for the next one.

Menacing is the fifth book in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series by E.C. Land & Elizabeth Knox and for me is my favorite, it is that damn good! This story pulls you in from the beginning as it is intense, raw and full of passion, danger, violence and suspense but most of all the intense relationship between Vanir and Vail. You will fall in love with these fierce sexy alpha bikers of the Raiders of Valhalla MC whose club is built on Viking lore, loyalty, love of family and brotherhood .

Vanir is raw and gritty, loves his brothers and club but will not give his heart away due to his dysfunctional upbringing as well as being betrayed by a woman he loved. Plenty of club drama as Vanir has Skadi working undercover trying to get vital information on the Culebra Cartel who are running a child pornography ring much to Logi's dismay. Vanir and Vail have a friends with benefit relationship which is intense, raw and overly sensual. Vanir knows he is hurting Vail but he was honest from the beginning that he was not looking to be tied down but he did promise that he would be with no other woman but her. Vail knowing she agreed to their arrangement is now finding that she wants and needs more as she has fallen in love with him and is having a hard time hiding her feelings. Will she end up pushing him away? When someone from Vanir's past sends explicit pictures of Vanir having sex with another woman as well photos of him and Vail things take a turn. Tempers arise, misunderstandings need to be resolved when Vail storms into the clubhouse yelling at Vanir for being unfaithful and then walks away, Vanir becomes furious as he will not let her disrespect him in front of his brothers without knowing all of the facts and states that this is why he doesn't want a relationship. As Vanir rushes to Vail's apartment they start to argue until Vanir shows her proof that one of the pictures was taken when he was 18, seeing she made a rush to judgement, Vanir and Vail do what they do best fall into each other arms and have passionate sex, but will it be enough for Vail? Vanir's brothers can tell he has feelings for Vail, but he refuses to accept the fact and puts all his efforts into finding who has targeted him and Vail. As these two go back and forth, danger is surrounding Vail once again as she is getting threating notes and Vanir is still trying to find the person with no success. Things take a turn for Vail when she learns she is pregnant and worries how this will effect Vanir. Vail decides to go the the clubhouse to speak with him and sees one of the club girls all over him which leads her to run away in tears .

Vanir runs after her and witness a car driving into her car deliberately, out of his mind with worry and fear for her safety he rushes to her side waiting for the ETM's to help her refusing to leave her side. When he grabs her belongings he sees a sonogram and finds out he is going to be a father. Finally Vanir comes to terms that he has always loved Vail but was too stubborn to tell her as he opens up about his past and why he refused to be in a committed relationship. Vail with all of her sass and feisty needs reassurance that Vanir wants her and not because she is having his baby. Vanir hopes after his confession she will give him a chance to make things right so he tells Vail he is claiming her and is excited to be a father. As Vanir and Vail have finally declared their love for each other, they are starting over as they take their relationship to the next level when Vanir announces to the club that Vail is his ol'lady. With Vail still in danger Vanir tells her they will be staying at the clubhouse in order to keep her and his child safe. The camaraderie between Vail, her best friend Gwen as well as the other brothers is full of love and witty sexy banter as they club is changing when Gwen and some of the other ol'ladies announce they are also pregnant. With all of this excitement Vanir is determined to find out who almost killed Vail in the car, with his expert skills on the computer he is able to get a closer look at the driver, when he sees who the person is he is out for blood. The person who started harassing Vail and almost killing her was Gwen's ex Chance. Now Rati tells his men to bring him in, revenge is achieved and as the club is celebrating a commotion arrives at the door as a beaten unrecognizable Skadi rushes to Logi's side telling him and the others that the Culebra Cartel knows the club is looking into them.. now we have to wait for the next book to learn what danger is headed towards the Raiders of Valhalla MC.

In Menancing we finally get Vanir's story. We have met him in the series earlier. His heart was closed off due to events in his past. His relationship with Vail was very casual with no commitments. Vail however grew to love Vanir and wanted more from him. When trouble arrives Vanir realizes he could lose what is most important to him. Will he get to the bottom of trouble and get a second chance.

Vail is well known the the brothers of the MC as she is Gwen's EMT partner and best friend. She tells Vanir what she wants and then is strong enough to walk away when he can't do it. She is smart and does not mindlessly do what Vanir wants. Vanir has had a heck of a past. He has seen and had bad examples of relationships. This has really shut off his heart. It takes him a while but when he gets his head on straight he runs head first to get what he wants.

Vanir and Vail's relationship started hot and heavy. While the chemistry stays strong the relationship deepens. The story was pretty good. I do wonder why the stalker acted the way he did but it did change the fact I enjoyed the story. The story could be considered a cliffhanger but it isn't a true one. There are ongoing lines that continue through the book but the guy gets the girl at the end. I love the whole viking thread, hence the MC's name and I would love to know more about how this MC adapts these beliefs into their ways.

HOLY FREAKIN MOLY!
I abso-freakin-lutely loved is book! At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Vanir's character but as the story goes on little by little I've come to like him more and more. His character practically transforms right before your eyes. With each page I became more consumed. There are many moments that left me with my mouth hanging open thinking WTF? There are some shocking moments and surprises around every corner. At times the suspense had me jittery and the excitement from the suspense left my heart pounding. At times I was crying s hard my husband looked at me and asked what's wrong and all I could do was shake my head and point at my Kindle. I couldn't talk. This book was like a rollercoaster ride and I never wanted it to end. There are lots of good surprises and at times I was laughing out loud. Oh and let's not forget the sex is set your crotch on fire SMOKIN HOT! I loved Vail's character she's so strong but vulnerable, she knows what she wants and finally decides she won't settle for less. I really love books with strong female leads and Vail is that. At times it was absolutely heartbreaking and other times are so heartwarming. This book is an emotional overload and I loved every minute of it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!

Friends with benefits gets complicated

Menacing is the fifth book in the Raiders of Valhalla MC and is the story of Vail and Vanir. This is a friends with benefits that is getting complicated with emotions and wanting more. The overall story-line of the series is woven in with danger always present and some other characters from previous books showing up. I felt badly for Vail as she is in love with Vanir and wants a real commitment and relationship with him. But Vanir is messed up and commitment phobic, even as he has feelings for Vail. It may just take Vail in danger to finally shake him up enough to make him admit his feelings and see what is in front of him.
I thought this was a good story but I did not really care for Vanir, as the way he treats and talks to Vail put me off him. Eventually he gets his head out of his "you know where" but for me it was a little to late.

This is the 5th book in the Raiders of Valhalla series featuring Vanir and Vail's story. They don't have your typical relationship in fact it's more of a friend's with benefits arrangement than anything else. Vanir's upbringing was so flawed and broken that he doesn't do relationships and Vail has always accepted the way things stand between them now she has a few reasons not to anymore. The first is when she starts receiving pictures of Vanir with other women then her apartment gets vandalized and the last straw was the 2 pink lines and the fact that Vanir doesn't care about the threats she's receiving. She's had it and she decides to walk away Vanir knows that he needs to find out who's threatening Vail and that he has to take care of this quickly. This is the fifth book in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series, I recommend that you start with the first as they follow a time line. Vail is in love with Vanir and kept what they are at his dictate. It is getting harder for the longer he keeps her at arms length. She goes to see him at the club and thinks she sees him with a club girl, he says some hurtful things for her thinking the worse in him. When she arrives home, her apartment has been broken into, her stalker has upped their game. Vanir not far behind her, realizes he needs to fix things with Vail and find out who is doing this.

This story is a bunch of ups and downs, mostly only Vail's part, Vanir is a little late to the party in that aspect. Cannot wait for the next installment, Shameful.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the fifth book in this impressive series and is Vanir and Vail’s journey. Vanir has had a tough life and has closed his heart off to relationships and commitments, but he and Vail have been seeing each other for some time, and they have a friends-with-benefits relationships. Vail is Gwen’s EMT partner as well as best friend, and she has a stalker who is steadily getting more deranged. Vail has some tough decision to make, but will Vanir come to his senses before it is too late, and he loses Vail? This is a well written story which has undeniable chemistry, surprises, emotions, twists, action, suspense, danger, intrigue, loyalty, family, friendships, and love, which leads to an all-consuming page turner. I look froward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I highly recommend.

I really enjoy this series. I know the storyline can be a bit repetitive however, I can see myself coming back to read this series again when the mood hits me.

What he has with Vail is a friend with benefits arrangement. He is honest upfront with her that he doesn't do commitment and when someone starts harassing Vail and drama starts, he gets mad at her and reminds her that they aren't a couple. Vail wants a relationship and over time she gets tired of dealing with his attitude. It takes almost losing her in an accident to wake him up and makes him realize that all his reasons for not wanting to commit arent' good enough anymore.

Gwen's best friend and fellow EMT Vail has been seeing Vanir at the Raiders of Valhalla clubhouse...with neither wanting to go beyond friends with benefits relationship, until it wasn't enough for Vail. Vanir said he wasn't involved with anyone else...but she had evidence, as someone sent pictures of him with other women....but had to be a set-up as pictures were from when he was much younger, without his tattoos, so who had pictures??? Was there a stalker??? He didn't want to claim Vail but didn't want to lose her either...so what happens, no spoilers here??? Vanir and Vail are in a relationship, yet that’s not what he wants to term it. In fact he wants to call it anything but after being burnt in the past. Once Vail starts getting threats he ups his protectiveness but still keeps pushing her away.

Only when she pushes back does he come to his senses.

Vanir was a frustrating character and Vail was a little too soft and forgiving, but this was still a good addition to the series and as ever it’s nice to see the previous characters keep popping in.

Right now that is Vail and she accepts that to an extent. Feelings grow even if he will not admit it. After she questions their status, things fall apart. Vanir has to get his head straight and fix things. If he cannot do that, he will lose his chance at his own family on top of the brotherhood. I was happy to get their story told. Vanir and Vail make an interesting couple. The book leads you into the next just like the series has been doing. . This couple are fully immersed in their friends with benefits, exclusive, agreement, but she wants more and he is not prepared to give it. Disagreement leads to a separation, especially when Vail is receiving threatening messages from an unknown. Her home being ransacked is a the start to her trying to move on from Vanir. Things intervene and her car accident is also the catalyst for truths, honesty and a good look at the future, to reevaluate and to explain.
Tension, anger, fear, upset and upheaval are just some of the things that impact on this relationship.
Another great read in this series.

Vanir had a dysfunctional upbringing and as a result he didn't do relationships and the one time he did only reinforced it. He had a friend with benefits relationship with Vail and she was tired of the treatment especially when she started receiving pictures of Vanir and other women. Things began to escalate with her apartment being vandalized and now she was at her wits end. Right when she didn't think she could take any more stress it only got worse. Now with two pink lines, Vail has some tough decisions to make all while someone is stalking her. Will Vanir come to his senses and realize the true feelings he has for Vail before it's too late?

This is a Raiders Of Valhalla MC book 5 love story for Vail and Vanir. This one will have you all kinds of twisted up in side along with these two. All his past hurts are keeping Vanir from committing to Vail and she is all in until a stalker turns up and scares Vail. But the danger is fare from over and the only thing that can keep her save is Vanir. Will he get his stuff together before it's too late. You have to read this book and if none of the other books hooked you in this one will and the ending is a cliffhanger for the next book. I can not wait for.

I am really loving this series. Vanir and Vail’s story pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down. These two will take you on an emotional roller coaster, Vail wants more than just romps on the hay and Vanir isn’t sure he can give more than he can offer. His trust was broken in the past and he has a hard time opening up and letting someone in and when Vail wants in and begins to steal a piece of his heart he’s not quite sure how to handle his feelings. The 5th book in the series, it can be read as standalone but why the series is really good. Vanir at first seems very selfish and aloof about Vail. He believes that people in committed relationships hurt each other so he would rather keep things uncomplicated. Not realising that’s not how life works and that he shows more care to other people. Vail wants Vanir to commit to their relationship but is willing to keep it as is. But when she starts getting threatening letters and he doesn’t seem to care she is done and walks away. Vanir knows he needs to fix it and fast and find out who is doing this. A good story with lots of emotion. Leaving a voluntary review for an ARC..

Vanir and Vail we have seen in past books have a hot and heavy attraction to each other and become each other's go to when they need alittle loving so we aren't surprised that Vail ends up catching feelings that Vanir isn't ready for due to past relationships that have skewed his view on ever having to be tied down again..that is until someone starts targeting Vail and when left with the prospect of losing her altogether Vanir isn't having it.
Vanir also has to deal with his crappy home life but once he opens up to Vail she is able to give him the comfort he needs to get over past issue.
Really enjoyed this book and look forward to seeing what happens with this couple later on.

I'm not sure about this book. I was having a hard time getting into the storyline. I understand that there are things in someone's past that make a person the way they are. Vanir, the way he treated Vail for so long and how she kept coming back no matter how he treated her, I couldn't wrap my brain around that.
I have enjoyed Elizabeth Knox books, but I couldn't come to terms and feel anything for either of them.

Loved this story about Vanir and Vail. Vanir had a rough upbringing and had been burned in his first relationship so when it comes to Vail it’s hard for him to commit to her. Vail is such a sweet girl who has a good job and who would do anything for Vanir but when time after time and he still can’t commit she decides she is just going to have to move on. A lot happens around that time that she finally comes to that decision along with something major happening and then she is involved in a hit and run accident. Such a great book!

Written by two of my favorite authors, "Menacing" is Vail and Vanir's story. It took me a long time to even like Vanir. I found him a jerk at times and hard to like. Vail on the other hand was a tough strong woman and could give back as well as she takes. They seemed to be okay with their friends with benefits relationship, until things take a turn when it is discovered that Vale has a stalker and is also pregnant. Just how will all of the danger and drama effect their relationship? Easy to read and fast paced, it can be read as a standalone. **I was gifted "Menacing" via Booksprout, leaving my review based on my reading.** 4 Stars!

A great series by Elizabeth Knox and another great book to get your teeth into. The men of this MC are unorthodox because even though they are truly alpha men they can also be rough around the edges. Vanir is one of those men but he also has a soft side which does not show very often unless it comes to his woman Vail. This series is fast paced with lots of action and drama and it is exciting to read. I love all these characters and am enjoying their individual stories very much. A great addition to this series.

For Vanir the club is his life, a family, recently he had been growing close to Vail, but after his past he doesnt do relationships, when his past rears its head he almost loses her. Vail knows Vanir was no saint before, and when trouble comes their way will the MC be able to protect their own? Just who is behind the latest problems? Well written great addition to the series, filled with drama, suspense, desires, hot scenes, and more!

Loved Vanir & Vail

When you have not one but two authors who write awesome MC stories it can’t get any better! Vanir was a commitment phob and that was fine with Vail…for a while. Yes, he had his reasons but Vail had no idea what kept him from making her his old lady after all of this time.

Vail had a stalker in this story but did Vanir really take is seriously? The suspense was awesome as well as the steam between these two. I’ve been following this series and each and every one of these books have been a five-star read for me.
