I had one rule: don't sleep with the talent. Yet, I had no problem breaking it for her.
Rémy
My family had dealt with nefarious people for most of our lives. We became accustomed to it. In fact, we were raised by someone who was the worst of them all. We knew what to look out for, and we became a stronger family unit because of what we endured.
Things had just begun to settle down. Our family had kept another war from starting with a rival family, and for a while the coast was clear. As the one who manages the club we own, Diamond Dancers, I was simply ensuring the show would go on.
We were waiting for our breakout star to come from Europe. We'd booked her a while back, but were forced to wait until she had finished up her previous contractual obligation. I figured she was a phenomenal burlesque dancer, considering my sister-in-law recommended her for the job.
What I didn't expect was that she'd be the most beautiful woman I'd ever meet. One look at her and undeniable desire coursed through me. I knew I couldn't have her. She worked for me, and I never wanted to be that man.
But I saw the way she looked at me too. She was fighting the same urges, and in no time I knew we'd come crashing together. I just never thought it would be quite this powerful.
All the makings of a good book, but it had alot of plot holes and a wide open ending with no hint at which way the multiple story lines will go and it ends with another couples baby’s shower (there story was book 2).
This was a fast-paced book and the story had me glued to my Kindle. This is the story of Remy and Cora. Remy is in charge at the Diamond Dancers club. Seems like each member in the DeLancy family seems to have some type of drama, suspense, love, passion, excitement and turmoil going on in their lives. Remy went to Vegas and ended up married to Brittany. He wants to annul the marriage, but of course Brittany sees a cash cow! Cora is a burlesque dancer who ends up getting hired to be one of the main attractions at the Diamond Dancers club. She is strong, beautiful and very understanding. While others might treat her bad, she always tries to be positive.
When Remy and Cora first lay eyes on each other, there is an instant chemistry. Remy has a rule about dating employees but something about Cora makes him want to break all the rules. The relationship between Cora and Remy has some ups and downs in such a short amount of time, but if they can get through all this, then they should be able to withstand anything! The story kind of ends with a little cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to see what happens with the next DeLancy sibling. There is drama, suspense, violence, secrets, and lots of excitement! Detest (DeLancy Crime Family Book 3) by E.C. Land and Elizabeth Knox is another superb collaboration by these two ladies as Remy DeLancy finally has his story, one that is full of drama, suspense, revenge and love . The DeLancy family has finally found some sense of calm and peace under the leadership of Felix DeLancy after all they had to endure in the past they are concentrating on the family business. Cora out from the influence of her sister is enjoying her new found freedom, loving the city, her job and finally finding a friend with one of the dancers, Poppy who is quirky and loveable.
The love that Remy never thought he would find is front and center as he can no longer deny he wants Cora and goes all in. When he and Cora begin a sexual whirlwind affair it is hot, steamy and full of explosive chemistry as they decide to see where this relationship will lead them. But once again Brittany will try and force her way into Remy's life, will he lose Cora when she learns the truth? With an understanding Cora, she will help Remy when she tells him that maybe he should look into this so called marriage and see if it is legal. Once Cora puts Brittney in her place by defending her man, Remy is ecstatically overwhelmed when Cora gets physical with Brittney. So many twists and turns in this story dealing with Brittney' lies and her ulterior motive, some Diamond Dancers on drugs ending up being tortured and left outside the gates of Chains clubhouse as this is a vendetta against the DeLancy Family and the Inferno Clutch MC by a group called the Uprising. With everything going on we find the women gathering together planning Olivia's gender reveal party as Remy surprises Cora. Remy in front of his family professes his love to Cora by asking her to be his wife as a shocked Cora yells Yes, she is surrounded by so much love she discovers she has finally found her happiness at last.
As Remy and his brothers try to find out more about this group called Uprising who are targeting women in their town, Remy is about to be confronted by a stranger indicating he is his Uncle named Dimitri Savary brother to Deanna DeLancy. Dimitri has come for what was promised to him by Remy's father to take over the DeLancy Family as well as his seek his revenge for the death of his sister by another. Now threats will be made against Remy's sisters if he doesn't comply to Dimitri's demands. When Remy calls out to his brothers to make sure all of his sisters are safe, they discover his sister Desiree has been taken and realized that their Uncle has taken her and is the head of the Uprising. A month goes by and the family is still devastated as they can't find Desiree's whereabouts but as the family gathers together to celebrate Finn & Olivia's gender reveal party, Finn will get the surprise of his life but the celebration is bitter sweet. As Remy and Cora celebrate their love they know trouble is headed towards the whole family. Can't wait for the next book to learn the fate of Desiree and if Dimitri and the Uprising can be stopped.
This is definitely a steamy mafia romance with lots of intrigue. It has a fantastic storyline and strong, very likeable characters. It starts out with Remy DeLancy being annoyed with his "new" wife. You see, he went to Las Vegas on a whim, ended up drunk out of his mind and getting married to a stranger, Brittney, by an Elvis impersonator. He's peeved with her because she had agreed with him to get annulment and then she showed up at his family home in New Orleans claiming that they love each other and just need to work things out. He, in no uncertain terms, told her no, that this farce needed to end and she just needed to sign the paperwork. She then told him that she was pregnant and that the baby was his. He told her that she was lying. He later goes to his club that is part strip club, burlesque club and brothel. While there he meets up with his brother, Felix, and his wife, Madeleine, who are there to meet and introduce a new burlesque dancer, Corentina. The new dancer, also known as Cora, finds Remy extremely handsome and he finds her extremely attractive. The chemistry between the two of them is palpable in the air. Remy has a rule against dating any of the girls under his employment, but he can't fight the attraction between them and decides to go for it. They date for a while and Cora inadvertently discovers that he's married. This is where I'll leave you and if you want to find out what happens next you'll have to get the book. Let's just say it gets really hot from here. There's a fake marriage revealation, club dancers are attacked and mutilated, plus things from the DeLancy family's past rears it's ugly face to confront them in an awful way. This story ends unresolved and many things are left unsolved. I can highly recommend this book plus the entire series because it is well written and quite the page turner. A definite winner all the way around!

I really loved this one! The Delancy women and men are delicious, well matched, and do not take crap from anyone.
Corentina/Cora is a world renowned burlesque dancer. She has come to New Orleans for a new job. Her sister is her manager. Before Corentina starts her new job she gets fed up with how her sister treats her, therefore firing her. When she is introduced to the new staff, Cora is immediately drawn to Remy and he to her. Cora finds unlikely friends in a fellow dancer named Poppy. Poppy is a breath of fresh air, and made me laugh out loud a few times. The other friend is Madeline, who just happens to be the wife of Remy's brother. She is a tattooed goddess, who speaks her mind, and means what she says. I liked the easy flow of the friendships, they did not feel rushed, or underdeveloped.
Remy is as alpha as they come in business and pleasure. Cora explained it well. He commands a room and the people in it. But, Remy has a few skeleton's in his closet, including a wife. He woke up in Vegas, hungover, with no clue of what happened the night before.
I recommend this book. Readers will be absorbed with this book!

EC Land and Elizabeth Knox have certainly done it again. We have been given another great story in the Delancy Crime Family series. What a cliffy of an ending we were left with but before that we read a story that some intrigue, lots of drama and, of course, some steamy moments between our lead characters Remy and Corentina. Remy certainly has an eventful life when he accidently marries Brittany in Las Vegas after a drunken one night stand, although Brittany is a very vindictive person who purposefully set out to drug Remy in her attempt to trap him. Corentina is a new dancer in the family burlesque club that Remy and his family own and when they meet you can feel the attraction between them. Remy does everything to avoid Brittany and ever though she tries to manipulate the situation Remy discovers the truth and is soon rid of her and then he can start his relationship with Corentina. I am eagerly awaiting the next book because we are left on tenterhooks and it promises to be explosive. I can only hope that the Delancy family are strong enough to survive.

Cora is the best in her field of dance. She sells out venues whenever her stage name appears in the headlines. She's driven to be successful, to be perfect, sometimes more than is healthy for her soul. Heading to Diamond Dancers, Cora is ready for a change, especially when she meets Rèmy DeLancy, and ends up swept into a hailstrom of drama and mayhem.
Rèmy made a mistake that is driving him and his family crazy. Not everything that happens in Vegas stays there, apparently. Especially not when it's a gold digging woman who claims she's your pregnant wife. Even worse, this lunatic is interfering with his relationship with the most beautiful woman Rèmy has ever seen.
Like most books by E. C. Land and Elizabeth Knox, this is a short, fast read that leaves you wanting more. The drama is high in this one. And while it deals with the grittier side of New Orleans, it doesn't detract from the story. This one will stay on my favorites list for a long time.

The Delancy Family is back and here we have Remy's story. So we start off with Remy who happened to do something dumb. So he is trying to fix that problem. In the meantime, he is waiting on the new girl to start working. Let's meet Cora, she just signed a contract to work at the Delancy club. When these two meet though, there is a spark. Remy really needs to fix his situation first but however when you know, you just don't think. Cora's sister is not happy about not being her manager anymore. Then there are things happening and it gets crazy. Can he figure out what is going on before it is too late. Well I can say that everything happens so fast in this book but still easy to follow. We do get some answers and get a happy for now. Although it seems like one woman no matter that she is dead is still causing issues and we are left hanging in the end. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
About a month ago, Remy went to Vegas on business and ended up married at a wedding chapel by an Elvis impersonator...thought everything cleared up when he talked to bride and they agreed to get marriage annulled...except now Brittney shows up in New Orleans, claims to be pregnant and wants to give their marriage a chance...meanwhile the nightclub owned by the Delancy family has new dancer featured, Corantina...and Remy is enchanted. He watches Cora's every move and is constantly in the audience when she performs...however he had a rule about not dating the entertainers or employees...until he met her...but what about his so-called wife??? You will need to read this enchanting tale to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Once again we are with the DeLancy family and finally with the guidance of Felix they seem to finally be starting to have a good life This third book is the story of Remy DeLancy first he has to untangle himself from a money grubbing witch he married by mistake and who sees him as a cash cow and then he meets Corentina/Cora a burlesque dancer that his SIL has brought from Europe to dance at The Diamond Dancers Club the family club he manages. He and Cora are instantly attracted to one another but he has a strict no fraternisation policy in regards to the club and its dancers So now not only is he fighting his attraction but also trying to free himself from Brittany the wife he doesn't remember marrying but is all that it seems with his so called marriage and will Cora help him to solve it You will have to read to see
In book #3 we find Remy who is in charge of the dancers at the family owned strip club Diamond Dancers. They have hired a new dancer to be the main show girl in the burlesque part of the show from Germany by the name of Corentina/Cora. It is hot attraction from first sight with Remy and Cora and soon he starts a relationship with her something he has never down before. Also he has a little problem on his hand with a wife he married while drunk in Vegas who claims she is pregnant which he knows is false and he just wants he to sign the annulment papers but Cora finds out by accident that he is married which crushed her heart. Then there is the threat to his dancers when some of them get beaten up badly by someone new to the area which he soon finds out who that is. Wow there is so much going on in this story that just kept me glued.
This is another installment of the Delancy Brother series and I couldn’t put it down. Remy found out that not everything in Vegas stays in Vegas. This would explain his new wife who he had no idea of marrying follows him home and stirs up all kinds of trouble.
Remy is in charge of the Diamond Dancers club in which he is getting a new burlesque dancer named Corentina/Cora and it was lust at first sight. Maybe it was a little more than just lust. I loved watching the relationship between Remy and Cora progress. Cora was very endearing as was her friend Poppy.
I have to say that the ending was killer. I’m waiting on pins and needles to see how the Delancy family is going to handle what was just thrown in their laps!!
We have Remy’s story!!! Yay! Poor Remy had a one night stand, but that one night stand didn’t stay that way. They ended up getting married and says she is pregnant. He has a feeling this person is lying about the baby. Corentina/Cora is the new burlesque dancer at Diamond Dancers and when these two meet, there is an instant connection. They both want each other, but there are problems that both are dealing with. I love the connection between these two. EC and Elizabeth did a great job once again. This series gets better and better. In true fashion this duo gave us the shocking wth moment. You just never know when those shocks will come. I really did enjoy reading Remy and Cora’s story. These two are a perfect match for each other. I loved this stories and the characters.
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Remy and Cora’s story. Remy oversees the Diamond Dancers Club, and Cora is hired as a burlesque dancer and one of the main attractions of the club. The sparks fly when these two meets, and as their relationship evolves the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. There are a few challenges to overcome along the way, including the ramifications of a night Remy has in Vegas that he cannot remember. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and with drama, secrets, twists, suspense, passion, violence, and love, which all leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo of authors’, and I highly recommend their work.
Not at all how I thought this was going to go. I was a bit PISSED at Remy for the first couple of chapters! He was a total JERK no matter what I know that he was just trying to get through a rough patch for a mistake facing the consequences! I understand what he was going through but crap can he act like a man? I get that he had the right idea just the delivery was utterly cruel. He managed to come around when Cora came. The electricity sparking between these two was out of this world. E.C. and Miss Elizabeth know how to set a scene and it is facilitated to a degree of full exposure with all the feels! Absolutely Wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend this story, this series and ANYTHING BY THESE AUTHORS!
Another great addition to the DeLancy Crime Family series by Elizabeth Knox and E. C. Land. These two authors sure know how to keep a person on the edge of their seat. Was hooked from start to finish and so wanting more. Remy runs the Diamond Dancers Club for his family. He has had some trouble in Vegas that just keeps haunting him. What happens in Vegas just didn’t stay in Vegas. Cora is the new headline dancer at the Diamond Dancers Club. She enjoys her new job and freedom. She is making friends and loving it. The attraction for each other is absolutely magnetic. With a fake marriage, drama, danger, revenge, and an explosive chemistry Will Remy and Cora ever get a HEA?

Verified ARC Reader Another DeLacey Romance by sewsummore
Remy DeLancy had a rule, no dating or sleeping with his employees. It was a rule he had no desire to break until he met Corientina, his new headline act at the club. The DeLancy brothers were mafia men and club owners who respected the women who worked for them and treated them well. Cora was a "Burlesque Dancer," she never felt an attraction to any man before Remy, their romance was sudden and unexpected. This book was a quick read with familiar characters from previous books in the series. I enjoyed reading this book, the story-line had some dramatic scenes with unexpected out comes and a pleasing happy ending for Remy and Corientina.

Family Tree presented. Confirmed partners ticked. Trigger warning again mentioned.
3 1/2 star rating
A relaxing read. As this is book 3 in series, it kind of cruised, even though we travelled with Remy and his personal problem. His attraction to his new burlesque dancer Cora also changed his life. The one thing all the siblings do you have in common though is the sexual appetite. A note to be aware of, it appears all of Elizabeths characters cross over between books. Mention of other crime families are present. It may confuse you at times. Again, no spoiling but near the end, the storyline does take a change. Is the series revolving around the stepmother Deanna (deceased)? It appears her plans for the DeLancy siblings are set in stone.
A nice addition to the family series this time it’s playboy Remy whose turn it is to fall.
After a drunken trip to Vegas, it turns out what happened there didn’t stay unfortunately so he finds himself in a predicament, whilst simultaneously falling for the new lead dancer at his club. Timing is everything.
Angst, drama and hot hot scenes abound here in this book alongside fun interactions with the other familial characters and some from other interlinked series.
Enjoyable read and good episode in this long running interlinked world the author has built

Detest is book 3 in Elizabeth Knox's DeLancy Crime Family series. The series is full of the hot and steamy but also has a ongoing mystery. This book ends cliffhanger setting up next book.
The men are strong alphas who protect their women. The women love their men and can be pretty protective of them. The book is short and is a pretty quick read but you won't put it down. This story entwines with E.C. Land Inferno Clutch series with a crazy cult out to get both groups. I recommend starting the begining and reading both series (not sure the plot will make much sense without it).
This is the third book in the DeLancy Crime Family series by E.C. Land and Elizabeth Knox. This is another great read by these two ladies as the DeLancy family tries to find a sense of calm in the family since the death of their father. This story is about Remy DeLancy and a new Diamond Dancer named Corentina/Cora. When Remy is introduced to Cora he has an instant chemistry with her but he tells himself you don't sleep with your employees. Will the attraction between the two have Remy breaking his own rule?

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. The third book in the DeLancy Crime Family series is about Remy. He is having the usual DeLancy drama and bad timing. Cora is the new headliner at the Dimond Dancers club. She and Remy have an instant attraction to each other. Things are complicated to say the least. They will have to fight for their happy future together. I really liked this book and all of the characters. It has plenty of family, drama, intrigue, lust and love. I cannot imagine what the next book about Tristan will be like.

Remy is trying to get his marriage to Britteny annulled. When he was in Vegas he ended up married. (Or was he?) Remy totally detest Britteny and all he wants is to be free. Remy is meeting his new dancer and once he sees her he is totally smitten. First he has to get rid of Britteny. Cora (Corentina) is attracted to Remy and they have the hottest chemistry together. This story has everything in it, drama, crime, drugs, secrets, lies, anger, fear, revenge, compassion, violence, kidnapping, passion and Love. This is a great series. Can't wait for the next book to come out. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Detest is the third book in the DeLancy Crime Family series and is the story of Remy Delancy and Corentina "Cora". But then add in one drunken Vegas Elvis wedding, a wife he cannot get rid of, an off the chart attraction that is out of bounds and a whole host of other things going on with the family, the businesses and personally for both of Remy and Cora. This is a very fast-paced story that crams a lot into the story-line. I liked both Remy and Cora and their instant attraction and white hot chemistry.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Remy and Cora take you on an emotional, intense, sweet, crazy read. From a psycho stalker, to a missing sibling and so much more in between, you won't be disappointed but by the end left wanting more. Remy wakes up married in Vegas and trying to have it annulled, but when he meets Cora their attractions is instant, but with the woman following him will he be able to fix the mistake he made? Cora just got to New Orleans from overseas and is working at the club and when things progress with Remy and what will happen when she does? This series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to read what the next has in store.
Rèmy Delancy had been waiting for the new Burlesque dancer to arrive for a year and as soon as he sets eyes on her he wants her but he has rules, never mix business with pleasure, as he gets to know her that rule soon goes out of the window as Cora feels the same for him as he does for her, there is a problem though in the shape of a wife.........
Of course there is more to it and I enjoyed every page turning moment.

Remy stupid an drunk in Vegas got married. Whoops now he can't seem to get rid if her. Cora new dancer at the club also has a priblem. Her sister which she she dumps her as her manger. But this is the DeLancy and there is always someone trying to take them out. Remy and Cora a little problem when he nay be married and then someone is trying to take over the family business apart from Dad and Step mom Deanne. Wow... I need the next story swap because Now ONE of the sisters is missing.
Another DeLancy sibling, Remy gets his HFN story. Before that however, he suffers through most of the book with an unwanted chain around his neck that he's desperate to rid himself of (no spoilers here). He meets Cora, the burlesque dancer at their club who attracts him like no other. She has her own issues to deal with so it's a race to see if they can get together without these added problems in their way. As usual with these authors it's a HFN story.

The Delaney family is back and it’s Remy story. Trying to fix a problem he created during a night of pleasure in Vegas falls short when he meets Cora the newest hit at their club. What happens when attraction cannot be denied made for a delicious steamy mafia must read with drama, danger and a HEA. The story doesn’t end here though as we get a surprise at the end that will have you craving for more of this series that doesn’t disappoint.
