Destined by the Fates #2

Crapity-crap on a candlestick! I messed up and BIG. I trusted a longtime family friend to help me get the answers to questions and to make sure what happened to Ryker's sister never happened to another member of his pack again.

I quickly realized that I'd bitten off more than any wolf, or even any vamp, could chew.

First, being without my mate physically cost me, not to mention the whirlwind I felt in my heart.

Secondly, I found myself in an unknown land, trapped with no way of getting back to my mate.

Third, a total-pompous douche canoe named Cain believes that I'm prophesied to be his wife, which is impossible because, news flash—I'm already fated.

Cain will do anything in his power to use my mate against me. Now that I know what I am and what I can do, I'll do anything in my power to make sure that Ryker's safe.

I can't do it.
After Ariel, REPEATEDLY, made stupid choices and still did not learn from them--- I just can't.

Every time she just says something akin to, "I may have acted rashly" or "I may have jumped the gun" or "I may have acted preemptively", ect.

No, you totally made dumbass decisions and people have been injured or tortured as a result. Does she learn? Nope. Not only that, her mate just keeps telling her, "it's okay, I know you didn't mean to...[insert whatever stupid choice she made]".

I was initially intrigued by her not traditionally going along with the "fated mates" thing, because that is realistic shit. Finally one person is fated mates and the other is not of the species and does not "inta-luv" the other person.

(I know, I know, this is all fictional anyways-- whatever)

However, I cannot get over her actions, in this book! She reminds me of Claire in "Outlander". (Do not get me started on that woman)

Ariel keeps making HORRIBLE choices. You THINK she would listen to someone that KNOWS a little bit about the supernatural. Considering he has known about the supernatural his whole life AND is a werewolf AND is your mate.

I mean, you were kept in the dark your whole life about what you are, but obviously you can make good choices with no information...

Yeah, yeah, that is working out well...

please keep going!!!

Ok I gotta get it out- please make this a series. Please please let Elle and Ryker have a continuation. After everything we learn in this book, I’m really just not ready to let them go. I have so many things I wanna talk about but I really don’t want to do spoilers. But I love everything I discovered. I love the growth from both Elle and Ryker. I adore mindy. I really like ledger and Gabriel. There’s some big surprises in here. Cain is absolutely awful! But I think there’s still so much we could keep going with and I’m crossing my fingers that the author keeps going!!!! It was quite awesome.

You will not want to put this book down. Ryker and Elle story is like nothing I've ever read before. I don't know of any books like this story. Abby has done it again. So worth the wait. You can not guess what's happening next, which I love. Can't wait for the third book in this series.

Intended by the Rose is everything I wanted and more for Ariel and Ryker. For you paranormal lovers out there this is book 2 in the Destined by the Fates series and must be read in series order. I love how this picks up right where Fated Under the Moon left off. It makes for a perfect binge read to fall in love with Ariel and Ryker. We get all the answers we are looking for as Ariel seek what she is. I love how the bond between Ryker and Ariel continues to grow stronger even through all the dangers they face as the get the answers to everything they seek. Ariel's powers grow stronger and it's beautiful to watch her grow with them and Ryker becomes so much more in love with her. I love how the pack welcomes her in. Fate has its hand with Ryker and Ariel as Ariel must make her choice. I love Ariel and Ryker so much. This book and series will have you hooked. I want more Destined by the Fates. Abby McCarthy hits this one out of the park with all her words. You need to one click this one toady.

This series has made me realise how much I love werewolf and fated mates books. I always love seeing the bond strength and the couples relationship ship grow, which is exactly what happened during this book.

The whole novel was filled with adventure for the pack and mystery. We saw new/old relationships surface and hear from the fates and lucifer themselves.
This was such a thrilling book. Seeing Elle and Ryker go through so much during the duration of the book was incredible.
I do feel as if some things went a little too fast, I wish there was more when exploring everything.

I loved seeing Elle and Ryker through this book and all of the other characters. It was great to see the pack flourish and also that we see Elles new relationship with Gabe.

I loved this book and hope there is more to the story as mentioned in the epilogue!

I felt like this read was going to wreck me and I was not wrong. I felt the pain of Ariel and Ryker as they were separated. As soon as Ariel in an unknown land she knew she was wrong. She is blocked from finding her past and tries all she can to return home. When Ryker shows up it is a fight to free both of them.

The action and angst in this read was non stop. I was biting my nails constantly. There were times I was holding my breath waiting to see if some of the characters were ok. The most beautiful part of the story was watching Ariel learn and accept her powers. She was truly magical.

So many twists and turns in this story. Ms McCarthy does a fantastic job of world building. There are times you feel like you are right in the middle of the action and you will feel the emotions of all the characters.

This series was my first time reading “darker” fantasy romance and it had me hooked. There were some spelling errors here and there which is why I gave it a 4/5. However if she were going to write a 3rd book in the series I’d read it in a heart beat.

SPOILERS:

I would love to read a third book about raising her daughter, continue the story line with Lucifer and his plans for her and her child, and what the fates saw for them at the end of the book. Also would love to see what species/mix of species the author would make the child to be. Like is she going to be part wolf, angle and vampire!? And if she is all three will she be able to shift as a wolf!? It would be wild if Lucifer was her child’s fated mate but that would be really messed up as Lucifer would have to win then and I want them to beat him. So yea… I’d read a third book.

Betrayed by a close family friend is the worst.
Getting kidnapped and tortured is another thing but having claimed by a psycho thinking he's the messiah is on another level of delusion and danger.

This second book definitely gave Ariel the power she needed to work on her capabilities. Thru these, she gained allies and solidified the bond with her new found love.

Though the pacing is a bit off, sometimes the words spoken by characters are out of place or a bit forced, still this book/series as a whole have a lot of potential.

Looking forward to the 3rd installment. Abby McCarthy sure knows how to entice readers to a hold .

This one just got weird, too much going on and happened. Especially the ending, like what? I preferred the first book over this one but don’t get me wrong, imma still continue on this journey, I need to know what happens haha.

I’m sorry, how this book has 4 stars is beyond me. It was not good, the writing was bad, the editing was bad, the plot had a chance to be really good but there was nothing unique about it, it followed your basic fantasy. Also, it’s categorized as a paranormal romance… nothing paranormal about it.

It just became so unrealistic in the 2nd book.
I really liked the first book, but this just got very over exaggerated for my liking.
