I picked this series up as it's been sitting on my to read list for a while.
I ended up devouring this series in 24 hours. It's sparked the whole mafia romance kick for me. I enjoyed the innocent relationship between our main characters and can't wait for the next one in the series to come out. The artwork is really well done.

Whoa, Keiya moves fast 😂 I liked that this volume showed the differences in their way of thinking - that isn’t just an age thing or him being weird, people don’t always define love in the same way. And it’s important to straighten that out to avoid misunderstandings. I loved his discussion with her friends, and their total shock over his actions. I think Isaku needs to learn how to have a proper conversation with Keiya. They need to work consciously to break away from their parent/child relationship and build a couple relationship.

I wonder if grandpa will give him a beating, to at least satisfy ritual for stepping over the line. Or has he seen this coming and approved of it for a long time? Keiya never seemed concerned about anybody else knowing about his interest in her.

That bonus chapter was hilarious. He more or less forced her to draw him , then bragged to her grandpa and mischaracterized the situation 😂

I think this volume was a bit less crazy drama wise - as in yakuza drama wise, but a lot of fun regarding how we might see love differently, how our mentality on stuff differs and not just because their age difference; although Keiya definitely has some issues and I find him weird at times - I am curious about his background now, like how did he become yakuza and how did he become 2nd in command? I hope to get that in the next volume, especially because the grandpa probably figured it out by now!!

Anyway, good soup this volume.

The secondhand embarrassment was strong in this one. She's so young and innocent and he's not lol it's creepy but the katana thing was hot and her response was really on brand for her character. Enjoyed this one more but, I can't believe I'm going to say this, it needs more action now to keep things exciting and not another stupid kidnapping.

In questo sesto volume la nostra dolcissima Isaku riesce a rimboccarsi le maniche e a confessare, grazie ad una spintarella 😉, a Keiya quello che prova nei suoi confronti. La reazione del ragazzo però non è proprio quella che Isaku si sarebbe aspettata, contrariamente a ciò che sperava la ragazza comincia a dubitare dei veri sentimenti di Keiya nei suoi confronti e dopo una serie di tentativi di riconciliazione da parte di Keiya, finalmente i due appianano le loro divergenze e si professano il loro amore. Tutta questa situazione è nuova per Isaku che non sa esattamente come comportarsi, anche Keiya, sebbene più grande, non ha ben chiaro quali siano i vari passaggi in una relazione. Staremo a vedere 🤷🏻‍♀️ il volume si conclude con l’apparizione del boss del clan Senagaki 😏 il nonno di Isaku li avrà scoperti?… 🧐

Lei e il suo cane da guardia è un manga che mi ha conquistata dal primo capitolo. Non riuscivo a smettere di leggere: tutto, dai personaggi alla loro dinamica, è adorabile e super coinvolgente!
La protagonista, Isaku, è dolce e determinata e il suo rapporto con Keiya, il suo “cane da guardia”, è semplicemente meraviglioso. La chimica tra i due è ciò che amo maggiormente: tensione, complicità, momenti dolci e romantici, tutto reso con delicatezza e cura. Ho adorato la rappresentazione teatrale di Romeo e Giulietta e, senza dubbio, ciò che rende questo manga così bello è l'attenzione che Keiya dona costantemente e esclusivamente ad Isaku: Keiya è gelosissimo e possessivo nel modo giusto, e adoro come la protegge e interagisce con lei con dolcezza e premura. Niente è più importante di lei ai suoi occhi.
L’age gap tra i protagonisti è un filino discutibile, ma onestamente… è un manga. Leggo tante recensioni critiche sull'argomento (in generale sia per i libri che per i manga) ed è davvero semplice: leggete la trama, informatevi sui triggers, se non fa per voi andate avanti. Non vale davvero la pena creare un polverone sul nulla e soffermarcisi così tanto. La storia riesce a essere emozionante, divertente e tenera allo stesso tempo e non stiamo certo parlando di due bambini!
Detto questo, il nonno di Isaku (con il suoi gattoni) è assolutamente iconico: capo del clan yakuza, è presente nei momenti giusti, aggiunge leggerezza alla storia e la rende molto più divertente!
L’arte è pulita, espressiva e cattura perfettamente le emozioni dei personaggi: dai gesti teneri alle scene romantiche ogni personaggio ha la sua funzione e contribuisce alla trama senza mai essere superfluo. Ma poi, dobbiamo parlare di quanto siano belle le copertine? E' la prima cosa che ha colto la mia attenzione in libreria!
Non vedo l’ora che l’autrice continui la serie!
