Excellent sci fi adventure

Soundless Conflicts wasn't a fluke. Walker can write great science fiction. Unfortunately, Walker doesn't have a problem with breaking a reader's heart by killing a whole bunch of characters. I thought Conflicts was difficult to read; Victories takes heartbreak to a completely new level of pain. But I did laugh out loud several times, and there are several Happily For Nows. The world building is excellent, the characters pull you into the story, and the story is absolutely riveting. I'm hoping the ending is a tease for a third book, because I'm eager to see what happens next.

I almost don't know where to start except to say this book may solidly hook me into the SCI/Fi genre. S. Walker's manor of character development and introduction is amazing and seems to flow into the story as a chef's spices to his culinary masterpiece.
A previous reviewer alluded to a series of short stories, would be interested if they are in print and if so where might a reader find them.
Over my many years I have several favorite authors; Flynn, Gresham, Clancy and Archer among them. If Walker continues to write in this current style I will be adding his books to my overflowing Tomes.
