Hindsight Being 2020

Rate this book
2020 was a year that will go down in infamy. There was a pandemic, people died, rioting in the streets, so many things that I can't even remember.

But while I was sitting in my tiny apartment for months on end, I wrote. And wrote. And wrote some more. And kept writing. Poetry and short stories. Some made it into journals and anthologies. Some were read aloud and acted out by me and my friends.

2020 may have been a year that will go down in infamy, but it wasn't all bad.

Let me tell you a story.

Starting from the beginning, my name is Eli Kwake, pronounced ˈilaɪ kwāk. I am pansexual, polyamorous, and genderqueer. My pronouns are they/them. I am a musician, an artist, a writer, a drag king, a lover, a spouse, a friend, a foe, a human, a dragon. I make no apologies for who and what I am. I was forged in fire. I am bigger on the inside.

It’s nice to meet you.

Interesting self-discovery pieces

The writing is really good in this book. I do not struggle with the issues of most of the subjects of the pieces, however, I find it explains things and ways people deal with their issues. I appreciate different perspectives from people, so this was enlightening.
