DNF at 10%
The writing style is choppy, and the pacing feels disjointed. Connor sounds like a jerk, and Ana sounds boring. I have a 10% rule, and this book did not pass my test. On to the next!

This wasn’t a bad book overall, it took a bit to get into at first but was a quite enjoyable read. Anna Shelton is an archaeologist and after selling a painting that was the same era it turn out to be a forgery and now the man that brought it wants his money back and will stop at nothing to get it, so she needs to find someone to protect her while she retrieves the gold coins she has hidden in the mountains hoping they will bring in enough money to get rid of Vincent Barrows. So after placing an ad on a dating website offering her virginity as payment and she is contacted by Conner Felton a wolf shifter with his own protection business. Conner wants to meets the woman that’s still a virgin I this day and age, and when he does he is captivated by her presence and can tell that she is truly a virgin and wasn’t lying and decides to take on the job because he doesn’t want her to be with anybody else but him. So they in bark on this adventure together but the intense and powerful chemistry between is causing problems for the both.Anna just want it to be over with and is excited that it will be with Conner and Conner is have trouble focusing on the job because he wants her so bad that he misses that they are being followed by 3 bounty Hunters sent by Vincent. With danger come at them will they make it to the artifacts and get them before they try and take them away from her. When Conner changes before her she is shocked at first and doesn’t understand what he wants from her until he bites her to get moving, now she’s running for her life a d makes it back to the car only to have Vincent waiting for her with her brother held hostage. Vincent demands more money for the return of her brother and she agrees. How does it all turn out between them all, you’ll never know if you don’t get this book.

Can Life get any harder?
Conner, a wolf shifter, is trying to pick up more business for his protection agency. Things have been slow and he doesn’t want to take on any questionable clients if he can help it. His friend suggests he go to a shifter matchmaking site and place an ad. He says there are always women on there looking for a shifter to protect them from their human men. He is skeptical, but looks up the site and sees that there really are women that need help on the site. One ad in particular catches his eye so he calls her.
Anna is an Archeologist that is taking care of her brother and trying to pay for her parents nursing home care. She feels like she is always one step away from disaster. She made an honest mistake selling an old picture to an art dealer that turned out to be a fake, an old fake, but still fake. She owes him the money and has been putting him off until she can retrieve some old coins she discovered on a dig. She has hidden them on a mountain and needs someone to protect her while she goes and retrieves them. She puts an ad on a shifter matchmaking site, but so far hasn’t gotten anyone that is willing to take that risk, until Conner calls her. She isn’t completely honest with him because she is afraid he will back out like the others when he finds out the art dealer has sent bounty hunters after her. When he finds out who the art dealer is and that he is pretty dirty, he knows he should walk away but he suspects Anna is his mate and he can’t leave her unprotected. So up the mountain they go, as prepared as Conner can be. Unfortunately the art dealer sends three bounty hunters after them with orders to kill Conner so he can have all of Anna’s treasure. And for added security, he kidnapes her brother. Will they survive the journey and the bounty hunters only to loose everything to get her brother back? A great story!

Conner was trying to be a better person and stay on the legal side of things. He was a body guard and needed new clients. His buddy Jack told him to check dating services sites for women, there were always some woman in need of protection. He decided to look and found odd requests. One stood out "In need of protection", it grabbed his attention. It said "I am in need of protection in a mission that I have." But what really got him was that she was willing to give up her virginity in payment. Anna was in trouble. She owed money to Vincent and needed to collect some valuable artifacts to take care of all her problems. But no one answered her other ad so she added her virginity to get some attention. She was desperate. Connor was interested in the money, until he met her. Let the adventure begin. I am leaving this review for having received the ARC but I do so gladly because this was a great read. This was a story unlike any I have read, it was unique. The characters had great chemistry and they had different outlooks. You will not be disappointed in the story and will enjoy it.

Just about ready to give up, Connor found an ad wanting protection services with an unusual “payment”. So he called the woman to see what she needed.
Anna Shelton finally got a reply to her ad. Connor Felton was a wolf shifter. He arranges to meet with her. Connor is in the business of protection but his business is slow so a friend Jack suggested Dewdrop Dating Agency Strang way to pick up clients but okay. Well he found a client and a women but she's gotten herself into a whole lot of trouble. Anna didn't know the painting was a forgery but her client isn't being nice about it now he wants his money one way or the other. This book was good but there were some unanswered questions for me who was Connor before he refers to a shady past how could Anna not now her business partner was shady and what's wrong with her brother. Connor was a more interesting character and Anna was kinda annoying at times other then that it was and okay read.

So many errors
I gave up on this book at 14% due to the sheer volume of typos etc. E.g. Use of threatened when threaten should have been used. Words in plural, where they should have been singular. Words missing, poor grammar, etc. In fact there was at least one error on each page, which makes it appear that nobody has read it since it was written and it ended up being published without any editing input. I thought the idea was good and was looking forward to it, but there were so many mistakes on every page of the book that I got too annoyed to continue with it.

This book had so much potential and I was really excited to start the book, but after the first few chapters, the book went downhill quite fast
It was like the second half of the book was written by someone else and rushed, the book definitely needed to be proof read again, as there were so many mistakes and some sentences didn’t even make sense, no matter how many times I re-read it
I liked both characters to start with but as soon as they did the deed, they severely changed and they became very dislikable people, again it felt like someone else wrote the second half of the book

I loved reading this story. I had issues with typos,but I still finished reading the book. I loved the characters, Connor and Anna. Anna was an archeologist who found artifacts, supported her parents and brother. Connor was a wolf shifter looking for a job. Anna ended up owing a lot of money to someone who was very dangerous. This is when the story becomes filled with a lot of action and romance. The book is fun and great reading other than grammatical errors. Thank you. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of the book.

I gave this 3.5 stars because I was just left with too many questions. I wanted to know about the shots, what was wrong with her brother and why where both her parents in a nursing home. They had to be in their 50’s or 60’s. Just wanted more details. The story was good and there was some suspense. The ending was good.

Fire editor
This needs to be proof read before being published. There are grammar errors and typos all over the place. Then other places where the tenses do not match. Please get an editor that cares a bit more. Story was ok, but in order to have a brave and independent heroine, she needs to think like that. The first night in the cave she can't make up her mind if she wants to clear or not. Keep with the character trees and have someone else proof read.

This book was filled with action and drama with a lot of romance. Connor was amazing with the protective and caring side to Anna innocence and sometimes naive nature. The storyline was excellent and kept me captivated to the very end

Connor’s attention is caught by Anna’s ad for a bodyguard due to the incentive she is offering. Little did he know that both of their lives would be on the line and her brother’s too. Good story, but felt the characters could have been better drawn. Good read.

The story line is a little weak and unrealistic. It takes months to get an appraisal on artifacts and before you see any money. I have done proofreading before and this had so much poor grammar and typographical errors that parts were almost impossible to understand.

I really enjoyed this story. The beginning was a tad rough but I kept with it. The rating went down due to the grammatical errors / spelling. It threw me off on more than one occasion. Also, the pacing sometimes felt... wrong. Off. Not sure, but it's a good short story.
