Mac Klein had made a series of disciplined life choices. He was now thirty years old and a successful professional athlete. He lived in a beautiful mansion in Seattle with plenty of room to surround himself with family and friends. He devoted all his time and energy to his career, and he had no interest in starting a serious relationship with a woman.
He certainly would never think of looking up his childhood crush on social media so he could contact her in an effort to reconnect. Mac would never do that. He wasn't even the social media type. His sister, Katie, was, but she wouldn't do something as bold as reaching out to Morgan Lake on his behalf (and without his permission).
Or maybe she would. After all, sometimes a little family interference was necessary when love was on the line.

A lovely, heartwarming story, and I liked Mac & Morgan, as well as their setup, but their relationship transition felt a little generic. The ending has a fun variation, however, and it was the reliable dose of happy that I can always count on from Brooke's books!
Adorable as always. Pure sweetness. I come to Brooke St. James’s books to be swept away in an ardent love story because she’s so good at that. The conflicts are light, which I actually really enjoy. Perfect for those times your heart is just feeling a little too heavy for angst and you just want a straight shot of feel good. 🥰
This one is great if you love that element of “meant to be” and a soul mate type connection. Actually that’s basically all her books. ☺️ So definitely check them out if you love reading about people who fall quickly and fall hard, in a way that will carry your heart away too.
There is just something I love about this author’s sweet books. There’s always minimal drama and just a feel good happy story. This had great reacquainted and second chance meet cute scenes. I love how Mac was focused on his career and only ever came across one woman who had the potential to distract him in the best sort of way. Had a few really cute pranks. I loved little Victoria and how she fell for Mac, it must be genetic, like mother like daughter. 4.5 stars Rating: PG, clean, promotes positivity in the face of life changing events, appreciating opportunities.
While this book had potential, I felt like I was reading a story written by a high school student. The dialogue was child like and to be honest. I couldn’t bring myself to finish the book.
Book 7 in the Brooke St. James series Bank Street Stories moves on to the next generation with Lucy Klein's son, Mac, a backup quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. He remembers meeting and playing with Morgan Lake, a girl a few years younger than him, when his uncle Evan (Feels Like Home) played at Nebraska, where her father was coaching. Nearly 20 years later, he still talks about her, so his sister Katie sends Morgan a message in Mac's name and invites her to call him. She's in San Diego now, widowed with a two-year-old daughter (shades of Mac's own history as the son of a single mother in Diamonds Are Forever, although that isn't brought up in this book).
Mac is thrilled to hear from his childhood crush and agrees to her invitation to visit her family in California. They have a wonderful time together, and little Victoria loves Mac, easing Morgan's fear that he won't want to take on an instant family. She breaks up with him when he goes back to Seattle for training camp---the closest thing to a conflict in the story---but things work out for that adorable couple in true St. James style.
See You in Seattle is the most passionate of the Bank Street stories, with Mac and Morgan sharing an open-mouthed kiss as their first kiss. It's implied that Morgan, a mother of a toddler, has experience in that area, but Mac, despite his forwardness in kissing, proves a gentleman by telling her that, given his level of temptation, he thinks they should get married as soon as possible.
This story is billed as a romance, not a rom-com, so the lack of any troubling incidents is not surprising. St. James succeeds in portraying characters who are engaging and endearing, and Mac is realistically drawn as a grown-up version of his demonstrative preschool self (Diamonds Are Forever) and his football-obsessed but still demonstrative 10-year-old self (Feels Like Home), while new character Morgan is just the right woman for him.
No matter what series BSJ writes, her fans know each book is solid. There a unique details in each story and I end up loving each of the characters. You won't find profanity, promiscuity or drama. I'm excited with every new release and happy from start to finish. We met Mac in Lucy and Drew's book (#2) when he was a little boy. He stole everyone's heart then and I am so glad we see him as an adult. If I had a vote, we'd get to read about every one of his cousins! Morgan and Victoria deserved Mac's huge heart and again, I can't stress the uniqueness with attention to fun and interesting details! 5 Stars!!!
Cute story, I love that they were childhood friends. Victoria is adorable. Fun read. The family connections are something Brook St. James does amazingly well and it always makes me reread the series when a new one comes out, haha. I haven't yet with Bank Street but it'll happen! If you enjoy sweet romances with some meaning as well as the fun, definitely start at the beginning of the series or read some others by this author. She can mix the serious with the sweet and tells good stories. Definitely recommend.
I adored this book so much! I've read every Banks Street book so far, and, while they're all dear to my heart, this one just trumped them all. Morgan and Mac are so cute together, and I loved all their interactions with each other, as well as with little Victoria Mae. This book made me laugh--What the Samuel Hill?(inside joke.)--and sigh in sheer happiness. Way to go, Brooke! Keep 'em coming!!
I just can't get enough of Brooke's family books and this one is no exception! The storyline is so good, the pacing perfect for a Rom Com and I adored the interaction between Mac and Morgan. Just an all around sweet romance! Can't wait to read book 8 and see who that will be about!
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Mac Klein is a successful football player for the Seattle Seahawks and is not married. He remembers Morgan Lake his childhood crush whose husband had died. When his sister reached out to her, she called him which started a new relationship between them. This is a heartwarming and delightful story of love and commitment
This story literally had me laughing out loud, I love Brooke’s books and this one didn’t let me down! I was pulling for them through the whole story, I LOVE this couple!
Love the story content. Like the goodness displayed in the context. I'm having a hard time remembering the history of the other books but enough hints are given to keep me updated. Am a former Nebraska resident. go Buskers!!!
I just love how Brooke St James writes. I never have to worry about vulgar language or risqué scenes. The books are always really delightful and I look forward to the next one as I finish up the current one!!
