In The Seduced Donna Grant brings her Rogues of Scotland Series to a conclusion. We have the answer as to the real reason these four men were transported in time.. well frozen in time, er hidden in time??
The Rogues, "Four Highlanders whose bond of brotherhood finds each of them cursed. It'll take special women willing to break the curse - and bet on love."
It's Daman's story, the last of the four friends and the one have wondered why since the very beginning..
Innes MacKay is the only sister in the McKay family. Forced to choose between her volatile brother and her, concerned caring one. It's really a no brainer. Innes knows who would be a better leader for her clan and backs her oldest brother. But she knows he can't save the clan alone and decides to awake the warrior sleeping in the cave. A warrior that has been there for centuries, a man her family has been protecting all along. Except Innes, felt more for this mysterious man than just protection.. He has haunted her dreams and desires..
Daman Thacker spent his life refusing to ask for help. On his own he has become a premier warrior.. but the one thing he depends on is always his three best friends. When he they attend a gypsy camp for an evening of fun, Daman has misgivings and remains outside the camp. But when they are threatened he enters the circle and he too is cursed. Only he is cursed to a sort of eternal sleep. Over 200 years later he hears a voice in the darkness that brings him to the light and awakens him. To a new world, new challenges and without his memory or worse, his voice. All he connects to is one woman..
Why was Daman cursed? He was truly a good man who stood by his friends but didn't do anything that would cause himself to be cursed? It seems Daman was important to a future battle. To save a clan from extinction. And to bring the four men back together.. except how can that be when he can't remember who he is or why he is there?
A short book that packs a powerful punch. Donna didn't waste a single letter as she created her finale.. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and series..
What a wonderful ride this little series has been: 4 young highlanders cursed by a gypsy are each sentenced to 200-ish years of isolation and penance. Last to come to life is Daman, reputed to be the savior of Innes McKay’s clan. Believing she alone held the secret, Innes spent many hours visiting and talking to the sleeping warrior in a cave not far from her keep. With her father’s death sending the clan into tumult, her own brothers Alistair and Donald are locked in a battle for clan control, and Innes fears the end is near.
When Daman wakes, he is instantly drawn to find something – but he knows not what. His memory, along with his voice are lost. Functioning on instinct, he hears the voice of Innes, and is instantly drawn to her. Saving her from a very angry and murderous Donald, Alistair and Innes welcome him into their clan.
The connection between Innes and Daman is instant – there is a communication that surpasses all words, yet Daman must watch her betrothal to a rival clan head to ensure the safety of the withering McKays. It is here that his friends: Ronan, Morcant and Stefan find their long lost friend.
Action, suspense and the final answers to the curse as the story comes full circle with Daman’s experience. A lovely series with each character presenting with their own issues to overcome on their way to finding love some 200 years after their own time. Final answers about the curse and a lovely epilogue at the end brings this series to a close. For an afternoon’s escape read – you need look no further than this series!
I received an eArc copy of the title from the author for purpose of honest review for The Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
I loved the conclusion of the four books. The characters all had unique personalities that work well together. All four men need to overcome something in order to be released from their respective curses.
Waking 200 years after being cursed by a gypsy, Daman recalls the woman who has watched over him for years. Daman awakes mute and communicates with through eye contact and touching. He falls for Innes while trying to help the clan laird keep control of the clan. As drama unfolds at a meeting of the clans, Daman finds his voice and remembers his friends at last.
Okay, I can't believe I didn't know about this series sooner. Absolutely loved it. 4 highlanders, best friends, cursed by a gypsy. Their quest for redemption and how they find love along the way.
Read in Kindle Unlimited, but loved it so much I had to own the series!
The stories were nice to read but they had the same storyline nothing varied except the men and the women. Ahhh 😌 if only life was that predictable hehe ⚔️ 🏹🔮
This is the final book in the Rogue's of Scotland #4
As with the other 3 books I loved this one, too. Loved Daman and Innes. Love the different way each one, Daman, Ronan, Morcant and Stefan, were trapped until just the right time for them to be released. I liked her brother Alistair but I really hated her other brother Donald. He was such a creep. The sexual tension was nice, as was the sex. I'm looking forward to DG's Moon Thrall (the LaRue's), due out April 13th. And Night's Blaze coming out March 10 in four parts, which I will wait for all of them before I start to read. I'm loving all these novellas of Ms. Grants.
The following is my reviews from last year.
Book #3 The Tempted
Love these books. It just takes to long for them to come out. Loved Stefan and Morvan, and was glad they met up with Ronan and Morcant. I can't wait for Daman's story. He was never identified as such but I'm assuming he's a berserker? I mean, if he takes on ten men at a time and wins and her touch calms him, keeps him from unleshing his "monster" what else can he be. Anyway, great story, great sexual tension and great sex.
Book #2 The Hunger
I read The Craving back in March and happened across this one just recently. For a short story it was very, very good. I really liked Morcant and Leana AND I have to say that I love, love, loved it when they had sex and she "whispered" Morcant's name. I get so damn tired of these authors who insist on their heroines "screaming" the hero's name when they have an orgasm. THAT is just so ridiculous. IMO! I, also, liked Morcant's friends, Ronan, Stefan and Daman and I'm really looking forward to the next book, due out in January.
Book #1 The Craving
This was very short but still a good read. I liked the magic mirror and the love that grew between Ronan and Meg. I just wish it had been a full length book. I know more and more authors think this is the way to sell their books but I just don't like waiting months or years for the next installment, but I guess I have to, don't I? I'd like to just say "the heck with Donna Grant" but that's not possible. So, I wait, along with everyone else. LOL..
A fitting conclusion to this series of the 4 highlander men, brothers not by blood but of the heart, and all cursed by a gypsy over 200 years ago. In this final book we find out why the gypsy placed the curse upon them all, and it would seem all was not what it seemed in the first book. The reason becomes apparent with Daman's awakening as it were. Trouble is brewing within Innes' clan and she believes that Daman is the answer to her prayers. She is unaware that throughout the years she has watched over him he has heard her voice and felt her touch, so when he is awakened all he wants is to find her, he is already in love with her before he even meets her. Unfortunately he is unable to speak (part of the gypsy curse), this is where it gets really interesting as Grant very cleverly portrays the conversations between Daman and Innes with looks and gestures. There are no need for words on Daman's part because they understand each other perfectly, they are attuned to each others thoughts and feelings so succinctly that at times i felt like an interloper intruding on their private moments, it was beautifully done. This couple for me were the most erotic and sensual because they conveyed everything with touch and looks & feeling, which i loved. The culmination of the book was the coming together of the 4 `rogues' and their women & the realisation that perhaps the curse placed upon them was meant to be after all.
"The Seduced" by Donna Grant. Book 4 in the Rogues of Scotland series. **final book**
What an excellent way to end such a great novella series! All four stories are brought together so nicely in this last novella about Daman and Innes. A slightly different twist in this book than the others makes this one really stand out and complete the overall storyline of all four books.
Daman has just been woken up from a sleeping spell he's been under for the last 200 years. He doesn't remember his past. All he remembers is the sound of a woman's voice talking to him as he slept. All he knows is that he has to find her and protect her. And the amulet she gave him is somehow very important. But when Daman finds Innes and tries to speak with her, he can't. He's mute now but he's sure he wasn't before the spell. Now Daman finds himself with the MacKaye clan where Innes's brothers are feuding and their clan may go to war with the Sinclairs clan. And it's his destiny to stop it.
Such a great ending to such a great series! I loved each and every novella!
What a great ending to the rouges of Scotland series, The seduced is the fourth installment of the series, and here we finally get to see what happen to Daman, the fourh highlander to be cursed by the old gypsy in 1427 Scotland, Daman has been sleeping for 200 years, protected by the gypsies until the day he is needed. And for the lovely Innes, Daman is more then a sleeping highlander he is her hope for her clan, and her secert fantasy. For she longs to see him awaken and to be able to look into his eyes, and As for Daman it's IInes voice that keeps him together, and when he wakes to no voice or memories it's IInes who becomes his hope, and somethmg to fight for.
I really enjoyed this whole series and these wonderful cursed highlanders, Donna Grant has done a marvelous job in writing Ronan, Morcant, Stefan and Daman's stories and I look forward to reading more of Donna Grants series to come..
NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW: Another great story from Ms. Grant!! I am sad to see the Rogues of Scotland come to an end. But it was a fun ride. I loved seeing how each of the guys handled their imprisonment and then their release. I will say out of all of the guys I think Daman might have been my favorite. He was the one that seemed to have his head on straight from the beginning. Yet he still was doomed to the same fate as the rest. But in The Seduced we finally learn why the Gypsy's cursed them. If you have not picked up this series and are looking for a quick read you really should check them out.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Donna Grant in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.
I loved the whole series. They had a little of everything in them. Highlanders, curses, friendship, strong women who of course save the men from the curse, love. I am sorry the series is over. I just want more of the Rogues Of Scotland.
I would highly recommend the Rogues Of Scotland Series to everyone. Donna Grant is one of my favorite authors and I cannot wait until the the next book comes out on her Dark Kings Series, LaRue Series and Chiasson Series. They are all Great Series.
Ok, I had my doubts about this book! I'm no saint, but yeah, i was this close(put your thumb and index finger really close) to not read it! But then I said, mhmmm what the heck! Let's do it! And I did it! And let me tell you, ( actually write it) that to this day forth I don't regret reading him! Dear Lord! We have passion, hot sessions of love, death( this one is a sad one) and of course what couldn't miss... LOVE!!!!! For those who love a good love, romantic story, but also with the macho scene!( who doesn't like a little macho scene?! hmmm?!! ;)
A nice ending to an easy read series. I enjoyed reading the four part series as the stories of Ronan, Morcant, Stefan, and Daman were played out to an interesting conclusion. The lessons of overcoming ones own flaws and learning how they are allowed to hamper happiness and contentment in our lives makes for a good plot with varied and interesting characters.
I hate to see them come together because this set of mighty fine Highlanders have found the way to be free. They all had issues to deal with after that fateful night at the gypsy camp. Been a great storyline. This author has also other great stories to keep the blood flowing in my mind. Great reads.
perfect conclusion. The pace of events felt natural, nothing felt rushed, and though it was around the same length as the other 3, it didn't feel like it. It was a well told story, a true fairy tale.
The story of the cursed Scots continue. Donna brings you to a different time where magic and true love exists. I was captivated and can't wait to see how the story turns out. Fantastic!
What a great ending to the series. I loved how Daman was cursed and the moments between be and Innes were touching. A fabulous series by a truly talented author.
