She left town years ago to pursue her singing career. He was left heartbroken. When she returns, will they get a second chance or will her secret ruin their chances?
Madison left me with a broken heart and not even a backward glance. She was everything to me until she chose her music career over our relationship. I would’ve followed her to the moon, but she didn’t give me a choice.
Now, she’s back in our small town, but she’s nothing like the carefree girl I loved. Despite the anger I feel, I still care about her.
Something isn’t right, especially when I hear she’s abandoned her career in the music world. I’m determined to get to the bottom of it.
The truth about why she is home is even worse than I could’ve imagined, and I vow to protect her. Her secret is safe with me. She’s safe with me.
She says she’s broken, but I’ll prove to her she can heal. I only hope I don’t lose her in the process.
Homecoming Queen is an emotional romance. If you like swoony heroes, small towns, and twists and turns, then you’ll love this second chance romance.
I love everything this author writes. She tackles the tough subjects and writes a small-town world like no one else. She gives us relatable characters and situations in most of her books. However, Madison and Tate are special. They get in your heart and do not let go. Your emotions will get a workout, but for the better in the end. Will Madison and Tate get a second chance? Did their love ever fade?
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Madison left her small Texan town after high school to pursue her country music career in Nashville. But pursuing her dreams meant leaving behind her broken-hearted childhood sweetheart, Tate.
Now years later, Madison returns home after experiencing a traumatic event, needing to heal and decide what she wants to do with her life, because now she isn’t even sure if singing is her passion anymore. The one person she was nervous to see again was Tate and seeing him resurfaced all her old memories.
As it turns out, Tate’s love for Madison never faded, despite his broken heart after she left. And now that she’s returned, he wants to to pickup where they left off & get Madison the justice she deserves. But when Madison’s stay in their small town comes to an end, will they be torn apart again, just repeating history?
Homecoming Queen by Fabiola Francisco is book 2 in the Carlisle Cellars series. This was a sweet second chance meets musician romance with plenty of drama. I’m not huge on musician romances but this worked for me since it wasn’t the forefront of the story 100% of the time. I wish we had gotten some flashback chapters to Madison & Tate dating because that would’ve made me fully believe their love & why they should be together now. Them getting back together felt a little too easy & convenient. Even still, I enjoyed this romance & look forward to the final book in the series! 3.5/5 stars.
“Anger isn’t the same as not forgiving. Anger is the heart bleeding. Anger is the pain we carry for not being able to change the past. Anger is my broken pieces missing you.”
I actually am loving how this author takes their time and doesn’t rush things. It makes everything more real and genuine💗
This is a second chance romance and even though I didn’t like it as much as the last one, I really liked it. Tate was literally a dream. And Maddy was a beautiful soul.
This books deals with SA in the music industry so the tone is a bit more serious. I love how the Carlisle were involved and it was just a nice ride. I do wish we could see more of the town and friends cause these books are pretty much just the main characters, their families and the same places.
I liked how the end dragged though. And now I want to read the Everton series, heh. One thing I didn’t mentioned in my last review was the vocabulary they sometimes used (it was literally like two times), but I don’t like how last book June says “bitch” to refer to other woman, and in this the “pussy” word for being a coward. It’s a personal thing, but I just don’t like it :)
But yeah, I’m liking this author’s stories!!
“I’m tired of living for one when I’ve always wanted you as my plus one in my life.”

Homecoming Queen is book two of the Carlisle Cellars Series. This is a small town, second chance at love romance that focuses on Madison Carlisle and Tate. The plot was well thought out, realistic, and full of emotional moments. This book covers touchy subjects that could be a trigger for some.
Madison is going through a scary and emotional time in her life. She's lost and is trying to rediscover herself. She's under a lot of stress and pressure. She has a lot of regrets and is going down a rabbit hole of negativity. Luckily she has a family, friends, and town that care a great deal about her and are there to help bring back the Madison they know and love.
Tate is angry, bitter, and resentful when it comes to Madison. But he's a natural protector and old habits die hard. He can't help himself when butting into Madison's problems, he wants to support her in any way possible. He's a good guy; caring, loving, strong, smart, and loyal. He's also persistent and won't give up on Madison a second time.
As soon as i reached the end of Not So Charming I instantly started looking forward to this second installment! I picked this one up as soon as i could and got right back into the Carlisle Cellars world! It pulled me in quickly. I really enjoyed this second book!
Madison and Tate's journey isn't an easy one. I really liked how these two had a history and that they're brought back into each other's lives. I wasn't sure how everything was going to play out and I enjoyed getting to see these characters tackle things in their lives. I loved how i went through so many emotions throughout reading with these characters as well!
With Homecoming Queen, Ms.Francisco has created a great read that'll pull you in and make you feel so much! I can't wait for more of the Carlisle Cellars world in book three, Small Town King!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
We know that Madison had a secret that she needed her family's support to get through, but we also get Madison's second chance with her first love with the return. I can't wait for the third book in this series!! Fabiola has tackled some of these hard topics in her other books. They destroyed me; however, in Homecoming Queen, Fabiola gives a story of trauma, healing, love, and support that I absolutely loved.

Madison & Tate - high school sweethearts. Young love. Then it ended badly when she went off to Nashville to follow her dream and became Rose Carlisle, country music superstar.
She returns home with a secret that could possibly end her career and she is an emotional wreck. It appears at first that Tate still hates her for leaving. Then tension between them is heavy. Both their hearts were broken when she left and neither has mended and they haven't moved on.
The pull between them is strong. But is there too much hurt in the past for them to move forward and let things go?
This book had a lot of feels, which drew me in. I found myself hoping they would end up back together. Did they? You'll have to read to find out!
Homecoming Queen is the second title in the Carlisle Cellars series but can easily be read as a standalone. I haven’t personally read the previous title and didn’t feel lost at any time, whilst reading this small town, second chance romance. Madison left not only her home, but childhood sweetheart when she set of to Nashville, to find fame as a country music star. Although she has found success, she’s discovered that it comes at a price. Tate is Madison’s childhood sweetheart, and he loves his small town and followed his dreams to protect and serve as a firefighter. He’s a kind, caring, supportive and compassionate hero. This pair are realistic, and their chemistry is undeniable, despite the hurt and years they spent apart. An engaging story of family, friendship, regrets, hope, healing, forgiveness and second chances. I look forward to the next addition to this series.
This was one emotional rollercoaster of a read but I hung on until the end because I just loved Madison and Tate. As far as second chances go, they really had to work on it but I could feel their chemistry and love, even after all that time. The story pulled at my heartstrings and had me crying, laughing to smiling like a fool in the end.
Madison and Tate’s story one a singer and one a firefighter this was an emotional roller coaster that I was invested in from the start and loved this Second chance romance. The chemistry that they have even after years apart was great. I love this authors work, she has a knack for making me cry and I love it.
This second chance romance by Fabiola played with my emotions. Madison and Tate’s story hit me so hard in my feels. Tate is the ultimate book boyfriend. He is so loving, loyal and has a heart of gold. I swooned so hard for him. Madison and Tate have an amazing journey that I couldn’t get enough of. This series is a must read!
A hard subject to handle - the abuse of power - that Fabiola Francisco brings to life with emotion, love and comfort. Madison left Tate to become a rising country singer, but with fame has come destruction that finds Madison returning home to lick her wounds and find inner strength. Can Tate forgive her for walking away? And will he be the source of the determination she needs to overcome the obstacles in front of her? From the opening pages to the very last one this book pulled on my heart strings and had my emotions running high. This duo will become a favorite in the series and the reader will not be disappointed.
Coming home to hide or feel safe is never a thing anyone can predict yet it is always the first place we turn when we need people who we trust and love to surround us in times of trouble. Madison comes home from her famous career as a country singer, under the guise of wanting to be there for her family after their traumatic fire incident she does want that, but she has a secret of her own and needs a safe place. She is full of pain, anger, betrayal, and so much loneliness her family is the only place she feels she can turn to, but after a few run ins with the guy she left behind, her pain becomes even more, and the loneliness intensifies. She has many regrets but never the one of chasing her dream but now her dream seems like it is tainted with heartache and heartbreak. Tate has never really gotten over Maddy and even if he tries nothing compares to what they had or could have had together, so when he sees her years after things fell apart, he first reaction is anger, then betrayal that’s leads him to realize he never got over her and doesn’t think he ever will. When secrets start to come into the light Madison leans on her family’s support to help her through, but when Tate finally finds out their love never stopped but is he only wanting to help out of pity, closure, or can they find a way back to what they had? When things start to get heated up between Tate and Madison, her career is also getting heated but not in the positive way. Can Tate stand by her side and help support her when things begin to get rough, or has too much time passed, and the anger festered? Tate and Madison have always been meant for each other and they always will, but they both must learn to forgive and move forward. This book deals with a subject that is sadly happening all the time and sometimes some people’s voices are never heard even when they deserve to be and this book handles the situation beautifully and delicately. Madison never deserved to feel scared, hurt, or afraid and I was proud of her when she decided to stand her ground let those that love her standby her and guide her. I also loved how Tate was with her after he learned the truth and it made me fall in love with him so much (don’t tell Harris). With every character that this author creates I immediately fall in love with each of them, the women who are strong but know when to allow help to the men who are beautiful, strong, protective and I think it is a beautiful thing when an author can create so many that readers automatically love and want to be a part of. In a world full of ugly there is always beauty, Madison found hers and I found mine in her strength and Tate’s love. Random thoughts on the delicate subject that was handled beautifully in this book that I took away: Someone should never be afraid to chase their dreams, never afraid to stand their ground for what they believe in or love, never afraid to speak up, never tore down for things not their fault, never afraid to be true to themselves ever. They should always feel loved, safe, precious. They should have a person or family that they trust and love to be their support, always have a place that is their safe, always treated with compassion and understanding.
Fabiola Francisco captured my attention while I wandered through Everton. I still want to live there! Now, Mason Creek is in my sights too! Madison and Tate, Miles and June.. the rest of the family. Meeting them all and learning about their lives and struggles is great reading.
Madison left her hometown at 18 to make her name in country music. She also left behind the person she loves, and Tate is still angry. Her life seems exciting and full. When she comes home to visit after the fire at the winery, they quickly realize that all is not well. When she finally confides in her mom, they all rally around her to support her in her choices. All she ants is out. Of her contract with the record label, and away from the one who hurt her.
Tate was heart-broken when Madison left him, left what they had behind and, it seemed, never looked back. Seeing her again brings back everything. He avoids her at first, but decides to confront the situation and her, hoping to get past it. After their “talk”, he begins to realize something isn’t quite right. He continues to see her and talk to her, and they grow closer. When he finds out why she’s home, he wants to support her. And he does.
This story line feels true to life. Madison represents young women with a dream who end up being taken advantage of by the music industry. It’s a story we’ve heard before, and I’m sure we don’t hear every one. Fabiola Francisco dealt with the issue in a way I can fully support! Madison receives the support she needs to stand up for herself and fight back. It’s well written and there are parts that may make you cheer! Thank you for tackling this and handling it so well. I love Mason Creek almost as much as Everton. The more I meet the people and learn a about the town, the more it grows on me. I can’t wait for the next book.
When she left her smalltown and her highschool sweetheart behind to head to Nashville, Madison had dreams of making it big in the country music industry. And, while she is a success, she has also learned first hand in a devastating way, that the industry is not all it is cracked up to be. Now, Madison is back in Willow Creek and about to take on the fight of her career. Can she also make amends with the man she left heartbroken all those years ago?
Tate thought Madison would be his everything, but she left him behind feeling confused and heartbroken over why she never even asked him to follow her. Stuck in a rut, he now questions why she is back to cause him more distress every time he runs into her in their small town. But, Tate quickly realizes something isn’t right with her. Can he forgive and forget the past to help Madison in their present? And, is he willing to take another leap at what feels like should have happened all those years ago?
Madison and Tate ended up being an exceptionally sweet couple, although there were definitely some growing pains when Maddy first arrived back in town. I loved that even though she felt broken, Maddy was a survivor and wasn’t willing to let things go, but to fight for herself and anyone who had ever been in her situation. Even more, I loved how her family and Tate rallied around her. Tate was an amazing and supporting partner for Maddy. I loved that he had his own demons to deal with regarding his past hurts, yet never wavered in his love for her.
I thought the author did an amazing job handling a very sensitive topic and it really made for lots of angst and emotions as this couple reconnected. This truly was a lovely second chance romance for Tate and Maddy and I enjoyed every page. 4 stars.
Homecoming Queen (Carlisle Cellars #2) by Fabiola Francisco. Rose Carlisle is a big time country singer but when she comes home she is Madison Rose Carlisle aka Maddy. She gave up the love of her life Tate to become Rose, leaving him and the life they were supposed to have had. Madison is back in Willow Creek. She says she is there to check on everyone after the fire at the winery but the truth is she is running from Nashville and her life as Rose. If you haven't read book 1 which is Mason's story(twin brother)please do. Not only is it a good story but gives you background information and perspective. Madison loves being home with family and those that love her but it is getting harder and harder to keep the secret as to why she is home. And to make matters worse she keeps running into Tate and he knows something isn't right with her. The feelings the two had for each other never went anywhere. Enjoyed this story. The reason for her being home was interesting and a good read. Than to read about her reconnection with Tate was a journey well worth taking. For me the cherry on the top was the insertion of characters from a previous series written by this author. If you get a chance and want to read the series, it is Love in Everton. There is something about a small town love that permeates in the books that I really enjoy. The more I read this author's books the more I like this author. A 4 star read for me. Looking forward to the last Carlisle siblings book. Brett has a story I want to know and I am already smitten by his children.
“The girl in that picture feels like she’s lightyears away, lost somewhere in a hidden galaxy. And the boy standing beside her… He’s a ghost that’s haunted her since she walked away.”
Coming home should be a time to reconnect with family and friends and make new memories. But when Madison has to come home to get away from something she never imagined would happen to her, her past and her present go to war. Seeing her ex does nothing but make her feel all the what-ifs and should-have-beens, but it also makes Madison reevaluate what she really wants and needs in her life. When Tate hears that his ex is back, he wants to be harsh and act like he’s over her and has moved on. But seeing Madison broken down brings out Tate’s protective side, and he’ll stop at nothing until Madison is safe.
“I would’ve protected her and taken care of her until my last breath. I guess some habits are hard to break.”
Who doesn’t love a second chance love story. Fabiola brings us such a heartwarming tale with Homecoming Queen. It is filled with so much love, it is like getting a warm hug as you read. Meeting up with Madison’s family feels like coming home, and reading Madison and Tate’s story, is like having ice cream with a cherry on top! Please read Not So Charming first, as you will get an introduction to a lot of the characters in Homecoming Queen.
“We have the rest of our lives to fulfill every dream we’ve had, and I’m going to spend every waking moment cherishing her. “
Homecoming Queen by Fabiola Francisco is the second book of the Carlisle Cellars Series and IT WAS PHENOMENAL! OMG! I really didn't see it coming! Well it's the woooonderful second chance love story of Madison and Tate. Madison left Willow Creek after high-school to live her dream as a singer... but now she needs an escape from all the hustle and bustle and comes back home. Tate is the ex-boyfriend she left behind... and he never forgot about her. Now that both are back in the same town can they deal with their past? OMG! YOU REALLY SHOULD READ THIS BOOK! W-O-W! ABSOLUTELY WOW! Well I thought this book would be another brilliant small town romance with so many swoon-worthy moments... BUT OMG IT WAS SOOOO DAMN EMOTIONAL! I didn't expect to CRY THAT MUCH! OMG! All the stuff that happens! I don't wanna spoil anyone so I'm gonna stay quiet! This book was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I DEVOURED IT and at the same time I tried to read as slow as possible, so I could postpone the end of this beautiful book! 😍 I absolutely love Madison and Tate! Second chances can be sooooo wonderful! OMG and who wouldn't wanna try it again with a hot firefighter?! LOL Homecoming Queen was sooooo full of emotions: good ones, bad ones, hot ones, funny ones and dramatic ones. I LOVE IT! ❤
Fabiola touches on a delicate subject in this book. Why do people in power feel they have the right to abuse those that work under them? Madison Rose Carlisle returns home after becoming a star in Nashville. Her beautiful voice is widely recognized and she should be living the dream. But instead she comes home with her tail between her legs because of the degrading treatment by one of the producers.
Madison left Tate Carrington when she ran off to Nashville to follow her dreams. She broke his heart and her own, too. No one could ever compete with him, she compared every man to Tate and they were found wanting. So when she comes home to sort through her trauma, she finds herself radiating toward Tate. These two deserve a second chance like no other. Tate is strong and tough, but he can't help but want to let himself try again with the woman he has always loved.
This book will pull at your heart strings, and want to make you go all Mama Bear for Madison and take down the jerks at the recording label. Watch these two get back to their roots and decide if young, puppy love can stand the test of time. This is a show you don't want to miss!
Madison & Tate were together when she left town to pursue her dreams of singing, breaking both of their hearts in the process. He's stayed bitter about it, especially since her life these days looks like a dream, but looks can be deceiving. Madison comes home after the fire, and it's not long before she runs into Tate, who is still mad, but it doesn't take him long to see there's something going on with her, and he's going to find out what it is. It's a story that we hear all the time in real life, and boy did this brilliant author portray it realistically & emotionally. These two had a strong connection, and even now, though it's thin, that connection is still there, and hopefully, Tate will be the one to have her back when she has to face what she ran from. Not to mention, there may or may not be a second chance in the making, since the heart wants what the heart wants. There's everything from angst for days to twists, small towns that give that realistic feel with a kicker of an amazing supporting cast so you don't want to miss out on Homecoming Queen! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wow! What a book! This when hit all the feels for multiple reasons. A second chance romance that hits on some very real situations that can happen in our world these days.
Madison left Willow Creek to pursue her dream of becoming a country singer. She made it but it cost her...A LOT. Mainly, Tate, her high school sweetheart. Now, she's back in Willow Creek dealing with an overload of emotions and a situation that should have never happened. Being back though makes her wonder if she made the wrong decision the first time.
Tate never left Willow Creek but his heart went with Madison when she left. He acheived his dream of becoming a firefighter but the last thing he thinks he wants is for the girl he still loves to show back up in town. The thing is she's different than who she used be and different from what he sees on in the media which makes him question if his Madison still exists?
These two have to be one of my favorite fictional couples. They never let go of on another even when things seemed stacked against them.
What an emotional read this turned out to be. My heart was breaking for Madison. She was barely keeping it together when she returned to her hometown. The glamorous life everyone thought she was living turned out to be more than what she bargains for. Seeing her high school sweetheart she left behind does not help her problems.
Tate has so many mixed feelings for Madison. He swore he was over her but the minute he sees her the old feelings reappear and he can't help himself but wanting to help her. He was the bright light in her life when all she saw was darkness. I absolutely loved them together and when the bad guy was finally put away and they could reach for HEA I was over the moon for them.
Second chance trope is my favorite and this was one of the best I've read in the last months.

Homecoming Queen is about second chance love. Madison left her hometown and the love of her life to pursue her dream of becoming a country singer. Only years later she realized that maybe it wasn’t worth what she gave up. Family, friends, the love of her life. After a incident that left her shaken and the fire at her family’s vineyard, Madison knew it was time to come home and take a break from the spotlight. Only she wasn’t ready for what home had in store for her.
I will admit I like this author. I just can’t put it down but with this said I will say the constant self doubt from Madison did cause a few eye rolls. It was like she was asking for Tate to change his mind and walk away. Madison deserved a HEA after what she went through. Book 1 is a must read before reading this book to understand what is going on. Honestly I am looking forward to book 3. If anyone needed a HEA of the siblings it would be Brett. He has been they soo much. I can’t wait for his story.
Homecoming Queen is the best kind of small town, second chance romance read. I was head over kindle while reading Madison and Tate’s love story. High school sweethearts with a bright future until she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a country singer and left their small town for a chance at stardom; while Tate remained and became a firefighter. Life happens and when they are brought back together, the spark between them has not diminished. If anything, anger has brought it to a whole new level. My heart went out to Madison and the turn her life took while I crushed hard on sexy Tate. He is the real deal and has earned a place on my Favorite Book Boyfriend list. He is all that with a cherry on top. Homecoming Queen was a treat to read, I’m giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
Madison has made a name for herself in county music. Unfortunately she finds herself in a uncomfortable position and needs a break to decide how to handle the situation. With her families love and support she will make the right decisions. Tate was the boyfriend left behind when Madison left many years ago to find fame. Tate is now a dedicated fireman will he be happy to see Madison? How supportive will he be to her in her time of need? It’s was so fun to be back in Willow Creek and checking up on the winery. This over protective loving family is definitely growing on me. This was a great quick read. The emotional topic that was covered was tastefully well written and handled gracefully. Fabiola is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
Madison left her hometown and the man she loved to follow her dreams of becoming a country music singer, but her success has come with a price. She is hoping that a trip home surrounded by those she loves will give her the time and distance she needs to make some much needed changes in her life.
Tate was devastated when Madison chose her career over him, and now that she is back, he isn’t about to just forgive and forget. He soon realizes that the feelings he has for her are stronger than ever so when he finds out the secrets she has been keeping he proves himself to be the man she has always needed in her life.
After what Madison has endured it changed her but with the strength and support of Tate she reclaimed the woman she was meant to be and if anyone deserves a second chance it is this couple.
A wonderful story of having support from family and friends. Who know you the best in times of trouble. Madison has been living the life of part of her dreams as a country star. Yet not everything is cracked up to be. She left behind her family, friends and the man of her dreams to become this shining star. She is now lose and has been abuse in this industry. Only option is go home and find herself again. While at home she finds the strength to tell the truth to everyone. Including her long lost love Tate. They were everything to each other. Coming home and facing each other they rediscover their love never died. Their love has grow up as they have. Read their love story of how they fight for her future and their future. Following more than one dream at a time. Letting people that love in, making the world better.
Homecoming Queen is book two of the Carlisle Cellars series. It can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read book one because this author is the queen of small-town romance.
Madison is a country sweetheart in America’s eyes. Her music is skyrocketing, and her career is more than she expected. She left her small town to pursue the dream she now lives, so when the unimaginable happens to her, she wants out. Tate was left behind all those years ago. His decision was made for him without his knowledge. Now Madison is back with his heart and knows she does not deserve him.
These two captured my heart and their love never faded. Madison is facing an uphill battle to get her life back, but Tate will be there to support and protect her. Hard topic but very necessary. I adored this couple!!!
