Becoming His Mate . . .
I absolutely loved this story about Jase and Nikki and the chance they got to be together. The added attraction of the “mad scientist” gave us even more excitement to make sure the reader was fully involved in the tale. So many things were going on here.
Nikki Robinson had been Jase Saunders’ teacher and was the only one who looked past the “bad boy” persona and made the effort to reach the young man and turn his life around. He never forgot her kindness. She was married at the time, and older than he was, of course. But when she became single, Fate worked its magic. The mysterious Mr. X broke into Nikki’s house and injected her with something that activates a latent shifter gene in those who carry it and it puts her into Regeneration. This means that her body will regenerate back to a younger, fitter version of herself. Mr. X has plans on using her blood for some sort of ritual. But she escapes from him and runs out into the street, right into Jase's arms! Will Jase explain to her about mates and the fact that she is his? Will he be able to protect her from Mr. X?

Been waiting so long for this installment of Cougerville, and I was so excited to see my pre-order dropped to my Kindle.
Jase has always been in love/lust for his English teacher Mrs. Robinson (yes really and there's even a few jokes about it) and his Wolf is thrilled to find out that she's a Juvie* in need of his help. This book wraps up the mystery of Mr.X left hanging at the end of book 3, and seems to set up at least two future books.
Evangeline, if you are reading this: yes, please allow Derek to tell his story, and while you're at it, see if Striker would like to pair up with an herbivore and a three nature Juvie?
*You really need to start at book 1 "Buck Wild" to understand Juvie

I've missed this series and so glad the author came up with another brilliant tale of these shifters.
This is a place where middle aged women start rejuvenating, going back over 2 decades to a time when their bodies were firm and wrinkle free. Only if they carried the shifter gene though.
There is a serial killer on the loose, the cops are convinced it's an animal but the shifters know better.
Nikki is a teacher, 'something' breaks into her home, attacking her and injecting her with something, before anything more happens her large dog comes to the rescue and she runs. The local cop is a former student and shifter, nothing of this world Nikki is aware of. Changes are happening to her and he is the only one who can tell the truth and help her through it. His school boy fantasies could be brought to life here. Such sizzling chemistry here and a race for survival for them both. An action packed paranormal romance, I loved it.

I'm not quite at the age yet where the idea of de-aging twenty years sounds like hitting the jackpot, but it is coming up fast! Keeping the maturity and wisdom that you only get from life experience all while having the younger body can't be called anything other than a win. Can you imagine not hearing the sound of bubble wrap coming out of all your joints when you get out of bed??? Sign me up.

I love Evangeline Anderson’s series in Cougarville, a magical place where ladies in their forties and fifties suddenly change into their physical form of 20-30 years before. Gone are the gray hairs, the beginning wrinkles, and the sags of middle age. Each is returned to her youthful appearance. These ladies who are now alone because of divorce or death of their spouses find themselves pursued by handsome young shapeshifters. Ms. Anderson’s newest book, Big Bad Wolf, didn’t disappoint me. As soon as I discovered these characters lived near Cougarville, I realized this one was a long-awaited story in the series. The hero and heroine are presented as strong characters, acting in a world where such things can and do happen. Once her student, Jase Saunders now becomes the teacher to Nikki Robinson, the only teacher who respected him as a person.
Ms. Anderson writes about this location and its characters so that it is hard not to fall in love with the town and residents. She does include the angst and heat she is known for, giving us a story I couldn’t get enough of. I have all the books in the series: Buck Naked, Cougar Bait, Stone Cold Fox, and now Big Bad Wolf. I enjoyed this trip back so much that I have decided to read the entire series again. And hope for more!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Loved this series since I read the first one and this book doesn't disappoint. Nikki was feeling sad on the anniversary of her husband's death when her world changes. Mr. X attacks and injects her which triggers her rejuvenation Nikki manages to escape with the help of her dog into the arms of Jase. Jase helps her understand what is happening to her and also protects her. Unfortunately false reports of the death of Mr. X cause them to separate and Nikki is kidnapped. Just in the nick of time Jase rescues and breeds Nikki. I really like how Lady Moon grants them both their greatest wish along with providing a strong mating and love between Jase and Nikki. I really hope their is more to this series.

After a long wait, we finally have the next book in this series! So excited and it was worth the wait. Jase and Nikki have a hurdle to get past given their past history, but it is wonderful when they finally except fate and trust their feelings. They also have to contend with the elusive Mr X and his vicious plan to catch his own Juvie. Mystery, magic, love and fate all rolled into one. I was truely pleased when i picked up this arc. This author is truely fantastic in my opinion. Her shifter stories will always capture one attention ending with one beautiful HEA.
This story is the fourth book in cougarville, each one is a stand alone but its always good to know what happens next.
In this story, Nikki has been married and cant have any children, however there have been women around the same age as her been murdered recently. And she is the next target for Dr X. A man who truely wants to be a shifter and is getting so close to what he wants. It seems that Nikki has the perfect Gen.
Dectective Jase Saunders has alway loved Nikki even when she taught him at school, but now he has got his chance, lady moon has given him a gift.
This really is a must read, i loved that a women betwween 30s and 40s has got a second chance no matter how it comes about. Definately a five star plus

This was a fab read that, although it's the first one of the series I've read, I could follow along nicely and really get invested in the characters. There's action, danger, full of feelings and sizzling chemistry. I loved their connection and was stoked to see them working their way to an HEA. It was a fun story - and now I have to go back and check out the other books to the series ;)

The author did a fantastic job with the characters in this book and the emotional angst their unique situation brought upon them. She brought a brand new experience to this wonderful series, and I enjoyed each high and low as these two work towards their HEA. This book was an amazing read, and I am really looking forward to the next time the author drops me off in Cougarville.

In this story, we return to Cougarville and the story of Nikki, a middle aged high school teacher and her former student now police officer, Jase, a dire wold Alpha. There is lots of action both romantic and suspenseful and a truly lovely HEA. The reader also “catches up with” characters from the previous stories which is something I always enjoy in a book.

Another great addition to the series! The author brings strong characters in Nikki and Jace ,gives them a hot and steamy chemistry and an intriguing story line. She pulled me in with all the action and suspense and had me glued to the pages with all the emotions along the way. It's well written with vividly painted scenes and is a fantastic read. Loved and recommend.

I was super excited when I hear their was going to be another Cougarville book. It's had been a while since we last visited this unique shifter series. Let me tell you that it was so worth the wait. I absolutely enjoyed the adventure that Jase and Nikki took us on. With all the add it intrigue, action, suspense, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end making it a helluva read. Looking forward to more books in this series. I’m so glad for a new Cougarville story and this one does not disappoint. From the title you know we are going to be reading about wolves. But these shifters are no where like the wild ones. The story is a second chance romance for both the main chubby it different ways. I love the romance and the bad guy definitely brings on the crazy. Expect some pretty hot scenes as male shifters love to take care of their women.

I was so excited when I saw this book. It has been a while since there was a new entry in this unique shifter series and I could not wait to jump in. I just loved Nikki and Jase's romance. The hit the bulls eye combination of genuineness and fantasy makes for a story that you can truly connect with but it also lets escape your own reality for a while. It's hot and emotional. It's sweet and sexy. It's fun and suspenseful. It's just a really awesome read that provides you with major does of swoon and feels. I'm electing to post a objective review of my own accord.

OMG!! Wow was this book steamy, super sexy and romantic! Jace is such a good alpha wolf .. where can I find one of these?! :) He is protective, loyal, caring... Nicole is going through a tough time on the anniversary of her husbands death and gets attacked and fate brings her back to her mate that she needs in her life... I loved that Nicole is an older woman (cougar) and she gets to feel real love, feel sexy and grows more into who she wants to be and gets her HEA! I highly recommend this and ANY of Evangeline Anderson books!!

Nikki was Jase’s teacher so supported him during high school because he was going through a ruff time at home.
She felt violated in her home because of what Mr. X is trying to do to her but because of her dog Max she managed to run out into the street and into Jase.
Wow, so phenomenal and the changes that she has to go through because of the injection that she received.
The two of them are meant to be together.
Story was so intense.

This book was soooo good I read it in one sitting. I already loved the previous books in this series and was so excited for this new book. I really loved Jace and Nikki's story. It was really great to see the impact she had on him as a teacher and helped him change his life around. It was very interesting the teacher fantasies lol. Love them as a couple and how patient, sweet, and passionate Jace is. I love Max so much and how Jace could hear his thoughts so clearly. I cannot wait for Shoals book!!!

This episode of the Cougarville series, Book 4 Big Bad Wolf, was good but had the potential for greatness. The author needed to amp up the action and provide more interaction with the bad guys, shifter community and the plot threat. Most of the action is at the last quarter of the book. Most of the story was relationship building. I wanted more conflict, action and struggling characters.
To me it seemed as the female lead, Nikki Robinson, got repetitive with reminding us every chapter that she would never do anything “inappropriate” with her past student, Jase Saunders, alpha wolf shifter and potential mate. ( I believed her the first time, get over it and move on). Nikki, continually repeated how she based her actions and emotions on what others may think was “inappropriate”. It got annoying. Nikki acted like she had no mind of her own. (Girl live a little, do what you want despite what others think).
I chose to listen to the audiobook. It was done with dual narration by Kingsley Rose and Scott Rose.
I just couldn’t get into the character with the female narrator, Kingsley Rose. She had a whisper, hushed voice that sounded like someone trying to talk sexy all the time. (Fingernails on the chalk board). So I really recommend reading the book. I wish I had, I feel it would have been a better experience.
Overall, I enjoyed this series. If Evangeline Anderson were to write more about Cougarville, I would definitely follow up with this shifter community. It is a Good series; nothing earth moving but a solid good read. What can I say, “shifters are my jam”.

What a wonderful surprise that Evangeline Anderson brought us back to her great series “Cougarville”, where women with the right dormant gene can become rejuvenated. How much do we all dream about being made 15-20 years younger!
This book centers on a high school teacher, Nikki, who goes way beyond her teaching duties and helps her students personally as well. Years ago she helped Jase Saunders,get set on the right path basically saving his life. Jase, an alpha male who has never forgotten what Nikki has done for him nor the major crush he had on her.
Nicki gets attacked in her home by a “skin walker” who is trying to become a shifter. He is nexts her with a potion to bring on Nikki’s rejeuvination and she finds herself looking and feeling twenty years younger . Unfortunately he dangerous Mr.X plans on using her to become a shifter in a crazy ceremony that will require killing her.
Jase comes to her rescue while at the same time renewing his feelings for her. Besides being scared for her life , dealing with becoming twenty years younger (I’d gladly deal with that for her),Nikki now also has to decide to accept Jace’s feelings for her.
This is an exciting, emotional page turner story with suspense, the authors wonderful brand of “heat” between the main characters, great secondary characters and an awesome return to the world of Cougarville.

Jase has had a thing for Nikki since high school. He made sure she didn’t end up in prison. She was a great teacher but she was 15 years his senior and married. Time moved forward and Nikki is alone. Her husband passed due to cancer and she is working to move on. When she is attacked and given an injection that changes her, she is no longer feeling old. She feels as young and fit as she was in her twenties. Jase isn’t about to let her get away but he also has to find out who injected her. He is going to protect what is his.
I do love this series. Yes it has been a while but who doesn't want to be young again. Hell you could give that to me and I would be happy. A sexy bad boy like Jase and a shifter, yes please. Jase has turned bad boy to Detective and has a major issue on his hands. Someone is killing women between 40-50 yrs old. He has a good idea who it may be. He helped one of the packs last time, skin walker Mr. X. Jase finding Nikki in need of help and then old feelings coming back in full force is hot. His wet dreams are killer. While I have not read the other books in this series, I will say it didn't distract too much from the story. Do I think it would have helped? Yes, but honestly the story was still really great. Poor Nikki goes through A LOT in this one. She is still mourning her husband after seven years and on the anniversary of his death decides to drink some wine and take a bath. Unfortunately for her, that night she is attacked by Mr. X who shoots her up with something that triggered her rejuvenation. Jase is a local detective who had Nikki as a teacher in high school. He is a shifter and fully aware of Mr. X and his attacking women of a certain age. After Nikki is attacked, she literally runs into Jase and our story really begins.
I really liked the twist and turns of this one. Due to the rejuvenation, Nikki basically goes through heats and needs Jase's touch to feel better. I really liked the twist and turns of this one. Due to the rejuvenation, Nikki basically goes through heats and needs Jase's touch to feel better. That leads to plenty of steamy scenes between these two. Nikki has so much emotional baggage to work through about these feelings to a former student and their age difference. 3.5 stars - A enjoyable read
This was an enjoyable read and I was glad to see the author return to this series. Unfortunately, this book is come out proximately four years after the other three books in the series came out which made it a little more difficult to remember the backstory. I think it would be rather difficult for new readers who have not read the other three books in this series to fully understand the overarching focus of the series because they do not have that background information. In my opinion, it would have been much better had the author spent a little bit of time to give the reader a bit more of background or a catch-up so to speak of the story so they may not be quite so lost. But other than that, I really enjoyed revisiting this series. I understand that the author has another series that she has been working very much over the last couple of years, but because this one was so late in coming out it did reflect on my personal enjoyment of the story because I did not have enough time to go back and re-read the 3 other books before starting this one.

Big Bad Wolf by author Evangeline Anderson is the fourth book in the Cougarville series. This is the first time I have read this series and I was not lost starting here.
Jase when he was in high school he was the bad boy. There was only one teacher who treated him nice she understood him. He wants to claim her for his mate but he is too young.
15 years later: Nikki has lost her husband. She is middle-aged. She is sleeping someone breaks into her house and injects her with a latent shifter gene.
Nikki now needs Jase to help her. The feeling Jase has had for her never went away. Jase must protect her from Mr. X. He wants Nikki for a blood ritual. Nikki is scared, not sure she should be attracted to Jase but he brings out emotions in her she forgot about.
This story is a really great story. I loved it. I want to go back and read the stories I missed. I would love to read more in the future.

Nikki was attacked by this evil skin walker, Mr. X, and was injected with a serum that will make her rejuvenate into a younger version of herself.. Having been saved from Mr. X by her beloved dog Max, Nikki is now being protected by one of her former students, Jase , who is a wolf Alpha and the police officer who is investigating the attacks on all these women. Jase has always had a crush on Nikki, since he was a high school student in her AP English class, so he is looking forward to spending time with her. Now their relationship is becoming extremely awkward due to this rejuvenation injection and it's side effects. Exciting and written very well.

I enjoyed reading 📚 this book. I liked the idea of police men characters in books and wanted to learn more. I can't wait to read more books 📚 by Evangeline Anderson. I need to read the other 3 books to understand some bits the story that was confused about maybe.😀. I liked the idea that the police men could have young lady friends and old lady friends. I have some books of my dad's with older policemen by lady who later on creative her books 📚 into films. I liked the of and wanted to learn more and write my own books 📚 about warriors and police men and police ladies and animals shifters too.

I love the hero, like most of Evangeline’s heroes he is sweet, loving, hot and hung.
And in this series the heroine’s are all in their 40’s. I love that too.
However….this series is starting to get predictable…. I skipped a few chapters towards the end.
Also this one definitely had that Kindred feel. Honey oozing from her naughty bits… sound familiar?
The whole part where she needs “help” but wants to keep her panties on so he helps her push the line to ridiculous lengths.
And some of the dialogue… the heroine’s hesitant “o…okay…”
All kindred like.
But I love the kindred and I love the Cougarville shifters so, I WILL be on the look out for the next Cougarville romance.

I have really enjoyed this series, and this book is another great addition. To be honest, when I first read the bio I was unsure about the age gap, especially with Jase previously being Nikki's student. However, with the dynamics of the magic and Nikki being able to regenerate, this quickly changed my mind and it became obvious that age does not matter and where chemistry is involved, and two people are destined to be together there is nothing that can stop it.
Bring on the next book ....

I loved this older woman/younger male story! Jase and Nikki’s story is so hot! The suspense of what will happen to Nikki with Mr X kept me turning the pages well into the night! I can’t wait to go back and read more of the Cougarville series now that I have found it!
