Rate this book
*A spin-off novel from The O'Brien world
Dr. Antonio Rinalto has lived abroad in Brazil for over a decade. A promising young surgeon serving as a missionary. But there are other reasons he left his Tuscan home. Among the vines of Viti del Fiume, family secrets linger. Ten years later, Antonio is called home to Italy, where he will learn the power of forgiveness and the importance of family.

Sophie Bellamy is searching for a way out of England. As a graduating viticulturist, interning at a vineyard in Tuscany seems like the perfect escape. But old ghosts have a way of tracking their prey. Can she rely on the shelter of Viti del Fiume and the Rinalto family to shield her from her past?

Nice listen. Good characters and plot if a bit predictable. Love the imagery of Italy and took me back to my own experiences in Florence.

Stacey Reynolds never fails to disappoint! We met Antonio in Brazil, and ever since then I’ve wanted more of him. While he’s not an O’Brien, this book involves one of their greatest friends and allies and it gives us a love story for the ages.

First off, it’s set in TUSCANY. Tuscany. Stacey paints such a vivid picture of the area and his family’s vineyard. It made me desperately want to BE there.

Second, this books has such rich characters, a hallmark of a Reynolds novel. Their emotional depth, and watching as they blossom on the page makes this book hard to put down.

I highly recommend this story, but if you haven’t read the earlier books in this series, do that first. ESPECIALLY River Angel. You’ll be glad you did!

Antonio’s story

If you read River Angels and Wishing Bridge, you know about Antonio, a beautiful soul. This book is his story, about what happened to him, his family and his love life. Without spoilers, I will just say Stacey again gives a wonderful tale with drama, love, laughter and family dynamics just as gratifying as all her O’Brien books. As an aside, if you are knowledgeable about Italy and wine, you will enjoy this even more than I have since I have no idea about wine. But I can learn!

What a refreshing novel, a lovely break away from the O’Brien family but not their tails altogether. If you read the other O’Brien books then you are aware of who Antonio is. In this story,, you are transported to Tuscany, into a world of wine, vineyards, family and loyalty! Stacey Reynolds never fails to write you straight into her books!

BRAVO!

This author has done it….again! Captured my imagination and my heart! I was hoping Antonio would get his own time in the sun after meeting him in the O’Brien series! Now I’m hungry for old world Italian food, thirsty for a Reserve Chianti, and excited to see what comes next from Stacey Reynolds. Bravo!!!

Yummy

One of the best in the series. I loved that the story primarily takes place in both Italy and and Brazil. The author weaves romance with the suspense of a crime novel perfectly. The author has done her research. You will learn about winemaking from the grapes of Italy to the native plants of Brazil. A+

Antonio's story
Great romance, family dynamics , mystery combined. If you have read Stacey's O'Brien books River Angels and Wishing Bridge, you will know about Antonio, that sweet ,sexy doctor . His story unfolds in this book and again Stacey writes a wonderful story.

Amazing!!

We fell in love with Antonio before in the O’Brien Tales and the author gave us another family to fall in love with! Every part of this book pulled me in and didn’t let go until the end. I can’t wait to see if there is another in this series!

Wonderful

Absolutely beautiful story of three kinds of love. Love of family, romantic love and love of a place. I felt like I could taste the wine and smell the herbs and soil of Tuscany.

As usual she has written a good book. A little slow at first but it blooms as you go. I read it in 1 day.

a finish to the O’Brien Tales

A little slower start in the beginning from her usual, but I’m glad I read it through to the end.

Too much drama, too sappy, too many words. Disappointed that I spent this much time instead of just putting it down.
