Brandon hasn’t been fit for human society since a bear attacked him at his bachelor party and left him with his own internal beast. He’s certainly not fit to be around Ana. Seeing her makes him realize how much he has missed her, though.

Book 5 – Triumph Over Fate
Kai wants to see Bearclaw Castle razed, but he can’t destroy the place with his sister inside.
Not that Kai is ready to forgive Mimi for leaving him alone to deal with their father, but he does still love her. He figures he should at least tell her the old man has died. While he’s still off balance from his sister’s betrayal, she comes in.
Since her husband left her, Stormi Blackford has sworn off men, but Kai Fisher is tempting. She can’t remember the last time anyone looked at her with that kind of desire. Kai is just the right mix of protective and supportive. She’s beginning to wonder why Mimi thinks her brother is such a beast.
Maybe it’s the influence of the ghost up at the castle?

I have read all of these books as individual stories and am really glad to see them in this great collection. I highly recommend this box set.
Tempting Fate
Fast-paced Shifter tale with mystery, secrets, humorous banter and a curse that seems to have a life of its own. Morgan and Roderick must trust each other if they want to survive. The attraction between these great characters is obvious from the start, and Morgan is determined to change fate.
Teasing Fate
Wade is such a lovely character, so thoughtful of others, but when a wolf pack threatens his mate Carolina, all this changes. Wade is a loner, always moving to avoid putting down roots, but as his feelings for Carolina grow, he is determined to protect her and let the future take care of itself. I loved this story, action, danger, confusion and romance all rolled into a wonderful storyline that grabs your interest from the very beginning.
Toying With Fate
Brandon and Ana Had a history that was unforgettable, but when Brandon was unable to get to their wedding, he left her behind for her own safety. Ana has struggle for a year, trying to make the best of her life with a ‘second choice’ boyfriend who lets her do everything. When she decides to locate Brandon and give him back his ring, she is in for a surprise. The banter between these two characters is funny and sad at the same time. Brandon is afraid his bear will attack Ana and is determined to keep his distance, but the bear has other plans. I really enjoyed the confrontation with her ‘ex’.
Twisting Fate
Wow! Just when you thought it was safe to enter Bearclaw castle, the Curse returns with a vengeance. This time Vaughn must try to overcome the whispers trying to turn him against Mimi. Will he succeed, or will he kill the only woman he will ever love?
Triumph Over Fate
Wow, what a great ending to this series. So much suspense, and danger, with a twist that makes things more difficult for our newest clan members, Mordekai (Kai) and Stormi. These delightful characters must not only struggle against the curse, but also an unexpected spectre, that is determined to keep them guessing. I loved the attraction between these two main characters and really enjoyed the story. Don’t miss this series.

I loved these fantastic paranormal romances, great escapism and pure delight. Bearclaw Castle’s shifters try and find and win their mates all while trying to break the curse (bit you’ll have to read to see what that’s about) Each can be read as a stand-alone, however the best enjoyment is to be found reading them all as there is an plot that ties them all together. A fabulous set of characters (alpha bears who need their mate and strong females) enjoyable and addictive story , this 5 books series is definitely worth your time.

Tempting Fate

Love the first book in the new series. Roderick Carson has come back to Bearclaw Castle where he and his family used to spend happy summers together. Before the tragedy. Now he plans to clean it up and make it livable; hoping to draw his brother home so he can see him again before the beast he carries inside him ends his life.

Morgan D'Marco has prophetic dreams. She has seen bad things about to happen at Bearclaw Castle. In the past, she had been able to change things if she tries. When she meets Roderick she knows she has to help him get rid of the evil that permeates his home. But what exactly is it and why does it keep trying to kill her?

Teasing Fate

Book 2 is about Wade Santana, who you might remember from the first book. Wade is a bear shifter like Roderick and has been helping him work on Bearclaw Castle. He has come into town to a local antique shop to buy a mirror to replace one that Morgan broke. His bear is unusually excited for some reason and he soon figures out the reason is the shop proprietor, Carolina Short. Unfortunately for his bear, he overhears a conversation that convinces him that Carolina is a lesbian, thus would not be interested in him or his bear.

Carolina is having a bad year. Her father, whom she was not close to, died and left her with a mound of debt that his "creditors" expect her to pay. Since her antique store does not produce the kind of income she would need to pay the debt, and she has loans of her own, she is between a rock and another rock. These creditors do not seem like the kind to take "no" for an answer. When the huge, handsome cowboy walks into her shop she immediately likes him, but he doesn't seem like the type to be in the market for a lot of her merchandise. When she finds out that he works for the owner of Bearclaw Castle though, she thinks maybe some of the contents of the house could be the answer to her prayers. Now all she has to do is convince Wade to let her come and look around.

I won't spoil the story for you. I will say that her "creditors" are wolves and they have plans for her that don't involve her paying them the money owed to them. It will take Wade and his whole pack to help her fight her way out of this mess, and she will be irrevocably changed by the experience.

Toying with Fate

I loved Ana and Brandon's story. Ana shows up in town to return Brandon's engagement ring. Seems he left her at the altar and then left town. Oops, that can't end well. Ana has a new boyfriend and when she receives a mysterious letter telling her where to find Brandon she decides it is time to give him back the ring and say good riddance. Unfortunately, he won't take it and she can't seem to leave town now that she has found him.

Brandon was bitten and turned into a bear at his bachelor party. There was no way he could show up for the wedding, and no way he could try to explain to Ana what happened to him. He was sure his uncontrollable bear would hurt her. It is only since he came to Bearclaw Castle to work and decided that Roderick was the answer to helping him get control of his bear. Roderick was his boss and his Alpha and he could smack down the monster when it wanted to fight and rage. Maybe someday he would have control and could be around a woman, of course by then Ana would be gone.

Ana gets a hotel room in town. She falls in love with an old restaurant that was once famous for its BBQ and wishes she could open up her own place and never go back home. All that waited for her there were bills and an out-of-work boyfriend who hadn't even texted her since she left, well not until the eviction notice appeared on the door. She made friends with two old men who used to own the restaurant. And a bear started showing up and sleeping outside her door every night. What was with that?

Twisting Fate

Loved this story, couldn't put it down. Mimi and Vaughn fit perfectly together.

Roderick's brother finally makes an appearance at Bearclaw Castle and we get much more information on the curse as it strikes again. Vaughn's main mission is to get Roderick and his clan out of the castle and away from the curse, or at least it is until he sees Mimi. You may remember that Mimi is unusual because she is a submissive bear shifter. Most men frighten her, especially if they are loud and prone to fighting. Since Vaughn's first act is to try to sneak up and his brother this puts him firmly in that category. But, surprising herself, Mimi jumps in to stop the family fight...then she runs to hide in the basement.

It seems that Mimi has a secret that she is sure will cause Roderick and the others to turn their back on her. Apparently, one of her ancestors is the reason for the curse and it has also affected her own descendants-and not in a good way. Mimi is determined to figure out a way to break the curse and free both families from its poison. As she and Vaughn tip-toe around their feelings for each other, she grows certain that the curse is affecting him. Can she figure out how to break its hold on him and ensure her future with her mate?

Triumph Over Fate

Loved, loved, loved Kai and Stormi's story. Kai is Mimi's brother and has come to tell his sister that their father has died. He is astonished to find her mated to a Carson, living at the castle which he thinks should be torn down, and apparently not as submissive as she used to be. He and his bear are immediately attracted to the little human, Stormi. He tries to fight his desire since he isn't planning to stick around, but then he overhears her ex dissing her on the phone and decides someone needs a little lesson in manners and he is just the bear to give it. Things sorta roll from there.

Stormi is not entirely sure what exactly is going on at Bearclaw Castle, but she does know she is drawn to Mimi's brother, Kai. It doesn't matter that Mimi warns her to avoid him, she is sure he isn't interested in her anyway. She doesn't think she will ever have what Morgan, Mimi, and the others at the castle have. Her ex is busy putting her down and trying to get the TV she bought and paid for, and then he asks for the sex swing she got in hopes of spicing think up in the bedroom. The thing has never made it out of the box. But then Kai runs her ex off and offers to hang the swing for her. Maybe he will offer to try it out with her? Oh, joy.

Lots of things will get wrapped up before this one is over. You will love it.

Temping fate
Wow what a great start to the first book in this new series. Roderick Carson returns to the castle where his father murdered his mother right in front of him and he looses control of his bear for good, so before that happens he decides to fix Bearclaw castle in hopes that his brother Vaughn will come back so he can say good bye one last time. Morgan D’Marco is a Seer or see’s into the future and has a premonition about the castle and must save them. When she meets the gorgeous grumpy guy there he tells her to leave but she doesn’t she sticks around driving him crazy and stirs his bear back to life, could she be my mate, it doesn’t matter it’s too late. With evil around ever corner pulling them in different directions can they break the curse that holds the castle hostage and find the 3 stones to do it and do they have a shot of a future together in the end. Get this amazing book to find out what happens next.
Teasing fate
This is the second book in the series and I was just as captivated by this one as I was the first book. Wade is a bear shifter but not by choice it was forced upon him so now he must make the best of it and now he finds peace at bearclaw castle with Roderick and Morgan and after a mirror was broken he heads to the local antique shop and he finds his mate inside or so his bears thinks because Wade over hears her talking and believes she is a lesbian, well that’s just his luck isn’t it changed by force and now a mate he can never have because she is interested in woman. Carolina is trying to stay afloat after her father died and left her in a heap of gambling debt and the Luping loan sharks/ wolf shifters want what is owed to them but Carolina is hoping for a miracle and in walks the most sexiest man she has ever seen and wants him bad, then she learns he works for bearclaw castle and thinks he can help her if there is any antiques that she could buy from the owner and make a profit off and the clear up her debts.
Toying with fate
This book had my emotions all over the place in a good way, it’s about two people that should be together and married but aren’t because life changed the night before there wedding. Brandon was attacked and changed into a bear shifter the night before he was to marry the love of his life Ana but how can he marry her when he can’t control this thing inside of him , and what if he hurts or kills Ana he cannot live with that so he leaves her at the altar. Ana is devastated about what Brandon did and can’t understand why ? But she has moved on with a new partner but wants to return his ring and by chance she finds out where he is and tracks him down. Brandon is getting better handle on his bear but there is still something wrong until he runs into Ana again his Ana and his bear knows she is the one for him and seems to settle around her but can he have a second chance with her after all the pain he caused. When Ana sees Brandon again she knows that he is the only man for her and always will be but there is something different about him that she can see but is unsure what it is but that doesn’t change the way she feels when he looks at her and she at him. Is there any hope that these two work everything out between them or has the moment passed.
Twisting fate
This is the 4th book in this series and it was awesome I just couldn’t put it down and it kept me captivated till the very end. Vaughn Carson has returned home to convince his brother to leave Bearclaw Castle and it’s curse that lives within the walls so he can destroy it. Upon meeting the ragtag clan his brother has around him he try’s to get them to leave also but when he meet Mimi Fisher he was so drawn to her but he doesn’t need a mate. Mimi want to be with Vaughn but cannot because she is the reason the curse is bringing misery to the Carson’s or it was her ancestors that done it and she must find the 3 bricks that hold the curse with one already destroyed she must find the last two to save Vaughn and may have a future together. Does Mimi find the bricks in time or will the curse take Vaughn forever.
Triumph over fate
This book was so good that I didn’t want it to end, Kai and Stormi’s story drew me in because all they ever wanted was to be loved but neither of them ever had it or got it but together there world felt like they finally had peace. Stormi’s ex husband Zeke was a nasty man and only thought of himself and what he wanted and she wasn’t it. Now after meeting Kai she feels she can have the life she would never get from her ex and for Kai what would it mean to be happy with a mate such as Stormi and would she except him bear and all. I’ve loved the whole series and if you want a great read than this is the series for you.
This is an amazing series that I know that you will love just as much as I did, the characters kept you on the edge in each book and never stopped giving. A must read collection

Even though Kai and Stormi are drawn to each other, it's hard for them to analyze if there is a future. They both have so much weight on their shoulders. Will they be able to figure out everything they must and still think of a possible future? Or will everything destroy it. What about the ghost of Bearclaw Castle? What about Mimi? What about the heaviness of the past? This is a must read series. I highly recommend this book and this author. Seriously, a fantastic reading experience. Emilia Hartley delivers again and again.

Vaughn is confused as to why his brother wants to save the castle. That place had cursed his family for years. He really doesn't want to go back there, but he sees no other way. He has to get his brother and his followers out of there, so he can destroy that place for good. Mimi is part of his brother's group. She's there to try to find the last few stones that will break the curse her family placed years ago. But, does Vaughn and his family know it was Mimi's family that is the cause of all their troubles? What will happen if or when they find out? What a incredible reading experience this series has been. I can't wait for the next book. Emilia Hartley knows how to put it down, right? Simply awesome author. Now, you don't have to read every book in the series. But, it makes this series more enjoyable when you do. Besides, why take a taste of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving? And remember, if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

But when he finds out Caroline is in danger, he knows he has to protect her, mate or not. This is definitely an Emilia Hartley book. It is such an incredible reading experience. Now, if you're thinking about reading this book, you should start with book one, "Tempting Fate" first. I mean, why take a taste of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving. And remember, if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

Let me tell you, Emilia Hartley is one helluva author. I absolutely love her books and this one is no different. Roderick is losing himself to his bear and feels he doesn't have much time left. He is determined to restore his family's castle. Even though it holds some horrible memories. He feels if he does this his brother will come to him. But there's this gorgeous blond named Morgan, who knows otherwise. Her gift is telling her he must not do this. But, he doesn't want her opinion or hear anymore she has to say. But Morgan is determined she is going to make him listen, no matter what. Stubborn hot male! Great reading experience. I cannot wait until the next installment. Thank you so much Emilia Hartley, this book, as usual is fantastic. Remember, if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

Great series starter! Readers are pulled in right from the start with some compelling characters as well as a very big mystery. Roderick and Morgan are drawn to each other as well as to the castle. Things are left pretty much up in the air on one aspect while settled on the other. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Teasing Fate: 4 Stars
Carolina is in a world of trouble she can't begin to understand when her fathers death leaves her owing all his debts. The people she now owes have a lot more in mind than getting money from her and she has no idea what to do. When Wade meets her there's something about her that draws him in right away. Not only is she attractive but her troubles bring out his alpha side. Wade will do everything in his power, and in the packs power to ensure her safety. He's willing to protect her even when he thinks she's not interested. Once she makes it known the attraction is mutual there's no stopping their connection.

Toying With Fate: 4 Stars
Toying with Fate is the third book in this series. Without reading the others you would be missing out on the introduction of Brandon and might not understand how tenuous his hold on the beast is. In this book Brandon and Ana are reunited after he ran out on their wedding day. He left to keep her safe and she comes looking for him to get closure.

In this story the reader never sees his more uncontrollable side, all of his interactions with Ana come across as protective. Even when he's a big bear sleeping outside her motel door she doesn't feel she's in any danger. Even the old Coots next door don't think she's in danger.

This is a beautiful story of redemption and how allowing the right people into your life can allow you to overcome obstacles.

Twisting Fate: 4 Stars
This is the fourth book in the series and we actually get to find out more about the curse plaguing Bearclaw Castle. I would recommend reading the other books in this series first so you have an understanding of the characters and their situation.

Mimi is not like the other bear shifters we've met. She doesn't have the alpha aspect, being a submissive shifter she goes into hyperdrive when she meets Vaughn who is a larger than life alpha male. He's the type of guy that normally has her running and instead she keeps putting herself in the middle because she can't keep away. Mimi has her secrets though and is worried to let him in because when he finds out what she's hiding she knows he'll never forgive her.

I enjoyed the character dynamic of this story. There are quite a few twists and turns to keep readers engaged in the story. Readers will be rooting for the happy ending while trying to figure out if there's a way to actually break the curse before things get out of control once more.

Triumph Over Fate: 4.5 Stars

This is the 5th book in the series and for this one you really need to have read others in the series to follow along. There is so much back story about the curse and characters you need to know coming in (The only truly stand alone would be Brandon's story). This one focuses on Kai (Mimi's brother) and Stormi. These characters have already been introduced, although we learn much more about them this time.

Kai had come to town and Bearclaw castle to see Mimi and give her some family news, he's surprised to see how much she's changed and just how happy she is. Their family shouldn't be able to find happiness. He's blown away when he encounters the dark beauty of Stormi and sees she carries so much pain inside her jus below the surface, he's torn between running away and making her feel better.

There is a lot that goes into this story, at times it's like two different stories are playing out. We do finally get the resolution to the curse but there was a bit about Stormi's story to do with her ex that wasn't fully resolved. I wish there had been more or a conclusion instead of leaving that loose end in the open.

Morgan has glimpses of the future and when she has a vision of a dark evil and death at Bearclaw Castle she heads out there to see what has triggered her vision. When she arrives she finds a big sexy man preparing to repair the building who seems to think he has no future and she soon finds she wants him to have that future with her.
Teasing Fate
Carolina Short is worrying about the debt that she is expected to pay after her father’s death when a big man wearing a cowboy hat enters her antique shop. Bear shifter Wade Santana is looking for a replacement for a large mirror which had been broken in Bearclaw Castle. He gives Carolina a shard of glass from the mirror to match the new mirror against as it was one of a pair. It is arranged for her to visit Bearclaw to look at the other mirror and where the replacement will be placed. Carolina is visited before she goes to the castle by large men who tell her to pay the debt and threaten her. When Wade greets her he scents wolves and know if she has been targeted by them she is in danger.
Toying with Fate
Ana is heading to Bearclaw Castle the address someone had send her for Brandon the man who had left her at the altar a year ago. As she nears her destination she pulls into the side of the road to get up the courage to see him again but as she stand by the car catching her breath a truck stops beside her and the Driver asks if she has broken down. When she turns from the car she is shocked to see a wider more muscular Brandon. She finds he still makes her want him but she is also still angry at him.
Twisting Fate
Mimi is an unusual submissive Bear shifter who tends to react with fear to raised dominant voices. As she is pulling weeds a bear comes charging towards her and collides with another one she recognizes as Roderick but the other is unknown. Roderick's mate comes out of the castle and it soon becomes apparent that the strange bear is Roderick's brother Vaughn. Mimi is intrigued by her reaction to Vaughn as when gets angry she find she is not reacting with fear and she finds he is constantly on her mind.
Triumph Over Fate
Stormi Blackford had gone to Bearclaw Castle for a party at the invitation of her friend Morgan and found it an uncomfortable place with a ghost haunting it. She finds herself staring at Mimi's brother estranged Kai and wonders what could have happened between them. He makes some a nasty comment to her and she finds herself snapping back at him telling him what she thinks of him but still finds herself thinking about his. When her ex sends her a message that he wants the TV and the sex swing Kai offers to try it out with her.

Roderick is just more! I know that little sentence does not convey much thought but for me it describes him perfectly. He is more than human , more than just a bear and he is a fierce protector.

I feel some kind of way about Brandon. The expectation that something super traumatic happened to him and that is why he could not control his bear. Being bitten without permission is cause for trauma but I needed something more. Now that my selfish wants have been addressed let me tell you how I really feel about the book.

So not what I was expecting but I still enjoyed the ride with Brandon and Ana. There are some new characters that will not be the fore runners of the book but they are seriously a hoot to read about.

Twisting Fate #4 For Your Protection

Finally read the right story and it was great.

Vaughn is a Carson who has lived under his family's curse and wants nothing to do with the old home. He has roamed the country doing different things to appease his bear but when he finds out his brother is back nothing can keep him away.

Mimi is a submissive bear that is basically scared of everyone with strong emotions. It will take someone so different to give her what she needs.

This story was fun to read as Mimi comes into her own.

Triumph Over Fate #5 Ghost Coverage

Wow getting to know Kai is definitely interesting in this book. I would like to think he is more than his troublemaker past.

His physical description makes the reader wish there was a picture of this guy.

Ghost whisper Stormi life is not how she planned on living and the changes have thrown her for a loop. Again this character is more than meets the eye. Will she have the chops to help defeat the curse?

I am so glad to have read Vaughn and Mimi's story before I now go on to enjoy book 5! Vaughn has come to Bearclaw Castle to get his brother to leave it - and to destroy the castle that destroyed his parents - but meeting Mimi has him confused. Mimi hasnt told anyone why she is really there - will her secret kill whatever it is that is building for them? A great story!

Kai came to Bearclaw Castle with hate for the Carsons, and searching for his sister Mimi, who had left him behind with their father. He had to tell Mimi that their father had died - but finds her mated to one of the Carson brothers.
When he meets Stormi, his feelings are confused - but the ghost haunting the castle does not make things easy for any of them. Will Storrmi finally be able to find the last stone placed by Mimi's ancestor and break it to end the curse for good? Will Kai get over blaming the Carsons for the life the curse put him through, and find happiness with Stormi? I have loved each of the stories in this series!

Tempting Fate - A great start to a new series.
Roderick is all beast. He just wants to glad his brother into appearing. Morgan had other ideas.
Morgan had seen the future, she is going to do all she can to change it.
I love these characters, the story is lovingly written with great detail and care.
The supporting cast are interesting and engaging, especially Mimi. I look forward to their stories.
Teasing Fate - I loved this story.
Wade and Carolina are the perfect blend of: hurt, loss, angst, anger and resignation to light the pages in there battle to survive. Both have different scars but fate has decided they should be together to heal.
And what a ride fate has for them.
I loved the story, the character detail and the supporting cast.
I really enjoyed the to and frow, the bickering and interfering pack.

Vaughan is back to knock some sense into his brother but all is not as he expects.
Mimi is afraid of everything, why is she not afraid of Vaughan.
Mimi is not going to get a happy ever after, the Curse is playing tricks on her.
I love the characters, the story is beautifully detailed with great feeling and understanding for the story nuances.
Triumph Over Fate - This is a brilliant conclusion to an epic series.
Bearclaw Castle has given us great love stories and this final does not disappoint.
Kai is looking for his sister, she ran away and left him to cope with his father. When he finds her he cannot believe the change in her.
Stormi feels lost, her ex is harassing her, her best friend has moved on in her life and she feels lost. Stormi had always wanted a family but can family be more than blood and marriage.
Great characters woven into an engaging plot. I loved the story detail and character interplay.
I highly recommend this, series and author.

Tempting Fate: She is trying to change the future, he is sure he is on his way out. Will he allow her to stay?

Have to say I loved these two characters. I loved the fact that she was determined to do whatever she could to save him and get the curse raised. I loved that he wanted to hold her at arms length thinking that it would save her, but in the end his heart won. Good read!

Teasing Fate: He believes when he changed, he became unlovable. She is struggling with her father's sins. He believes one thing, but his bear is trying to tell hi differently. Will they get a chance at a future?

I was so excited to see another bear find his mate and it did not dissapoint. I honestly thought despite everything that she was dealing with at that moment, she was rather strong. I didn't blame him for struggling with his bear, but loved how despite his feelings towards himself, he was absolutely determined to protect her at any cost. Great read, can't wait to start the next!

Toying With Fate: One year ago, he left without a word, now she is determined to find out why. Will she stay when she learns the truth?

Have to say after reading this, I felt so bad and absolutely loved his character. I didn't blame her for wanting answers, but loved how she started standing up for herself and was ready to make herself whole again. I didn't blame him for leaving her with his fear, but loved when he started to realize that he could be somewhat in control and that everyone else wasn't perfect. Great read and cannot wait for the next!

Twisting Fate: He is determined to talk his brother into leaving, she is determined to break the curse. Will she get the future she has always longed for?

I was sooo excited to see her story come out and I was not disappointed. I loved the fact that there was so much more to this quiet, submissive woman than what everyone saw on the surface. I didn't blame him for wanting to get everyone out, but loved how he couldn't help, but be drawn to her and how his bear was determined to do anything necessary to protect her. Great read!

Triumph Over Fate: She is struggling from her divorce, he is struggling with his family curse. Fate has plans. Can he learn to trust and love? Can she save everyone?

This series definitely should be read in order and it's definitely a must read. I loved how she was determined to move forward despite the blows she had been dealt. I loved seeing him open himself up to a possible future and to realize his past didn't need to hold himself back. Absolutely loved the last book in this series!

This was Awesome! I love Emilia’s books! This story is so sweet and full of mystery. You have a seer who goes to a downtrodden bear. She tries to change the future which results in her death at the hands of the bear. The bear becomes an Alpha to some other misfits and decides he has things to live for. The entire story flows well and is written well. I am so looking forward to the other books in this series.

I loved this book! The characters in this book are a little more low key than the ones in the first book. Wade is a very quiet individual who has trouble with what he is now, he was not given a choice to be a shifter. Carolina is a quiet sweet woman who has troubles left behind by her father. Throw in some bad wolf shifters and you have a rousing story that keeps you guessing thru the whole book. I really enjoy Emilia’s books and this one does not disappoint.

Toying with Fate
Wonderful Story! This is book 3 of the series and it is still going strong. Brandon is the youngest and newest of the shifters and he has a hard time controlling his bear. When the love of his life comes back into the picture he seems to gain control. I love the castle and the fact they are all working to restore it, but there has been no more mention of the bricks that have the curse since book one. I can’t wait for the next book.

Twisting fate

I was wondering if the other brother would show up, and now he has. I think he was the luckiest one of all because he got Mimi, and she seemed to blossom with him. They are the perfect match for each other and they destroyed another stone. Now I really need to know what happens in the last book because all of the original shifters have found mates. This story was well written and kept me reading from start to finish.

Triumph over fate

Awesome conclusion! I was happy to see that there was a final twist to end the story. Kia and Stormi were a good match up as they could both see ghosts. Stormi was only touched on in a few of the stories so far so I am glad she got her own. Kia being Mimi’s brother is icing on the cake. All of the major players are in place and hope to end the curse forever. I really enjoyed the entire story and it had some naughty bits that were great. And of course you have the token ex who had to be a pill. I am eagerly looking forward to the next writing adventure from Emilia.

Lot of action, suspense, mystery, drama, some violence, amusing scenes, camaraderie, romance and passion. Liked how each protagonist had to deal with the curse upon them and how their future mates had the power to help them. Interesting twists with surprises that kept me intrigued. Loved that each one had a different situation but all of them were related and helping toward the end. Read each story individually, enjoyed them and voluntarily reviewed this box set.

Wade Santana became a bear shifter after he was attacked by a bear and his life has been changed forever because of it. From the moment he sees Caroline his inner bear lets him know she is his mate. Teasing Fate is book two of The Curse of Bearclaw Castle. This well written story is packed with danger, fated mates, magic, mystery, suspense, romance, twists, and a page turning story that held my attention from beginning to end.

Toying With Fate: Bk3:
When Brandon left Ana at the alter she never thought she would ever see him again. Brandon left Ana when a bear bit him and turned him into a shifter with a bear inside that he can't control. Rather than physically hurting Ana he ended out hurting her emotionally. These two go on quite a journey of love as they deal with past hurts and find love again.

Twisting Fate: Bk4:
Vaughn Carson is a loner and wants to tear down his ancestral home Bearclaw Castle because he believes it's cursed his family. Mimi is determined to find the two stones because their destruction will break the curse that her ancestor put on the Carson family. I loved Vaughn and Mimi for each other. Their action packed story is packed with drama, angst, danger, twists, fated mates, steam, and an ending that left me wanting more.

Triumph Over Fate: Bk5:
Triumph Over Fate is the final book in The Curse of Bearclaw Castle and is Kai and Stormi's journey of love. When Kai headed to Bearclaw Castle to tell his sister about their dad's death he finds his sister has mated with one of the Carsons. He also meets Stormi and something inside him ignites. Stormi is Morgan's human business partner who sees ghosts. These two go through a lot to get their HEA but it made it that much sweeter. From the intriguing story packed with family drama, angst, ghosts, twists, and interesting characters this is a fantastic end to The Curse of Bearclaw Castle series. I look forward to reading the next great series by Emilia Hartley.

I absolutely loved this series. Each book contains strong characters, with pasts that I loved digging in to and connections that couldn’t be pulled apart. The stories flow, pull you in to this world that was created by the author and had me enjoying every minute.

LOVE! This is a great start to this series and I was completely pulled in to their world. Roderick is stubborn in his determination, a bit broken and his story twisted my heart. I adore Morgan, she's fun and light. The story flows, kept me on my toes and I am excited about the other characters as well!

Teasing Fate book 2
Fantastic! I just love this series and these characters are strong and able to carry their story so well. Wade is a bit mysterious, someone that caught my attention early on. Carolina is sweet and put in a bad position. My heart twisted for her and definitely brought out some emotions. It all mixed together so well and I loved it! I can't wait to dig in to the next book in this series.

Great read! I just love this series! The world that has been built, the characters, their shared commitment to their pack and the friendships that are getting stronger. I've been very pulled to Brandon since the beginning and loved getting to dig deeper in to his story and his connection with Ana. She's strong and determined, someone that clicks well with Brandon and the others. It's a great second chance romance and a must in this series.
Twisting Fate book 4

Holy smokes! This book absolutely had me twisted up and on the edge of my seat. Vaughn and Mimi are so intense and I've been so curious about Mimi since we first met her. This curse hanging over the castle, over these families, is played out so well, I just love it. These two characters have such a pull, the ups and downs, the pure sweetness that go along with that to tell a great story... just a must read!

I have truly enjoyed this series and this book fit perfectly! I loved Kai and Stormi, they click so well and that pull that Kai has to her is great. The search for the third stone has added that bit of mystery to the series and loved the added touches. I love these characters and getting to dig into their lives more. Kai had me hooked!

Ana and Braden were engaged five years ago, he left her at the altar, she had no idea why. On his stag night he'd been bitten by a rogue bear and become a bear shifter, he ran away as he felt guilty and worried that he would hurt her.
Ana has arrived to give him his ring back, so she can get over him, but there is still an energy between them, in fact he thinks she's his mate. She meets the other shifters, not knowing what they are.

Twisting Fate
Vaughn has come to the castle to try to persuade Roderick, his brother, to leave, but Roderick has no intention of leaving. Mimi is a bear shifter too, but she's very meek and mild, she's also hiding a big secret.
Vaughn won't go into the castle but stays in the boathouse, but that also seems to be tainted by the curse.

Triumph over Fate
Stormi is at the Bearclaw castle to see her friend, Morgan, she's been married but her ex divorced her when she wanted children.
Kai is Mimi's brother, she seems to be frightened of him. It's all to do with the curse. Kai is a bear shifter and only Morgan knows that Stormi can see ghosts.

Tempting Fate: I really liked this Paranormal book; it's has mystery, drama, a few sweet moments; also great characters, a very gripping and good storyline , no cliffhanger

Teading Fate: Wade and Carolina meet over their loves of antiques.
They each have secrets they don't want to share; don't those always have a way to come out ? ;)
Slow building attraction between main characters, lots of emotional scenes and drama.
Add a couple sexy scenes and visits from past characters and you get this unputdownable story !


Toying Fate is the 3rd installment and Brandon's story.
A great second chance romance. I really liked this one; it's a gripping story from start to finish and it's very well written.
It's full of deeply troubled emotions, angst, drama and lotsa heat between Brandon and Ana's troubled souls.
Always fun to hear from past characters; Hugh and Bert's characters are a hoot !!

Twisting Fate: fourth book and my favorite in the series; the title is perfect.
This is Mimi's story and we get to finally meet Vaughn, Roderick's long lost brother.
We also get to learn more about the curse itself and how Mimi's ancestor was involved in its creation.
The story was very well written; I was so into it that I couldn't put it down before the end !!
It's full of deeply felt emotions and of twists and turns.
I liked it so much that I will read it again :)


Triumph over fate: my second favorite book in this series.
Kaï is Mimi's brother; he's here to deliver his sister some news and to tear Bearclaw Castle down.
Stormi is Morgan's partner at their fortune telling store, best friend and a ghost hunter.
When they set their eyes on each other, sparks of interest fly...

I thoroughly enjoyed this very emotional and gripping story; it's great conclusion to a great shifter romance series.
It's so well written; every word, emotion and situation has its place.

I highly recommend this series to those who not only like shifter stories but to those who like their PNR books with a bit of mystery.

Great series of suspenseful, curse-breaking, paranormal romance books! I really enjoyed this completed series, and I whole-heartedly recommend to all fans of paranormal shifter romance. The series' plot involves a curse on a family castle, and each couple's story builds on the family, the castle, the larger setting, or the curse itself. I loved the deep characterization, the interesting twists, the buried secrets, and the way fears can undermine any relationship. Contains: shifters, fated mates, psychics, witches, curses, and quite a lot of cursing Fate. Linked plots should be read in order.

Book 1 – Tempting Fate – Roderick's bear-shifting and Morgan's abilities make for an interesting dynamic, and it starts the series on a strong foundation when they discover the curse. Must admit, I loved Roderick's starting motivations for why he came back and wanted to renovate the castle. First glimpses of Stormi, Wade, Brandon, and Mimi, too!
Book 2 – Teasing Fate – Wade's assumptions start off his relationship with Carolina on the wrong foot, but as they work through their personal and mutual issues, the lore of shifters grows more complex and intriguing.
Book 3 – Toying with Fate – Brandon was closed-off until his ex Ana showed up, and the way this took him from being a token, intermittent problem for the pack to a complex individual was definitely top quality.
Book 4 – Twisting Fate – Vaughn and Mimi seem doomed from the start, and I loved how well their issues were developed. More details of the curse, too, which made for compelling reasons to fight it for all involved.
Book 5 – Triumph Over Fate – This book started on almost the same note as the previous; Kai, like Vaughn, wanted the castle destroyed outright. But this time it branched in a different direction, and another human (Morgan's friend, Stormi) got introduced to the shifter pack.

Teasing Fate: This book is about Wade Santana and Carolina Short. Wade is a bear shifter and Carolina is a human. Carolina is in trouble with some wolves who are out to collect a debt owed by her father. Wade decides to protect her. This book is well written with wonderful characters. I really liked Mr. Brightside! Everything is well defined. Great read!
Toying with Fate: This a very good book with really wonderful characters. I have really enjoyed reading about Brandon and Ana. The difficulties they face (other than the shifter part) are very realistic. I really liked Hugh and Bert. I'm so looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Excellently done.
Twisting Fate: This book is about Mimi Fisher and Vaughn Carson. Vaughn is a bear shifter and the brother of Roderick. He came to Bearclaw Castle to get everyone to leave. Mimi is also a bear shifter. She works for Roderick. The 2 of them have an instant connection, but are unaware of what it is. Between dealing with the castles issues and their attraction, they have plenty on their plates. This is well written and has really good characters. Everything is well defined. I really enjoyed reading this book!
Triumph Over Fate: I really enjoyed reading about Kai and Stormi. They both are dealing with everything that happened in the past, and the curse. I enjoyed the way that everyone had to do their part. This is a very well written book and the characters are wonderful. I am looking forward to reading more.

This is the complete Curse of Bearclaw Castle series which is about five bear shifters and their experiences of living within a cursed castle. I loved reading this series and I especially loved that this series was brand new to me. I have read a lot of Emilia Hartley's books but haven't read this series until this box set. I like her writing because I find her shifter stories are engaging and entertaining, with likable characters who are passionate romantic and with a story line that has a little mystery, drama action and twists and turns to keep me flipping the pages. This box set was another set I enjoyed reading and I volunteer to review via Booksprout. This series starts with "Tempting Fate" and ends with "Triumph Over Fate".
Tempting Fate
This story is about Roderick Carson and Morgan D’Marco. Roderick, bear shifter, returns back to his family castle to restore it, hoping to be reunited with his brother Vaughn. Roderick is struggling with controlling his volatile bear and counts the day when his bear will take over his body, ending with madness. Morgan, fortune teller, had a vision that terrible things are going to happen at the castle and drives to the castle, hoping that no one is there, but meets Roderick. Morgan tells Roderick of the evil presence within the castle but he ignores her warnings so now she is determined to save him. Coming back in the morning Morgan knocks and come face to face with a grizzly bear which runs away, but when Roderick appears, Morgan knows. As they spend time together, they find themselves attracted to each other, but will Morgan be able to save Roderick from the curse on his family? What happens next in this story made this a page turner. This story also introduces the others - Wade, Brandon, Mimi and Vaughn who are continued in the rest of this series. ARC

Tempting Fate
It's well-written with wonderful characters, Roderick is a grumpy alpha bear and Morgan is a quirky woman with the gift of sight, she wants nothing more than to help Roderick. Wonderful story, great characters, can't wait to read what happens next. 

Teasing Fate
Wade and Carolina are both wonderful characters, stubborn and sassy. Plenty chemistry between them, entertaining story.

Toying With Fate
Wonderfully entertaining story, well-written with a fast-paced second chance shifter storyline. Brandon left Ana at the alter after he had an unfortunate incident at his bachelor party, Ana tracks him down to close the past and move forward. The attraction between them is still sizzling, I really enjoyed their story.

Twisting Fate
This is a wonderful addition to The Curse of Bearclaw Castle series, fast-paced with a storyline that pulls you in, wanting to help break the curse so finally Mimi can be happy with a loved mate. Vaughn comes to the castle to convince his brother, Roderick to move his pack away from the castle that has bad memories for them.
Vaughn is smitten with the quiet beauty that Mimi is, wonderful to see her come out her shell. Wonderful Story....

Triumph Over Fate
This is the fifth and final book in The Curse of Bearclaw Castle series, fast-paced and quick to read, packed with plenty of drama and intrigue, this shifter romance is mixed with some paranormal drama as the ghost in the castle is finally been chased away by Stormi and her love for Kai. Wonderful chemistry between them. Really a great ending to a captivating series.

This is a wonderful collection of the CURSE OF BEARCLAW CASTLE series. It had a hard time picking which one to highlight in a review because I read all of them and thoroughly enjoyed the story line and characters. However, I am including a review below to give you an idea of what you will find in this set. There is a good variety here and this author will pull the reader right into the stories! *** Reviewing “TOYING WITH FATE (#3)” ***
One of the hardest things to deal with is not knowing why something happened. Ana and Brandon were getting married. But when he is attacked and becomes a bear shifter, instead of telling Ana what happened, he just doesn’t show up for the wedding! In his defense, he was afraid the bear inside would hurt her – but walking out like that hurt her even more. Ana is left with self-doubt, low self-esteem, and a million questions as to what happened when they were supposed to love each other! She felt like she couldn’t move on with her life until she at least returned his ring, but she didn’t know where to start looking for him.

When an address is provided to Ana, she tries to find Brandon. His bear calms when she is near. Is it too late to try to rebuild the trust they lost? Do they still love each other enough to give it another try?

I love these shifter stories. Two very unhappy people, seemingly unable to fix their problem. Will they find a way to regain what they have lost? Grab your copy and see if their situation can resolve and restore the love between them, or if too much pain will keep them apart.

This is one of the best set of books I’ve read in this genre, the characters will keep you on your toes all night long.

Tempting Fate: I so loved this wonderful book. I loved how Morgan didn’t let anything stop her, she knew she could change the future. I knew Roderick had it in him to change his future too. I loved all the action, suspense, intrigue, and surprises. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop, cause I had to find out how it ended.

Teasing Fate: This book is so great. So much action and excitement. I was hooked from the very first page, it just kept getting better as it went along. Loved Carolina’s animals names. Loved how much Wade wanted to protect her even thinking she wasn’t for him. Great characters.

Toying with Fate: This wonderful book had me hooked from the start. I was hoping I’d get to read Brandon’s story and here it is. Ana is a strong understanding woman, she loved Brandon so much and was there for him even after how he hurt her. I thought Hugh and Bert were great characters, they had me laughing at their words. An all around awesome story.

Twisting Fate: Such a terrific book, I couldn’t put Mimi and Vaughn’s story down. I loved how much chemistry they had, Mimi would do anything to break the curse for Vaughn and her pack mates. Watching their relationship grow and how their bear’s behaved towards the other was wonderful.

Triumph Over Fate: I loved this terrific book this book has it all suspense, passion, ghosts, and twists that keep you guessing. I loved how protective Kai was, before he even knew Stormi. I really enjoyed Stormi’s character, she is very special. I couldn’t get enough of the action, never a dull moment.

Tempting Fate - set the stage for upcoming events. Roderick Carson sets out on one goal and finds himself on a completely different path. Morgan storms into his life and is determined to change foreseen events. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. I literally could not go to sleep. I was humored, frustrated and in the end smiling. It was a short read that left me wanting more!

Teasing Fate - explores Wade, one of the hired hands from Tempting Fate, finding his mate. Cynthia, Wade’s mate, brings less secrets than the castle occupants and employees but has a situation that is dangerous. Wade and Cynthia offset one another’s personalities so their interactions are quite entertaining. The build up to their relationship is so much fun to read and hold enough intrigue that I was angry at times and laughing at others.

Toying with Fate - Had to be my favorite! This is another employees’ story, Brandon. Brandon displayed some serious issues up until this point. This story made him far more endearing. I found the heroine Anastasia annoying at times. Her looking for closure seemed senseless and juvenile more often than not but her quick wit made her more likable. Hugh and Bert, Ana’s neighbors, kept a smile on my face. Those characters painted such an awesome picture. There’s also more interaction with the other characters. This story made me dislike Cynthia and wish that Morgan would stop being such a busy body.

In this set we get 5 stories of men and the curses they carry. They all believe they are destined to be alone but still are all drawn to the castle. What they don't know is that their mate it looking for them and is ready to help them break their curse. If only they will let them in to actually help. In Teasing Fate: In this book we meet Caroline Short and Wade Santana. When these two first meet Was has come into her antique shop to acquire a silver mirror. While there his bear smells his mate but Wade knows that can't be true especially since she is currently on the phone with her girlfriend. Not only is it sure it has found its mate but that she needs him as much too. Caroline knows she has never seen a more beautiful man in her life. The thing he is asking for though is something that she isn't sure she can get. The sale of such and item though would definitely get her home and shop from under the loan sharks her father used to feed his gambling habit. She wonders though if there is more antiques in Bearclaw Castle that could not only save her business but bring her more than she ever though she could have. If only she can convince them to 1 not only look but 2 sell for them. When things get rough though these two turn to each other. Will this be the beginning of a HEA or the end of one of them?

Amazing set will let you read from one story to the next. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

Can’t say I didn’t warn you.

(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Each fantastic book reads as standalone restoring Bearclaw Castle is a whirlwind of reads. The Alphas and the queens that bring them to their knees. Keeping you wondering where they are off to next, who will they corrupt next, so what happens when emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form. But when fate put things, people in place and love rears her beautiful head throwing yet another wrench into the works this set is what you will get. I suggest you get comfortable because once you start book one you won’t stop until the last page of the last book has been read.

This boxset contains the complete set of books in the Curse of Bearclaw Castle series: Tempting Fate, Teasing Fate, Toying with Fate, Twisting Fate, and Triumph Over Fate. Can I give this set more than five stars? I loved this collection of books and have found a new favorite author, a few more books may have already found their way to my tablet. The books are well written, entertaining, and steamy. The stories were so enjoyable I had a hard time putting them down.

This set of books centers around the curse put on the Carson family who are the bear shifters that own Bearclaw Castle. Long ago a vindictive woman placed a curse on Bearclaw Castle that would affect future generations causing them to go mad and turn on each other. The whole series kicks off with Roderick the oldest Carson son returning to the castle in hopes that his brother Vaughn will show up so he can see him one last time before his beast takes over. What he doesn't expect to find is his possible mate who turns out to be the local fortune teller and a very determined woman wanting to change the future or to take in and become the alpha to a ragtag band of shifters. Now they have only one choice, break the curse or suffer the same fate as the Carson brothers’ parents.

I was very fortunate to read this book series and enjoyed each one of them. It was hard to pick which one I liked the most because each of the books introduced another character into the series to get to know. But the one book in the series that stood out to me was "Tempting Fate" book #4.

Vaughan, the long lost brother of Roderick, has returned to Bearclaw Castle to destroy it. When Vaughan encounters Mimi, his bear calls to her. He knows that Mimi is hiding something. Mimi hasn't been able to tell anyone who she is and why she is at the castle for fear of what will happen to her. Mimi is a strong woman even though she is a submissive shifter but I think otherwise. She left her father and brother to help Roderick with the castle because of her family history with it.

I liked Mimi because even though her father treated her badly, she had the guts to leave to go to Bearclaw Castle. Because one of her ancestors put a curse on it, Mimi is there "undercover" to help break the curse. Even though Mimi is quiet and submissive she is much stronger than she thinks. Be sure to read this series and her other series that this author has written . This author did great job of pulling you into each of her books. Enjoy!

Morgan and Roderick have chemistry but the curse of Bearclaw castle will make their romance very interesting and dangerous. Wade and Mimi are intrigued with each other but Mimi is a submissive bear shifter and has a secret related to the curse that keeps her from being able to trust anyone for fear her secret will get her rejected and force her to leave this new family / clan that makes her feel safe for the first time in her life. Brandon and Ana is a tale of a man turned shifter that runs away and a jilted bride who wants to return the engagement ring to be able to move on. Her boyfriend is a non-working, demanding jerk who shows his colors when he doesn't ask if she is okay just demands she return to pay rent on apartment. Brandon finds Ana helps his struggles to control his bear and can't control his love for Ana that never died. Kai and Stormi have a lot to work through. Kai is Mimi's estranged brother. Kai has been raised by an abusive father to be aggressive. Stormi just got divorced from a nasty, manipulative, verbally abusive man who is an a**hole. The curse causes a lot of issues for these two that takes TRUST from both to make this succeed.
