A MMF Romance

Julia

They say the truth will set you free. But whose truth are we talking about?
My truth is that I am in love with two men.
Loving them almost destroyed me.
And now I’m pregnant with our child.
Justin is my sun. Remi is my moon. Together they are my world.
But once a world has been shattered, can it be rebuilt?
Justin and Remi once asked me what I wanted, and my answer hasn’t changed.
I want everything.
But most of all, I want us to be free.

not so much a triad

I love the characters and the first book was phenomenal, the second was fairly solid and with the third I can honestly say that Julia is not one of the true main characters but a solid 2nd. The love story is more about Justin and Remi and that basically just blows. Julia is part of the book but not enough of her narrative is in it as the story regresses despot the fact she’s pregnant in the 3rd book and more of her story is via the guys.

I just finished the series..

By the end of this 3 parter… I was a little disappointed I gotta be honest. I felt like Julia ended up on the outside a fair bit. She wasn’t as prominent as the books progressed. When I read Triad relationships, I expect it to be equal otherwise it feels a little unfair.
I really liked the first book.
The second one frustrated me at times.
But this one really bugged me. It felt like Justin & Remi’s love story and Julia was just there. In fact there are times Justin and Remi forget she’s even there in the room with them even after just having sex with her. They get swept up in each other.
Their love declarations were non stop. They felt special for each other but just generic for Julia. It would go like Remi saying something “I love Julia but your my person Justin.”
When Julia is fired because of their trinity marriage… while she’s decompressing in the bath, Remi & Justin are fucking around outside the door. I just felt like that moment they should have been focusing on being there for her. Not each other.
Same goes she does this amazing thing for the boys, changing their last names and putting all her wishes and assets into giving them control equally if anything happens to her. Justin immediately spills her surprise to Remi hours later and they leave her out of planning their wedding. I know it’s meant to be a romantic on their behalf but I didn’t like that Justin kinda claimed credit for her big gesture and spilled the beans because he knew Remi best that he doesn’t like surprises. I had been looking forward to Julia telling Remi. To them having that special moment.
They go to couples therapy without her. I know Julia doesn’t want to go but that still feels like leaving her out. Couples therapy without the third member feels wrong. I don’t even know why Remi had to go to Justin’s therapist. Why not go to someone else, someone more impartial?
Also Julia is pregnant this book. She should have had the most narrative like how in the past Justin & Remi got their own POV more in “their” books. I was so looking forward to the pregnancy storyline for them all. I thought it would really bond them all together and make them super close especially after the turmoil of book 2. It didn’t. The pregnancy didn’t really add much to their relationship at all. Their sex life was still more prominent than actual plot.
Actually I found Julia’s pregnancy was more focused on Remi dealing with it than it was on Julia. Disappointing.
Julia’s role just felt like all she did was laugh at all the inappropriate & ridiculous things Justin would just declare to make Remi blush.
This wasn’t my first triad romance book but it was the first I was left feeling like it didn’t exactly work for me. It didn’t feel equal which sucked.

The last book was good.

Too much smexy time again. I would have liked to have normal couple time between them. Like the guys reaction the first time the baby moved.

Did Remi and his mom made up? Justin's parents were awesome! Did she ever heard anything from her farther? I was hoping he would come around to at least know about his grandbabies or when she got fired to at least act like a farther when it matters. But, Mrs Jones made up for it. Proofing blood is not thicker than water and love is not written in dna.

Will be looking at other books from the author.

SO SO GOOD! An excellent end to the trilogy. Top tier smut! Watching Remi become (for lack of a better word) throughout the series was just amazing and so well written. Also, love the Hermione callback since I first came across this book as a H/Hr/D triad on AO3! Can't wait to read whatever Amanda puts out next!

BEYOND AMAZING!!!

Beautifully written throughout…Remi had my heart in my throat. The love the three share is so pure. It doesn’t matter what people think about the LGBTQA community LOVE IS LOVE and we should just live and let live!

I truly loved this series!

This series had me on my toes and reading non-stop. I love an excellent story that includes (the image) of real people, tears, and laughter. I was able to visualize events in my mind as I read. To me that is the sign of an outstanding book.

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever. It's so beautiful. I love the three of them. I could read books and books about them and their family. Well done!
