I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
Whoowheee this was a battle from start to finish. Between dragons, orc rescue and final battles, Jonny and the gang face look for a win over the chosen but at what cost?
Ok I am so sick of Johnny and terrible captain save a hoe ideas 💡. He doesn't think or research things he let's his childhood trauma dictate his every move he takes important things and either pushes it off or forges till its to late. This series is good just wish he would wise up kind of hate the author made him a worse drama queen 👸 worse than a woman.
Hunters for Hire Book 4 by Jonathan Yanez, Godmothered, begins with weaponised hybrid human Jonny Hunter, being hired as a temporary school tutor in Basic Combat, at the Hogwarts-like Godmother Academy. Who's Odin? Who attacks the school? What does Tracy warn of? Where does Jonny run into Noc, a dragon with telepathic powers? What does he tell Jonny?
It's a race against time to get the item Noc has demanded as proof of H4H's strength to go up against the Chosen. With his Blood Rage Hammer ready for action, Jonny goes up against Typhon and his minions, to try to save the Headmistress, but fails. What did she do to Mithril before that?
A final showdown between good and evil, to prevent Ragnarök, by closing the portal between far-flung universes ensues...but can our heroes save Earth, or has Pandora's Box got a final, nasty new trick inside it this time? Get a copy of Jonathan Yanez' Godmothered to find out!
I'm not sure how I discovered these books however, I'm really really glad that I did! The characters are written so well it is phenomenal. The story just grabs you in and makes it so you can't put the book down until you finish because you want to know what's going to happen next. I've loved the plot twists, the humor in this book and series, and honestly overall everything about the books. I am going between reading on my Kindle and listening to the audio version and I have to say the voice actor for the audible version is doing a phenomenal job. He is definitely making the characters come alive and adds even more to the story. I cannot wait to start the next book in the series. Actually, I'm going to start it right now! If you have the chance to pick up these books I would highly recommend it.
I discovered Mr Yanez's books via another author's page & I'm hooked! I've been patiently waiting for this latest one to arrive & as always I've read it in one go .... I need to learn the longer it takes me to read the less I have to wait :)
So
If you like urban fantasy, brilliant characters, action, humour, weapons, myths & magic ...then buckle up buttercup!! A fantastic read, with twists & turns, plot twists that you don't see coming, tales that make you chew your nails (might only be me) one liners that might get you odd looks on the train as you actually laugh out loud, the characters are so well written I could see me wanting to hang out with them in real life So long as Jonathan Yanez keeps writing, I'll keep reading
"Fairy" godmothers aren't always fairies. In quest of his hybrid qualities Jonny goes to school - as an instructor in hand-to-hand combat for up and coming godmothers. New characters, Johnny's powers continue to develop, and the bad guys appear to continue to wreak havoc and bring on the end of the world. SOAP Agent Lees will have a lot to explain, if he makes it through this one. Definitely leaves me ready for more. Number 4 in Hunters for Hire.
and, now, we're just getting ridiculous. The expansion of the supernatural universe Yanez is creating is wearing more than a bit thin. Four books in and not one resolution of the myriad number of problems besetting John Hunter. And all the angst and unresolved teen trauma he shares with the readers continues to make me feel this series is more YA than contemporary adult fiction. Bring one of the meandering sub-plot threads to a credible close, please!
Jonny and his team grow together and become a formidable force. The team takes on the Chosen and their leader along with the Godmothers SOAP and the Court. Things are never as they seem and Jonny has a big soft heart. This is the fourth book in this series! Go Jonathan Go!
I enjoyed it, but I have to tell you, I'm getting tired of all of these cliffhanger endings. We are now on book 4 and every one of them keeps leaving a cliffhanger. I am beginning to tire of it and wish that there would be some sort of ending that at least ties up some of the plot threads that the author has put out there are still left dangling.
Jonny? A teacher? Yup, that'll work. Lol! Of course, nothing is ever simple where Jonny is concerned, and things aren't always what they seem. Love Jonny and JY's other characters. Really happy I found this series.
Jonathan Yanze again did a super job writing another story that keeps you turning the pages. There is so much to tell about the story but am afraid I would let something slip that I shouldn't. Read it to get all the excitement that are within the pages.
Mr Yanez you make me laugh, and whine at the same time. New premises and practitioners make this a fun, energetic story. I have enjoyed this series immensely.
I've been off of reading for quite awhile but J Yanez has gotten me back in the game. Love the storylines and characters. They've all come to mean a lot to me.
I was enjoying this series until it went off the rails in this, volume 4, and into rediculousness (okay not a word but it best describes where this book went). So sad about this. No more.
This series has no supernatural, just people solving complex puzzles & games and their relationships. Sucks me in so much I lose track of what is happening around me. sign of excellent writing.
